141  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 16, 2016, 02:28:02 PM
The sky is falling!
More shills on the house
142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Network is under sybil attack on: March 16, 2016, 02:10:11 PM
BTW, The debunking of the SegWit Fraud of the charlatans@blockstream-core and its cheerleaders is progressing with exponentially increasing speed, the nearer the arrival of that monster comes and threatens the community.

Do they at least pay you well? If so, what are the other benefits?

EDIT: being a corporate shill must be really terrible, sitting in the cubicle, I guess they have quota of how many posts you need to make.

tell us more I'm really curious
143  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: the shill observer - troll monitoring - NEW: language processing on: March 16, 2016, 02:02:18 PM
The language processing has been upgraded and it's now really fast, not a problem anymore.

We can easily handle thousands of shills.
144  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Segwit details? SEGWIT WASTES PRECIOUS BLOCKCHAIN SPACE PERMANENTLY on: March 16, 2016, 01:44:40 PM
From the point of view of old clients, segwit adds one coinbase output that contains the root hash of the Merkle tree that commits to the witness transaction ids. It uses 47 extra bytes per block, so technically, yes, it "wastes precious blockchain space". The blockchain on-disk can be pruned though (implemented as an experimental feature in Bitcoin Core 0.11, and with nearly full functionality in 0.12), so calling it "permanently" is not very accurate.

pieter keep up the great work! we're on your side.

don't worry about the lies, manipulation and misinformation, we're on it. we got it covered.

jl777 joined the dark side, and for all intents and purposes should be considered a troll with agenda.

don't feed the trolls
145  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: the shill observer - troll monitoring - NEW: language processing on: March 16, 2016, 12:25:10 AM
Is this open source?

it's made from open source parts , stanford corenlp , sqlite database, the js visualizer called brat

but i'm not open sourcing it now as it's terribly hacked together with duct tape
EDIT: will open sourse it laters if it proves to be useful. currently its just the beginning

it's not very advanced so what would you like to use it for? all ideas welcome i''ll try to implement some ideas

i plan to run it and monitor bitco.in forum because the classic guys are there
146  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: the shill observer - troll monitoring - NEW: language processing on: March 16, 2016, 12:13:13 AM
Major issue, the java processing is slow only 100 posts per hour. Tomorrow the guys maybe fix it.
EDIT: Will leave it run for day  to see the result

What would be epic to get some analytics

Anyway, Bitcoin shills  Grin could become a problem,  Grin so it's better to be proactive  Grin
147  Bitcoin / Project Development / the shill observer - troll monitoring - NEW: language processing on: March 16, 2016, 12:07:15 AM
To the shill monitoring site  Grin , we just added an epic new feature, language processing.  Grin  Grin
Our machinery can analyze online posts with high precision.
No matter what type of shill (government, bank, corporate) .
No matter what topic (fear, scare ,bitcoin dead, promotion, social media, convince, community engagement.), etc..

How analyzed shill post looks like?

...

As u can see we can detect the most important stuff like verbs and nouns. This will allow us to categorize posts by topics, agenda etc..

148  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: address balances at specific block? on: March 15, 2016, 09:35:38 PM
just look up all transactions (debit credit) affecting certain address,

and filter out tx with less than n confirmations,

then sum debit credit of the rest

ideal way to do this would be sql.

most addresses have 1 tx, so the balance before top-up is 0BTC and after the value of the utxoBTC

so i would start the test with the non-reused addresses
149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Import Bitcoin private keys, Help for 100usd! on: March 15, 2016, 09:07:01 PM
I'm still fighting for it Sad
Those keys are not what I needed to recover cash..

still not fixed?
EDIT: tell us what happened
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Vitalik flee the country after the Eth scheme implodes? on: March 15, 2016, 07:15:24 PM
I wish ethereum a long and prosperous future a.k.a reaching $20 and plenty of reliable and long-term bagholders to unload on over the course of many, many years

EDIT: and loong loong really really slow decline to motivate spending god I wish that was the case so much

153  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Storing scripts (smart contracts) outside the blockchain on: March 15, 2016, 03:15:42 PM
Don't worry about bloating the chain. Just do it , and if Bitcoin becomes too expensive you can run it on doge or elsewhere.

just imagine the blockchain is free don't be afraid

You wouldn't believe it but even a shitcoin offers a pretty good level of security.

Amazing, will Pangea poker be based on zero knowledge mental poker or is there some amazing new tech to ensure duplicate cards will not be dealt from the deck?

A simple solution to detect card value collision and cancel the game would be enough!
155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Does Pruning alter the wallet.dat on: March 15, 2016, 01:31:35 PM
Note about pruning: it doesn't alter the wallet, but when you have a wallet backup , the backup can become old and pruned node will not open the wallet because it lacks the full blockchain to verify the funds inside the wallet

Not-pruned nodes can open every wallet even old ones.
156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Does Pruning alter the wallet.dat on: March 15, 2016, 01:24:41 PM
1. made a copy of my blockchain (directory bc2)
2. prune it. Happy it works
3. copy bc2 to datadir bc1
4. start my client

When copying/backuping/recovering  the database like this, make sure you have both chainstate/ index/ and the latest (or all) blk00xx.dat rev00xx.dat

In case you fail to do this correctly, bitcoin will throw it away and start synchronizing from start. At this point you should shut it down and make sure again you have all (chainstate/ index/,blk00xx.dat rev00xx.dat) set up correctly

My guess is pruning made something with index-files in .bitcoin - while my datadir is somewhere else. Why this disrupted the wallet.dat remains a mystery for me.

Well wallet for example remembers the longest blockchain. But in general  bitcoin doesn't simply trash wallets like this. It was probalby overwriten by you when you coppied whole .bitcoin folder including the wallet

When playing around with wallets you need to be extra careful and make sure you copy them . moving whole bitcoin folder with wallet in it is a really terrible idea.
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: From all of us newbies: Can you PLEASE dumb down this whole block size debate? on: March 15, 2016, 09:17:04 AM
Why should we be giving ideas to a false flag undercover shill
158  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: idea to solve scalability problem on: March 15, 2016, 12:06:34 AM
when you create 1000 altcoins like doge , lite , eth, you can easily handle visa scale

good thing they can be traded

bad thing you cannot pay from bitcoin to doge directly

also Bitcoin has not many users because not popular enough

if this happens, we can grow easily with altcoins

but user's not here yet

so relax
159  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: LevelDB reliability? on: March 14, 2016, 08:29:55 PM
People like Gregory Maxwell, Mike Hearn or Peter Todd are getting paid to pretend to not understand.

Let's not discuss what they pretend, or critize some hobby project
Could you please elaborate, what major problems for Bitcoin could be caused by  devs failing to understand utxo db, blockchain spool storage or other aspects
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ToominCoin aka "Bitcoin_Classic" #R3KT on: March 14, 2016, 02:26:07 PM
They are only now started to planning the actual hard fork.
