Ripple
i think we all should do some home work

from what i've read ripple can become a powerful tool. and bitcoin would be better off if every bitcoiner knew exactly what it is all about and how to use it.

I'm not claiming to have full technical knowledge of Ripple (but neither do I have that level of knowledge of Bitcoin), but I do know enough about it to believe that the arguments in defense of it all seemed to ignore one basic problem many bitcoin followers have: it's centralized, and there is no indication that this will ever change.

Rampion's post is an excellent summary of why I don't trust, and don't feel like supporting Ripple (I agree with everything except the last paragraph about the founders "cashing out". They will never do such a thing, as it would instaneously destroy their wealth in the process).

If you feel that anyone who's critical of Ripple is just (consciously or not) trying to defend his own get-rich stake in Bitcoin, then I guess I can't really argue any further.

ya thats to bad.
but its not enough of a reason to cast it aside.

hopefully crypto does "take over" that way people actually can implement decentralized banking solutions   Cheesy    Shocked BITCOIN!!!!  Grin

but as i understand it XRP should have very little value, i think people are confused and bidding it up without thinking....

I don't know where the price is going in the short term but by year's end we will be higher than we are now.

Conference opened my eyes as to how much is actually going on around Bitcoin. Hearing Yifu speak today made me ultra bullish. ASIC mining ramp up is not far off.

I think most of us here have the intention to sell only if we believe we can buy back in the short term. Long term leaving fiat on any exchange or even Bitcoins is very risky.

I agree with you here, it's the short term future that I have grave concerns about.

investing in bitcoin in 2013 post bubble doesn't sound to bad.
everything will work out.
we will make damn sure of that  Wink

It really is always a good time to be buying some bitcoin.

As a real estate agent, it is ALWAYS a good time to buy a house too!  Wink  As long as the long term value is there the advice is probably true.

However, in real estate, there could always be a natural disaster that could ruin a home.  The same goes with BTC.  Something down the road could lead to its demise, but it certainly worth trying for sure!

Everyone needs a lil  real estate, its always a good time to buy!
wasting money on rent is not ideal...
one should only rent if you have to Or you have a really good place for cheap.

its a buyers market right now for sure

but watch out for those interest rates, they wont be at 1% for long

Manipulation everywhere!
no bitcoin is as free market as it gets
and ya you can buy it up Up UP!!
thats the name of the game
I need to work on my stash
I need more S.Dice and ASIC minner

I think investing in bitcoin companies is a MUCH better hedge than buying alt crypto.

1) You help the bitcoin ecosystem by providing capital to smart people doing good things for bitcoin
2) Dividends!
3) If bitcoin goes down a lot,you can cash out more BTC
3) Its very likely that the share price will drop as bitcoin makes new highs,  BUT you can buy cheap coins and invest right away,  that way its like you paid $_$ for a good investment, even if the share price goes down because your other investment went up alot (BITCOIN) your account will undoubtedly be +5-50% in $ terms,
5) You get to buy bitcoin and then buy stock of your choice; Fun!

2 factor authentication & Trading API!

SICM+HIM+KCIM+SDICE+VTX = 16836BTC ~2,020,320$

people trust havelock investments with their bitcoin because lightbox has been a valued member of the bitcoin community, who runs other businesses in the bitcoin space.

S.dice

their decision to block US IP was 100% correct, as a shareholder I'm glad they did that, the dividents may go down a bit, but s.dice will live to roll the dice another day and thats what matters

VirtEx Canadian Bitcoin Exchange (VTX)

I hope a good buying opportunity presents itself on this on, VTX does not pay dividends, but your buying a pieces of what must be the #1 exchange in the world, ( i took 7 mins to do a deposit, or 1.249days if you do it with the convenience of online banking pay bill, and withdraw takes a  few hours really  Cheesy!

their isn't That much volume, but VirtEx obviously making money and will continue to grow exponentially as they roll out their merchant api and bitcoin shorting! the trading GUI will get better too, soon we will be able to place trigger orders.

VirtEx is serious business that has all this legal paper work squared away.

ASICM

This stock is HOT! its definitely not going down  Grin

having some mining dividends is a must for all well balanced bitcoin portfolio.

BUY BUY BUY!
it really is always a good time to buy
Bitcoin is wonderful!

Somebody just dumped +BTC3k

So that's all that's needed to manipulate the market in most cases. .

Let's see if the market will go along with it. .

Manipulation!

Manipulation everywhere!

I love how selling or buying a large amount of coins is automatically manipulation. Maybe someone just wanted to buy a house, or 720 hookers.
Buy hookers?  I thought the whole idea was to rent them!  If you buy them then they're called wives or girlfriends

the term is concubines.

I'd hate to know how badly 720 hookers, wives, girlfriends or concubines could nag you if they all started up at once.

King Solomon had 2000 wives and concubines. They say he was the wisest man ever to walk this earth. Anyway, my trick is to get an office on the top floor, and make sure you have guards on the stairs.
Manipulation everywhere!

It's a bot, it won't get offended if you put it in your ignore list.

That isn't what this is about IMO, people like to post the walls. The bot took their jobs and does it on a way some people can't even understand.

feel free to post wall pics from mtgox of btccharts thos 2D charts are easier to read and better looking.

i'm sure no one minds seeing more charts in the charts thread more charts  in the charts thread more charts!

A dedicated thread where only charts are allowed would be nice too

it would be really cool if it posted other charts periodical and if price hasn't move at least 2% not post a new depth chart
in any case chart buddy is gr8
i just wish he was with use the hole time.
