1381  Local / Alt Coins (India) / Re: How is Trestor still running? Is it a scam still? on: May 15, 2016, 08:38:54 AM
Hi I have seen Trestor is quite active and alive still:
http://www.indiainfoline.com/article/news-sme-start-ups/tech-start-up-trestor-embarks-on-mission-clean-with-swacch-machine-116040700522_1.html

and also from their website their live wallet app on google play has quite good reviews, and showing that it still has 700+ retail outlets.

Woahh.
It was a scam back then, it's still a scam now.  Grin
Not sure how they're still alive, though.
1382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mentioned on Blacklist on: May 15, 2016, 08:35:35 AM
Cool.

Now if only Bitcoin could get a mention in Game Of Thrones...

How many Gold Dragons would one Bitcoin be worth?

Haha.
Probably 1 Gold Dragon would get you like 10 bitcoins. xD
1383  Other / Meta / Re: Why doesn't Bitcointalk support 2FA? on: May 14, 2016, 10:48:39 PM
It will definitely help the forum as for the recent hacks on the accounts we're probably phishing, keylogger or a rat. But 2fa could most likely have prevented most methods of them being hacked.

I know, right?
If 2FA does get integrated on Bitcointalk, No account will get hacked.

Would probably help reduce scams.
1384  Other / Meta / Re: Why doesn't Bitcointalk support 2FA? on: May 14, 2016, 10:42:28 PM
Would this not be quite intensive to setup?
I have no idea but would imagine that setting something like this up now that the new forum is almost shooting out the gate might cause a few hiccups. Besides it would hamper selling of accounts. Lips sealed

Not sure.
I do know that Google Authenticator is free to use.
I don't think it would be a problem.
1385  Other / Meta / Why doesn't Bitcointalk support 2FA? on: May 14, 2016, 10:33:12 PM
Hey guys,

There were 2 hacks recently on Bitcointalk:

Why doesn't Bitcointalk support 2FA?
1386  Economy / Auctions / Re: Don't buy anything from me via pm!!!!! i got hacked on: May 14, 2016, 10:22:48 PM
Alright listen.  I got a pm from a member here declining my "offer", which was for $100.  Let me say that again, $100.  Right away i made a post in the goods section and the auction section.  I could have let it ride, contacted people who ive done business with and no one would have known.  I made it completely public right away.  Also i have done business with people on here without problems.  Those people i have done business have my personal information, they sent to me and ive shipped from the same address in the US since the first day i was here over 2 days ago.

Lastly, if you look at my signature i am about a week away from releasing my second series of genesis 2 coins (500 of them, if you want i can take a picture of them still in the process of being made).  Why in the world would i try to scam $100 from someone and be left sitting with thousands of dollars of coins i would not be able to sell.  Think about it.

My personal information is out there
Possibly thousands of dollars and company (genesis coins) losing credibility......all for $100 bucks.  Shit just 2 weeks ago i sent eodguy a free series 1 coin for free, denied him to pay for shipping.

Wait until you get hacked.....lets see how it feels on the other side.

Left you a trust feedback.
Sorry about the hack. Grin

I believe you, man.
You had flawless trust feedback and I'm sure Cyrus will remove his -ve trust soon.

I'll probably buy one genesis coin next week. Wink

1389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Brainstorming on: May 14, 2016, 10:10:27 PM
I think selling tokens for fixed prices would be good for investors, but would lead to an unfair distribution.
1390  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-E on: May 14, 2016, 10:01:37 PM
Yes it's the first exchange I've ever used and it's been around for a long time.
It has been operating smoothly ever since.
One of the few exchanges you can actually use! Just don't store coins on any exchange if you wanna be on the safe side.

Yes, I agree.
But if you do store some coins to trade, always use 2FA.

This is what happens if you don't use 2FA:

1391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [DISK] DarkLisk | No ICO | Decentralized Stuff | X11 on: May 14, 2016, 09:58:36 PM
Mostly another pump when lisk hit the exchange . I am very interested on seeing how the market is going to react to lisk and similar will happen to Waves.

I'm pretty sure that LISK would be dumped like shit in the beginning.
We'd probably 1$ rate 4-5 months from launch.

And as far as DISK is concerned, no updates from the dev.
He's probably filling up his bags at the moment.

Even .50 that is 7x the ico price. It will be difficult to keep up over one dollar when people are off loading for sure.

Exactly my point. Grin
I'm regretting that I didn't buy more LISKs. :/

I hope the same happens with WAVES. Wink
1392  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-E on: May 14, 2016, 09:55:27 PM
Has anyone ever heard of or used BTC-E. It seems to be the only way to convert your bitcoins from a wallet to USD in paypal. Is it trustworthy, and is there a better way?

Yes, BTC-e is a very trustworthy exchange.
It's one of the top Bitcoin exchanges.

I've used it many times to trade BTC-USD.
I'd recommend it. Grin
1393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero ICO on: May 14, 2016, 09:52:03 PM
I think now that Monero has flopped they could consider relaunching the network with an ICO

I mean like LISK and etc is doing, just use an existing project (in Monero's case Monero, in Lisk's case Crypti), and relaunch it with an ICO to work on the unfinished product.

That means Monero devs can attract a lot of funds and then finally finish the GUI etc

what say you,  folks?

Are you talking about a Swap with an ICO?   Huh
1394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is Craig Wright doing now? on: May 14, 2016, 09:49:09 PM
Craig Wright is probably doing the same thing he did before, which I can't really comment on. I'm not sure what he used to do before he made his wild claims.

He's probably counting the money he got from all the press coverage, actually. He probably walked away with a fair amount and he doesn't mind having that as a nice bonus for his bank account.

What money are you talking about?

Probably trying to figure out another way to "reveal" himself as satoshi.

lol Cheesy and he would say sorry again like Justin Bieber
I do not think he is so talented to make up a new believable story.

Well, you never know.
He might "find" some other proof. Grin

1399  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Can I trust Blockchain.info wallet? on: May 14, 2016, 07:36:54 PM
I started my wallet there in 2013 and forgot about it.  I recovered it and now updated it to their "new wallet."

I saw a lot of posts on Reddit that say it would not be wise to use them. But I like the site and the app for my iPhone.

Dumb question, if I make an address with it, can I use that address with a different wallet? If so, do I just use the address and key to migrate it?

I'd recommend you to use Coinbase, as it is just as secure & best of all, Coinbase pays the mining fee. Wink
1400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Lutetium [LC] Sell and Buy thread on: May 14, 2016, 06:28:08 PM
I'd be willing to buy @ 10 sat each.
PM me with offers.
