301  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [DIY] Tube/Prisma USB Adapter from USB Blockerupter on: December 29, 2014, 10:30:44 PM
I have a 1K resistor installed on the RX side to 3V3 as a pull-up.  It worked when I used a R-pi with raspbian.  As far as the Bet-clk, It sets frequency and is listed in the

readme as a valid command.  Strange it does not work.
302  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [DIY] Tube/Prisma USB Adapter from USB Blockerupter on: December 29, 2014, 08:16:09 PM
When I run cgminer-main 4.9.0 for windows with argument --bet-clk 25 I get "unrecognized option".

Hmm?  I thought Cgminer supported the tube/prisma after 4.7.0.

Novak, What version exactly are you using?  Where did you download it from or did you compile it yourself? This is weird. Huh
303  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [DIY] Tube/Prisma USB Adapter from USB Blockerupter on: December 28, 2014, 11:13:24 PM
I am not at the location currently.  The errors referenced "usb timeout"  and something about "returned 00" or some such thing (bad memory).  Might post a screenshot

tomorrow.  I will be at that location then.

Edit: Unexpected value 00

How did you get you boards to hash under Windows?  On my win7 machine all I get are LIBUSB errors regarding syncing.  The same setup works fine in

Linux.  Self compiled CGminer 4.9.0. with --enable-blockerupter config.  I compiled it on the same machine using Mingw.

I didn't have any trouble getting it to start on windows using the zadig drivers.  Didn't even compile my own, just use anything 4.7.0 or newer (or the custom ASICMiner 4.6.0 that they made specifically).  Now getting it to stay running is another story.  The windows driver must suck or something, because it usually takes between 4 minutes and 4 hours to crash (tested on an XP box, perhaps 7 is better).

I did see weird errors like that when I plugged in a tube board powered, but had another unpowered board still chained off of it.  Disconnecting the other board did the trick.  The tube/prisma are very picky sometimes.

Hmm.  The distributed windows binary would not even "see" my units.  The one I complied myself in Mingw sees them, but produces many errors then crashes right away.

I am using the drivers installed by Zadig and an adapter I made.  This exact hardware work fine under Linux but that is not an option where these are.

Is the blockerupter prisma/tube not enabled in the windows binary download?  When I run cgminer 4.9.0 it never detects the tube I have connected with a

CP2102 Uart.  The option "bet-clk 25" results in "unrecognized option".  I complied it myself in Mingw.  This way detects it but I get LIBUSB errors the a crash.

This same setup works fine under Linux but due to hardware placement windows is the only option now, or the crappy controller using a proxy.  Never have been

able to get this thing to hash under Windows 7 x64.

307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CoiniumServ - open source & high performance pooled mining server software on: December 25, 2014, 12:35:53 AM
Hi:

I setup Coinumserv now on Ubuntu 14.04 and setup bitcoin pool on it.

I point one miner to the pool and it was connecting successfully.

When i look to debug.log i found that the pool accept that miner share, but on pool front end the hash ratio is 0kh .

I setup it only with mysql no MPOS or other storage.

Also this message show when i run CoiumServ :

Code:
[Error] [PoolManager] [global] Error recaching statistics; The requested feature is not implemented.

Had this problem too.  Install Redis:

http://redis.io/download

Also, anyone know why some coins get an error indicating "block decode failed"?  I get this when I try to mine Opensourcecoin.  This happens with

Joulecoin as well.

Thanks for the reply.  I am still considering buying one, just to work with the hardware. Wink

Did you buy the rest of them?
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [EMD] Emerald Crypto Official Thread New Client v. 8.5.1 Update Now! on: December 22, 2014, 03:18:33 PM
I finished cleaning up the OP a bit. Things should be a bit more legible now that all of the broken graphics links have been removed. I will get the graphics moved to another server and re-enable them sometime later.

Be sure and stay up to date by downloading the latest client. If you have been having memory issues, you may need to delete everything except your wallet.dat file and re-sync the chain to get a clean copy.

More news soon...  Wink

Thanks for the update.  Finally got my wallet updated.  Had not opened it since Oct 2013.

Anyone have a link to the newest windows wallet?  For me, all of the links are dead.  One of them says it is not available in my county (US).

Thanks!

How much power do the VMC cards use?
313  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [GUIDE] Undervolt antminer s1 [1.19W/GH at the wall] on: December 11, 2014, 09:46:13 PM
What value resistor are you placing in parallel with the smd one to achieve 0.75V?  I have been pencil modding my ants but the results are a bit to variable.

10Gh USB miner? Cheesy Maybe?

Maybe this could be a return of the super cheap USB miners.
315  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Has Anyone heard of this Miner? on: December 07, 2014, 03:35:33 AM
Most likely this:

or something similar.

Bitcoin miner, that's funny! Roll Eyes
316  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S1 Underclocking, a thorough discussion on: December 06, 2014, 05:20:07 AM
I wanted to do it more from a "manageability" perspective.  Having so many individual controllers is a bit of a pain.  Right now I use a proxy for all my S1's.  Would be nice to

have one Cgminer instance for all of them.
317  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S1 Underclocking, a thorough discussion on: December 06, 2014, 04:51:37 AM
I did the block erupter to uart adapter thing too.  Love breathing new life (or repurposing) old hardware.  I am thinking about making a high density miner based on the

S1 hardware.  Would like to get about 20 S1 blades running on one controller.
318  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S1 Underclocking, a thorough discussion on: December 06, 2014, 04:25:35 AM
It probably won't be quite as straightforward to run as an S1, but... actually, I bet it will be if I can cgminer it. The VRMs are the same 53355DQP as the S1, S2, Cube, AM-V1 and a bunch of other hardware use, so I already know everything required to do the work. Just gotta find the time.

Actually Crazyguy released a modified version of Cgminer with Minera for the Raspberry pi.  I use it to run one of my tubes.  I bought a generic cp2102 adapter on Amazon

to use with it.  Works really well with any pool.  Had to install a 1K pull-up resistor on the cp2102 adapter.  Here is the original post:

319  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S1 Underclocking, a thorough discussion on: December 06, 2014, 04:03:42 AM
I would be interested in the tube experimenting.  I have three I run at around 0.75V that do 730Gh.  This dropped their power consumption by 50W per board.  Heat is much

more manageable as well.  No longer have to use two or more fans. Wink

nothing to do with bitcoin, but this little country quiz should kill some time while it's quiet, well 5 mins at least.

https://uk.news.yahoo.com/quiz--how-many-of-these-countries-can-you-name-from-their-outline-105137700.html#4xeml1r

Fun! Got 13 of them right. Grin
