Cashed the American League ML yesterday for the all-star game. Got in early so got a good price. Pick was +120 on pickmonitor, record updated.
1362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: StatDude's Bitcoin Sports Betting Picks & Reviews (7-3 for +3.57 units) on: July 17, 2013, 08:43:19 PM
Thank you for the hints. Yes the main reason for me also to think about such a shift is that poker is time consuming and sticky+ not as scalable as sports betting+ develops a kind of antipathy and hatred towards other players when playing long sessions..
I am a math graduate, most of my time I spend working on some papers, free thinking and searching for innovation.. poker just does not match this mental process to go on smoothly.
Maybe I should try to make a reasonable bankroll through poker and then turn my attention to sports betting.. and meanwhile, until then study and practice SB with a small bankroll to learn. What do you think?
Also could you show me some sources for grasping the way of betting on tennis? I was thinking about soccer first. (no idea about basketball at all)

Hey buddy Smiley

Sure, here are some sources. Seems like you have the right mindset.

tennisinsight.com
http://www.coretennis.net/ (research ITF and juniors)
http://tennis.wettpoint.com/en/ (build some historical info with this)
http://tennis.matchstat.com/

Damn man you're killing it. Might have to tail some of your plays for a hundo. Crazy good record you got going so far, keep it up!
Oh and kind of glad our challenge fell thru, don't know why but it looks like you'd be crushing me  Wink BOL!

Thanks for all the input guys!

"start with 10 bitcoins.  bet and lose 4 in a row.  Now you should bet 6 btc. "

UMMMMM, math fail sir.

This and every post by "Insanity" has been a fail. I still am debating whether or not his comments are just a huge trolling. Also, Moneyman, I PMed you about what we talked bout on seals yesterday, thanks.
1364  Economy / Gambling / Re: **Error found on Bitbook.biz (images included/proof)** on: July 17, 2013, 08:38:47 PM
How is anyone seeing what bitbook did is right?

Thats pure insanity.

The guy emailed another reputable company with his findings, for this very reason.  Bitbook gets butt hurt because he found a serious flaw, and auto accuses him of scamming and threatens to hold his coins.

It's pretty cut and dry.  Bitbook fucked up, then they want to punish OP for it.

It is NOT OP's job to help them fix a site bug.  Can bitbook freeze or ban his account?  Sure.  Thats their choice.  Thats fine.  But to keep his coins.  NEVER is that right, ever.  Bitbook can guess at his intent, but I tend to think that since he PM'd all the info to a third party, reputable company, before proceeding, that he was trying to test to see if the site had a clear security leak, or if it would be noticed.

We will never know if the OP wouldd have kept the coins.  But think on this:

If he wanted to keep the coins, wouldnt he have loaded him one account, made all kinds of bets, then transferred them to one other account and cashed out?  What he did makes absolutely no sense for a scammer to do.

All you people who are saying you respect and are now a customer of bitbook for life after this are insane.  They handled this piss poorly.

OP, glad you got your coins back.  I see what you tried to do.  It's what any person who tests sites for flaws would do.  Obviously these people here have no idea what bug testing is for.  Good on you sir.

Hit the nail on the head, thank you.

Upon re-reading the thread, bitbook does seem quite sketchy.

Should I paint them red, or...?

Thank you for re-reading, if anyone thinks I was wrong please please please take 10 minutes and reread.

I believe Bitbook.biz should pay for having this exposed on their site.  I have seen tons of post of bug's being found and donations being given.

I want to make a pledge.

80% of anything donated from Bitbook.biz will be donated to BitCoinTalk.org
5% will be given to my escrow
5% will be given to everyone sends Bitbook.biz a PM urging them to do the right thing (post here count as the same thing)
10% will be kept for myself

All funds can be sent to John K to be distributed.
 Cheesy Roll Eyes

You are going to get 0. Stop trying seriously. They aren't going to go from "he's a scammer" to giving you BTC. For one they won't do that cause they still think you scammed, 2 that would look very bad for business if they call someone a scammer and next minute they call them a helper.

He is now trying to do a "raffle" for the block eruptors. I have made a post regarding this thread.

Here is the raffle thread, which is found in the gambling section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=257194.0
1366  Economy / Gambling / Re: Win your own Usb Block Erupter for 0.1 Btc on: July 17, 2013, 12:30:48 PM
I've cleared my post because honestly if this is a scam its one that will cost you a mere $10, a good lesson learned. Good luck.

Here is the scam accusation thread against him (you make your own decision): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=257463.0
1367  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitBook.biz - Bitcoin sportsbook - Best odds - Very quick transactions on: July 17, 2013, 12:26:25 PM
Hey,
Just wanted to let you know of something that happened earlier today that I think you could fine tune a bit. I saw the K. Knapp vs
A. Cadantu matchup and really liked K. Knapp. So as I normally do to see if its a "popular bet" I entered 10 into it and then press place and it said exceeds your normal balance. So I thought "okay it can accept up to 10 BTC no problem". Well I deposited 7.25 BTC or so and tried wagering it only to discover that the max was 6.25 for ML. I was disappointed by that. Is there any way you can have it so the maxes show up before I deposit? I don't like to bring it up, but I wish I had been able to do the whole amount on ML instead of laying the rest of Knapp's spread which I did. My point here is, I didn't have much time and I thought you guys could take the full amount but you could not. And I did not have enough time to withdraw my other coin or so to place it with another book. Is there any way you can post the maxes per game or per sport somewhere for the future? As I a frequent bettor on multiple sites I appreciate knowing what my maxes are before depositing. Thanks!
1368  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: July 17, 2013, 09:02:17 AM
We ran a bounty tourney tonight and it worked perfectly.

A bounty game will run twice daily, 2am and 2pm ET, total entry of 84 chips, 50 to prize pool, 20 to bounty, 4 rake.

On Monday there is a 300 chip bounty game at 9pm ET, 200 to prize pool, 100 to bounty, 15 rake.

Thanks to SealsDeals.info for making this happen.

Just an error, 50+20+4 = 74. I assume you meant the bounty is 30.

1374  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinobit - LIVE ROULETTE - OFF-THE-CHAIN - BEST 2013 on: July 17, 2013, 01:09:20 AM
Sounds great! Only issue though that could be presented is the 6 confirmations required rule. I would make it similar to the other casinos and make it based on the amount. Like under 1 BTC deposit 1 confirmation, 2-3 BTC 2 confirmations, and so on. Or something similar. Or at least offer what another big casino does, let you click "withdraw" without the ability to cancel that withdraw. I know that sounds weird but I tell you many gamblers do not stop when they really and truly want to do. If you allow them to stop then they'll be happy even if they lose it all later. The other casino that does this is bitzino, when you click withdraw its submitted and once deposits confirmed its sent, no chance of canceling. Even though I've lost there, its good knowing my withdraws will be sent even if I hit a cold streak with the balance I leave to play with. Sorry this was so long and if I sound like I'm ranting, just feel like 6 confirms is too long when many gambling sessions last 15 mins or less from what I've seen.

uvwvj:

If you match my blockchain .1 transfer with the PM's/post on my escrow site you will see that I was bringing this to everyones attention far before being frozen.

Thank you for your honesty, I am so disappointed with how Bitbook.biz has handled this.

I was actually pretty pumped when I get praise from Kingofsports

I did not praise you, I wished you luck and said they would appreciate you telling them of the error. I do not know all the details and am staying neutral in this matter. I hope the outcome is one that is satisfying to both parties.
1377  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTS] Up to 11 BTC, many payment methods! on: July 16, 2013, 11:35:47 PM
Someone offered me a really good price for a $300 moneypak so I took it. No more moneypaks being accepted due to weekly limitations.

Edit: 8-9 coins left. Sold nearly 3 coins to MsBitcoin.
1378  Economy / Gambling / Re: Error found on Bitbook.biz (images included/proof) Pulled down till credited on: July 16, 2013, 11:07:34 PM
Please do not make me involved in this. I am not the owner but in this case I would refund with the possiblity of banning if he truly did not have ill intentions, however that is not my decision to make. However, donating his funds or otherwise when he seemed to go out of his way to make it known he was trying to fix an error would be a bit of bad publicity. However, I do not know the timestamps on when it all happened. If you froze his accounts and then he came on here telling people about it thru PMs and sorts then that looks bad on the player, because then it looks like he played the "I was going to tell you when I was sure of the error!" game.
1379  Economy / Gambling / Re: Error found on Bitbook.biz (images included/proof) Pulled down till problems fix on: July 16, 2013, 10:36:02 PM
Agree, the information has been taken down because I, like Bitbook.biz am a stand up guy.

Fingers crossed they can bounty 20+ because that would put me back to even for betting (20+15.1 of course)

Kingofsports can you confirm the problem still exists so someone can't just say "He was 14 post, SCAMMER SCAMMER *blah blah blah*"

(I have PM'ed them several times trying to explain, but my writing skills are not the best  Cry )

All of my BTC is in exchanges in USD form at the moment. Sorry I cannot help you out atm.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=257114.msg2739095#msg2739095

Thats quite pathetic honestly. Also, I never send first anymore unless the other person has a company in BTC worth 10x the amount I am risking such as Mpex owner, just-dice owner, bitbook.biz and so on.
