1321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ADVICE]Boy Wins $46k from Sports Bet but Can't Tell Strict Religious Parents... on: July 29, 2023, 07:04:15 PM
If he's on a legal age, then he better open a bank and keep it there. If he knows his parents well, then they're more likely won't accept such money given that they're religious. And it would be a wasted money if he will not be able to make use of it. There's nothing wrong with hiding something from his parents as long as it is a positive thing. He earned or won money, that's it. Pushing it to be accepted by his parents won't do anything. Chances are high that his parents wouldn't want that money.
We can justify whatever wrong is done. Him winning a big amount is like the will of God. LOL

Anything as long as we benefit and so will this young man, he will defend his $46k. Maybe the young man is just not as religious as his parents.
As for me, there is nothing wrong with sports betting, all in the family sometimes watch together a basketball game and bet on each other. Anything that makes the family bond is good in the eyes of God. The young man just goes beyond the family.
Will of God? I doubt. That's luck. Betting is okay as long as you're the one making effort to have an amount to bet. If he's still dependent with his parents then it won't be a good idea. What if he did not win? Would it be the same reaction? Also,  qould he be spending most of it bwcause of greed, in gambling? It'll depend on the boy's way of managing that money.
1322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top 5 Things to Consider When Choosing an Online Casino on: July 29, 2023, 06:38:37 PM
We do all have our own preferences when choosing a gambling site. Some would say a licensed one, others would go for platforms offering huge bonuses and rewards, some are not into ones with KYC, and/or the games being offered. But what would make me stay in a gambling platform is the service I am getting. Any gambling site could give the same offer to their players but not all platforms could give their players a good service quality perhaps with overall maintenance of the site or how fast transactions are being done both with deposit and withdrawal of funds. You could move from one another but for sire only a few would make you stay for awhile.
1323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you find new meme coins early? on: July 28, 2023, 06:04:33 PM
I'm a certified meme coin hunter, and my radar is always on the lookout for those hidden gems that might become the next Pepe. Speaking of which, I remember stumbling upon Pepe on Twitter when the buzz and sentiment were off the charts, and I just couldn't resist aping in, and it paid off!

Twitter is just one of the treasure troves, but there are plenty of other ways to spot those potential success stories. So, my fellow crypto meme seekers, I want to hear your strategies. How do you go about discovering those up-and-coming meme coins before they skyrocket? Care to share your secret sauce?
Certified? Who certifies? Also not to offend you but I do view memecoins as good tokens only at its start 'coz most of its market prices are falling eventually. Also, not all meme tokens are having good outcome in this industry simply because of its laack of utility which we all know, is needed to sustain its market value. But yes, if you could determine which one qoyld be best to buy early and has the potential to be bigger after its release in the market, then that would be a huge advantage. However, problem is determining one. Everythings dependent with hype and demand for meme tokens and that means even if a certain one has a good team behind, if majority of investors does not think it would be the best one, then demand would still be low.
1324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'll always tell people about bitcoin on: July 28, 2023, 05:45:33 PM
It's not a bad idea to tell people about BTC. The point is to tell those interested in learning not those who want to investigate ones pocket because they spend more without being at the mercy of the banks or financial monitoring agencies.
I have known alot of friends who never want to hear the subject of BTC because of the investment they lost as at the time it originated and gained users.

I only tell people who I know needs the knowledge to assist their businesses or education or any other pursuit that would require an application or use of BTC technology or currency. These days telling anyone what they aren't interested in can even get you hated more than loved.
Also it depends on how they would take it. No doubt that most of the people having interest with this blockchain is because of the profit potential not knowing how things really works in this industry. Knowing what Bitcoin is won't be enough. Also with its usage which is still currently limited across countries since majority are still in doubt of its adoption. Indeed sharing about this technology is a good thing but it will always have two sides. Engaging won't be all turn out to a good outcome 'coz bad instances may do still happen such as people investing and losing due to market price volatility and eventually accusing this technology as scam and such. So I agree that we better choose qisely, to whoever we should share the information about this industry.
1325  Economy / Economics / Re: Bad impact when You carry out Online or Offline Loans on an ongoing basis on: July 28, 2023, 05:16:43 PM
maybe many people are taking loans online or offline for various urgent reasons, but keep in mind that the habit of making loans will only get you entangled with what is called eternal debt and the possibility of getting addicted to making loans online or offline

I live in a city where the rate of people making loans is quite high until yesterday I heard of a neighbor who was fighting with a debt collector because he was unable to pay but the debt collector belittled the borrower who was unable to pay

- 23-yr old techie dies by suicide due to alleged harassment by online loan recovery agents

There have been many articles written about the bad effects of making online or offline loans what happened in my country that have high interest;
- In Indonesia, ‘pay later’ services leave some drowning in debt
- Under presidential order, Indonesia is at war with online loan sharks

in several articles, there are other options that can be done to avoid what are called online or offline loans that have high interest,
- 8 Ways to Help Family Members in Financial Trouble
- How To Get Out of Debt

you can try to do that from now on before it's too late

If you go by what one of the richest men in the world and arguably the best investor in history says, you should avoid taking loans/credit for anything except a low rate long term mortgage - where the value of the asset can actually outweigh the loan over the long term. Besides that, far too many people borrow money when they would be much more responsible if they saved up before buying the thing they want, which will probably depreciate at a much higher rate.
Taking a loan would only be advisable on times or emergency or if you have concrete plan on how would you spend it. First one is given but the second one should be something that will generate profit to hekp you atleast , pay that loan. According to some of my friends who've been into different field of investments, if you have plans then take a loan and create or invest into a profitable investment then let that thing pay your loan for you.  The idea is there but unfortunately not all businesses are working smoothly even with investments ofcourse. Depends on how profitable the investment is but the minimum should be generating an amount that would help  or something which has atleast low risk of losing.
1326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just Another Good Source Of Motivation For You ... on: July 28, 2023, 04:47:44 PM
If you are still trying to find a good reason to buy some bitcoin, Well, over the night, I was watching some crypto related videos on YouTube, and while going through the comment section, I found this comment which really made a lot of sense to me, and I thought to share it here..

The dude, who ever he is said, "if he can spend a $100 to $200 dollars daily on food and drink, and wake up the next day to piss and shit it out without bothering whether there be profit or not, then not a bad idea to spend some of that money buying an asset that has the potentials of earning you some profit, no matter how small".

Sure nothing special about this statement, but I just find the analogy interesting, maybe its because this is something we do everyday and have come to terms with it as the basics of life and existence, many of us tend to easily without looking back, spend good amount of money on things that add very little to no profit or value on our financial lives, like eating out in an expensive hotel or restaurant, but when it comes to spending on that one thing that has the potential to add some positive figures into our finances, we begin to do a lot of calculating and analyzing  Grin, is this not us indirectly cheating ourselves?
It is indeed a great idea to share especially with non-crypto investors. But if we would dig down the idea, what's pushing people away from investing to this technokogy? One reason is impression. There is an impression that investment amount should be huge in order to generate bigger profit but in reality, there's no minimum or maximum amount to invest, only an amount you can afford losing. Ofcourse  we would envy those who have the privilege to invest and earn big but what can we do about it? Just go with something inside yoyr capacity and you're good to go. No matter how big or small it is, the fact that you have tried is alrwady something big. If you have invested a small amount right now  what more eventually right? First step is the biggest.
1327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experience using loan money on: July 28, 2023, 04:18:10 PM
I knew that there's many topic like this in the past that asking advice about loaning for gambling. The intention of this thread is determined what's the actual feeling when you are using a loan money on gambling knowing that there's an interest rate on your borrowed money which means you already lose part of your money before you start gambling.

I saw many high rank users here that asking for loan and directly deposit the loan amount on gambling account. I want to know what's the experience on using loan money. Is there additional pressure on gameplay or just the same using regular money without an interest rate.
It is obvious. Ofcourse you'd be more pressured gambling an amount you borrowed compared to an amount from your pocket. Reason is simple, you win you return the money; you lose, you will still have to pay it. It is like a double risk and will never be advisable. Indeed there re still players who does such thing but never copy this behavior. Also if you see yourself in such action, then you should worry. A point that you are ready to risk everything in gambling is already a sign of addiction 'coz you're no longer worried or aware of the consequences.
I have not seen and heard anyone asking or used loan for gambling but I have seen and heard in this forum that someone asked if he can used loan for investment and not gambling. Op I ask you to bring the high rank user who used loan for gambling. Using loan to gamble is 50/50 and if you loss then you have entered debt and if you win, you will be release from the high tension of your mind. Using loan to play gambling is and will never be a good idea. But among the gamblers and the most addicted ones borrow money from another gambler to pay interest in the casino hall to play gambling. Even those ones are small amount.
I also doubt especially for higher rank foeum users. They're more experienced basically so for sure they know how to manage the risk in both worlds of investment and gambling. But I honestly not saw one, also will not do it for sure. Limiting oneself should be a mandatory in gambling industry in order to avoid making things worse.
1328  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Searching for articles or talks of long-term (10+ years) Bitcoin hodlers on: July 27, 2023, 06:53:33 PM
I would like to read or listen to long-term Bitcoin hodlers. Can I ask you to recommend them and their content, please?
Would be hrd to get in touch with those who have held for that long. Also, what's the point of doing so? If they tell you to buy at this point would you do it? Ofcourse they's be positive towards this industry in general simply because they are having huge profit already. But this is not to limit you at the present. You may invest at this point and earn profit in the future. However if you desire having the same profit as them, then that would be impossible unless you are okay with putting huge amount in this blockchain to be held for years as well. You may read articles of people who are having Bitcoin holdings, surfacing the web.

Bottomline here is what would you do after seeing some? Would it be enough to convince you to do it as well even if no one has the assurance that its market price will continue increasing for the next decade?
1329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: benefits of having mature accounts at 3 casinos (personal experience) on: July 27, 2023, 06:07:42 PM
So there is no need to have such multiple casino accounts, so that brings us to the question of why having multiple VIPs when one is ok to take care of all your gambling needs and whatever benefits in rewards that you expect to get from your activities on the account. ? @@@

The fact is that a single user is playing in various different casinos, I doubt a gambler play in 1 casino only their entire gambling journey.
What is the reason? Obviously it has nothing to do with chasing VIP accounts or to get the VIP benefits in various different casinos.
VIP account is just a side benefit of being active player so do not think that why those who own multiple VIP accounts are merely chasing it, but they are playing normally in every casino and they received the benefits for being active players.

Some are moving because of bonuses and rewards especially with new gambling platforms introducing their site to players. Another reason is 'tilting' if you are familiar with the term used for somehow calibrating one's luck if he is losing consistently. Last that I know is satisfaction with the service. There will be times inconvenience would happen with payouts and deposits as well with betting. Ofcourse it would be a gambler's demand to play without any disturbances caused by bugs and lags and the likes. Having a matured account is indeed something but if you don't get any benefit or advantage from being or having one, then not everyone would seek for such title.
1330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deposit limits on: July 27, 2023, 05:44:18 PM
This is how it is on gambling sites:

Quote
Many of our customers use Deposit Limits to manage their spending. Limits can be set for a 24 hour, 7 day or 30 day period and cannot be overridden

You can decrease your Deposit Limits at any time and this will be applied immediately.

Before increasing your Deposit Limits carefully consider if you can afford to do so. Never decide to increase your limit because you have lost money and think that you will win it back by gambling more. If you wish to increase a limit you will need to wait 24 hours before we action your request and then return to our site to confirm that you still want to increase it.

I quoted it from a gambling site.

This is just an evidence that their is nothing called deposit limit. Assuming you set it to 7 or 30 days and you set it to $100. Once you bet and lose the $100, you can wait for 24 hours to increase it above $100.

Without discipline yourself, you will increase the limit and gamble more. I have been into gambling for many years, this is one of the problem I have faced before.

But for people that gamble daily, setting a daily limit can be helpful. It is the only one that is useful.
Thing won't work; you could just create another account if you are really down for it. Indeed what we need as gamblers is discipline. We should set for limits to ourselves. The phrase "bet only what you cannot afford to lose" will be always brought up. No one wants to lose ofcourse but bottomline here is an amount you can replace if by any chance you would be needing it. Going all out in gambling won't put you anywhere better.
^

I don't quite agree with you. Limiting deposits is indeed useful, but only when it is not done through the casino and you have learned how to control yourself while gambling. Without this skill, using casino deposit limiting services you can easily go to another casino and lose all the money on your credit card. You need to learn how to set limits for a gaming session deposit and honor them. I myself use this strategy and I will tell you honestly that after I learned to do this I started losing much less money.
Well, this is not to not appreciate deposit limits set by gambling platforms. But such limits won't mean nothing if the gambler him/herself is the problem. There are many ways to play as long as gambling platforms are accessible in your country. If one is addicted already he'd move to another platform just to satisfy that urge to play.
1331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be play with care on: July 27, 2023, 04:54:04 PM
Anything that has risk should be taken with more care. Here in gambling industry, nothing is certain as we all know. Go all out and be prepared to have nothing at the end of the day. Be greedy and you'd lose everthing. Always expect the bad outcome 'coz you'd be losing more often. Yes, risk could be minimized a bit but it will always be there. Limiting oneself from loses is simply what winning is all about. No matter how huge your profit is, it would be gone in a minute or two if satisfaction won't meet you . It is not how much you have earned this day but rather how much have you lost eversince you gambled.
We do always get a lot of that reminders but we have no idea if many of the readers do follow that are experiencing severe gambling. And a gambler will always be aware of how much he starts to gamble but when the feeling is intense, he'll never know how much he's been losing because his mind is also losing because of the emotional trigger that gambling gives to anyone. So you get the idea of those gamblers that are reminded but then, still forgets to follow these tips.
That's no longer part of our problem I guess. There's no need to force them to be responsible. That's their money and they have full responsibility of it. It is just tiring to see them cry and regret things once they reach the bottom, then blaming other people why such thing happened. Sometimes a lesson learned would be a bit expensive.
1332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Irresponsible behavior at the Las Vegas Casino on: July 27, 2023, 04:14:36 PM
A man run naked in a Las Vegas casino (Linq Casino) and jumped on the poker table and started to dance. He was arrested instantly by the security, however his family says that he was drunk and therefore he did such type of act.

More details can be read here Naked Gyrating Guy Arrested at Harrah’s Las Vegas Was Drugged, Family Claims

The point here is why gamblers do such shameless acts and what the rules of the casino suggest the penality for these acts. Do you think the gambler did it purposefully perhaps to become popular in the headlines  Huh
My take on this is, why would he allow himself to be 'that' drunk? Also, being drunk will never be a valid reason. You should first know your limit whether to still take another shot or go home already than to cause disturbance towards other people. We ain't kids no more. Also with casinos, indeed vices are allowed in some places but atleast if it is alcohol, management should be expecting some fools to be in such instance; He wouldn't be finished undressing for only a minute given that he's drunk. This should have not got into worse by allowing him to atleast be on the table to humiliate himself. Not totally blaming the casino but safeguard players who are serious on what they are doing, from some irresponsible individuals.
1333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto EGG Meme Run to $1 on: July 26, 2023, 06:58:47 PM
No assurance and would only be possible if investors would all think the same way. Indeed what we saw with PEPE is promising but it won't happen with guarantee. Keep in mind that it is memetoken we are talking about and there's no utility of it; meaning, demand will only be created by shared interest and if that thing is missing, huge investors' manipulation is the only way possible for its market value to blow up jist like last time. I personally never heard of this token before which for me is doubting. But if you could afford losing an amount to somehow 'bet' on it then you are free to do so. Who knows? Maybe it become a huge thing as well on its release. Better lose trying than to do not try at all if it really caught your interest.
1334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't expect everyone to embrace Bitcoin on: July 26, 2023, 06:29:11 PM
The earlier we understand that bitcoin is not for everyone, the better because it saves us the time and energy that we would have used to convince those who are uninterested, to move on to those who are interested and it can also drive adoption faster. I've read some threads here of some people trying to convince their family members on the positives of Bitcoin and get enraged if the said members don't share the same opinion as them but I feel everyone is entitled to his opinion and while some regard Bitcoin with outright disgust like Charlie Munger, there are some who care less of it's existence.

Bitcoiners have the opportunity to stand for something and that's eliminating the need for central authorities such as the government and banks and rather than forcing everyone to confirm to their beliefs, it's better to find an audience worth serving. What's your take, guys?

Let's really expect that most people will not embrace or recognize Bitcoin. Just like me, my family or relatives don't believe in what I'm doing, even though they see that I'm surviving because of what I'm doing.

So I don't talk to them about Bitcoin because I know their response. they just let me do what I do. So this Bitcoin is really a big thing for me, it is God's instrument to provide me with my expenses and pay my billings which if I total and I spend around 400-600$ a month, depending on the market of Bitcoin or cryptocurrency.
It's good for you to earn or benefit from Bitcoin. We just cannot change how other people see something differently in comparison with how we view it. This has something to do with how well you know aboyt something. Since we know its potential then ofcourse would be biased of it but others may not. In most instances those who do not engage in this technology are those who knows only a few about this industry. And some of them are aware of the advantage but are still not convinced to invest because they cannot embrace the risk. Eitherway, we don't have to force them towards Bitcoin adoption. We should rather wait for such thing to occur for them to be fully ready of this technology's difference over fiat.
1335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Other Things You Can Bet on Aside Sports and Casino Games on: July 26, 2023, 05:37:31 PM
Anything could be gambled about. Difference is the volume and interest to a certain topic. Ever wondered why not all games are having tournaments? Or not all sports are being displayed with sportsbetting platforms? 'coz it does not have enough fanbase or community to support the interest. With reggards to odd topics such as Celebrity's death, it would be possible IF you will have someone or group of people who you could /have be in contrast with. It will all start with two or more different stands in a single topic and the will to put money or anything in exchange for the consequence of having the wrong standpoint or guess. Therefore, anything is simply possible to be a betting topic.
1336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: July 26, 2023, 05:20:34 PM
Inoue has the upperhand in this. To some it would be a disadvantage 'coz he won't be able to rest for long but on the other end, he's on fire from his recent TKO Victory. As we all know, Tapeles has quite having a not so perfect stats for his career unlike with Inoue having 25 wins without any loss, and 22 by way of KO, which is obviously impressive. Stats indeed won't guarantee the winner but it is for sure a factor; it won't be in such numbers for nothing. There's still hope for Tapales for this match if he qould be more agressive 'coz if not, he would be pounded more likely by Inoue before he does. However if the wind would change on majority's expectation, then this would be a huge break for Tapales.
1337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Abuse ... on: July 26, 2023, 04:19:04 PM
Gambling abuse is simply gambling addiction. Everyone indeed is allowed to play and gamble. Some are financially benefiting from it and some are being entertained from doing so. Gambling for a long period of time within a day does not guarantee abad outcome. What does, is simply instances wherein emotion becomes an innate drive to go for more despite of the situation or circumstances; huge loss. Time after time, either a winning or losing bet, you'd be wanting for more in order to get back with the losses. And once you hit a huge win and have already got back with that amount, you'd be desiring for profit afterwards. Then the unfortunate will again happen, and that would be a cycle. Key player here is our emotion and our discipline with ourselves. Is gambling a dangerous activity? No, it is our intention which is.
1338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Bitcoins to never gamble again. Will you take it? on: July 25, 2023, 04:37:47 PM
I'd take it simply because it is an assured amount. I do enjoy playing or gambling but if I qould go back to why I have started in this industry, such thing would answer my purpose which is to earn money. Also, I have no plans to depend on my fortune alone. Would I be holding only to that amount of BTC? For sure I would diverse it to other investments inside and outside this industry. Putting it into a single bucket would  be profitble still but why would I be contented with it if there's another way to do so?Bitcoin's market value won't increase in an instant, with consistency.

With regards to gambling, it won't allways be fulfillimg especially if you often lose in your game. I'd be okay with quitting gambling if there would be a good exchange or better exchange of what I am doing.
1339  Economy / Gambling / Re: bankroll 1000 € on: July 25, 2023, 04:07:10 PM
Hello i want a bankroll of 1000 € who wants to back me ?

i have good account with good bonusses (chests)   you can get my winnings 50-50

First of all, it would be hard to find a financer especially in gambling. Also qith a 50-50 stats? That is not a good winrate 'coz we all have the same chance of winning. There is always a 50%chance to lose and ofcourse 50% chance to win and this can only be changed by your strategy and analysis of the game itself. Obviously, such winrate won't attract anybody to back you up, do better to earn it best.
If you're not going to try to listen to advice, then I don't care what you have to say on this forum.

that's really mature of you   so if i have my own view of the situation then you don't want to deal with me anymore ?  No i need to listen to the almighty yahoo

I live my life sir and you live yours  how about that ?  I shouldn't be teached on how to live my life by someone i don't even know from the internet
Why did you ask for help in the first place if you don't want any comment about it? It is a bit funny. We do get your point; you are seeking for a financial support from others for you to have a fund and for you to continue gambling. Commebts in this topic might not directly help you with your particular concern but atleast it could give you a perspective such as showing proofs to attract more people that you deserve to have what you are wantinv on this topic. They are not dictating you to behave in such way but rather giving you an alternative to achieve yoyr goal in this topic.
1340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed can cause a lost bet, (true or false) on: July 25, 2023, 03:39:59 PM
In short greed may yield you to a huge loss. One of the common instances is winning big time and still deciding to continue playing because of expectation to again win the game. Having a better vision of any scenario is indeed a good thing to have but not with gambling. Think of it as something that you won't get on a daily basis. Once you experienced winning huge amount, it is not necessarily to quit already especially if you are enjoying it but atleast try taking a pause of it 'coz emotions would be playing afterwards for sure and that is a huge no in gambling.
Greed has led so many gamblers to great loss and the problem is that gamblers will never change from their greedy habit because they want to hit it big. I am not exempted from this, since sometimes I prefer betting on longer slip than short ones. The fact is that as gamblers,we always have that hope and belief that we will win the game and that is where greed blind folds us on. If a gambler forgets about winning a game,he will stay more focused on betting wisely and will also put lost into consideration. This will enable him gamble for fun and he might end up winning.
Greed is possessed by almost everyone and only a few gamblers can control themselves not to have a greedy attitude.
So far, there have been lots of adverse events that gamblers have experienced because they always want to get bigger things and of course this is a disaster for anyone.
The average gambler who often has greed is those who want wealth from the results of gambling, that's why every win is unacceptable and instead wants to have bigger wins.
The idea of getting back with previous losses would more likely to take place as well which is one's way to hide greed., aside from just earning more. Then it would be a domino effect. First attempt would be okay but the second one will give a gaslight that you still have more of your winnings, then it would continue. In gambling it will always be advised to be preventive of negative outcomes no matter how huge your advantage is.
