1381  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [GUIDE] Undervolt antminer s1 [1.19W/GH at the wall] on: September 02, 2014, 01:52:12 AM
I did a couple today just as a test as it's now at about the crossover point where profitability is the same underclocked as overclocked. I soldered a 8.75k in parallel with R3 to bring it down to 0.85V, and changed the fan for a Helix 120mm since I have a pile of them from my H220s.

Between two units I dropped from 843W at the wall (on an off brand 850W supply) and ~405GH/s to 341W and 281GH/s. They're super quiet as well, though I'm not yet convinced that with low enough ambient you couldn't just run them without a fan.

that is pretty bad ass right ?  the first thing i noticed was the noise level reduction on the s1.  before my living room sounded like it had a mini-jet taking off, now it's very silent and does not produce as much heat.  i am tempted to buy those goofy little heatsinks for the chips, but i know it probably is not required.  so i don't think i will be dumping anymore $ into the s1.

mr. teal, you may know better, but is it possible to daisy chain the s1's ?  say if someone has a antminer with a bad controller card, can you splice it into an antminer that has a good controller card and have both units run from it ?    thanks

Once the S1 upgrade kits get out we should see people figuring out how to run a lot of boards with one controller.
1382  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mining.BitcoinAffiliatenetwork.com - we're giving away 1 Antminer S3 every day! on: September 01, 2014, 07:49:40 PM
I say screw it and just publicly discuss it because we already know s0br will make up for whatever he can if something turns out to be his fault. If it turns out to actually be MP's fault then we will know that too and then get watch him try to save face.

I've said it before and I still stand by it. Sure the pool is far from perfect, but it is still rather new. That said there are bound to be issues. So can we all just try to play nice, myself included, and try to fix whats wrong as a group or we can all continue our childish ways.
Agree
1383  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [GUIDE] Undervolt antminer s1 [1.19W/GH at the wall] on: September 01, 2014, 05:36:34 PM
i currently have 6 s1's running at 200gh/s at 400w each powered by 2 corsair AX1200i's and its getting to the point where I'm not making much, i probably won't make anything after this next jump in diff unless BTC goes back up to 600.

Im looking to get these guys down to 200w each, and get all 6 on 1 psu.

What appears to be the best config for them running around 200w? the Corsairs are a beast and although rated at 1200 I've run some of them at 1300 and 1400 for an extended period of time with no issues. I had to put the AX1500i that i have my 4 overlocked S3s connected to on its own circuit breaker. but then again at the price they are they should be crazy good pus's

i want to drop the voltage down to .85. it looks like some people had some good luck getting around 150-160 ghs here. what freq are people using in this area.

and i haven't seen much talk of dropping the voltage down to .75 what kind of results are people getting there.

I am thinking in about 30 days or so I will try and drop mine down lower unless the value of BTC goes back up that is.
1384  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: antminer S1 upgrade kits on: September 01, 2014, 03:02:33 PM
To me the "upgrade" kits are not worth it.

If the miner will mine at a profit seeing you have cheap electric then that is what I would do. I penciled modded and undervolted all 9 of my S1's and dropped the watts by 200 each but gave up @40 GH/s each. My electric cost is .125KW so they now cost me @ .51 a day each to run but make @ 1.25 a day. And if the price of BTC goes back up I can clock them back up and may even do it once winter hits and I can use the heat for the house.

Brilliant! We can agree to disagree on the upgrade kits. The problem I'm left with is I'm going to have a LOT of old S1 boards without the cases. I need a schematic or diagram, to illustrate a method of powering, programing and getting them to produce. Your point on heating the house once winter gets here is well taken. While the electricity is cheap, natural gas cost is outrageous. My utility bill normally doubles during the winter months. I've already got some long Cat5 cables, and plan to strategically place my miners throughout the house to provide heat. Again, whats to do with the boards? There has got to be a way to power them up and have them mine.

I do agree that there must be a way weather you can use one control board to run more than two blades or if you can get a lot of them to run using a computer to run multiple boards much like BFL did with the singles or even how the USB miners are ran? It's all way out of my league for sure but the ones that will get free boards will find a way but unless they have free power they will need to undervolt them either way it seems.
1385  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: September 01, 2014, 02:35:45 PM
I'm getting a 502 "Bad Gateway" message when trying to connect to one of my S1's. It's been going on for a month or so and it mines fine (thus I could ignore it this long), and I can access it via SSH, but not the web interface. Any ideas?

I had same thing on a S3 was afraid to reboot but was told to do so by Bitmain tech and it worked.

@aurel57 - You obviously have nothing to do with BAN, or you would know who I am on that list. If you had half a brain, you wouldn't have made the mistake of assuming the names on the Pool were the same as this forum. So who's the idiot?

First show me where I ever lead that I have anything to do with BAN other than mine on the pool. Then show me where I said your forum name is used on the pool?? All I asked for was to show us your name on the list??
1388  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mining.BitcoinAffiliatenetwork.com - we're giving away 1 Antminer S3 every day! on: August 31, 2014, 07:13:42 PM
@ aurel57 - do you also work for this pool?

Why are you so aggressive?  We only want what we were promised, that is what bought us here. Calling people names for asking normal questions is not fair.....we have waited for a long time with no contact at all.

To answer your first question: No

OK. If you do not work for the pool, please don't speak for them. I want information from people who are running the pool. As far as I can tell, that would be s0br or ThePhwner, even though they both seem unable to answer anything - I would still prefer to get my answers from them. A BAN dev, not a BAN user.

Better yet than you telling me if I can post or not ...either take or not the information I have as others may find it useful.

Besides the only questions I answered of yours were the ones YOU asked me?? LOL megahash or bubbabc or what ever other name you go under
1389  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mining.BitcoinAffiliatenetwork.com - we're giving away 1 Antminer S3 every day! on: August 31, 2014, 07:06:45 PM

You decided not to buy other hardware because you were banking on winning a free miner?Huh?   When there are over 200 ppl in this pool?Huh  Maybe you call scratch-offs your "retirement fund".

Either take the free extra btc from mining here, or dont.  but there is really no cause for griping about it.

Yeah, I had a chance to buy 3 S1s for $400. Then I supposedly won an S3. Why spend $400 dollars if I'm getting an S3 for nothing? What part of that don't you understand?

Wow you care to show me your name on the list??

So this still does not answer the question ....  you care to show me your name on the list??

Who the hell are you? Are you associated with BAN? BTW, if you were half the genius you act like you are, you should be able to figure it out.

It would be a lot easier if the pool name had idiot somewhere in it.

To answer your first question: No

Second question: someone questioned why I was speaking for someone else. All I was doing was giving out information that I had. I can confirm that I know of one S3 that was delivered to the first person on the list. Then I was curious as to why someone would want to blame a pool on his decision of not buying equipment and how that is the pools fault? If you would look at my past post I am wanting answers as much as the next person that has been told they are a winner. When I first joined I was uneasy about a few things and pulled my miners a couple of times. Things were always made right and I came back as I was and still am making more than I can at another pool. So because of that I stay now as long as the payments keep coming. If for some reason the S3 does not come I will determine later if I stay or if I go, but the longer the S3 shipments take the less they are worth.

If you look at the list below, the first winner Bigjgc2002 has told me that he did in fact receive a S3 miner but only one so far even tho his has won two.

I don't believe. Bigjgc2002 not active here for 9 month with 0 posts - how is possible?, look:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=143466

Only people who run pool say they get S3 - but never can proof it - all fake - this is big SCAM!!!!!!

Look at pool statistic and you will see he has mined non stop on the pool. It does not matter if he is on the forums or not. I know him from a FaceBook group we both belong to. And we split a S3 order from batch 2 since we only want one miner to try them out.

Why you speak for him? And this guy also, bitguru, 7 months no actve - he is in your FB group too I think?

Only lies on this pool, lies & SCAMMERS. No proof of anything, I waste much money here, always problems.

Hey dumb ass maybe it's because he has not been on the forums for 9 months or have you forgotten already?? He is active on a FB group, he is the one that told me about this pool and the giveaway which I didn't think much of until he told me he won one and that made me take a look. This was after we split a batch 2 order for the S3's. This is all the truth and you can believe what ever your little mind wants.
1395  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mining.BitcoinAffiliatenetwork.com - we're giving away 1 Antminer S3 every day! on: August 31, 2014, 05:39:58 PM
Ok this is becoming BS. People have real money invested in mining. Some people have paid for rentals to qualify for the give away. Some people, like me, have held off buying cheap S1s. For me, S1s would have been profitable since I have access to power. And I'm sure there are other scenarios. So this is costing people real money, either in expenses or lost revenue, it needs to be resolved. Besides being a PITA to keep up with all the drama.

So I just have to ask this question.... What reason do you have that you have held off buying the "cheap" S1 miners? AND why would this have anything to do with this pool??

I know for a fact Bigjpc202 has nothing to do with the pool other than mine here. All I know is he did receive ONE miner and has sent email asking about the other one which he has not heard from. I don't know what problems s0br is encountering but I do not think this is a scam. But no matter what happens with the S3's I am still making more with BAN than the other pool I was on.

Just received a msg... again it may or may not be the truth. Just sharing.

"its all going shitty on BAN pool, s0ber has gone missing, rewards are all messed up again, "tp" is realy pissed at "mf as the s3 draw was a fix, "mf" just picked someone to win the s3 rather than it being done fairly like all the names in a hat & pick one out...he just decided who would get it each time......"tp" is going nuts saying its a fix, "d5", "tp", all the gang are going to pull the miners until things get sorted so the pool will be very low on hash"

Hope it's not true.

Payouts are working as expected and I have not pulled any of my miners. Of course the trend as of late is to speculate rather than find facts and discuss, so believe as you choose.

I can confirm payouts are working like they should. The amount looks correct and is more than I can get at any other pool at a steady rate.

Nothing? And you before me in winning list - this is not good.

BAN - WHY NO NEWS? NO TRACKING & NO S3 BEING SENT? TELL US NOW PLEASE!!

s0br has been missing for a few days now and nobody seems to know why or has heard from him. What I am afraid of is something has happen to him? He has been thru a lot setting this pool up working all nighters and hope he is fine.  He spent a ton of money on setting this pool up and for what he has paid out. The S3 drawing is not doing him any good if the miners are not out hashing for the pool and is most likely doing more harm as I received so much skepticism from people when I told them about the drawing which has seemed to have fallen apart now.

If you look at the list below, the first winner Bigjgc2002 has told me that he did in fact receive a S3 miner but only one so far even tho his has won two.

Edit: also silverthornne I believe has said he has received his

1399  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mining.BitcoinAffiliatenetwork.com - we're giving away 1 Antminer S3 every day! on: August 31, 2014, 01:42:01 PM
my last payout today wasnt fixed, the payouts are supposedly "fixed" now ?

For anyone who would like it, I can provide a user-specific URL showing your payout history and share/payments in queue. Message me here or in our IRC. I've talked with cgladue and I think we're back on track, will monitor.

just a followup, my payout today is within reason what i expected plus the bonus, so if it continues it appears to be stabilized... good job whoever fixed it Smiley  now just need s0br back to work on back pay and were off to the races

And hope s0br can get the S3 drawing straighten out

I ironically had to actually REDUCE the clock speed of my S3 to get it to run stable at 455gh/s at the default it was going nuts all over ~380 - ~420gh/s but since reducing the clock to 412.5 it's held 450-455gh/s solidly for several days now

which batch was it from?
