You can't. It's up to others to not get scammed. There are warnings about it.

This could be said for anything really. If you bought a house in August instead of buying bitcoins then you also lost out on the capital gain. Or if you kept your money in the S&P instead of bitcoin, then you lost on those gains. It's just nonsense to try to make BFL look bad for your decision.
At the same time, you can't expect hardware vendors to act as hedges for bitcoin investors. If BFL gave refunds in btc, then it would just make sense to purchase a ton of hardware with btc. Then if the btc price goes down, you still have the value of the hardware. If the btc price goes up, you request a refund and get all the gains with no risk. It's selfish and makes no sense to ask for such a thing from a hardware vendor.

He needs the money, and he needs it NOW, those mining ASIC's are fairy tales, everybody believes that it's real, but no one has seen one at all.
This is a dangerous statement to propagate specifically because of the problem the OP is facing. If everyone listened to this, then they would invest in GPUs and FPGAs and then in a few months would be left holding a bunch of hardware that everyone else would be dumping. Yes, these units are not available yet, but unless you have real and concrete proof that they are not coming out of at least one of the 4 vendors who are working on them, then you really should not talk with such certainty.

Before making an entire network, is there any evidence that there is enough of a market for bitcoin in India to support one store? I've seen a TED talk where the speaker talks about the benefits bitcoin could have for a goods seller, but do we really think there would be a large amount of bitcoin consumerism there?

I read through that thread, and you are way the fuck out of line, Junior Member. Your contribution to the topic is dramatic and your arguments are weak. You are the worst kind of bitcointalk forum poster and I personally don't want to read this kind of drivel. Learn some netiquette before you come back and post again.
Also, NYPA.

So, its not by "dishwara" in irc or maybe some one used it by adding or deleting characters.
In the IRC scams, they use your name but don't authenticate to the bot. The fact that you don't have you key actually makes it easier for them because they can say hey lost their key.

You should probably post in Scam Accusations. The thing is that bitcoins are worth something, they can be sent p2p with very little information sharing between the parties, and because they aren't normal currency, people have a bit of a tendency to be reckless with them. This makes bitcoin holders desirable marks for scammers, but also helps scammers justify their actions because "it isn't dollars."

They should be removing the $1,000 minimum soon.
In 4-6 weeks?

My post links to the depth on Mt Gox, that's how I got the number. But bitcoinbear is right about people pulling asks as you are buying, something that doesn't make sense to me because it should be atomic and immediate but Gox allows it to happen. Also, people can bid as you are buying in the hopes of flipping the coins, so this could also lead to less.

In city of Shanghai where I live, an apartment suite of premium quality can be sold for 10 million Chinese Yuan which equivalents to US $1.6 million. If someone sells a suite of this kind (there are at least a couple thousands of them) and uses the money to invest into bitcoin, he can get 118+ thousands BTCs and thus enters into the World Top 10 Fortune List of Bitcoin. A buy of $1.6 million would only get you BTC86810.

What are 2-of-3 transactions? Is it a system in which the buyer and/or seller have to deposit some money that will be transferred back to them upon completion of a mutually satisfied transaction? Because such a system would make sense to me.
I have seen the term "m-of-n transactions" before on this forum, is this a more generalised term?
Although I am not yet technically literate enough, do-it-yourself escrow seems like an awesome idea. Thanks Casascius!
Yeah, m-of-n is the generic term, meaning you need m parties of the original n parties to be able to spend the coins. In a 2-of-3, you could have the buyer, the seller, and an arbiter as the 3 people who participate in the transaction. They sign it in such a way that two of those are needed to spend the coin to the final destination (the sellers wallet). In most cases, if the buyer an seller agree, then they would just sign it and the arbiter would never even be involved. If there was a problem, however, the arbiter would make a ruling and with the buyer spend it back to the buyer, or with the seller spend it to the seller. This would require trust in the judgement and integrity of the arbiter, but is does allow two people with relatively low reputation to leverage the reputation of a well known third party.

This essentially requires some kind of resolution between the two partners. However
- a seller could be a scammer just looking to grief "buyers". - a buyer, once receiving the item, could random the locked up coins for a discount. The seller has no leverage here.
I'm not too keen on this and doubt I would agree to it. 2-of-3 transactions are where it's at.

It's an average over the whole 2016 blocks, and it was higher over the first part (especially right before the halving). Give it a few more days and it will probably end up slightly lower.

I see that you only cater to US. since i need a paypal verified "US address" . Are there any options that you might be able to do. i have a lot of btc for unloading. Im from the Philippines. I have Paypal but in fear of getting my account frozen from what i read.
That's a reasonable fear. Paypal is notorious for such things. I would try to use one of the options with International Bank Wire on this page.

I didn't have any disruption.

This is building on Gizmo's last update. One thing is that the post numbers from there seem to be off. I don't know if posts were deleted and this changes the numbers, but everything up to me is a little off and should just be used as an approximation. http://p2pool.info/Pool stale rate was 20-30% for a long time, miners were getting 10% rejects from the pool, yet we kept getting blocks and getting paid. What can I say, other than go p2pool. Getting paid and getting paid your full expected amount is not the same thing. I'd rather be at a pool like BTCOxygen with a 2% fee than get 10% rejects.

looks like https://fastcash4bitcoins.com do ACH transfers looks like a better way for us but I am not sure about their credibility. It would be great to hear something from their existing customers who had used their services. Fastcash4bitcoins is run by Tangible Cryptography, who has impeccable reputation. Here's the support thread.

I'm a hobby silversmith and this is correct. Another impurity is carbon from the torch, but the borax acts as flux. it makes sense to me.
Even if his technique is bad and he does carry impurities in, it seems that his process still guarantees you the right amount of silver. He is taking 1 oz of 92.5% and adding in .075oz of 99% shot. This guarantees .99oz of silver. If the weight is over, then the extra weight is from impurities but it doesn't matter as you have the same amount of silver.
