Unlocked!I noticed TalkStar DT1 no longer distrusts BitcoinGirl.Club DT2 (yesterday), so I checked his Trust list changes. August 1:Last Saturday:If those changes are intentional, feel free to ignore this and I'll lock this topic soon again. But if you forgot to "undo" this change after BitcoinGirl.Club recovered his account, you may want to reconsider it.

I tried contacting Coinbase support but have had no response. Anyone able to help me please.... Nobody else than Coinbase can help you with this, crypto wouldn't be exist if a third party could recover your coins.

When I leave DT, it will be by my choosing. No one cares about an opinion if the person giving it doesn't care about it either. You can't leave DT ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) You can request to be blacklisted from DT1, but your DT2 status is up to DT1 members. Marlboroza tried and failed considering his current DT2 strength (25).

TryNinja and LoyceV are experienced with scraping data so maybe they can help! (mentioning their names so they get notified). Sorry, I can't help you with Facebook.

POST https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;msg=55234944
body { merits: 1 msgID: 55234944 sc: 10fd66fd5a757e4b3be2a050785c27a5 } If there's a way to post this with wget I'm interested. That reminds me: I had a working python script for posting on the forum, but it stopped working 3 years ago and I never got a replacement. I could do fun things with automated posting.

Is he a merit source? It must be, up to last Friday, Vlad2Vlad has sent 3281 sMerit, which is far more than he could have sent without being a source: ![Image loading from loyce.club...](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Floyce.club%2FMerit%2Fhistory%2Fimg%2F112208_red.gif&t=663&c=0-rggBU_W_mIPw) I checked the posts, and although I don't agree with Meriting them, I don't expect him to be removed as a source over this.

|

I imagine there are some bot is working behind. 1. Give it the list of the links of the pages 2. Allocate the number of merits you want to give to each link (if not the same amount for all) 3. Execute the bot. Writing a bot probably takes longer than doing it manually: just get the list ( Full Merit history for: Royse777), open the links in a new Tab, and Merit them.

(Don't forget to also tell him to stop his weekly publishing of everyone's trust lists in a giant compressed text file, which is what LoyceV is actually using, but that's not as bad since the information is less up-to-date.) Well, the troll has a point: you can't see live data without logging in. But is visiting Is Lauda Still On DT.tk really more likely than just creating an account to see the same information? Of course, this topic is all about requests: Please delete the website thank you. I've cancelled the domain. Thank you for respecting my request. Then again, I have troll "Bitcoin SV" on ignore, so I don't care about his opinion.

It seems like a decent amount of work and effort is needed but now that I think of it does the benefits justify it? No ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) I have enough to do already, but worse: I'd have to check every post one by one, instead of downloading several posts at once from recent.

Below, I have listed 12 posts I (quickly) checked all of them using Google Translate, and they look good enough to unload some of my source sMerits on. Good luck with your application, it's been a while since theymos added new sources.

1) He buys btc for his $10 at an exchange (he pays around 2-10% commission) 2) Occasionally, he needs to go from onchain btc to LN (losing another %) It's possible to find an exchange that charges 0.25 to 0.5% on trades, let's take the higher one: That's $0.05. The real problem is going to be withdrawing Bitcoin, most exchanges charge 0.0005 to 0.001 BTC in transaction fees, which can eat up your entire $10. This problem will disappear the moment large exchanges start supporting LN directly. You can get around this by converting to for instance Doge (there goes another $0.05), transfering to for instance CoinPlaza.it (ref link in my Mobile sig), and exchanging it to Bitcoin LN (there goes another 1%, so you'll end up with just under $9.80 in LN. I didn't do KYC on CoinPlaza so I've never tested their fiat deposits. There are probably (small) exchanges out there that accept fiat deposits and offer LN withdrawals too. That solves all problems you've mentioned here. There is huge cost inefficiency here killing the LN benefits on the spot. Entry barriers to LN are too high for small payments. LN is most efficient if you're going to send and receive many small transactions, not just one-time. If you open your own channels instead of using a custodial wallet, you'll end up with on-chain fees for opening and for closing your channels. Maybe i'm missing something here. But my idea is to find a way of sending small fiat amounts from point A to point B very very cheap using the LN as backbone. LN isn't meant to send small fiat payments, it's designed to send small Bitcoin payments. It would be interesting to see if there's any demand for a small-jobs-thread on the forum: anything under a few dollars, paid in LN.

SERVICE #4: TAKE A DEEPER DIVE Status: in development Description: move funds into LN satoshis at a very cheap rate. The cheapest I've found to convert on-chain Bitcoin to the Lightning Network: BlueWallet (custodial!): only your own on-chain Bitcoin transaction fee. Phoenix Wallet: 0.1% plus your own on-chain Bitcoin transaction fee. Note: I didn't include fees for sending LN payments later on and/or withdrawing to on-chain Bitcoin.

why not after 2 years (or even four or five years) negatives fade to neutral? Type 2 and 3 Flags expire, I see no reason to make my feedback expire too. Also, why not once a person has given negative trust feedback they can neither add more negative, neutral or even positive unless they first remove (or change to neutral) their trust feedback? There's already a limit in place: you can't leave more than 5 tags on a user. I can think of reasons why someone doesn't want to remove a tag that was placed on a certain date, it's serves as a timeline of events. Having radio buttons on the trust feed back page I don't think this will get very high on theymos' Todo list.

Ironically, Trade Fortress (who scammed people out of thousands of dollars) is only DTx (-9) His trust feedback store is what counts when it comes to scamming: Trust: !!!: +4 / =0 / -13, and that looks much worse than peloso's Trust: +2 / =3 / -3 or your Trust: +9 / =6 / -0. When comparing Trust inclusions, most of the users who included TradeFortress haven't been online in years: such is the skewered perspective of right and wrong this place has. I agree the decentralized Trust system isn't perfect, and I'm pretty sure theymos would agree, but so far no better system has been proposed.

New boosted wins! Make sure to check out the OP with the changes ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) So I no longer need to end my prediction on two zeros ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) This largely improves the odds of winning a boosted win. Have you ever considered scraping the bbcode of posts instead of the html? Or at least scrape both of them? I scrape posts as a guest, without logging in. That means I only see HTML, there is no BBCode. The only way to see BBCode of a post would be by clicking " edit" (for my own posts) or " quote" for posts from other users. And that's only possible if the topic isn't locked. I guess the forum database stores posts as BBCode, but that's above my pay grade.

Just to add my 2cents, if some copy paste the articles from other sources and put the source at the beginning of the thread will this not count under plagiarism ? That makes it more obvious it's not your own text, but it's really up to the Mods. As far as i know anything which is copied from external sources (not translated only word to word copy) should be put in a quote, am i right about this ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) That's what I would do, or you can use quotes. Example: Satoshi said: "Banks .... lend it out in waves of credit bubbles with barely a fraction in reserve". It's obvious this is a quote, but less disruptive than putting this short text inside quote tags.
