141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Dogecoin about to Make a Comeback? on: November 08, 2019, 12:33:12 PM
I am not a visionary to predict when the price will rally but when the alt coin market rises dogecoin will follow them and i made my profits last time and entered once again when the market went down.

I completely agree with you since Dogecoin don't have any big development like other coins but still manage to have a stable price for the past few years and this is one of the reason why people still using this coin. I can't think of any other reason for Dogecoin's price to rise except for another bullish market because this is the only time when there is a huge demand for Dogecoin since it has a minimal transaction fees which is favorable for traders.
142  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Sad news - Coinbase is leaking your information on: November 08, 2019, 12:12:17 PM
Isn't that our own fault too for giving too much information to them just so we could use the best features of their companies?

You're right so if you don't want your personal information to be leak then don't share it to these companies and try to find alternative ways, simple as that. With regards on Coinbase privacy policy it is stated that as a user of their platform you are giving them authority to share your personal information with other parties which means you agree with Coinbase terms after you sign-up so there is no point if you argue with them.

Here is the link for Coinbase privacy policy: https://www.coinbase.com/legal/privacy
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Extra weeks added to bounty campaign on: November 07, 2019, 06:00:41 PM
I have seen many good projects. Those who do not increase what the week says. And their projects are successful. Most projects that are over-the-counter may not be successful.

You have a point there mate but I think the reason why some project extend bounty duration is because they did not reached the softcap or they want more marketing promotion from the bounty hunters. I think you already knew that the market is not favorable for new projects these days so it will be a bit hard to collect the minimum funding goal.

For me as long as I see the projects has potential and they had a valid reason for extension then I don't mind working to them for another weeks or months because that's how I give my full support for their project.
144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scarcity is one of the leading factors of Bitcoins value on: November 07, 2019, 05:42:03 PM

markets do not change in relation to scarcity (21m) as that 21m number has been a factor for 10 years and has never changed and yet in 2009 when only 2mill were available the price was low. and now with 18m available the price is high.. which is an obvious counter indicator to scarcity

however the 'availability' (supply/demand) of just the custodian hoards of exchanges (1.2m right now of coins on exchanges) affect the price more
aswell as the decision to buy or to mine depending on the cost to mine 1btc vs the price to buy 1btc sways people to do one or the other to a varying degree.

scarcity of 21m is not a point again for emphasis 21m has ben a fixed number all along
its population demand for it (adoption desire) and market availability(market custodial hoards 1.2m NOT the 18m circulation)

You explained it well @franky1 though I also agree with OP's statement, what I meant is that Bitcoin's scarcity has pushed people to be interested on this space which may lead to increase demand for Bitcoin and grow its value. You were right about "markets do not change in relation to scarcity" but we could say that this is just like a stepping stone to drive its demand.
145  Economy / Economics / Re: ‘Bullish for Bitcoin’ — China Scraps Plans to Ban Cryptocurrency Mining on: November 07, 2019, 01:03:14 PM
the Chinese Government can make additional income for the country from several sectors, including taxes, income from the use of electricity, and retribution.

For me this is the most valid reason why they removed cryptocurrency mining from their list since the government and chinese miners will both benefit from it. I also think that the adoption of crypto mining is one of their steps in embracing blockchain technology, following the orders of  their president who announce his full support about the new tech.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CMC and coingecko on: November 06, 2019, 07:00:39 PM
Both are useful tools but CMC is more popular than Coingecko! Coingecko has something unique features like Exchange trust score, ICO review and many more but CMC only has token price chart, trading view and exchange rankings which also have in Coingecko! But CMC has some strong rules to get listed there where any coin/token project easily can get listed in Coingecko, that's why it has more coins listed than CMC! To me, this lot of token listing is a drawback in Coingecko!

I agree because way back 2017, almost everyday there is a new coin listed on CMC including shitcoins which I think the reason why CMC raise its standard for listing new coins. Coingecko is not new but competing with CMC's popularity is one of the possible reason why they accept new coin easily and one more thing is they want to get more traffic on their site due to the people searching for the new coin.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good projects/hard to reach softcap on: November 06, 2019, 06:38:43 PM
Nowadays crypto investors are very skeptic with new projects so the team owners should have a better marketing strategies to attract the interest of this investor in able to achieve their minimum funding goal. Raising fund these days have changed a lot, not like the ICO era before wherein a project can start collecting funds with a small capital because now as a start-up they must have a big budget to do a marketing push like doing a multiple IEO at the same time or having press releases in popular crypto related sites.

Is this a copy-trading platform just like what other projects offer or you only provide signals to your users? Also where will you base your technical analysis, it is from the team itself or from well-known traders in this industry? I would like to try your platform since I'm not good on trading but I need to know how this AI of yours work, by the way I did some digging about your site info and found that your site was just created this March 2019 but looking at your landing page you have achieved and claims a lot of partnership so I'm a bit skeptic about your project.
149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Technology "bottled" up on: November 06, 2019, 03:59:32 PM
The technology behind Bitcoin is really great which is why large companies cannot ignore its existence though it does not guarantee the mass adoption for Bitcoin. The good thing is that people are getting more aware about blockchain technology and of course the cryptocurrency itself since this is where all started for blockchain to become so useful. For me, seeing positive news regarding blockchain will surely make a big impact in crypto-space just like what Xi Jinping did on his recent comment about blockchain Wink
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 🔵 LATOKEN - Multi-Asset Trading Platform 🔵 on: November 06, 2019, 10:30:32 AM
Yesterday, the exchange closed to carry out the transfer of the platform to the new engine. It was promised that Latoken 2.0 will be 200 times faster than before. There will be a mobile app and a bunch of chips. But it's been almost a day ago and the site is still closed and there are no announcements.

Well the delays usually happens if there is a big changes on a platform but I'm not sure if Latoken 2.0 will help them to regain trust from crypto people. Anyways upon checking on their telegram group, the admin said that they are still working on the upgrades but will make an announcement once the platform is available.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what going on crypto | THE FUTURE CASINO ?? on: November 06, 2019, 08:51:14 AM
For now I don't see any problem for crypto if it's used in online casino since crypto have no no real use-case yet but I disagree with what OP's statement about comparing exchange to online casino because this two are very different platform especially on what they offer to their users. If OP thinks that trading and gambling are the same then he/she is totally wrong because trading needs knowledge to reduce the risk while gambling needs luck to win.
152  Economy / Economics / Re: BEEN IN THIS GAME FOR 6 YEARS on: November 05, 2019, 04:01:35 PM
I can't trust with any one else have prediction with bitcoin with higher or lower price, last discussing about anonymous picture prediction with bitcoin price past October raise $16k but bitcoin only have price under $10k. How come you can trust with very miss prediction which bitcoin and altcoin price still down, I think we prediction based on bitcoin news update and how bitcoin chart.

Price prediction have been in the trading industry (crypto or non-crypto) for a long time so it's really up to a person whether to rust it or not, what matters most is that we believe in Bitcoin and it's technology because it will bring a good future to anyone of us. I don't really care about the Bitcoin price fluctuation as long as Bitcoin stays forever though I'm very positive with it.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think IEO is more legit if launch on big exchnages like Binance? on: November 02, 2019, 06:12:39 PM
Binance is a big and trusted exchange that is why they will not ruin their reputation to introduce a new project in exchange of money, for sure they will make an investigation about the project before they announce it on Binance launchpad so we could say that the project is legit but it will not guarantee to be profitable because it will still rely on how the project will progress.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My eth is hacked ........ on: November 02, 2019, 05:35:10 PM
I think it will be very difficult to recover assets that have been hacked by others because if A hacker who gets access to your private key / password wallet of course the hacker can move funds from your wallet to anywhere in the world, and will be difficult to trace because its anonymous nature, I think if the wallet we have has been hacked by someone else it is better for us to immediately replace the new wallet address rather than to strengthen the security of the wallet address that was once hacked again because of the opportunity of being hacked again and if it is possible to immediately move the remaining assets owned from a wallet that has been hacked.

Tracing your funds is not really difficult since all transaction are recorded in the blockchain though it will take some of your time and effort, also there are group of people or organizations who are very good at it. There are some cases where criminals was caught when they convert their crypto to fiat through an exchange platform since most of the exchange is KYC compliant.
155  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it WORTH investing ALTS RIGHT NOW? on: November 02, 2019, 05:04:42 PM
If I'm correct most of the traders are earning a lot by trading altcoin instead of Bitcoin since there are many choices of altcoins they can play with using a small capital but if you are looking for long term investment then you must be very picky on choosing because some alts are have no actual plans in the long run which is why they turn to a shit coin after a few years. For me I only invest on altcoin that has been on the market for about 3 years to reduce the risk of loosing money.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can an expert tell me how to identify a shitcoin (example: Insight Chain) on: November 02, 2019, 04:43:30 PM
It's my first time hearing about this coin though they have been on the market for about a year, I was wondering why they still use ".io" on their main website? because as far as I know its usually use for initial offering and they have already done that so why not change to a formal domain name like .com or .org?

They got a good trading volume based on CMC, active community and lot of partnership so I could say that this coin has a potential since its run by Chinese people which is good on marketing their product but I will take a deeper research about this coin.
157  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin cross $50,000 by Dec 2020? on: November 02, 2019, 04:09:51 PM
With so many good altcoins around, do you think Bitcoin can cross $50k by Dec 2020?
Lol, where are those many good altcoins that you are talking about Roll Eyes. Most of them have tanked real hard mate and let's be realisitc for once guys. How on earth do you want to see Bitcoin rise all the way up to $50k by ending of next year. This is highly impossible looking at the situation of crypto industry and with most countries trying to prevent its adoption.

I'm pretty sure you know that market is very unpredictable that anything can happen in just a short period of time which is why people speculate Bitcoin prie, reaching $50K by the end of 2020 is not impossible specially that there will be an up-coming Bitcoin halving and if you were following the trend the price of Bitcoin always rise after the halving which is likely to repeat again for the 3rd time.
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea discuss the possibility to give crypto a legal status on: November 01, 2019, 06:47:53 PM
I seriously doubt an online petition is going to change the minds of the politicians in south korea...about anything.

This surprised me that crypto isn't taxed there.  Does that mean you can earn bitcoin and not have to pay taxes on it?  Crazy if that's the case, because I think such a situation has always been taxable in most countries ever since bitcoin was created.  If you acquire crypto without actually buying it, that's the *definition* of income, and if it gains in value before you end up selling it, that's the definition of capital gains.  So if s. korea isn't currently taxing crypto income or gains, they're just behind the times in my opinion.

The point is it won't. If a petition is going to be acted upon, there are always some certain conditions that would be met. One of those conditions is the population of those who signed the petition. You don't put a petition on a global forum for it to be signed when majority of the people who are the audience don't even have any connection to Korea. You don't raise a petition for the people in Washington to be take serious by government when it is signed by those living in New York. So, if there is any chance that this might would make any difference, then it needs to be signed by the citizens of Korea and have serious discussions and dialogue with government representatives.

If that's the case then OP should start persuading Korean citizen through their local board (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=82.0) but I guess OP was also trying to get some insights from other forum members which is why he/she open a topic on Bitcoin discussion because maybe OP thinks that most of the trusted member is lurking on this section.

I don't agree with taxation but if its the only way for Bitcoin to be fully adopted so be it.
159  Other / Off-topic / Re: Daily lifestyle in bitcoin. on: November 01, 2019, 05:22:04 PM
At first I thought this was a Bitcoin discussion thread since the topic is "Daily lifestyle in bitcoin" Grin Anyway I spent around 8-10 hours a day in crypto-space doing some bounties or any kind of service where I could earn more Bitcoin because my goal is to get more Bitcoin as much as possible before the bull market comes.
160  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Does MEDIA affect you? A poll on: November 01, 2019, 05:03:17 PM
Here in my country most of the news on TV are about the investment scheme that is related to cryptocurrency so I stop watching TV Grin I'm very affected on any media news about crypto so what I did is pick only what I want to see and hear because it boost my beliefs about cryptocurrency as a long-term holder.
