141  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: June 24, 2013, 02:32:13 PM
What kind of hashrates do you see at 256mhz?

The avalon chip does 1 sha256 hash per cycle, so 256MHz => 256 Mh/s

The chip clock valid number: 256, 270, 282, 300
http://en.qi-hardware.com/wiki/Avalon

And per say from AVALON web site store "the chips are identical to those in Avalon, clocking 282Mh/s per chip."

@robix,

I asked Sebastian, and now waiting for his reply.

@robix,

please post your wallet address.

I have 2 sample chips from batch 3 available. They are in Sebastians hands in the moment. I would give them to you for 0.15 BTC both. If you are interested we have to arrange it with Sebastian.

Sorry tiros for hijacking your thread, but I'm in exactly the same situation. I'm also in SebastianJu's batch #5 and I need 6 more chips to complete the miner.

@robix, if tiros is not interested in only 2, I would very much appreciate if I can buy those from you.

Sorry but I need them, and would need only 1 after this. I hope someone will step up and help you like robix helped me.

I wonder how many times I will hit refresh button in my browser today looking forward to see new burnin's post how motherboards came and how he is constructing future of this community.
Probable outcome of this reminds me of joy I only had as a child, seeing it now from perspective of a grown man.

One thing bothers me, and that is I have uneven number of chips I bought in SebastianJu's thread (batch #5) and wonder do burnin have means to bridge and add those 3 chips I need, so my bitburner xx shipment don't need to wait next batch shipment of ASIC chips. If any of you guys know, and I missed the answer to this question, please quote it or explain it. Thanks. For those willing to sell those 3 chips check out the thread from my signature.

1 GH/s today is probably worth a lot more than 1.1 GH/s a week from now... So factor that when talking about shortened lifespan. I am probably fine with 10% increase in hashrate which halves the lifespan... Didnt do the math yet... The rate of increase of wear to the OC'd capacity needs to be measured and can only be done with prolonged testing... I guess if you can cool it fast enough, it should be fine.

Ok, I tend to agree with you. Thanks for reply.
btw. awesome avatar picture you have.
147  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: June 23, 2013, 10:07:27 PM
@tiros
somme of us are planning to watercool our XX bitSUPERBurnner.
we just need opurtunity to OC. You can choose, do it or not.

That is OK, but will burnin implement such a solution.
These chips are not sophisticated or even tested like GPU and CPU's are. They were just marked as passed, and no extensive testing was made.
I am skeptic about durability of those chips, and assume that chips life span would be shorten drastically if we would overclocked them or increased voltage.
Of course this is not my field of expertise and feel free to correct me anytime you want.
148  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: June 23, 2013, 09:53:47 PM
I am pretty confident that Avalon sell units that by their opinion should last for some time (even if not declared).
There are some units that were reported to stop working from batch #1 o #2, I am not sure, so people are selling not working modules.
In my opinion heating is the main cause of it, and even if overclocking is implemented we should be careful not to fry our precious and expensive hardware.
This overclocking story should be subject of prolonged testing and very efficient cooling. It's not question can we overclock ASIC, but for how long.
Me first would like to get better and faster modules which will shorten my ROI, but if I could chose I would rather be safe than sorry.
My 2 satoshi.

149  Economy / Computer hardware / [CLOSED] Avalon Asic chip from Sebastian's group buy batch =<#5 on: June 23, 2013, 01:37:01 PM
Hi,

I am one of the customers for Sebastian's group buy of avalon chips and I need 3 more chips to fulfill my target and get even number of chips.
Tell me what you want for them if you are in batch #5 or previous ones.

I have only 0.2 BTC right now, and could pay the rest only by PayPal if you are not willing to wait to mine some more (AMD 7950 570Mh/s).
Since chips are just recently ordered (2013-06-13) there will be 7-8weeks until they get to Sebastian.

Here is link to Sebastian's group buy
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=187660.msg1943449#msg1943449

To those who would like to say; what about chargeback or similar, I have no plan doing it ever and it can be done only up to 45 days from transaction.
Deal is deal and if you are afraid you will have your chips anyway.

1.) Name your price but please be reasonable.
2.) In case we make a deal I need 1 day to transfer the money to my PayPal account.
3.) I reserve right to reject any offer from what ever reason and chose the one that best suits me.
4.) In case we make a deal it should be public in this thread as well as confirmed trough received payment confirmation in agreed amount by PM.
5.) Next thing needed would be to send PM to Sebastian where you ask him to credit those 3 chips to my wallet 1Ey9P3tbMmZCX8xXs2Kx5NsSnHXoBAjj2x
6.) 45 days later you would need to confirm that there was no chargeback on deal we made (yes I know, this one is pain in the ass).
7.) Very important is for you to prove you own address from where payment was made by signing your message so I could check it.

Thread will be open until I get offer for chips or cancel the whole thing because of lack of interest.
If you have pre-ordered some chips and don't need them consider to help this another bitcoin miner.
Thank you.

fair enough - but i think we reached a point we can go no further
so i guess we would have to agree to disagree
that being said i can say that personally i do hope to have both parties (and it does need both parties) to get to some kind of understanding
and finish this thing up (especially since i heard there is great humus in Nablus and i do want to check it out Grin)

That is fine by me.
I personally try to see people equal no matter from where they come or what kind of background they carry.
For Israelis and Palestinians probably two state solution is only possible since there is too much blood spilled to forgive or forget.
Have a nice day my Israeli bitcoin loving friend.
Bye.
151  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israel on: June 23, 2013, 09:31:43 AM
up until a few hundred years the whole world insisted the earth revolves around the sun
please answer the question

p.s.
flavius - funny guy Smiley

I offered answer which I can give my friend.
Yes he is funny and probably bored Smiley

152  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israel on: June 23, 2013, 07:47:22 AM
This was like you saying that Canadian territory don't belong to Canada because those territories were not populated by Canadians. That is funny.
So we should go maybe to Canada, Russia or African unpopulated deserts and pin our flag into land and declare it as a country?

Having control over land and being occupied are two things my friend. All world apart from few countries will say that Palestinians live under siege and occupation.
153  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israel on: June 23, 2013, 07:07:27 AM
This is not thread about Iran.
To undermine UN from Israel point of view was expected but I tend not to agree with you, in fact me and most of the 193 UN member states.

As for you question, I will show you the map of Palestine / Israel from some years ago.
You don't have to be rocket scientist to see what happened.

154  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israel on: June 23, 2013, 06:56:13 AM
lol @ being in an argument with a muslin

all i need are one story government buildings and ill be ok

lol, looks like you are OK right now if we are not counting in bad judgment and lack of comprehension skills.
Carry on son. Smiley
155  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israel on: June 23, 2013, 06:37:03 AM
because its an irrelevant third world country. does somalia have a place on this forum? no. you are free to leave this forum

lol, this is my thread posted on request.
Somalia and Israel equal? You must be 10 years old.
I am not sure can you comprehend words such as "Politics & Society".
156  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israel on: June 23, 2013, 06:32:18 AM
israel should have no place on this forum, please stop discussing it

Why?
You are free to leave this thread anytime you want.
157  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israel on: June 23, 2013, 06:25:22 AM
we were talking about an adult discussion you are just throwing lots of text in here \
so from the little i can gather I'm guessing that your question/accusation is that Israel shouldn't exist because it sits on what should be Palestine in your opinion?
please verify or clarify

I never said that Israel shouldn't exist and posted those quotes for reference what happened.
The question from above should be, are you comfortable with having so much UN resolutions against Israel condemning illegal settlements and inhuman treatment of Palestinians?
And please state your opinion about those resolutions, since that they are facts and publicly available.
158  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israel on: June 23, 2013, 06:15:56 AM
I asked to start where we left before you started reporting my posts.
So here it is. Don't laugh too laud.

if you want an adult discussion in pm or a public thread (not my personal threads)
I'm up for it just tell me where - and we should agree on ground rules

How much for oranges from occupied territories?

oranges are heavy and they need to be shipped fast and its not the season and they have a big chance of getting stopped at customes...
so it would be very expensive
but if you want it can still be arranged - at your own risk

nah, I probably couldn't stop thinking about Palestinian kids that were forced out from their homes and from their land so zion could have its nazi fruits.
Thanks anyway.

i sent tiros the following message lets see how he replies
your behavior is just rude - your are trying to hijack this thread
with that being said i'll say 2 more things regarding what you say- 1. repeating a lie a hundred times doesn't make it true
2. if (and that's a big if)you are really interested in a real open discussion i'm up for it open a thread and tell me where - or if you rather pm me and we'll see if you opinions are valid when confronted with facts (assuming you aren't a side in which case i don't think a rational discussion is possible since there are to much emotions tied to it)

btw. thanks for calling me a liar, it was kind of expected.
If you want private discussion I am opened for it, but judging by your attitude and evasion of questions asked I feel we won't get anywhere.

Now I kindly ask you to be decent enough and call things as they are.
To be honest only term to be used by the international law are; "illegal occupation", "war crimes" and "state sponsored terrorism", but probably years will pass until we see Israel convicted for those crimes by international court of law.

You have an option here and that is to ignore me (see the magic button under my nick name), or to stop replying to my posts and that will be it. Am I fair or what!

Well, if you seek to be offended over internet maybe it's not a place for you.
Personally I can handle rude vs being kicked out of my home and from my land, so I don't think that is some kind of big deal in this case.
I also have suggestion for this treed since it is named incorrectly, it should say "want something from Palestine".
It is very hard to have rational discussion with zionists, and please note that I don't assume you are one just because you live in Israel and of course you can declare yourself as one or deny it.

To give you some credit, I know there are good guys living in Israel but those bad ones spoil it for everyone and that include Palestinians and the whole rest of the just world.

I wish you good luck in selling stuff, and please have some integrity next time someone ask you to sell him anything grown or produced on someones else land and refuse it as immoral thing to do.

Shalom

Looks like you didn't wait and had to report my posts.
Never mind, I will leave you now to enjoy in your bubble.
Bye.
