If I am creating an open-source wallet, these are very valid questions to be answered.

I am a software engineer with 18 years of experience. I started as a system administrator and taught myself how to code. I am an expert in Python, React, and JavaScript. I strongly believe in open-source software and benefited a lot both personally and professionally. I even had some small contributions to OpenStack, but it was not big enough to be mentioned anywhere.

I could not make many contributions to the open-source community. Now I plan to change my stand on this matter and start contributing.

Currently, I have a day job as a developer in a successful startup.

I am not sure if the above experience is good enough for the community to trust me but they are good enough for me to start such a project.

You are qualified if you think you are qualified it's always good to see a big project coming up knowing who are the people behind it and whether are they capable, there's nothing in your post histriy that I can tell that you are good at what you do or you are just some of those newbies who tried to earn people's trust here but they are not capable of doing what they plan or promised to create.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing that

I was sipping my coffee when I saw this and I almost spit my coffee  Cheesy

So you have 300 threads and posts and one of your posts turns out to be spam so you're going to lose all your earnings, That's too harsh they are too demanding on their users but their pay rate is not acceptable to any forum poster,
It will invite spam even if they have active posters because there are few categories, they should add more categories and interest, and they should create sub-forums also.
And most importantly increase the pay rate, you want quality post then give a quality pay rate.

I am planning to make the wallet code open-source.

I appreciate all of your comments on the matter. I am reading them all and taking notes.  Smiley

1344  Economy / Services / Re: Cheapest Way to mix the coins on: September 01, 2023, 09:48:48 AM
This isn't a cheap solution as the minimum fee to mix is 0.7%.
Sorry, I am looking for a cheaper solution.
^ If a 0.7% fee is not the amount that you desire then try your luck at a gambling casino that has a built-in exchange inside that you can swap your BTC into altcoins, deposit your funds and meet the wager requirements for withdrawal, and swap into altcoins. It is not probably advisable but it surely works as long as you read the TOS. Otherwise, as they said above, instant exchange has a huge fee.

I don't recommend casinos as a means to mix the coins If OP is not a gambler he will end up losing the coin that he wants to mix, it is not recommended and will not work, Casinos are centralized they have all the records so it is still traceable, there is no other way but to use a mixer, Sinbad has the lowest fee and they have a good reputation in the community

Sinbad has a low fee, from a minimum of 0.5% up to 2.5%. You decide for yourself what percentage you will leave.

You have to prefer reputation over price.

Hey everyone,

999LUCKYDICE.COM - A New Embodiment of Fair Gaming for 999dice Players!

We proudly introduce to you 999LUCKYDICE, the evolution of our previous website, 999dice. This new portal offers a unique experience in the world of online gambling, combining innovative games and unparalleled fairness.

The site is only a week old based on their Whois https://www.whois.com/whois/999luckydice.com

Domain:999luckydice.com
Registrar:Gransy, s.r.o.

But they already claimed they have 682 471/PLAYERS this is unrealistic, if they are including the stat of their old site then they should state it but I cannot find any information that their stats is from their old site there's no mention of the old site in their homepage.

They are deceiving the gambling community and its not good showing a false information just to promote the platform

1347  Other / Meta / Re: Non clickable link in original post but clickable when quoted on: August 31, 2023, 10:41:20 PM
Edit 2: After writing edit 1, the second link (with two empty spaces) turned into non-clickable. So, the text that follows affects the links somehow, but not all of them.
It's not the added text that makes the link unclickable. It's the edit that makes the link unclickable.

Make a post containing a link with two spaces before that. After that, click on "edit" button and save the post without making any edit. You will see that the link becomes unclickable.
The same thing happens when the number of spaces before a link is a multiple of 2.

7 spaces before the link:
       https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0

8 spaces before the link:
        https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0

Yes, you are right I created a test post and this is what it shows https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5465237.msg62776645#msg62776645 All the links are not clickable so trying to edit without doing anything will render it not clickable, even when you quote and you just hit save it will render the link not clickable.

In my second quote I only use one space and all the links become clickable

1350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Constant wins in the casino for several days, then constant losses. Noticed?! on: August 31, 2023, 12:13:25 PM
Playing for many years, I observe a certain series of wins and losses. It looks like it every time! Also in casino chats, a lot of people talk about it.
Only a few gamblers can and have analyzed their games over a long period of time they are playing and come out with this, but it is hard to verify your experience as the same as all the other gamblers, honestly, I have no data like yours and have not remembered that I have this experience for the longest time I'm playing.

Quote
How do you win and lose?
The hardest is the game of chance because there is no guarantee of winning or losing you have to rely on luck, There's no method I can think of methods or strategies that guarantee to win, it's still a game of chance you just hope that it's your lucky day and what you hope for will happen.
1351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the size and frequency of online casino winnings depend on the time of year? on: August 30, 2023, 10:41:22 PM
Do you think that there is a dependence of online casino winnings on the time of year? For example, for 9 years of playing, I received almost all the biggest winnings from November to May. In other periods, the game develops much worse  Undecided.

What time of the year do you win more often?

I don't think the casinos will set it that way, they are going to lose a lot of money if they manipulate it to be seasonal this is based on your experienced I don't think this will be the case for the majority of players here, and I don't think the casinos will manipulate you can check your bets to verify it.

But your stat is very interesting. You did not mention the name of the casino where you have this stat so members who also play on that casino can compare their stats to you, so you can verify if your assumption is right, You have a similar post like this as if you're trying to imply something Constant wins in the casino for several days, then constant losses. Noticed?!
1352  Other / Archival / Re: Selling Crypto Casino Source code for $700! Or offer on: August 30, 2023, 01:19:10 PM

Yes, that's what I was saying, we don't have any idea however, you will have to question why the price is cheap. Not sure about Wallet Connect, but I'm thinking if he can customized it to accept not just altcoins but also bitcoin because that's what majority of casinos are offering.

And maybe when a potential buyer ask for a customized script, then maybe that's where they will be caught by OP as he can charge thousands of dollars for customization and who knows, perhaps support as well.

It's suspicious selling a source code that cheap, he'll have to prove that he owns the source code not posting a demo is questionable alone if you're a script developer you are proud to show a demo and the accompanying documentation, there was a guy selling a source code of one casino but in fact, he is just a reseller or a buyer who just decoded the script.

It's hard to justify selling cheap casino software because you did not get your payout from a source you did not mention.
1353  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet - account closure request not satisfacted on: August 30, 2023, 12:33:54 PM

I don't blame the online casino, I blame you for blaming the casino because they reopened your account, something you made them do, now you are using their ToS against them, you aren't getting out of your addiction, maybe never, because your habit show that you are the problem.

That's the mindset of compulsive gamblers, they blame everything and everybody I ask OP to forget this and just move on and find ways to cure your addiction.

The cycle will just continue, you asking for exclusion, then asking to reopen and play again, there's still hope you admit that you have this disease, and there is no better way to end this cycle than talking with a professional, there is still life besides gambling, so get a new lease in life by finding a way to cure your addiction.
1354  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitskins upgraded their platform and I lost over 22000 affiliates on: August 30, 2023, 08:54:12 AM

I got over 22.000 affiliates because I was owner of a popular csgo "twin" site in the beginning of it (back if 2015) and it was promoted through my site/referral.

I contacted them in discord aswell, I still got nothing. I tried to get a compensation or an explanations about why was it discontinued, and I was denied again.

It's already futile debating or presenting your opinion because it is already stated by

General Terms:
a) The Affiliate Program is subject to these Terms and Conditions and any additional terms provided by the BitSkins.
b) BitSkins reserves the right to modify or terminate the Affiliate Program at any time, with or without notice.

If they grant you compensation or rewards then those affiliates who have more referrals than yours, like what they stated, will also file compensation or rewards, but it is what it is when it comes to affiliates. They control the terms just be thankful that it gave you $30k already.

Since you have your website and you are good at recruiting you can accumulate more referrals the key to affiliate marketing is diversification so the money keeps coming in.

Donating Bitcoin towards the development of our course is not just an investment in your own education but also a way to contribute to a shared endeavor. Every Satoshi you contribute will go towards improving the quality of our education and help us share knowledge with a larger audience.
You can only ask for donations if you're giving it for free, Your course is very affordable why not concentrate on promoting and reaching out If you really want to help other people, you can ask those who take the course to spread the word or ask people to sponsor other people by selling discounts, or promoting the gift this course feature of Udemy.

Education course link in russian language: https://www.udemy.com/course/akmcrypto

Based on the information on Udemy it is only available in the Russian language, Is it really is, then it's no use offering it here for those who want to take this course but do not know Russia, you'll have to promote it first in the Russian board and once you come out with an English version then you can post it in the service section.

Players win games, coaches loses them

And yet look you can't even configure your site
Code:
http://en.brand-up.top/
to make it secure you can get a free SSL on https://letsencrypt.org/

This is what shows on my browser

My browser says that this site is offline, with or without an SSL certificate. Directly or through the subdomain presented by the OP here, same thing.
Domain with hyphen and .top extension, I have to admit, is a desperate choice of domain. I am really interested in how this site will be SEO optimized and its rank in a few months.

The main domain is online only the subdomain is offline I use this link to access the site http://brand-up.top/ not good on any site that is not encrypted You cannot trust a site that has no security certificate when you're interacting, based on Whois they are an old domain that they
likely purchase so they can say that they have existed for 7 years already based on their homepage a very old trick by providers to gain credibility.

He was probably waiting for someone to say: "Oh really?Huh Binance is working with this unknown exchange??? Let me put 100k in it."

He's not going to get one and he just exposed himself as someone employing deceitful advertising, he's so ignorant that members can check his post history because we have seen this method so many times employed here. Cheesy

I've seen newbies spamming Bitcointalk with AI-generated articles with their links inside and this one is another method they employed not knowing that they will be easily busted.

I’m a brand new in the forum so please I want the senior member to help me out on how I can operate in forum without offense and some links that I can use to read about bitcoin.

All the information you need to be guided has been dropped here, I advised you to check all of these links and spend time reading and absorbing them so you will not be lost and you can post with confidence here, and when it comes to Bitcoin I always recommend reading Bitcoin Whitepaper highly recommend to read the original work of Satoshi Nakamoto first.

For a simple explanation of that Whitepaper I recommend this reading

1360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: August 29, 2023, 11:25:16 AM
This is just a regular fight, I do not think that there is a huge money involved it may be a decent amount at best.

With regards to money, I think he got a bigger amount received now with Treasure Boxing Promotion than with MP Promotion based on how generous he is with his friends and families. In his YouTube vlog, he built a stable on which I think cost a hefty amount then he bought a Ford Ranger for himself, i know he can afford that one but he didn't show/experience it when he was with MP Promotions.

Big name or not, I think Quadro Alas will receive a hefty amount that is stipulated in the contract.

Knowing Casimero he'll find a way to be on top again, MP promotions lately did not give him a decent fight or a title fight something Casimero deserves, Since he was stripped of the title, he never got a title shot from prestigious boxing organizations, this fight is not a challenging fight, can you imagine if after this fight there is an offer to fight Inoue in case he unified the title and move up to Super Bantamweight.
At some point, Inoue and Casimero's paths will cross so Casimero should have decent fights now in preparation for big opponents like Inoue, I hope after he disposes of Oguni he'll get the title shot he deserves.
