141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hacking KNC Neptune / Jupiter / Titan miners back to life. Why not? on: February 17, 2016, 03:28:41 AM
I need to keep reminding myself that I am doing high level logic and circuit analysis on boards that I have no documentation on, no schematics, no board layouts, no prior art to compare to, no source code, no logic trees, hell I don't even know what some of the PARTS are, and to be quite honest a very limited supply of units to even try to reverse engineer most of which are screwed up in some fashion or another.

Not to mention a company who doesn't say a peep.

Given all that I think I'm doing pretty well here. Just need to remind myself of that from time to time....

Felt the same way when I troubleshot my SP31.  Even emailed Spondoolies and asked about schematics.  That when exactly as expected, nowhere.

Most of what I now know about it I found out thorough experimentation.  Managed to get a non-working loop back, minus one noisy ASIC.

These dingbats have a picture of it, but no description.

Bedtime.

For your unidentified part, try this:

Looks like it might match.

Looking to buy a Neptune in hopes of underclocking it for maximum power saving.  What is the lowest voltage you have used and had all the dies come

up and hash.  Do these things to .5w/GH or better?

Hi,

What Would the shipped price for one unit be in BTC?
145  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Looking for DEAD mining hardware! What have you got? post here or PM on: February 12, 2016, 08:07:04 PM
I am wiling to sell 2 of my Antminer S3+, a PSU along with 1 Antminer U2 (for free).
For pictures you can look into my selling thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1361455.0

But at least I can state that they are not dead.
They are fully functional. Just dont want them anymore.

Pm me if you are interested. Smiley

Thanks for the offer, however I am looking for newer dead/broken hardware.
146  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Looking for DEAD mining hardware! What have you got? post here or PM on: February 12, 2016, 06:44:21 PM
I have a few "SOMETIMES" working R-Box 32-37 Gh/s miners and a Antminer U3 just sitting around bc I couldnt get it connected if you're interested.

Holding on to a Avalon 4.1 that still runs at 950 Gh/s that I may part with if you wanted one. Just re read the thread and don't think this fits your criteria!

I can't use the R-box stuff.  I actually would be interested in the Avalon.  PM of post here with what you are asking.
147  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 2 Gridseed Orbs and 1/2 a blade. (only 1 hashing board in the blade) on: January 30, 2016, 10:22:34 PM
Interested.  Is the other blade from that unit for sale.  Would be interested even if it does not work.

Awesome work!  Always intriguing to watch your "stream of thought" in these threads.

Still on the lookout for dead/broken miners. Cheesy
150  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Looking for DEAD mining hardware! What have you got? post here or PM on: January 24, 2016, 11:17:10 PM
its a long shot but i have an s2 with 7 out of 10 boards that were damaged in shipping , none of the boards are cracked in half or have breakes etc in them , what happened is some of the capacitors and resitors on the board got knocked off , they could actually be fixed with the right tools.

also have the backplane/controller/case for it

Would not mind playing with an old S2.  Really wanted to order one back in 2014.  Shipping would most likely be too much.

I have a dead S5+ hash board if you're interested.  Heat sinks fell off and overheated some of the chips.

Can't really use any Antminer "parts" might want to look here:

If it where a whole machine, different story. Wink

Running a full node and mining with some gridseeds.  Go Emerald!

Might be the lighting, but some of those large surface mount caps on the VRMs look to have gotten WAY hot.  I have noticed they change

color to almost a bluish when exposed to lots of heat.  When this happens sometimes they change characteristics (maybe tiny fractures) and

eventually short.  See it inside laptop computers all the time.  Personally I hate SMD ceramic caps.

Also in NC.  Sun is out here.  Maybe it will melt the snow off of my solar panels.

Hey have a lot of that stuff))
1. 3 pics Prismas of 1,4TH, some with burned chips, not many useful part there)) BE controller ok works with two blades at 0.7 TH
2. XBET 3.2 TH miner works at 1,6TH and I think can be repaired.
3. R3 - 450GH - 3 pieces - miners are ok, but the controller doesnt power on.
4. Rockminer T1 - have 3 cubes at 2 TH ( 2 cubes work ok, and the third one from time to time)
5. KNC cubes - they hash as they want some 1/2, 1/4, -/-))
6. and of course KNC controllers that dont see the cubes - 4 pics. BB's are ok.

P.S. By the way if somebody has KNC neptune controller I might be interested!

PM Sent.

Hi,

I got a payout about 2 hours ago (19:51 EST) and it still shows unconfirmed and from "unknown".  Any ideas? Was for block #393673.

Thanks!

Edit: I finally got 1 confirmation.  Bet the fellow who posted after me is right about "empty blocks".
