1081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: my XFX 7950 can't reach 500-550kh/s each, also some visual glitches when mining. on: April 26, 2013, 02:56:16 AM
You should not have your monitor plugged into an active mining gpu, it can, and will, cause artifacting.

guiminer has a scrypt version as well in alpha, it works great. its posted here on the forums, search 'guiminer scrypt'. it has prebuilt in settings for a majority of video cards, and both low and high usage settings for the top end cards (7950s included).
1082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC/FC exchange via Google Docs [Bid 20 LTC | Ask 19 LTC] on: April 26, 2013, 02:45:53 AM
I'm interested in selling up to 25000 @ 20ltc/1000FC. I've PM'd member SNS (since he had a bid in at my price). Will update either way.
1083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin: 1x to 16x PCI-E extenders, CPU question on: April 26, 2013, 02:27:52 AM
no noticeable performance decrease unless your rig is underpowered. no need to worry about the cpu, cheapest is fine, youll be using the gpu.

No youre correct, however you stated above "I cannot mine, neither on pool, nor solo, on port 8332.", and hence my suggestion. please post your config when you can, i'm confident we can get your issues solved.
1085  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Question about the output screen -- CGMiner on: April 25, 2013, 04:08:00 PM
a share is a share. even if the share solves a block, it's valued the same. most pools are pps or pplns, so if you find one that pays on the weight of the share's value, please let all of us know Wink . The only real 'weighing' done by pools on shares is in regards to age, and not size (i.e. slush's pool places less weight on older shares vs newer shares to combat pool hopping).
1086  Economy / Auctions / Re: 5 BTC for PP [Starts @ $10/ea] on: April 25, 2013, 03:50:55 PM

John , can I close paypal dispute NOW ?
Yes, as the 0.958 BTC are in the escrow address.
Are you going to release the dispute now? John K. is one of the most trusted people here. The money is in escrow, and yet you are still taking your time releasing the dispute. BTC4amazon should start charging you a hassle fee. His PP account now has a negative mark (will remain in account notes even if you do release the dispute). You're pussyfooting around with a man's livelihood over some bitcents. Ridiculous.

*starts charging interest for stored bitcoins*  Tongue
Just sent you a bit tip. You do good work in helping facilitate escrow transactions, and the community as a whole appreciates it.

1090  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Question about the output screen -- CGMiner on: April 25, 2013, 02:57:12 PM
It's set by the pool owner. Eventually hashing speeds will be so fast that the servers won't be able to keep up with a 1 diff, and thus it will need to be increased.

Open port 8332 in xp firewall.

As for the cpu problem. which miner? can you post your config here?
1092  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: McAfee vs bitcoin mining on: April 25, 2013, 02:52:07 PM
The real answer is to get rid of mcafee. It is one of the most intrusive, and least effective, antiviruses available on the market.
1093  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMiner splits hashing load between two cards, does not accept -d argument on: April 25, 2013, 02:43:31 PM
Increase the intensity. Nothing will operate at 100% potential with dynamic. Increase to 13, report back.

Nothing beats the sapphire 4Ls. Amazing cards.

Neg ratings due to haters? Wow. I cannot believe this dude turned out like this. I had done business with him a few times, and am pretty much disgusted by his actions. Changed my ratings for him on OTC. This is shameful and pathetic.

1098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: > SmallChange 'new' Litecoin based [15 seconds blocks] [scrypt] [research coin on: April 21, 2013, 07:40:53 PM
Let's not forget that no exchange is going to want to host a currency with 15s blocks, and the resources that requires. You would need the friggin obama hope campaign of advertising to generate enough buzz to sway an exchange to offer a coin with 15s block solves.
GG/BTC and TBX/BTC pairs existed at BTC-E for some time.
Sorry, i should have specified 'successful currencies'.
1099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CT Path Finder - Optimize your cryptocurrency trading on: April 21, 2013, 07:33:25 PM
Fantastic work. Next step to this (and the real money maker) is to turn this into an autoexchanger.

Please provide an address for tips/supporting the project.
1100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WTB] LTC for Paypal - paying 5% above btc-e rate on: April 21, 2013, 06:16:42 PM
Again, PP will initiate chargebacks if the money is suspected of being used to facilitate the purchase of other digital currencies. They will do this on their own, and are judge, jury, and executioner. It happens every day. With paypal, the risk is always 100% on the seller, even for years afterwards.

Bottomline - if you are paranoid like ^^^ this person, not need to transact. This post is for others. Thanks.
Paranoid? It happens everyday. These are facts.

I highly suggest you not make this personal.
