It is pretty crazy how they are attempting to bypass international procedures in this manner. Not much privacy left in the US.
1362  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you memorize your bitcoin addresses and private keys? on: November 11, 2015, 01:58:05 PM
I could probably memorize one or two if I wanted to but really have no need for that. I'd rather just use a bitcoin wallet. That being said, I did memorize a few hundred digits of Pi at one time just to see how much I could do so anything is possible  Tongue
1363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a waste of time mentioning Bitcoin to friends and family? on: November 11, 2015, 06:26:17 AM
I don't think it would be a waste at all. Though personally, I think it would take more than simply talking about it to them to get them to really be interested in it. If they hear enough people talk about it, maybe they would get interested in it though.
1364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still keep a fiat retirement account? on: November 10, 2015, 04:27:38 PM
Yeah, The Greece crisis does reveal some scary situations that could happen with fiat.

Banks limiting the withdrawal limits for your own money or closing so you can't even access your money is ridiculous. At least with Bitcoin, you control your money and don't have to worry about that.

That being said, I am still not ready to drop fiat right now so I will still keep savings in fiat at the time being.
1365  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your favorite game? on: November 10, 2015, 04:19:45 PM
Rocket League is my game right now. They just added mutators where you can customize all sorts of stuff. It is pretty fun and hilarious at times.
1366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If BTC makes it 10 years I think it would officially have "made it".. on: November 10, 2015, 04:11:20 PM
bitcoin made it already.

Yep, I agree. Bitcoin has already "made it". Adoption will only grow over time as far as I can see.

1370  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many bitcoin addresses do you have ? on: November 10, 2015, 03:59:15 PM
Too many to count. Usually will create a new one and archive an old one once I am no longer using it.
1371  Other / Off-topic / Re: What payment system do you use? on: November 10, 2015, 03:57:54 PM
Always use bitcoin if it is available. Otherwise Paypal is a good option as others have suggested.
1372  Other / Off-topic / Re: Fallout 4 on: November 09, 2015, 07:13:31 PM
So what is the consensus on the game so far for those that have actually played it? Is it worth playing?
1373  Other / Off-topic / Re: [POLL] Do you wash your hands after you go the the bathroom ? on: November 09, 2015, 03:44:51 PM
Every time. Staying sanitary is the best method to avoid sickness.
1374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Europeans Can Now Receive Their Paycheck in Bitcoin on: November 09, 2015, 02:23:03 PM
Yeah, I am not sure that I am ready to receive an entire paycheck in bitcoin, but it is still good to see services such as this popping up.
1375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: where is the anonimity? on: November 09, 2015, 02:05:14 PM
Yeah, the open nature of the blockchain actually makes it less anonymous and more trackable. If you want true anonymity, you need to take steps  yourself such as mixing coins and using a proxy if running a client that connects to the main nodes, etc.
1376  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin? on: November 09, 2015, 02:02:36 PM
Worst mistake is not getting into bitcoin when I first heard about it and waiting a year or two before doing anything.
1377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Testnet will likely fork to BIP101 on: November 09, 2015, 01:58:46 PM
Interesting. I think testnet isn't really used to much though. But the testnet becomes much less useful if it doesn't mirror the normal block structure. It would certainly be interesting to see how the fork affects it though.
1378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Ransom paid using Bitcoin on: November 09, 2015, 01:56:18 PM
Ransoms being demanded in Bitcoin certainly gives bitcoin a bad reputation. People begin to associate bitcoin with these negative things and it isn't good.

Although, once bitcoin replaces fiat, all demands would be in bitcoin anyhow. Essentially, it is just like demanding cash. But to someone not experienced, they may associate all of bitcoin with that aspect.
1379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So I made my first real purchase with Bitcoin on: November 08, 2015, 09:31:40 AM
You can always buy Amazon gift cards through Gyft. You can always get gift cards for a bunch of other retailers. I recommend checking it out Cheesy
1380  Economy / Economics / Re: I just made my 4th BTC on: November 08, 2015, 09:30:41 AM
Not bad. How did you make them? Through services?

I would say hold on to your coins and wait on the increasing price of bitcoin Cheesy
