I think that ICO's will still continue to grow in 2018.
As long as Bitcoin and ETH increase in value and the news reports on it, there are more and more people who will look for the next bitcoin through ICO's.

I would use My Ether Wallet as it is very easy to set up and great for 99% of all alt coins.

Have a look at Crowdholding. They have a working product since April, strong team and are at 87% towards their hardcap. I expect these guys to close the ICO by the end of the week. https://ico.crowdholding.com

I think it really depends on what the external factors impact the market such as governments and regulations. I feel if they leave it alone it will boom!
I don't think any investment is safe into anything not just into ICO's.
The best thing you can do is to research a lot about the company, the team and the concept. The most important thing is to ask if they actually need a alt coin or are they just dong it for an ICO.

It's very exciting I mean just look at ETH prices!
I have big hopes for alt coins this year.
Because how disruptive and revolutionary the technology is!
I can't wait to see how it can change everything in the foreseeable future.
I think it can, but we are talking in the long future.
I think we should just focus on ETH rather than comparing it to Bitcoin, as it doesn't help with anything. Remember Bitcoin has been around a lot longer.
I don't think it matters when because it will.
It also isn't something to be feared, the ecosystem needs to correct itself and it allows people to invest in the lows. It is just part of the system and you should get used to it.
I think it's not crypto trading that is addictive, but the act of making money / gambling.
Personally I really like the Crowdholding project and they listen to the crowd about issues and co-create with them.
They will have thought about this process and weighed up all the pros and cons and made the decision that is the best one.
This is normal, it is very volatile.
just hodl through it and keep the faith.
I am a firm believer in ETH, but I don't think it will overtake Bitcoin anytime soon. I can only see that happening if Bitcoin collapses astronomically.
Good luck with it man! I have never heard about backbytes but I wish you the best.
Please don't lock yourself away, I am sure there are plenty of people who love you and want to see you get better. It is easy to lock yourself away and also lock up your problems, but it isn't healthly.
I use it because it is the easiest and most effect wallet for Ethereum and ERC20 tokens.
I am still looking for a better system.
I don't think most ICO's are a scam, you just need to research.
I feel like you hear more about the scams than the good projects and that give ICO's a bad name.
I agree with this statement, altcoins are not for flipping to make a small profit but for holding onto in a project you believe in.
I would have a look at Crowdholding. Strong team behind it and they have a working product before they launched their ICO. https://ico.crowdholding.com
I am really liking this project and I have invested into them during the pre-ICO.
What drew me to them was the fact that they had a working product way before launching their ICO. People who are saying they it has no perceived value are completely ignoring the fact that they have a validated product which proves it has some value.
ICO's by their nature have no perceived value until they are in the market, nobody knows how well they will preform and an ICO can raise 100's of millions and fail.
If you want to be involved in a project and be successful look for projects like these who have a lower hard cap, show progress and have something that works.

Anyone kept an eye out on how the 3 are doing since this video? I would be interested to see the impact this has had since they all lack marketing.
That's a really good comment, would just like to see how much this effects it. Anyone noticed the difference from the other two? We have Crowdholding's increase. Anyone got the numbers? Crowdholding - 8% increase (33% altogether) Fortknoxster - Noticed they haven't started yet (3 months away) CommereceBlock - ? Currently at around 28% I also think that Crowdholding and Commerceblock have been really unlucky in the fact that November was very slow and now ETH is all over the place due to internet kitties.... Can't make this stuff up!
