141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO basics for Newbies on: January 08, 2018, 04:44:31 PM
Great information for people who are just learning about ICO's.

The big key is just to do your own research and ask a lot of questions at ICO's, it is the beauty of this forum!
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you picky with ICOs? on: January 08, 2018, 04:42:00 PM
I think if you want to make profit in ICO's you have to be very picky and do a lot of research.

There are so many now, that you need to separate the good ones from the bad ones.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ico best in 2018? on: January 08, 2018, 04:37:30 PM
I would look into Crowdholding.

They have a very strong team and a working platform since April, they just announced they have over 2,000 users already and the ICO hasn't even finished.

They also have a hard cap of 1 million and they are at 87%, so I expect them to close very soon.

Hope this helps on your quest to find some interesting ICO's!
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What questions should you ask on an ICO thread? on: January 08, 2018, 04:35:49 PM
Roadmap is very important, ask about what they plan to do if they reach their goals.

You want to see what they are spending the raised money on.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥⭐[ANN] CROWDHOLDING ICO - Launching 1st of November⭐🔥 on: January 08, 2018, 04:34:50 PM
Very exciting news! I'm glad to see that 2018 has started well for this project.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on pre-ICO lockups? on: December 24, 2017, 09:39:39 AM
It is needed to protect the altcoin.

If it gets dumped the only ones that profit are the ones who dumped it fastest and had the largest amount (which would probably be a Pre-ICO investor).

I think it is a good thing and personally I would be unhappy if an ICO didn't have it in place, because in my eyes it would mean they do not care about the coin after the ICO is completed.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crowdholding - Your thoughts? on: December 24, 2017, 09:37:06 AM
Love this project and I am seeing improving consistency, I think these guys are going to go big.

I just think they need to be in the sphere longer, get more users and get more startups and it will really start rolling! I am expecting them to be a bigger player in the scene next year (and nobody really knows about them).
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoCurrency market is crashing on: December 24, 2017, 09:35:26 AM
And it will bounce back up, it is very volatile compared to other markets because it is still trying to establish itself.

Also look at the fact that once there is a crash, it comes back stronger so just hold on there.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Be patient for your profit on: December 24, 2017, 09:33:45 AM
Couldn't agree with you more.

Only invest into an ICO if you like the project and believe in it. Don't look for a quick turn around after 12 hours.

150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs are a legit or Scam? on: December 24, 2017, 09:32:31 AM
The most important thing is to research every ICO you are interested.

Talk to the team, ask questions, read the white paper etc.

I would then get involved in a bounty campaign rather than investing immediately. It is better to be cautious than throw your money away.

Personally, I am looking at Crowdholding. They have a working platform, strong team and they are trying to build a community.

151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO is the best way to invest? on: December 24, 2017, 09:30:37 AM
I still believe so, you just need to make sure that you know what you are investing into.

Too many people are throwing their money into ICO's expecting results in a week and not understanding what is going on. If you want to invest into an ICO do it for the long haul, and believe in the project, and if it takes a little longer to see gains you will still be happy because you become part of that ICO.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin on: December 24, 2017, 09:28:26 AM
I am a big fan of ETH, but I do not see it overtaking Bitcoin.

I do believe that it is the only other coin that will come close and compete with Bitcoin, but you have to remember Bitcoin has been around a lot longer and is the flagship for cryptocurrencies.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you ❤️ crypto??? on: December 24, 2017, 09:27:25 AM
because it has the ability to :-

a) disrupt huge businesses who monopolise everything.

b) improve processes in all industries to make our lives easier.

What isn't there to like?
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who uses myetherwallet? on: December 24, 2017, 09:26:27 AM
I use it for my ERC20 tokens and I couldn't be happier, I would recommend it to anyone who wants to store ERC20 tokens or ETH.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why ICOs will fail in 2018 on: December 24, 2017, 09:25:42 AM
I do sorta agree with this article.

Sadly because there are more and more ICO's originality is becoming harder and so marketing needs to take a bigger role to sell one altcoin against another one even if they are very similar.

I think the ecosystem needs to change because alt coins were created to help innovation, not raise money for startups.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most ICO’s are a Con on: December 24, 2017, 09:22:17 AM
I don't think most ICO's are a con, but I do agree there are some bad ones.

Sadly you mostly hear about the bad / scam ones rather than the average successful one. Just research and look into everything before investing.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Easiest Ethereum Wallet To Use? on: December 24, 2017, 09:21:19 AM
Use My Ether Wallet, I think it is the simplest one out there (and probably the most used)
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IS CRYPTO TRADING ADDICTION? on: December 24, 2017, 09:20:34 AM
I don't think addiction, but depends on the person.

more than likely (sadly) the Russian guy put a lot of his money (maybe too much) into alt coins.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do holidays affect the outcome of the launched ICO? on: December 24, 2017, 09:18:20 AM
I think they would have a small part to play, I would advise to avoid them if possible.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I just divorced my wife and put every cent I have into Blackbytes on: December 08, 2017, 09:30:18 PM
Kudos to you man, takes balls to take about your current situation so I have a lot of respect for you being so open. I will look into blackbytes just for you dude.

Please don't lock yourself up though, I had a good friend who went what you went though and it took him longer to recover because he refused to get out. Do yourself a favour, work on yourself and build yourself up but also unwind sometimes.
