Hah, my posts always get misinterpreted when I'm being facetious so welcome to the club.
I don't remember having any problems with your posts ever. I guess it's also up to the reader a bit...
I think it may have a lot to do with regional (i guess we can consider this country wide now) dialect whether you can pick up if someone is being facetious.
I think body language comes into play a lot as well which is of course lost online.
I've been a ball buster my whole life and am a marine with a suck it up attitude so I can come off as crass when i'm trying to make light of a subject to get a laughing it off reaction.
I've noticed the intertubes are not always conducive to good communication.
Emojis actually help in this regard but you cant shrink them so it defeats the purpose.
Also people on the tubes seem to be ultra sensitive and jump to a conclusion on the argumentative side as a reflex rather than defaulting to taking things as a joke side which I'm not really sure why.
I think we are creating a world full of snowflakes one generation at a time and the problem is starting with their little participation trophy's.
(When I say things negatively I use to be more clear about it)
If I have something to say to a person I have no problem coming right out to their face.
There is never any doubt about if i'm pissed off or not.
Funny thing is I'm almost never pissed and very rarely lose my cool, hell I laugh about shit that makes other people cry.
I guess that comes with having to deal with real adversity through life and not just imagined slights.
