141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Verge can do better in future? on: May 27, 2018, 12:00:18 PM
It is aired in crypto industry that Verge is doing well with the partnership of Pornhub. And they are accepting subscription fees with Verge.
How long it would run in market?? I am not hopeful regarding this coin. May be its involvement with the wired industry.

Thoughts???

I'm really puzzled after I heard of recent verge hacks, that is not very promising to hear such news and also there seems to be no action taken from the devs which raises only more suspicions.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what's your reason joining here in crypto? on: May 26, 2018, 06:09:45 PM
cryptocurrency is interesting, it gives an opportunity to earn good money. Yes, unfortunately, not stable, we can not be sure that buying now some kind of cryptocurrency in a few months we will work well. but it's great to risk it.

it gives not only opporutnity to earn good money. It mainly give opportunity to people to be their own bank, not relying on central authorites and banks to transfer their money abroad.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Risk points of investing in cryptocurrency. on: May 25, 2018, 04:49:00 PM
As a newbie, I should know the risk point of investment in cryptocurrency. Could you please share your views so that I can gather some knowledge about the risk factors??
Thanks in advance.

there is a huge risk in general. Then there are different risks based on the projects you decide to invest in. There is generally less risk in investing in bitcoin than some newly founded ICO.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Selling tokens earned by bounty on: May 25, 2018, 04:44:59 PM
Does anyone have a guide how to sell tokens that you've received from bounties?

Please don't say Google, I looked.

Much appreciated, thanks.

You don't need google to reply your question. It doesn't matter if the tokens you have are from bounty or you invested in ICO, you still get the same tokens. So hold it if you feel like it will grow.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is possible for beginner can long term hold Altcoin? on: May 25, 2018, 04:43:34 PM
Can you suggest me which one is best Altcoin coin hold for 2018? Huh

I wouldn't listen to many opinions here, mostly all shillers. But it depends whether you want to focus on the less risky more estbalished currencies or those with small market cap. Check cmc website based on that and do your own research.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can myetherwallet get hacked? on: May 24, 2018, 01:50:24 PM
Hi, i have backupped my pvkeys on an usb stick. I wrote it also down on a piece of paper. My computer broke. I put a metal pin through the harddrives. I will not buy a new pc soon. So i wont check in on myetherwallet for some time. I cant click on phishing links. My question is : are my funds safe? Can myetherwallet get hacked? Can my funds dissapear even when i have no computer, hid my keys? Im to stupid to work with a ledger or trezor. Can something happen to it like with the parity/kill?

since you are not using computer so there is no chance of hacking your private key. so it must be safe. you can also check your balance on etherscan.io.  as i am very concerned about the security of my tokens so i prefer to use ledger wallet to keep my coins safe in MEW. as i can not bear the loss of all my tokens are lost because of hacking.

hardware wallet is definitely the best option to store the tokens, perhaps except for paper wallet, but that is far less convenient. With sufficient back up, it should be safe
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrops .. Is it fortune or scam? on: May 23, 2018, 01:53:58 PM
Is it even worth participating in airdrops?
"I have participated in about 250 airdrops since February and so far only received about 30 that are worth only a few dollars".

Does that sound familiar to you? This certainly concerns many of you and therefore I would like to explain it to you in the best possible way:
Airdrops are a long term play. Most of them take about 3 months until the tokens are distributed.
In addition, some projects fail and the tokens are never distributed.
What I have also noticed in recent weeks is that significantly more projects than we initially suspected are fraudsters or fakes.

Quality over quantity
I know there are tens of Telegram channels, web sites, bitcointalk threads and others that post many airdrops a day.
But do you really believe that they are all legit?
will be successful?
will the tokens really pour out?
will be worth something?
I doubt this for the absolute majority of projects!

Are they worth it now?
To answer the question from my point of view: There are a few airdrops that are definitely worth it. A good example is the HYDRO airdrop. The 222,222 tokens have recently been distributed and are currently worth about $2000 , but I believe that 95% of all available airdrops are not worth it. Therefore you have to search for and concentrate on the remaining 5%, like Hydro!

we have too many people in this community who unfortunately are not able to apply the common sense and trust anything. I believe right now there are more scam and fake airdrops than real ones.
148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin win? on: May 22, 2018, 09:09:19 AM
Similar to what Gandhi said
At first, they ignored the Bitcoin, then ridiculed him for "how a digital coin does not have a physical presence" to be a substitute for paper currency and a system called the Blockchain, an alternative not only to the banks but to the entire institutions, then they fought him and tried to cast suspicion in the ranks of those who pursued him To 20 thousand dollars in less than ten years from the way he described the bubble and the closing of the trading platforms and then enter the market and try to control it as it is now.
Now only victory ...

it would be interested to see what Ghandi would have to really say about Bitcoin. But yes, the pressure in mass media is huge to present bitcoin as bubble and try to claim it's dead with every opportunity.
149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bangladesh government banned bitcoin ? on: May 22, 2018, 09:08:20 AM
Anyone knew about that Huh

Is it true news Huh

another example of non functional ridiculous government being afraid of bitcoin when they probably don't even know what it is ,surely never used it. That will change in time though
150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does U.A.E allow bitcoin in their market? on: May 22, 2018, 09:07:21 AM
Am a Newbie and want to know if bitcoin is legal in UNITED ARAB EMIRATES

UAE seem to be super open to everything related to blockchain and bitcoin. I believe Telegram has established a company there to perform its ICO, which means they got green light from government.
151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Plans for 8th Annual Bitcoin Pizza Day? on: May 22, 2018, 09:06:07 AM
Bitcoin Pizza Day is Tuesday May 22! Was it a Dominos pizza or Papa Johns that was purchased?

Anyone planning an event in NYC? I'm looking for any pizza place that accepts direct bitcoin payments.

is it? that is one of the funniest crypto moments ever Smiley If I could buy something with bitcoin where I live, I would have surely honored the memory. Maybe one day I will be able to celebrate too Smiley
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is one and only no matter what on: May 22, 2018, 08:58:30 AM
In my books bitcoin is one and only no matter what people say and or how they try to manipulate situation. I KNOW what bitcoin is what it stands for as for rest ... meehhh...
I will take into consideration something else when I can exchange it 1 bitcoin = 1 (something) .... but until that day Bitcoin is the king baby Smiley

I don't think it's right to say no matter what other people say. I agree with you that bitcoin is the main and first crypto, but if someone comes and gives proper reasons why it should change, I will at least listen to what he has to say
153  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know the laws around trading on: May 22, 2018, 08:57:05 AM
https://www.msn.com/en-ca/money/topstories/unlicensed-bc-bitcoin-trader-jailed-in-us-after-federal-sting/ar-AAxvxVe?li=AAgh0dA

Scrolling through today I came up on this guys story. I guess I'm a little surprised, but I am ignorant to the laws in the US.

I'm wondering is there something wrong with buying and selling BTC not using an exchange? I would have thought as long as you claimed your profits come tax time that everything would be fine.

I could understand if the only reason they went after him was because he tried to maintain "plausible deniability" in regards to where the funds had come from; but they were already investigating him at that point.

the reason he was sentenced is that he served as an exchange, therefore money transmitter. He wasn't buying and selling crypto only for his purposes, but obviously running business exchanging bitcoin for fiat.
154  Economy / Speculation / Re: why more red days than green days on: May 20, 2018, 07:27:58 PM
Two days greenery then suddenly 4 days red. I think this happened due to money makers. Most are coming to money making from fluctuation. Because of this fud or any bad news there , these people get panic and selling their portfolios so the  whole market crash.

But people like us , invest to the technology. What ever the thing has happen , we think that this has good future. so we keep our coins for long time.

This is my opinion. Why more red days and few green days

I'm not sure why it's happening, but usually the markets react to simple speculations, I guess that is happening also now. But the price has been pretty stable, nothing major to be honest.
155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks to start trading crypto sooner on: May 20, 2018, 07:22:22 PM
Banks will trade cryptocurrency sooner than people think, says former JPMorgan blockchain executive. If you are thinking to buy some bitcoins, it is right time as prices will go up soon.

Source: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/05/18/banks-could-start-trading-crypto-soon-says-fmr-jpmorgan-executive.html

if this happens, the prices will really spike heavily. I can't wait for that moment as it will only confirm there is simply no way banks can do anything to overcome crypto, so they will join the movement
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚛️ [ANN] Bitcoin Atom - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Atomic Swap Powered ⚛️ on: May 18, 2018, 10:58:24 AM
How can i mine this coin?

there is a list of pool on first page of this ann thread. You will need to have asic miner for this matter, then you just join the pool you choose and you get your proportional rewards
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum SCAM? on: May 18, 2018, 08:28:48 AM
haha, this is the most ridiculous article ever. I guess you were just trying to benefit the fud and buy cheap ethereum, but that was not going to happen. Ethereum is everything but not ponzi
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is under the spotlight of US regulators on: May 18, 2018, 08:26:02 AM
Ethereum is facing scrutiny from American regulators this month who say the coin should be classified as a security. How do you think this will impact Ethereum?

that is only good as it means ethereum is starting to be also considered a major player and might soon succeed to overcome bitcoin as number 1 on coinmarketcap. I'm not worried about the regulation that is about to come
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why Altcoin prices often follow Bitcoin price on: May 18, 2018, 07:31:54 AM
Do they really? I often encounter this statement. And i have no idea as to why. This past few days, bitcoin is on the rise and most certainly than not altcoin's price surely follows. I am not saying this is bad but altcoins have very little in common with bitcoin. And they are certainly not carbon copies of bitcoin either. Why the heck is their price so closely connected despite being so fundamentally different?

Not all altcoins, but if you imagine that there are no significant events for given altcoin, it's very likely its price will follow bitcoin movement. It's natural because mostly the updates on bitcoin regulation etc directly apply to altcoins either
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚛️ [ANN] Bitcoin Atom - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Atomic Swap Powered ⚛️ on: May 18, 2018, 07:30:16 AM
Guys, I'd like to join the project and buy some BCA, is the project alive?

it is more than alive. YOu can also check their github, constant activity can be tracked there Smiley you will find many doubters, but same goes for bitcoin and ethereum, don't you worry about it

Being alive would not mean that it will survive in the future.
Most of bitcoin forks are close to die.
Is Bitcoin Atom just another fork, or having something new?

I agree, so sad that every fork ends and ends very quickly, I don't know why it's not supported more from people.
Idk what you ppl are talking about.... BCA is well alive. go to telegram chat and check there.
https://t.me/bitcoinatom

also the price is showing the momentum as it has been growing recently from below $1 to almost $2. I guess it's caused by fomo as GUI AS wallet launch should be very near
That is very simple analogy in forks or in this bitcoins. If it was continued to expand its use, wallets, network and the best service tgat they can offered like bitcoin cash that was used some services not only just because it was by Roger ver the mind behind on it. It will grow, just like bitcoins starting from less than a cents of dollars.
BCH token isn’t a good example, BCA will get better usage, applications with Atomic Swaps. More over Ver isn’t a good example either.

I prefer to consider each fork to have its own path. Bitcoin Atom attracts me because I can't wait for atomic swaps to be usable and finally ditch the centralized exchanges causing me so much headaches...
