Wow, the Bucks.
The coaching change really did them dirty, well deserved.
Now they even lose against a Memphis team that "competes" with a 9 man (mostly bench players or even GLeague type players) rotation and has an injury list with 10 players, basically all their stars.

How can you even go from here if you are Milwaukee??
Can it actually happen and they fire Doc Rivers after just a few games? That would be hilarious!!

I don't think Bucks would fire Doc because of what is happening to them right now. I think Doc should take the blame alone; some of the players too should be responsible for what is happening. Dame has not been the same player he was last season; I don't know if it's the off-court issues that have been causing this performance of his or if he is struggling to run the offense of Doc Rivers's game plan. Or he just wanted to be traded to the Heat LOL  Grin Cheesy Also, Brook Lopez has been missing in action in the past few games. Giannis is carrying this team on his back.

Props to the Grizzlies, though; they are still winning despite having a few players playing for them. It has been several games that they are upsetting teams.
142  Other / Off-topic / Re: You can not win if you do not risk on: February 15, 2024, 04:35:50 PM
Gambling is already a risk because you do not know if there is a guaranteed win whenever you bet on something. So it is a risk; it just really depends on how much you are willing to gamble. If you are gambling with too much money, like, for example, 30% of your salary, then it is risky for you since you are betting that much money. If you are gambling with money that you are okay to lose, then it is fine.

But you are correct: sometimes you need to take a risk on gambling in order to have a lot of money; it is either high odds with a low bet or a high bet with low odds. Either way, if you are a risk-taker, then go for it; if not, then continue playing safe in gambling.

What can you say about the news that Golden State tried to trade for LeBron before the trade deadline? Also, it says that Draymond Green texted Rich Paul (LeBron's agent) if there is some way he can encourage or recruit Bron to go to GSW. This trade would pair LeBron and Steph Curry with the Warriors. If this happened, I don't really know if they would still be deadly as a duo. I know that both of them are still playing great this season. LeBron James is still averaging his usual numbers, and he is on the way to his 20th All-Star appearance. Same goes with Steph; he is still knocking down threes and carrying Golden State at his back. But if this happened way back in their prime years, this duo would be deadly. We all know LeBron loves having teammates that can knock down threes, and Steph is smooth playing with anybody; just look at KD when he was still in the Warriors; all of them are having their time on the court.

If that trade happens, the world will be in shock.

They probably offered something ridiculous for him just to give the Lakers a chance to dump salary and avoid LeBron causing an offseason media fest with his decision about free agency.

The 76ers also reached out to trade for Durant, Booker, or Beal. You can give them credit for trying, but none of those deals were ever going to happen.
These offers made the think that there must be crazy things going on behind close doors. These rumours are just the ones somehow got leaked. To me, Lebron in GSW seems impossible and would never fit for anyone, not for Lebron or Warriors. 76ers reaching out to Durant or Booker also seems crazy. How would that even work? I may be oldschool but I liked the days these kinds of stars were just franchise players. Teams with multiple superstars kinda killing it for me. It started with Lebron going to Miami actually. I hope these things woul never happen again.

I think lakers would not want that to happen since imagine how huge the market of Lebron and if they let this trade to happen then I guess there's a lot will be lose on their side. This discussion maybe didn't proceed since they cut this idea about possible landing of Lebron to GSW and this one just came out late since maybe some media just want to clickbait people to hype their article. I would say its impossible for Lebron to land in GSW knowing how big the asset would La ask in return and for sure they would ask lots of player which I think not really worth it especially Lebron is at the peak of his career and anytime he would provably announce his retirement.

I think LeBron is on a player option for next year, so teams could get him for nothing after this season. He’s also planning to play with Curry in the next Olympics… I never thought LeBron to Golden State was a possibility but after reading all the news today I think it could realistically happen. They’d just need to draft Bronny.

I think LeBron will still be committed to the Lakers. Even though these past few days he has been teasing the Lakers by posting that time emoji "⌛" and flirting with the Knicks by wearing Knicks colorway shoes and wearing and using a Knick towel in one of his interviews when they faced the New York Knicks at the Garden.

Also, there is news that the Lakers are trying to find a way to draft Bronny in this upcoming draft to see if this will make James happy. The Lakers still prioritize Lebron James' happiness; if I were the Lakers, I would do the same. It is once in a lifetime to have one of the best players in basketball play for your organization, so you will do everything to make him happy.

If the Lakers ever reach the Western Conference Finals again, or maybe the Finals and win the championship, there is a chance that James will still be a Laker next season.

Also, next off-season, the Lakers are eyeing these free agents to come and play with LeBron and AD. Those players are Donovan Mitchell, Dejounte Murray, Kyrie Irving, and even Trae Young. If the Lakers ever get one of these players, then most likely James will stay.

145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do i handle my first gambling experience on: February 14, 2024, 05:17:39 PM
Well, nobody can really give you exact advice. Nobody can give the best advice on how you will react to your losses and winnings; you should know yourself. But if you are looking for advice on gambling itself, on what to do and what not to do, That kind of advice is what you really need. First, you should know what your limits are when gambling. For example, you should set a minimum amount of money that you are okay to lose so that if you lose, it is fine for you. Also, you should set a goal; don't be too greedy when gambling, either winning or losing. People tend to get greedy because they let their emotions overcome their minds.

If you are a beginner, then let yourself explore gambling. You will learn from your experience, and you will eventually get used to it. Also, remember that there's beginner's luck; you might win some when you start gambling.
146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 13, 2024, 02:50:48 PM
A triple double with blocks hasn't been seen for quite a while I would say.

Well, Wemby accomplished that last night with 10 blocks versus the Raptors. They also blew out Toronto in dominating fashion.
It's funny, the Spurs are one of the worst teams but occasionally they win games by a huge margin, this time even on the road.

I think with this kind of performance, Wemby really wanted to cement the things that he can do on the floor. He really wants that Rookie of the Year award. With the first month of the NBA season, Chet is dominating the race; their stats are somehow similar, but Chet is just more efficient, and the OKC was winning, but after Chet got that rookie of the month award in December, it was a different story; Wemby is now dominating the rookies and led the rookies in total points, total rebounds, and total blocks this season. Also looking at Spurs last game against the OKC, Wemby is always looking for Chet; he wants that matchup badly. With this kind of performance by Wemby, I think the Chet for Rookie of the year campaign is now over.

But let's see, the season is young, and we're still in the first half of the season.
147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not gamble with Loan Money~otherwise you will be in danger like me on: February 13, 2024, 02:34:41 PM
That is tough, OP. I hope you can recover all the losses you have. It's like a double-edged sword was hit on you. Losing in gambling is already painful and heartbreaking; what more is losing the loan money you have? You should've invested it in something more low-risk, something that you can make the money grow, like businesses or any kind of investment. But it is already there, OP. I hope you stay strong in the months or years to come. I hope you can get out of that financial rabbit hole you have. Take a break and take a rest. I know you can do it.

Me too. Actually, I was kind of tempted to do that, but after thinking about it, I think it is better not to do it because it is too risky and I might get depressed if that happens.
148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If I bet big I lose, but if I bet small I win on: February 12, 2024, 09:35:28 AM
I think you are just imagining things; we tend to hold onto something when things are not aligning with us. We tend to think of something that will comfort us. Just like what you've said, you lose when you stake a large amount of money, and you win when you stake a small amount of money. If it were the other way around, would you think the same? Would you think that all of the betting sites and casinos' systems are tracking all your bets? I think not. This is just a mere coincidence; if ever betting sites and casinos do know our bets and their patterns, then it is much harder to track because there are plenty of players in one casino alone.

I did also experience this, but for me, it is just myself. I just create things to mend myself from all the losses I have.

149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 12, 2024, 08:55:10 AM
What can you say about the new additions to the Dallas Mavericks? With PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford, the Mavs get PJ from Charlotte in exchange for Grant Williams, Seth Curry, and a first-round pick. Daniel Gafford, on the other hand, came from Washington in exchange for Richauln Holmes and a first-round pick. Watching their game against the OKC last night, I think they are a great addition for the Mavs. They can be a lob threat every time Luka drives. Gafford, a high-flying big man, is a good pair with the Mavericks' first-round pick, Derek Lively III. Imagine them in the froncourt and Luka playing as the point. Lobs are everywhere if that happens.

PJ Washington, on the other hand, is a versatile forward who can stretch the floor and also slash through the rim. What's good about him is that he doesn't use the ball that much to score; he can score off the ball, and that's good because the Mavericks have a backcourt of Luka and Kyrie who are both ball dominant.

What is also good about this acquisition is that both Gafford and Washington are young; both of them are just 25 years old. They are not in their prime yet, which is good, but with proper training and workouts, I think they can be better in the future.

Overall, the Mavericks won that trade, as you can clearly see in their game against the OKC.
150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: February 11, 2024, 03:40:56 PM
Gambling at work is tolerable if you are working at home. At least when you're working at home you can contain yourself when you lose, you can make  yourself at ease because you know that you are in your own safe space. But if it is in office, I think it is hard because your workmates can notice your change of mood, either you are sad or angry, and it much harder to contain yourself because you are in the office. And yes, it can affect your performance. Because of your bad mood, you tend to get lazy and much harder to work.

So for me, let's prioritize our work first because it is our source of income. Without work, you have no money, when you have no money, you can't gamble. Gambling is just there for side hustle and for fun. Do not let gambling ruin your work.
151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: February 11, 2024, 03:09:16 PM
My today's parlay was a hit!

76ers MW
Hawks -3
Cavaliers -5
Warriors +3.5

The Philadelphia game was a little bit scary as the Wizards cut the lead in the fourth. I thought that they may eventually take the lead, knowing that they are wizards and sometimes they can win games. It is the same with the Hawks also; the Rockets cut the lead in the fourth; they cut the lead up to 8. But eventually Hawks prevail. On the other hand, the Cavaliers game is as easy as it gets. They beat the Raptors, 119-95. The Cavaliers are the hottest team right now, as they have a record of nine wins and one loss in their last 10 games. Also, they are in a nine-game winning streak as the second seed in the East. Everybody expects the Cavaliers to have a losing record when Garland and Mobley are injured. But Mitchell and the Cavs get it done.

And lastly, the game between the Warriors and the Suns was nerve-wracking. As they go back and forth, no team wants to give it up. Even though I do have a plus handicap, the Suns are still capable of making runs whenever they want. But the icing on the cake in that game was Curry's 3-pointer and also the game winner. I think he is really ready for that 3-point contest against Sabrina.
152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 10, 2024, 01:07:49 PM
And the series are now tied. SMB were able to rally in the 3rd quarter but they fall short in the 4th. Huge blow for the SMB as they loss JMF on that game, his ankle might be injured again and his status in game 5 is still uncertain. I hope he will be able to recover in time and the injury is not series as game 5 is a very important game for them, a must win situation to put pressure on the Magnolia Hotshots. It's the 2nd game that Boatwright Jr. has struggled again, this time he score 16 points from 5-16 shooting and his hot 3 point shooting is gone as he only made 1 of his 9 attempts.

Boatwright's is missing shots and with his poor performances the team again loss the game, I also hope that JMF will comeback this coming game 5 hope his injury is not that serious, I guess it's really something that will bring big impact for SMB's rally losing JMF will equal the chances of winning from both teams.

A fair and square competition without JMF, though Magnolia manage to tied the series and in coming game 5 if JMF will be sitting down they have another chance to extend their winning streak.

At this time, it's hard to pull the trigger this early because we are not sure about the status of Fajardo next game. Although SMB needs to win the next game but it still depend on how good their line up is. Missing Fajardo is gonna be huge for SMB as they will be missing a good rebounder and shot blocker, so let's calm down for a bit, wait and see, but hopefully JMF is fine and will play.

No need to rush, the game is not today but tomorrow in the evening. It will be Sunday, I'm sure there are a lot of SMB fans that will watch this game. A quick update on the point spread now, SMB is still slightly favored with -3.5 .The same line they had last game that they loss by 11 points. At the first two games, I thought the series would be over in 4 or max 5, but things have changed now, the momentum has shifted to the Magnolia Hotshots, and winning next game could put the SMB on a tough situation. We might still see Fajardo but he might not be 100%.

According to reports, there's a chance that Junmar will be sidelined tomorrow which is the Game 5 of the PBA Finals. If Junmar will not play, it is a great opportunity for the Magnolia to take the Game 5 and secure a 3-2 lead against the San Miguel.

Fajardo's absence may cause a big impact on the San Miguel and this may change the trajectory of the series. Magnolia should capitalize on this game as they are looking forward for that 3rd win.

Magnolia should continue the using the formula they used on winning the last two games. If magnolia manage to win this game, this will take some pressure out of them as they are ahead of one game.

On the other hand, if San Miguel manage to win this one without JMF. It will give Junmar enough rest to finish it at game 7.

Where do you think Dinwiddie will end up? He was traded to the Raptors in exchange for Schroeder, but ended up getting waived by the Raptors after he was traded there. He was seen in the Dallas Mavericks game, where the Mavericks faced the New York Knicks. He was also at the Laker game versus the New Orleans Pelicans. He was sitting beside the Lakers' GM, Rob Pelinka. Dinwiddie went to the locker rooms of both teams (the Lakers and Mavs), according to the reports. Sources say that Dinwiddie is leaning toward signing with the Mavs, as he played there from 2021 until 2023. But with the recent comments of D'Lo in his post-game interview, he said that "y'all will get to know him soon." Is that a sign that Dinwiddie will sign with the Lakers?

Regardless of what team he signs, he is a great boost on offense, especially if he is on the bench. But for me, I would like him to sign with the Lakers. With the absence of Gabe Vincent, Dinwiddie is a good replacement for him. It is much better to have nothing. Also, it is just a small risk for the Lakers, as they did not give up any of their assets just to get him. He also played with D'Lo way back when Russell was still in the nets, so I think chemistry won't be an issue here.
154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: While placing bet what comes your mind on: February 09, 2024, 11:36:48 AM
That is how gambling works. Especially if you always lose, you tend to get greedy and try to recover all the money you lost. Gambling wants you to get greedy; it wants you to think more; it wants you to crave more winnings. Well, yes, if you win, it is great for you because you gain a lot of money, but what if you don't win? You will have nothing.

That is why you need to have control over yourself; you should have discipline when gambling. Gamble what you can afford to lose, and yes, wagering more money can give you a good amount of profit, but don't do that. There are no sure wins in gambling; always play "low bet, high odds." It won't cost you that much because you are just gambling with a small amount of money.
155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 09, 2024, 11:08:37 AM
I can't believe the Lakers loss to the Nuggets with a big margin. They were able to come back in the 2nd half, they even tied the game but that 10-0 run by the Nuggets destroyed their morale. Not the result the fans are expecting, as it was the night to give tribute to Kobe Bryant.

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10108585-video-kobe-bryant-statue-unveiled-pays-tribute-to-lakers-legends-81-point-game

I can't believe I bet on this team, they haven't change still, they are still dominated by the Nuggets.

Yeah, it's tough to see the Lakers lose once again to the Nuggets. It's been a six-game losing streak since the Western Conference Finals. But the lead is not that big; it's just 8 points. Lakers make it close in the end; Nuggets did a run, and Lakers just can't keep up. I think that is winnable if the Lakers are healthy. Some of the key players in the Lakers are injured, like DLo (he was probable before the game; idk what happened why he did not play), Vanderbilt, and Reddish, who can provide some good defense. Gabe Vincent can provide scoring off the bench, as can Max Christie, who was injured in the game when he twisted his ankle.

Lakers is just not healthy most of the season. I think that is why they are in the play-in spot for the playoffs. They are not at their full potential. With no trades happening for the Lakers this deadline, let us see where the Lakers will finish this season.
156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Selling a property to play gamble on: February 08, 2024, 02:36:42 PM
That is really sad and unfortunate. Just to satisfy your itch and eagerness to gamble, you will sell some of your assets. Which, in the first place, can help you earn more money than gambling? That car can be rented out to give you passive income. It is much better to have properties like that than to gamble every day. Gambling causes too much stress if you are gambling with money that is valuable.

Have you ever sold a property to play gamble and afterwards finds it difficult to replace that same property again?

For this one, I technically did not sell a property just to use for gambling. But I did use some of my savings to try gambling. I just thought that I would discover an easy way to use gambling as a passive income. But ended up losing. Well, I guess there is no sure bet in gambling. It is a lesson learned for me, and I will not do it again (or maybe not, lol).
157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: February 08, 2024, 02:02:23 PM
My today's parlay was ruined by the LA Clippers and the Kings. I didn't expect them to get beaten at their home court. Especially the Kings, who are playing against the Pistons. The Pistons! Maybe the worst team in the league right now. Fox getting outplayed by third-year player Jaden Ivey is such pain in the eyes. Ivey scored 19 of his career-high 37 points in the fourth quarter, and with that monster performance, they stunned the Kings 133-120. Well, I guess Sabonis and Fox shouldn't have been all-stars this season after all.

On the other hand, the Clippers' first seed didn't last long as they got beaten in their homecourt too. The Pelicans beat the Clippers 106-117.

These two games are the ones that I think should have been easy wins. But the opposite happened.
158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 07, 2024, 09:05:34 AM
^^ Chemistry is slowly building up with the Suns big 3, and it's scary to see that each of them can score almost 30 points each in every game. Teams might have one good perimeter defender, but in this case, the Bucks have good one like Crowder or Portis or even Pat Connaughton, but it was not enough as Beal just bully himself against Payne and giving us the too small gesture. The Bucks played without star guard Damian Lillard though, who missed the game with a sprained ankle, and starting center Brook Lopez, was out for personal reasons. And for those who are asking, Milwaukee fell to 1-4 since hiring coach Doc Rivers so you can just make your own conclusion if that is a good move to hire him or not.

I don't really see the reason why they fired Adrian Griffin. Even if it is a locker room issue, Griffin can't handle his players, or the players don't want him to be the coach, they are still winning with him as the coach. Those problems can be solved internally; they should work them out; they are professionals for a reason.

Since Doc is already there, Bucks just needs to be committed to this decision. With 1-4 standing with him as a coach, I think the bucks are still adjusting to a new system with Doc. A new system and a new head coach are hard, especially when the hiring is in the middle of the season. Also, in those 5 games, they are missing some key players, Damian Lillard and Brook Lopez. Maybe a little bit of bad luck is also on their side.

But speaking of adjustments, just look at the Clippers right now. Currently, they are the number one seed. But when James arrives for the first time in the team, They are on a 5-game losing streak. But now, they are at the top of the Western Conference. Let's see if the Buck can turn things around.
159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Older men vs Younger boys in gambling, Which enjoys Gambling for fun the more? on: February 07, 2024, 08:28:25 AM
For me, older men tend to enjoy gambling more because. First, I think that they are financially stable, and for sure, they also have their savings with them. So whenever they lose, it is okay for them; they won't be frustrated when they lose. They can bet freely because they have the money with them. Also, I think the experience that they gained when they were younger affects them today. They are more mature and disciplined when they bet. They are not chasing money anymore; they just bet for fun.

In the case of the younger bettors, I think they can still bet for fun, but I do think it really depends on their money or financial capability. But most of the younger bettors tend to bet or gamble because they are building for the future. So it is really hard to gamble for fun. Especially if they always lose. So they need to take a break for some time and calculate the risk when they bet.
160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The scam of FAKE fixed matches on: February 06, 2024, 02:35:59 PM
This type of scam will just fall for the newbie bettors or the ones that are desperate to win. By looking at this, it is too good to be true. If things are too good to be true, then doubt them and don't try them. Besides, why would they look for bettors to encourage them to bet on their "fixed match" if they can bet on their own because it is a fixed match? They just want to encourage a lot of people, scam them, and take profit from them.

But yes, there are several instances of fixed matches. Like the ones in the CBA where two teams were disqualified from the on-going season. According to a report, CBA specifically did not use the term "match-fixing" but instead "passive playing." But it's still the same: you're playing passively because you want the other team to win.

But still, availing of these fixed matches is a risk, and I do not recommend it. Do your own research on a particular game, and trust your skills and instincts. Do not believe in these so-called fixed matches.
