141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [POOL]BulwarkPool.com - [BWK][VIVO][ALTCOINS][HIGHT] on: February 09, 2018, 12:03:01 AM
No solution ? too small to pay Huh

I saw hashraffinery has the same problem.

Uniming stoped VIVO pool more than one month with a similary problem

VIVO Team exists or not Huh? I'm not sure that there is a team behind this coin. Several neoscrypt wallet seems the same interface rebranded.
I'm very worry about several neoscrypts coins like CRC, DSR, INN, GBX and others that i forgot !

Failure to respond or communicate will not improve the situation of the pool that is not very used.

Too bad, I was happy so far, but it seems that the managers do not want to make a move.

I just saw that the 0.5 VIVBO I had in unpaid yesterday were erased .... radical but not responsible

Post a message on your pool page would be at least the minimum!

Be carefull in Mining VIVO coin, i mine it but it seems that his blockchain is pericliting or desynchronize on severals pools.

If you are minning VIVO, Please let US a Message to tell everyone where is the good blockchain.

Because of this désynchonized VIVO blockchain, i prbably loose 0.5 Vivo ...even if bulwarkpool.com confims all blocks it mine on the wrong blockchain. But i think it's not a good solution to resolve.

I just saw thant hashraffinery seems to have the same problem but i'm not sure because they don't precise tha coins they are desynchronized

Please tell everyone what pool your are using.

whattomine has just added Innova Coin to the possible coin selection in its comprarative list.
If you want to add it to your WTM_SWITCHER list, it's still easy:

To add Innova (INN) (Neoscrypt) to the selection of cryptocurrency in 1bash script file and therefore also in the WTM switch:

1 / Find TZC Variables in 1bash file (just below the VIVO variables, you will copy / paste as a template Under TZC lines):

Code:
# Innova (INN)
# ## No Need to add add stratum+tcp:// to server address
INN_WORKER="$WORKERNAME"
INN_ADDRESS="INN_Wallet_Address" # Donwnload InnovaCoin Wallet and Blockchain to obtain an address, avoid mining on cryptopia address
INN_POOL="pool.unimining.net" # 0.5% pool fee, Yiimp type Pool
INN_PORT="4235"
INN_PWD="c=INN"
INN_INTENSITY="17"

Add this below to the 0miner script file (in the same way below the command to launch the TZC ccminer and you can copy TZC but be careful to replace TZC_ by INN_ in the whole command):
Code:
	if [ $COIN == "INN" ]
then
HCD='/home/m1/KTccminer/ccminer'
ADDR="$INN_ADDRESS.$INN_WORKER"
screen -dmSL miner $HCD -a neoscrypt -o stratum+tcp://$INN_POOL:$INN_PORT -u $ADDR -p $INN_PWD -i $INN_INTENSITY
fi

At the end of 1 bash file, you can also add INN coin in ALGO_SPECIFIC_OC section, Like This :

Code:
if [ $ALGO_SPECIFIC_OC == "YES" ]
then
  # Neoscrypt
  if [ $COIN == "FTC" -o $COIN == "ORB" -o $COIN == "PXC" -o $COIN == "VIVO" -o $COIN == "TZC" -o $COIN == "GBX" -o $COIN == "CRC" -o $COIN == "INN" -o $COIN == "DSR" -o $COIN == "NICE-NEOSCRYPT" ]
  then
    ALGORITHM="NEOSCRYPT"
    POWERLIMIT_WATTS=80
    __CORE_OVERCLOCK=150
    MEMORY_OVERCLOCK=800
  fi

Don't mine directly to Cryptopia Wallet Address because if Maintenance on INN Blockchain, cryptopia will be slow to reput online a wallet, and you risk to mine in the void for all  the time cryptopia INN wallet could be offline or désynchronised of official Blockchain.
Download their smaller wallet. There is a portable wallet for windows users.
https://innovacoin.info/#wallets

To consult your pool balance :
https://www.unimining.net/?address=INN_Wallet Address

You can mine INN on other pools :
http://www.zpool.ca/site/mining => 2% pool fee
http://pool.hashrefinery.com/ => 1.25% pool fee
https://altminer.net/ => 0.9% fee
https://www.lycheebit.com/ => 1% fee

More pools on their webpage, I do not have all consulted :

144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [OS] nvOC easy-to-use Linux Nvidia Mining v0019-1.4 on: February 07, 2018, 11:44:39 PM
Hey guys, not sure where to put this, and this seems like the most logical place.  Mods please correct if it's an issue.  I have been using NVOC 19-1.4 for about a month and a half with 13x 1060's on an asrock h110 and the WTM profit switching.  I have added some coins including bitcoin gold and am somewhat familiar with the code but i'm not a programmer so please forgive any ignorance.  I attempted to add Verge-lyra2rev2 and while i am able to get it to mine successfully on ccminer, I am unable to differentiate between the different algos using the WTM profit switching.  It seems to always return the lowest XVG coin on WTM instead of the lyra2rev2 version.  My question is in papampi's screipt is there any way to specify something other than just the tag (XVG), but to use the coin id (207) to pull profit data on multi algo coins.  This would also be useful for coins like myriad.

Thanks in advance,

Ryansgt
Hi Ryansgt,
I had the same problem trying to mine XVG with lyra2rev2. The solution that I use, is to exclude the Groestl algorythm from Whattomine.com. You do that by clicking the "Groestl" button (that switch from blue to gray) excluding it.
You just plug the new JSON what to mine URL in 1bash and you are ready to go.

Unless you are mining a Groestl coin (highly unlikely since in general they are not very profitable), it should be a painless solution.

Yep, that's the best way going forward, we never expected this sort of deadlock, like a coin using multiple algos.

There should be a way of dealing with it but what you suggested is the easiest way for now.

Yes, disabling groestl in WTM URL that you put in 1bash was also my solution that i proposed in my post here :
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1157121;sa=showPosts;start=20

But i think it would be possible to filter multi-algo XVG coins like nicehash multi-algo added.
simply add one or two lines of code in forked python script papampi.

Here is what I propose :
Search this section in the python script :

Code:
# filter WTM coins by user selection only
for i in reversed (data):
     if i ["tag"] == "NICEHASH":
        i ["tag"] = "NICE-" + i ["algorithm"]. upper ()

for i in reversed (data):
     if i ["tag"] not in includedCoins:
        data.remove (i)

with adding XVG in WTM_SWITCHER python script

Code:
# filter WTM coins by user selection only
for i in reversed (data):
     if i ["tag"] == "NICEHASH":
        i ["tag"] = "NICE-" + i ["algorithm"]. upper ()
    if i ["tag"] == "Verge":
        i ["tag"] = "Verge-" + i ["algorithm"]. upper ()

for i in reversed (data):
     if i ["tag"] not in includedCoins:
        data.remove (i)
Of course, you will also have to modify 0miner minning command script file accordingly and also 1bash config file to update  parameters of coin XVG and OC_SPECIFIC_ALGO section too.

I think if you're familiar with code you'll be able to do it all.
You just have to take model on added nicehash-algo coins for other scripts files.

This is a propsition that I have not tested myself because I also think, as damnmad, that groestl is not profitable and therefore it is easier to disable it.

I have currently disabled the minning of XVG because of the sharp fall of recent days. Everything that was below 50,000 satochis was removed from my list of coin in WTM. So, suddenly I found myself mining ETH several times in recent days with using of WTM profit switch.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / [OS] nvOC easy-to-use Linux Nvidia Mining v0019-1.4 on: February 07, 2018, 12:24:07 AM
@papampi

1/ I just update my miners by using your script update of the dédicated thread on btctalk thread.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1854250.msg29101637#msg29101637
I had some problems. I explain myself.
I propose some modifications in directory miners arboresence to simplify updating miners manually for all (including Linux newbies) :
I made theses modifications myself on my nvOC v19-2.0 and i'm not great experienced like you or stubo or leenoox.

I think it's more easy for anyone to copy or replace in a directory named [latest] for all miners where there is only miners binaries files (and their necessarily librairies), than to make a new directory for each version and modify 0miner and 3main file and ...etc But you can make some little complex scripts that permit to keep old miners if necesary
So i propose to make one directoty for [olds] versions, and one directory for [latests].

Like this
/home/m1/miners/olds/{directory name of miner}/version/
for old versions of miners, and
like this for latest versions of miners :
/home/m1/miners/latest/{directory name of miner}/*

More details of what i propose on this image :

https://imgur.com/Vx36BhM

2/ It's not the first time, I had to compile these three miners this evenning :

    KTccminer
    NAccminer (with bignum error...)
    TPccminer (i'm not sur about bignum because i don't hand over ssl librarie in his place yet)

In addition, i

read a lot of time that it's preferable to compile on your own machine than to download from anyone who compile it on his own too.

So i propose you add compilations of theses minning softwares by default in your miners update scripts.
What do you think about this proposition ?

3/ For updating miners softwares, i think you should make a master script that calls each individuals scripts for each miners.

4/ I modify Pasc dierctory because when i test miner, i see it's nicehash sgminer version. So i called it sgminer-nicehash

To summarize :
1/ Big modifications of directories for miners (30 min)
2/ Adding compilation in update script for theses 3 miners i quote above.
3/ Master update script calls each miner individual update script
4/ Renaming pasc folder in his real name.

Continue your good job to make nvOC a real good alternative for mining than ETHos which claim money or fees.

I knew you were going to respond to those who want to "pay" for your good but heavy and long scripting work.

I do not understand why they ask elsewhere, they seem not to see your crypto address in the scripts ... If they want they can give on these addresses. I imagine many others give without saying anything and that's fine. Finally, I hope for you ...

Having some more issues with the SALFTER_MPH switching setup.
When a Equihash or Ethash algo is determined to be the most profitable all is well.
Occasionally when a different algo is picked the miner crashes and shuts down after a while.
I am almost never watching the terminal at that time but decided to do some testing of the miner start lines in 3main to see if I could find the problem.

First problem I find is I cannot get the skein algo to start properly.
This is what my test command line looks like:
Code:
/home/m1/ASccminer/ccminer -a skein -x stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:12016 -u username.test -p x

And this is the resulting failure:
Code:
*** ccminer alexis-1.0 for nVidia GPUs from alexis78@github ***
*** Built with the nVidia CUDA Toolkit 8.0 (Not recommended prefer 7.5)

*** Based on tpruvot@github ccminer
*** Originally based on Christian Buchner and Christian H. project
*** Include some of the work of djm34, sp, tsiv and klausT.

[2018-02-05 12:39:28] Starting on stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:12016
[2018-02-05 12:39:28] NVML GPU monitoring enabled.
[2018-02-05 12:39:28] 1 miner thread started, using 'skein' algorithm.
[2018-02-05 12:39:28] Stratum authentication failed
[2018-02-05 12:39:28] ...retry after 30 seconds

Every algo in 3main I try this type test with seems to have a Stratum problem.
I have a valid username that I am using successfully with non-switching mining on MPH so I do not believe that is the issue.
I'm still working on it but thought asking for help was also wise.  Smiley

I think your test line should be :

Code:
/home/m1/ASccminer/ccminer -a skein -o stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:17016 -u username.test -p x

-o for server address and 17xxx for port

@fk1: no sudo needed  to edit 1bash

You are correct . That was one of my last attempts that also failed.
So when I test using your line I get:

[2018-02-05 14:52:45] Starting on stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:17016
[2018-02-05 14:52:45] NVML GPU monitoring enabled.
[2018-02-05 14:52:45] 1 miner thread started, using 'skein' algorithm.
Illegal instruction

And at that point the miner fails back to the command line.

TRy /home/m1/TPccminer/ccminer fior minning skein algo.

When i search "skein" in 0miner script, i found these lines for DGB :

Code:
if [ $COIN == "DGB" ]
then
HCD='/home/m1/TPccminer/ccminer'
ADDR="$DGB_ADDRESS"
screen -dmSL miner $HCD -a skein -o stratum+tcp://$DGB_POOL:$DGB_PORT -u $ADDR -p $MINER_PWD -i $DGB_INTENSITY
fi

and theses lines for ZPOOL_SKEIN

Code:
if [ $COIN == "ZPOOL_SKEIN" ]
then
HCD='/home/m1/ASccminer/ccminer'
screen -dmSL miner $HCD -a skein -o stratum+tcp://$ZPOOL_SKEIN_POOL:$ZPOOL_SKEIN_PORT -u $BTC_ADDRESS -p $MINER_PWD -i $ZPOOL_SKEIN_INTENSITY
fi

You can Also try all minning softwares and tell us which is the best for minning skein and for sure submit modifications for minning skein Algo.

Or simply try lower OC settings for mémory first and for CPU at last. be carefull with power too

Adding/replacing Vericoin coin (and VeRiumMiner) for CPU mining ONLY

More explanations about ASIC and GPU resistant Vericoin coin here :
Steemit : https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@jonipilo/verium-and-vericoin-the-most-profitabale-altcoin-to-mine
BTCTALK thread : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1540023.0

I'm skeptical because VRC coin is scrypt algorithm so i don't understand why it's not mineable with ASIC L3+ miner (but it seems to use scrypt² not really scrypt). This miner was asked in the tthread (by bumbu100), so i propose some code to mine it on nvOC.

I think papampi and leenoox or damnmad can propose more complex conditionnal loop for testing if you choose XMR or VRC for CPU minning but i'm not sure if it's really a good choice or idea. So i let them to decide if we have to implement a conditionnel loop for this.

Note : What I propose to modify here induces that you will not be able to mine monero with the CPU, but you can always do it with the GPU  by the other program xmr-stak-Gpu. You must be aware of this implication before you start modifying the 3main script.

1/ Download and unzip dedicated cpuminer fork : https://github.com/fireworm71/veriumMiner/releases/download/v1.4/cpuminer_1.4_linux_x64_O2_GCC7.zip
or
compile it from source : https://github.com/fireworm71/veriumMiner
(remmember ./autogen.sh; ./configure.sh; ./build.sh to compile the miner for your own system)

2/ Place it in /home/m1/VeRiumMiner (so, you have to move it and rename his directory in /home/m1 to have the same path like in the code below)

3/ Find plusCPU section in 3main script bash file (line 290 for me in nvOC 19-2.0):

Code:
if [ $plusCPU == "YES" ] && [ $AUTO_START_MINER == "YES" ]
then
  HCD='/home/m1/cpuOPT/cpuminer'
  XMRADDR="$XMR_ADDRESS.$XMR_WORKER"
  echo ""
  echo ""
  echo "LAUNCHING:  plusCPU"
  if grep cpuminer |grep -v grep |wc -l` -eq 0
  then
    if [ $LOCALorREMOTE == "LOCAL" ]
    then
      guake -n $HCD -r plusCPU -e "$HCD -a cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://$XMR_POOL:$XMR_PORT -u $XMRADDR -p x -t $threadCOUNT"
    else
      screen -dmS plusCPU $HCD -a cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://$XMR_POOL:$XMR_PORT -u $XMRADDR -p x -t $threadCOUNT
    fi
    echo ""
    echo "plusCPU process in guake terminal Tab (f12)"
    echo ""
    running=""
  fi

  4/ replace code above with :

Code:
if [ $plusCPU == "YES" ] && [ $AUTO_START_MINER == "YES" ]
then
  HCD='/home/m1/VeRiumMiner/cpuminer'
  VRCADDR="$VRC_ADDRESS.$VRC_WORKER"
  echo ""
  echo ""
  echo "LAUNCHING:  plusCPU"
  if grep cpuminer |grep -v grep |wc -l` -eq 0
  then
    if [ $LOCALorREMOTE == "LOCAL" ]
    then
      guake -n $HCD -r plusCPU -e "$HCD -o stratum+tcp://$VRC_POOL:$VRC_PORT -u $VRCADDR -p $VRC_PWD -t $threadCOUNT"
    else
      screen -dmS plusCPU $HCD -a cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://$VRC_POOL:$VRC_PORT -u $VRCADDR -p $VRC_PWD -t $threadCOUNT
    fi
    echo ""
    echo "plusCPU process in guake terminal Tab (f12)"
    echo ""
    running=""
  fi

 5/ Add this in 1bash at the end of indivuduals coins :

Code:
# VERICOIN (VRC)
  # ## No Need to add add stratum+tcp:// to server address
VRC_WORKER="$WORKERNAME" # WorkerName  : remember that you have to create it in your account pool page !
VRC_ADDRESS="YourWebloginPool" # Local Wallet Address
VRC_POOL="vrm.n3rd3d.com" # 1% pool fee
VRC_PORT="3332" # It depnds on your CPU Core (see the pool page to use the best port for you)
VRC_PWD="x"

VeRiumMiner use all thread avalilable on your CPU by default but you can specify how much threads at the begenning of 1bash file with this variable between plusCPU and CONTROL_GPU_LED :

Code:
threadCOUNT="1"             # Number of CPU threads to use for plusCPU mining. Please check how many threads your CPU has.

Not tested on my rig but i test minning with typing manually the commands and it works on nvOC. I compile myself but i think pre-compiled file is ok.
It should be verified that the cpuminer that is already installed in nvOC does not allow to directly undermine this crypto currency. I did not do it either.

Happy minning Vericoin !

Anychance of adding timetravel algo?

Give us leads and make sure that the mining software installed on nvOC is not enough. It seems to me that one of the software allows to hash this algo. But I'm not sure.

It seemed to me that someone had asked for another coin (BTX). I made a search in the forum search engine to find a post that talks about.
You can see below that the ccminer forked of tpruvot allows you to mine two algo timetravel

Sometimes I think that's the reason fullzero left his own project and maybe we should do the same too.
Just write for ourselves and use as it suits us ...

It is disturbing what you are writing here papampi. I understand what you mean and I think the tone used by some here is a bit too high.

I wanted to talk about the ethmon program revisited by osnwt and that seemed to interest leenoox as much as you.

The code and the program are available on github, would not it be enough to recover it for version 19-2.1?

Anychance of adding timetravel algo?

Give us leads and make sure that the mining software installed on nvOC is not enough. It seems to me that one of the software allows to hash this algo. But I'm not sure.

First of all I should thank you for your nice tone... and sorry for nicehash bugs in 1bash, as I said its a pre-release, and usually they have bugs.
I had no intentions of adding Nicehash to my wtm switch as I dont use nicehash but after many users asked for it I followed @CryptAtomeTrader44 instructions on it, and he said that "NICE_" should be changed to "NICE-" in coin name for it to work.

So if you have a fix for it please let us know.

Thanks.
Pap.

Yes, I wrote that there are some post of that.
hurvajs77 had to read it in two or three of my posts a few weeks ago when nicehash returned online after their December BTC hack.

I also had problems with the implementation of these crypto currencies nicehash algo displayed in the list of WTM ...
In fact, I had to review all the 0miner script to check the conditional loops "If" and "fi" I did not notice where I found that it was missing, but what is certain c After doing this, I did not have any more problems with nicehash-algo.
Without this operation, I was entitled to an empty line in the terminal window. He detected that it was nicehash thanks to the python scripts, but did not launch the mining command. As if he did not find it ...

Finally, I asked to replace the underscore in the forked script python papampi because the site WTM uses a dash and not an underscore, which implies that if I want to see the nicehash-algo years the list WTM that recovers that script, I have to put dashes.

Another change request that I made is to change the BTC address used for Nicehash commands to undermine their multi-algo cooperative.
Indeed, nicehash generates its own BTC addresses associated with our accounts nicehash online and therefore you can not directly mine to any BTC address of another site (exchange) or wallet
So I myself replaced this variable in the commands to mine nicehash-algo in NICEHASH_BTC_ADDRESS which is a BTC address for the internal auto exchange on their site, but which can not be a BTC address external to their site and has our personal account.

If this is not clear, do not hesitate to explain what is problematic.

I already made the change as your request and added it in 1bash 19-2.1 pre release :

Code:
NICE_ADDRESS="$NICEHASH_BTC_ADDRESS"

Yes, so it's not a problem, but NICEHASH_BTC_ADDRESS must be in 1bash file of course.

I have not made this update to version 19-2.1 yet

Another thing: I wanted to know what happened to this story of a guy who had posted and which he proposed to share the source of his code with us although he develloped for him initially.

Leenoox had asked him to share his code with graphics and statistics but I do not know if he did something ...

I've some useful tools for switching, monitoring etc and now doesn't works now.

Can you share these useful tools with us ?

You can not complain that your tools developed for you and by you are no longer operational if you have not shared them and that papampi offers code constantly updated. If it does not have the code, it can not accommodate your changes.

And what are your tools so useful for?

Please explain and share your tools and knowleges with the community please.

VeriumMiner Linux Binaries: https://github.com/fireworm71/veriumMiner/releases/download/v1.4/cpuminer_1.4_linux_x64_O2_GCC7.zip
Sources: https://github.com/fireworm71/veriumMiner
syntax: ./cpuminer -o stratum+tcp://eu.vrm.mining-pool.ovh:3032 -u Weblogin.WorkerName -p WorkerPassword

Well that's enough to easily add the minor and modify the mining of Monero with this minor.

Just a question about your Monero miner: You say you are using a virtualization server equipped with 2 Xeon 8 Hearts. But it is known that servers of this type also have large amounts of memories. So your mining software may be better at using RAM.
Cryptonight is also known to be a heavy consumer algorithm of RAM.
How many RAM have your machine ?

[/quote]

Verium is CPU only. I have 16GB RAM available.
Thank you so much.
[/quote]

I think you have to modufy this part of 3main script file code :
Code:
if [ $plusCPU == "YES" ] && [ $AUTO_START_MINER == "YES" ]
then
  HCD='/home/m1/cpuOPT/cpuminer'
  XMRADDR="$XMR_ADDRESS.$XMR_WORKER"
  echo ""
  echo ""
  echo "LAUNCHING:  plusCPU"
  if grep cpuminer |grep -v grep |wc -l` -eq 0
  then
    if [ $LOCALorREMOTE == "LOCAL" ]
    then
      guake -n $HCD -r plusCPU -e "$HCD -a cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://$XMR_POOL:$XMR_PORT -u $XMRADDR -p x -t $threadCOUNT"
    else
      screen -dmS plusCPU $HCD -a cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://$XMR_POOL:$XMR_PORT -u $XMRADDR -p x -t $threadCOUNT
    fi
    echo ""
    echo "plusCPU process in guake terminal Tab (f12)"
    echo ""
    running=""
  fi

Code:
  HCD='/home/m1/cpuOPT/cpuminer'
needs to be modified if you replace cpuOPT by verminer.
I will test your miner.

You must add the pools and port parameters too in 1bash.

EDIT, arf, I did not understand that you wanted to mine verium (VRM) with algo Scrypt! I thought you wanted to mine monero (XMR) because you wanted to replace the minor CPU OPT that undermines cryptonight as it is configured in nvOC scripts ... I only realized that when I wanted to register me on one of the pool proposed on the page of your pool which 'no longer accepts registrations.

And suddenly, everything becomes simpler. Just add a section with the mining controls.

On the other hand, there is something else that escapes me: why do you want to undermine scrypt with CPUs, even servers packed with ram in front of ASICs?
This crypto is ASIC compatible and in my opinion it would be much more profitable to mine with Bitmain's machines ... like the L3+ if I remember correctly.
But maybe this crypto currency has implemented ASIC blocking of which I am not aware?

I think these questions deserve answers to be sure you have understood that nvOC is much less powerful for GPU minning than a single ASIC on algo scrypt.

Sorry for giving you false hope ;-)
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [OS] nvOC easy-to-use Linux Nvidia Mining v0019-1.4 on: February 01, 2018, 11:31:19 PM

I have a different plan of handling this c=COIN_NAME, doing some tests will share it once I have a working one.

Thanks.

I am interested in your implementation because it makes me more and more difficult to have a single password for all minors. the famous vaiable $ MINER_PWD.
Indeed, as you point out, many altcoins of WTM can be mined interestingly only on yiimp type server pools that requires to set the crypto currency in the password. Until I had rather preferred to do the opposite (add a variable COINNAME_PWD in 1bash), but it is clear that it is not optimal!

So I'm curious to know how you solved this problem.

What are the minings commands for example ?

Propose something to modify scripts files like 0miner and/or 1bash by trying to copy another command from another miner.

your request in the state we can not answer it if you do not bring us a little information and that we are obliged to seek it in your place whereas it is you who asks this software that nobody here does not seem know.

Is this miner more efficient than XMR Stack CPU ?

In addition, XMR difficulty has become very difficult to sustain in recent weeks. Until the outbreak of BTC (and also ALTcoins) in December, the difficulty allowed really profitable mining with CPU or few GPU, but since this peak of BTC, it is really hard and continue to clim highly and rapidly.

One more effort, you registered, and put a question on this thread, you can also push the scmilblick  and we will look at your asks.

Yes, is a few times better than XMR, especially if you have CPU with AES instructions set. I've got $70/month with one  ESXI VM machine with 70% 2x8Core Xeon CPU.

I think you will have papampi or Leenoox replies with this information, otherwise, I could make you a simplified modification proposal that would not necessarily be the best by filling in one by the other. But I think it's better to keep the two miners in the same way as EWBF and ZM Miner.This requires a little more modifications and "complexity" in the commands to launch and test.

EDIT : did you know if this miner is able to mine with GPU ? Beacause XMR STAK GPU is flawlessy efficient.

How to add crowdcoin (neoscrypt) in this release (v0019-2.0)?

whattomine has just added the crowdcoin to the possible coin selection in its comprarative list.
If you want to add it to your WTM_SWITCHER list, it's still easy:

To add CrowdCoin(CRC) (Neoscrypt) to the selection of cryptocurrency in 1bash script file and therefore also in the WTM switch:

1 / Find TZC Variables in 1bash file (just below the VIVO variables, you will copy / paste as a template Under TZC lines):

Code:
# CrowdCoin (CRC)
# ## No Need to add add stratum+tcp:// to server address
CRC_WORKER="$WORKERNAME"
CRC_ADDRESS="CRC_Wallet_Address" # Donwnload CrowdCoin Wallet and Blockchain to obtain an address, avoid mining on cryptopia address
CRC_POOL="pool.unimining.net" # 0.5% pool fee, Yiimp Pool
CRC_PORT="4238"
CRC_PWD="c=CRC"
CRC_INTENSITY="17"

Add this below to the 0miner script file (in the same way below the command to launch the TZC ccminer (and you can copy TZC but be careful to replace TZC_ by CRC_ in the whole command):
Code:
	if [ $COIN == "CRC" ]
then
HCD='/home/m1/KTccminer/ccminer'
ADDR="$CRC_ADDRESS.$CRC_WORKER"
screen -dmSL miner $HCD -a neoscrypt -o stratum+tcp://$CRC_POOL:$CRC_PORT -u $ADDR -p $CRC_PWD -i $CRC_INTENSITY
fi

At the end of 1 bash file, you can also add CRC coin in ALGO_SPECIFIC_OC section, Like This :

Code:
if [ $ALGO_SPECIFIC_OC == "YES" ]
then
  # Neoscrypt
  if [ $COIN == "FTC" -o $COIN == "ORB" -o $COIN == "PXC" -o $COIN == "VIVO" -o $COIN == "TZC" -o $COIN == "GBX" -o $COIN == "CRC" -o $COIN == "NICE-NEOSCRYPT" ]
  then
    ALGORITHM="NEOSCRYPT"
    POWERLIMIT_WATTS=80
    __CORE_OVERCLOCK=150
    MEMORY_OVERCLOCK=800
  fi

Don't mine directly to Cryptopia Wallet Address because if Maintenance on CRC Blockchain, cryptopia will be slow to reput online a wallet, and you risk to mine in the void for all  the time cryptopia CRC wallet would be offline.
Download their smaller wallet. There is a portable wallet for windows users.

To consult your pool balance :
https://www.unimining.net/?address=CRC_Wallet Address

You can mine CRC on other pools :
http://www.zpool.ca/site/mining => 2% pool fee
http://pool.hashrefinery.com/ => 1.25% pool fee
https://altminer.net/ => 0.9% fee

More pools on their webpage, I do not have all consulted :

Thats exactly what Leenoox says to use Lubuntu or some thing lighter.
But I think changing OS needs fullzero consent and its not our place to fully change his OS.

Ubuntu 18.04 is coming in less than 3 months
lets see how it works with gnome-desktop and new kernels, and hopefully fullzero will show up till then too.

Quote
nvOC boots in less than a minute and I dont see any reason to migrate from it and go for lubuntu or any thing else when ubuntu has the most users and many are familiar with it.

Only reducing the weight of the image for first. That will facilitate downloading and flashing. This reduced weight would permit smaller USB KEY too.

As was mentioned above by another contributor, a script that will be added to a normal version of ubuntu would be largely superficial. Not necessarily need to download a complete system as currently. It would suffice to say that it must install these scripts packages on ubuntu VIRGIN

For Fullzero, will we see him coming back one day?
Nothing is less sure.

I know we've already talked about all this, but the more time passes and the more difficult it is to continue without giving you access to you and other coders like Leenoox and Stubo or others I probably forget . You can not even edit the description of the thread and readers are forced to type in the entire thread to understand what is happening. Not really optimized all that.

I'm just a user, but I still read posts that say they downloaded version 19-1.4 instead of yours.

Ubuntu is heavyweight OS and it's desktop Unity is nothing but trouble. Even Ubuntu is abandoning Unity in its next release and are switching to Gnome which is even heavier (but more stable). I doubt we need a full featured desktop environment for mining purposes. Why carry all that heavy and resource hungry desktop environment when we don't really need it.

If we want to stay within the Ubuntu ecosystem my proposal was to switch to Lubuntu which is using LXDE desktop which is much lighter and less resource hungry than Ubuntu's Unity. But... Lubuntu is switching from LXDE to LXQT in the next release in few months which is even greater and doesn't make sense to build, apply tweaks and optimize it when in few months will change its core system.

We are stuck at crossroad with Ubuntu and its derivatives (Lubuntu) at the moment as major changes and new LTS versions are coming in 3 months time, not worth the effort to rebuild nvoc on a new base Ubuntu system now.

On the other hand, as my opinion is not very favorable towards any Ubuntu (or derivative) as being built for masses and thus introduce features that create overhead and inherit bugs we don't really need in mining OS (Bluetooth, printers, sound, media), I am leaning towards building linux from scratch by using Manjaro Architect (Arch linux based) or start with plain Arch linux and add only what we need in the mining world (latest kernel for greater hardwer support, light desktop, compilers, script support, php, Perl, etc.), which will shed all junk and bloatware that comes with Ubuntu and will be extremely light, responsive and easy on resources.

In my opinion this would be natural progression of nvoc as we will transfer everything from nvoc into a new base system with the added benefits of better hardware support (latest kernel), security (latest software updates), compatibility with new miners (CUDA 9.1), stability, less resources, etc. The beauty of Arch linux is the use of rolling system which means there are no new releases, there are no releases and end of life, the system is always the latest, you can take years old image and will bring itself up as if it was installed today with all latest software and packages.

In my opinion this will not steer away from fullzero's beliefs or nvoc's open source way but will help us keep nvoc up to date with bleeding edge hardware support and up to date softwate.

I am not saying that this will be easy or can happen overnight. There is a lot of work to custom build Arch linux, apply tweaks and adapt nvoc's scripts to the new ecosystem but once it's done we will have rock solid mining OS without any bloatware that will have very small image to download and could probably use only few gigs of space.

If there's enough interest and positive feedback on this, I could start working on it Wink

I only used the ARCH LINUX system once and I was pleasantly surprised at the fluidity of my Raspberry v1.

As far as I am concerned, you have all my support, and I am willing to help you as I can, for example by testing what you will make available to us. If your image is on a 4 GB USB key then I think you will easily find a lot of testers.

With regard to CUDA 9.1, the pb seems to come from the develloppers of engineering sofware as ccminer. many versions have not moved for months, and others seem to evolve quickly and often like that of Klaust. I think it will be difficult to reconcile CUDA 8 and Cuda 9.1 in the same system.

I was actually thinking about Lubuntu, but from what you write there, enfochntion of the different evolutions of the two branches of ubuntu, it may not be worth it. not now anyway.

On the other hand, this is a huge project and if I want to make my contribution to the building, I'm not sure I have enough knowledge like you ...

Launch and tell us what is going on in a few weeks. 8 weeks can be to have a draft?
