It all depends on how hard the developers or the team work to keep the project active and in the market. Looking at the current trend altcoins have a really good future, but if they want to sustain it the people behind the creation of these coins have to put the effort to make the coin survive in the market by constantly upgrading the tech and continuously marketing them.

I believe that good reputable altcoins which have community acceptance will not die, and they will flourish in future. I think this year is the year for altcoins, you can see almost all altcoins price increase in this year.

There are no stable cryptocurrencies at the moment because there is no regulation. They're extremely volatile. When the market of cryptocurrency will become stable, it will be difficult to earn a lot on it, there will not be such jumps and falls in prices.

My opinion is this. The future is easy. We pay in stores, for an apartment, we buy a car for the crypto currency and go to rest. I to expect in the coming years.

The main difference between altcoins and tokens is in their structure. Altcoins are separate currencies with their own separate blockchain. Tokens operate on top of blockchain that facilitates the creation of decentralized applications.
