I need to scrape the merit count the first time before starting to give him a cached value + n. But sometimes the value is outdated, and sometimes it's already updated. Because of that, some people will see the right value (outdated + n = current), while others won't (already updated + n = more than he has). I'm still thinking of a better solution. BPIP had incorrect Merit counts before, but it seems okay now. Maybe suchmoon can share their solution? |

When I try to add a Doge wallet (for low-fee testing), it gets stuck at "Loading Accounts". After a while I unplugged it, tried again, and got the same result. Google tells me I'm not alone. That confirms the "worthless black brick"  ~snip~ Once I have a cable to connect it, I'll see if it works with Mycelium on mobile. If it works I can keep it as a more secure travel wallet, although it's a bit big. I'm not sure what to do with the "Loading Accounts" thing. I now have an OTG cable, so I tested the Keepkey with Mycelium on Android: it connects, then tells me there is no Account. I haven't funded it yet, and Mycelium calls it "cold storage", so I'm not sure if this is the expected behaviour. It would be nice if I can use the Keepkey to receive funds through Mycelium. Update: according to this Reddit post, it should be able to send and receive Bitcoin, but it also confirms Mycelium won't detect an account with 0 BTC. I'll have to Import a Keepkey account as read-only, but haven't tried that yet. I noticed verifying the password on Keepkey takes a long time. I can't imagine a reason for that, entering the password is so easy, and after that I have to wait for what feels like 30 seconds (I didn't time it). I also tested the Chrome app again. I didn't dare try Doge again, so I added Bitcoin Gold. After a few seconds, it said it's added. But it didn't show up I tried again with Bitcoin Cash: that one actually shows up. But I have no use for it. Then I tested beta.shapeshift.com, which, amazingly, shows a long list of accepted altcoins! I deposited some Doge, and was able to send it again. The fee was more than the usual 1 Doge, and I didn't see any way to choose it. That makes me worry about Bitcoin fees, so I didn't send any Bitcoin to the Keepkey. But even though beta.shapeshift.com seems to work, it's quite annoying. After everything I do, I get a popup asking me to make an account (which means KYC) and get some of their own shittokens for free. If I click to add another Doge account, I get the same popup, but no new Doge account. Apparently they think I'll make an account if they show me the same annoying popup often enough. Instead, I put the black bricklet back in it's box  All in all it can work, but out of all software options the only one that works is designed to convince you to use Shapeshift. Why am I even surprised? That's too bad though, because the device itself works much nicer than my Ledger. I really don't like entering a PIN using Ledger's 2 small buttons, and scrolling addresses to confirm on the small display isn't ideal either. Too bad Coinomi doesn't support Keepkey, that would be a good GUI to use. |

I used to visit the wall observer before but I didn't see it as "an invaluable source of the pulse as to where btc is going". Most of the conversations I read every time I go there were small talks. The invaluable information is hidden in between large amounts of small talk. A monthly summary of all important things would be great, as I don't have the time to read all posts. Maybe I just don't get it yet and I still have a lot of learning to do. I'll be lurking there again. I made WallObserver.tk if you like scrolling. |

If your entire beef is that I shouldn't be leaving feedback from both then I would happily remove one Please do Or repost it from the other account. Not because of some "beef", but because (at least in my opinion) it's the right thing to do. Had you not have used both accounts to post rubbish I would not have done so. I didn't notice Timelord used more than one account to leave feedback, but that's also kinda my point: I didn't notice it, because Timelord isn't on DT. I like to think DT-members (should) have higher standards: Be the bigger man!With great power comes great responsibility ( source unknown). Especially when you're on DefaultTrust (or if you want to be on DefaultTrust in the future), you shouldn't (ab)use that power by leaving (negative) feedback when someone does something you don't like. Your Sent feedback is what others use to judge your judgement. If someone on the internet is mean to you: boo fucking hoo! Use the Ignore button, and forget about them. 1. Include your alt in your trust list (But it is forbidden here and no one should do that) I haven't seen such a rule. This is my interpretation: Do's and Don'ts- It's okay to include your alt-account on your own Trust list. This means you trust the feedback you left from that account. Example:
- Don't include your main account from your alt account(s). This could influence DT1-voting, and although that's not part of this guide, it's bad.
I didn't include my Mobile alt on my own Trust list, because I use it to leave non-DT positive feedback. I wouldn't mind having the negative feedback on DT, but I can't have it all. I do see my Mobile's feedback by default though, because HCP included it, who in turn is included by suchmoon, who is on my own Trust list. That puts suchmoon (DT1) on my Depth 0, HCP (DT2) on my Depth 1, and LoyceMobile (DT3) on my Depth 2.
I don't plan to leave duplicate feedback from both accounts, but if it ever happens by mistake when my lists gets too long, please let me know so I can remove one of them. |

I need one more LTC with all the previous terms applied. I've recommended this in a similar case, and I still recommend it. It's not 1:1 though, it takes 1%. If you don't want to create an account: if you post your LTC addy, I can set it up through my account (limited to 100 euro per day), and get you a Bitcoin deposit addy ( after getting your LTC addy). |

Making false claims about escrow (or pretending to be an escrow, whichever way you want to look at it) - type 1 flag, because it creates a false sense of security for potential customers, and shows intent to deceive. My interpretation from spy100's "i will hold the funds in escrow" is that he'll keep the funds for the players by himself. I didn't read the word "escrow" as a person, but as the act of holding the funds. Maybe a less confusing way of saying it would have been "I will hold the funds", without "in escrow".

I noticed the negative feedback from 2 DT-accounts yesterday. I don't think I've seen something like this before, and I don't think this is how the Trust system is supposed to be used. One person should not give someone positive or negative feedback from more than one account, as it leads to 2 positive or -2 negative on the user's profile. A simple solution would be if hilariousandco uses hilariousetc for all feedbacks on your account. This person is well know for having deleted my posts on a whim whenever it suits themselves, as evidenced in their having recently deleted my posts in the bitcointalk interview thread Can you show the post? (Or I can dig deeper by myself later)Update: this is the post, although I can't tell if it was edited later. Modlog confirms one of your posts in that thread was deleted by a Mod, and my topic details confirm only one of your posts was deleted so it must have been by the Mod. I can't tell who deleted your post, when I read it in that topic I also thought it was mostly off-topic (but didn't report it because it also mentioned you declined the offer to be interviewed, which was on-topic). In general, complaints about moderation should be made in Meta. I've seen theymos restore deleted posts based on this (that happened in Politics & Society). Update: after seeing the post, I don't think it'll be restored. But you're free to try @theymos. |

Ah, one of the things I love so dearly about bitcointalk--there's absolutely no PC police here enforcing SJW standards. We are pretty much free to offend each other as we like as long as it doesn't descend into trolling. You can only offend people if they let you, so it's entirely up to them. If you don't want to be offended it's very easy: stop caring! To quote myself: Just recently, I saw several posts saying: "I hope I'm not offending anyone", and it's been on my mind for a while now.
I only recently realized why this is so common in English. In Dutch, "offended" and "insulted" are the same word ("beledigd"). But lately, it seems like people treat the word "offending" as if it's "insulting".
I'd say insulting isn't needed and makes you look bad, but being offended is a choice of the receiver, and honestly I'm offended by people who want to limit their own freedom of speech out of fear that someone might get his feelings hurt on the internet! Oh noes!
It's okay to offended people! Offensive jokes are often funny. Don't let SJW decide what you're allowed to say or even think!
