A mini Ginter X sold for $650.  Must have sold in seconds.  Didn't even notice it before.

If you look closely at the photo it appears off center.   Look at the left and right borders.

To me there's a difference between artwork and a collectible. Some pieces that we've seen over the years have been pure works of art, and some have been only for the ones brave enough to buy it.

My personal favorite of collectibles have been the Genesis coins that wheelz1200 made, awesome coins, great idea on distribution as well as the different collaborations between other members to display a full set properly. 10/10 for me!

Bitcoinpenny comes in at an extremely close 2nd place. Same thing there, collectible, affordable, great packaging and the added touch of a handmade doodle with each purchase brings it home for me, again 10/10.

I am with you on the Bitcoinpenny, beautiful and affordable.  I passed out silver ones to the dolphriends and they loved them.

Favorite collectible is the #83 red mini #/5 by Topps

There is no doubt that the hottest card from the 2018 A&G release was the #83 cryptocurrency.  Without a doubt this forum put this card into the fastest rising star category for a non sportscard.  Great job collectors Smiley

Hmm. A 2017 Ginter x box can be had for 120, so 2018 is a unicorn year.

Still. that is a good return 50 bucks per box-600 per case.  You can buy a ton of cards with those profits.

This was an exceptional year for A&G and I'm sure they know it.   Smiley

I know collectors that never crack open boxes, if they want a specific card they buy the card and whatever the cost is they feel it is less than opening boxes.  Right now if a ginter x red mini comes up for sale at say 5,000 it is an absolute steal and would be sold the same day.  Doesn't need to be graded because there are only a few that exist.  I won't even guess how high a PSA 10 would go for.  I try never to look at past values but, rather where values are headed and do I like the card.  This works for me and I have fun with it.  Have fun out there fellow card collectors Cool

We will have to wait and see when a red mini 1/5 or silver 1/1 comes up for sale Smiley Smiley

My theory holds for ginter x mini 1/100 ( recent sales in 600 range) and no numbers  150 (recent sales in 1200 range). I see no reason why a Brooklyn 1/25 would not go for 2400.

We will need to wait awhile to see if the theory holds true all the way through the 1/1 but, I believe the mini red #/5 will near the 15,000 range in the not to distant future.  In the non sportscard collection community spending 100's of thousands on rare cards goes on all the time.  Example the black lotus that I posted.  I for one will not be shocked to see a PSA 10 red mini go for 100,000.  Time will tell, but think I'm fairly close Cool

Man, i love Dolphriends optimism and insight.  Makes all this so fun. Thanks

Thanks Mrstacy, if it ever becomes work and not fun it's time to hang it up. Smiley

One interesting and exciting thing with trading these baseball cards is that on two occasions, the relative of one of the players bought one of my cards.  Ok, i'm not 100 percent sure, but they had unique  last names (Buehler and Banda).  It's still fun and you can make walking around money doing so.

That is pretty cool Cool

I think I need to get busy and send my cards in to PSA for grading: can't get top dollar on eBay without that good PSA grade.

I feel very fortunate that I have a friend that helps me in pre grading my cards before I send one in since I am looking for 10's, saves me time and funds.  Good luck I hope you get a bunch of 10's.  Roll Eyes

The mini ginter x cards just keep breaking through new levels.  Congratulations to the buyers of these.  Just extrapolating the price to the more rare cards... If a 1/100 goes for 650, then a 1/50 is 1300.  a 1/25 is 2600, a 1/5 is 13000, a 1/1 is 65000

I certainly agree with you, however the regular blank back I still put that alone on the top of the hill.  Also, need to keep in mind what a PSA 10 does for the value, can give it a 15x premium depending on population and difficulty in getting a 10 for that specific card.

It would be great to see some crypto cards in the green and red precious metals and yes some atomic refractors also.

I just love that card, it caught my attention right from the get go because of the brilliant colors. And to have a GLOWIE in that variety...WOW!!!
Such a nice snag.  Wink I managed to get the 3-in-one Cyclone Bomb card, and because of the brightness of the card, I decided to get  RED mini of the players posted on that same cards to go with the single 3-in-one card. I like bright beautiful colors...and that red is fetching.   Smiley
Nice job Chris  Cheesy

I too really enjoy the bright colors Cool

Cheesy Well it's official, I just saw the email from PSA that I've been waiting for (took forever to PoP)....my Cryptocurrency Brooklyn Back just got a  Big Fat 10 Grade!!!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I wish everyone good fortune with the PSA grading process  Cheesy

So very thrilled right now.

Pop the bubbly. that is great news for sure.  Haven't seen any around for a month or so.  With only 25, i guess it is no surprise.

I have two bottles of the finest champagne, are both those PSA 10 brooklyn's yours?  That would be incredible.

Two different owners.  Two smiley faces

That's fantastic, two happy smiling faces, congratz to both.
