MOVE TO CANADA.

I watched a few of the points before getting bored.  Let's get the Northern wall built before the place implodes/explodes!  But ya, take advantage of the current panic (as we 'drain the swamp' of DC and Hollywood) to offload some garbage there first.  Send the engineers to do up the blueprints and calculate the costs and such ASAP though.

Its funny how democrats lose their mind when making baseless arguments against Trump. Hillary voted for a bill to build a 700 mile double fence on the US/Mexico border. Its a matter of public record. Not that I care either way, governments are duty-bound to protect the country and its citizens. If it takes a wall, why cry about it?

Resorting to fat-shaming now? Are we jealous of his riches?

I'm pretty sure the dude is a talented coder and created megaupload himself

All I see is: this user is ignored.
147  Other / Meta / Re: Tampermonkey script to block ignored users on: July 26, 2016, 09:33:04 PM
Can you clarify what you mean by "ignored user fields"? Is it the "This user is currently ignored." text?

Yes, I want that hidden via a script. Or reduced to a single line; each ignored user post still contains the topic headline and post time.

Thank you all so much for the kind words.

I see that bitcoiners are people with real soul!

You are correct: humans are horrible by nature. Most don't live up to it for various reasons such as social, cultural, business, or religious influences.

If you really want to know human nature, watch what people do when they think they can't be observed or caught. The internet provides a cloak of anonymity that encourages people to act out their immoral nature,

Word of advice: never let your guard down when it comes to bitcoin scams. It will happen when you least expect it.

Is there a working script for tampermonkey (chrome) to remove ignored user fields from the bitcointalk page?

Reward-Drop ETA:  (23 hours)

come back tomorrow folks

party starts at 9

The party of the nothing happened when everyone expected something to happen?

We gonna see no move.

The next 24 hours aren't critical

tru dat leet! Everything always gets priced in months before as I  anticipated...

Bitcoin is constantly evading predictions of death. The 'priced-in' effect depends on the company behind a certain stock performing as expected. If so many expect bitcoin to be a failure, the market can't be 'priced in.' Also, performance can sometimes be totally unexpected. Eg. Facebook.

Also, bitcoin isn't a stock. As long as bitcoin has intrinsic value (which we agree it does), the price can boom due to economic conditions, just like the precious metals market. PM's are worth more in times of economic uncertainty.
151  Economy / Speculation / Re: Lose all your capital fast, with MatTheCat and his TA 101A! on: July 08, 2016, 09:09:07 PM
And the very fact that it could happen, puts Bitcoin beyond the pale for any serious capital chasing anything other than high risk, short term gains. Gold it aint, and never will be.

Mat, even if you'd turn out to be right (that serious capital will mostly stay out), we still have no idea how much bitcoin is worth, even without capturing anywhere near a similar amount of capital as say, the precious metals market. Total global wealth is around 200 trillion. If bitcoin captures a tenth of one percent of global wealth, (0.1%), that is a 20200 billion dollar market, double20x what it is now. To me, that is what you define as not "serious capital" in terms of individual investment; most are not investing more than they can afford to lose. I think your pessimism borders on the irrational.

Wow, it seems my pessimism borders on the irrational.   XD

thanks for the math lesson.

Only thing Bitcoin has going for it, is the network effect. Unfortunately, that 'network effect' has essentially relocated to, and concentrated itself in, China. Never again, will anyone be able to faithfully and correctly claim, that Bitcoin is 'decentralised' currency for the digital age. It is totally centralised. Over the 70% of the mining capacity is in China, which is dominated by essentially two big miners

Mat, you're not making any sense. China isn't going to do a damn thing to upset the apple cart. If they fork it, bitcoin ceases to be universal, and that is not in their best interests. A unified decentralized bitcoin is the only workable solution, otherwise its just shit, as you point out. And FOR THAT REASON, China will do nothing. You can stake your life savings on it.

biggus dickus, Right. Brits will forget that USD exists, and buy BTC.
In other news: New (sub-4000CNY) daily low Sad

You people had such promise; with all the benefits afforded you by history, America somehow still manages to be the worst country in the developed world. Your mug of a would-be world leader regularly incites political violence and is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, and misogynist who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the US. What happened to you?

America has the constitutional right to ban whomever they feel is a threat to national sovereignty. Deal with it son.

EDIT: I'm not even from the US and I still stand up for America's sovereignty, not because America or Americans are flawless, but because I stand opposed to all liberal whiners who push an agenda to have us all pledge allegiance to global 'kumbaya club' steeped in self-loathing, political correctness and spinelessness.

It's hard to argue with a gun culture stretching back to the wild west. The new world is hairy. But I don't really approve of this.  Embarrassed

The Wild West is about 85% Hollywood mythology.

But I reckon the other 15% got right ornery at times.

All human societies do, guns or no guns.

157  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: March 06, 2016, 01:01:24 AM
The people who don't believe that we have a gun problem in this country is out of their minds. Countless numbers of people die every year over guns so don't tell me we don't have a gun problem!

Its a VIOLENCE problem. Would you also say that because of car accidents, cars should be banned? NO. Use your brain for a change and figure out ways to reduce gun deaths without becoming fascist.

Blacklists are very bad! Simply because they lead to sad possibility that mine bitcoins are not as good as yours, thus value of 1 btc != 1 btc.

Blacklists are not evil. Only people can be evil. Don't put blacklists on coins, put them on addresses instead.
