141  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Listahan ng mga Crypto Platform, Trading Platform Blocked by SEC on: April 12, 2024, 04:55:50 PM

142  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does trading belongs to everyone? on: April 12, 2024, 12:05:59 PM
Scams aside, and yes trading can be 'learned' and all that, but to put it simply — trading is not for everyone, just like how dentistry, being a doctor, engineering, etc, is not for everyone. It will simply be for whoever is genuinely interested in it to actually continue learning it for long periods of time.
143  Economy / Speculation / Re: Satoshi forces the price of bitcoin to continue to rise over time on: April 12, 2024, 11:55:23 AM
It's to slow down the supply distribution/inflation; the price increase is only a byproduct due to the decreased new supply.

And I don't know if you actually think that (though I think it's likely just language barrier), but saying "forces" is not the right word to use in this case lol.
144  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the dark side of the currency circle that you must understand? on: April 12, 2024, 08:43:35 AM
The Bitcoin and cryptocurrency space is absolutely filled with scams up and down, left and right, and the only way for you to not get scammed/hacked is to educate yourself. There's no other way around it. Even a lot of the influencers are scammers.

145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your opinion about binance launchpad projects on: April 12, 2024, 03:48:19 AM
Binance frequently lists dogshit tokens but historically the tokens they list on their launchpad have done great price-wise.

I've held a decent amount back then until price discovery, but I definitely wouldn't hold most of them long-term. I definitely think ENA is going to do great this cycle though.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone play mini-games like mining? on: April 12, 2024, 02:27:07 AM
I'm pretty sure none of those are actually worth it when talking about actually earning money; if anything, it's probably even worse than doing faucets. It's generally pretty difficult to mix 'play' and 'earn'; only a few games in the past have achieved this — RuneScape, WoW, etc.

148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time for BSC memecoins to take over Solana? on: April 11, 2024, 03:40:52 PM
Most memecoins that actually implemented functionalities end up dying down instead of going up as most people would think. Let memecoins be memecoins — not to be taken seriously, and just owning it because why the fuck not.

The only memecoin that has some sort of functionality(tipping) that is likely to have staying power is DEGEN on Base imo.
149  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You will lose more if you DCA without knowledge on: April 11, 2024, 03:18:45 AM
Well that's just plain out wrong lmao. DCA is exactly the strategy for those without much market knowledge because most people are better off just slowly buying instead of trying to time markets. What do you recommend, buying dips? lmao — one of the recipes for disaster.
150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin been inflitrated by global elite? on: April 11, 2024, 03:09:01 AM
Why are you even doubting bitcoin just because some institutions now own it? Bitcoin is still PoW, not PoS. And take note that this is a huge inevitability; if you're bullish on bitcoin, it's inevitable that institutions will also own it.

Remember, bitcoin is for your friends and for your enemies.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What could be the best of Solana NFTs? on: April 08, 2024, 11:52:29 PM
If I were to guess, probably Mad Lads will give the best r/r. Mad Lads have received a good chunk of wealth through airdrops that if you probably bought a Mad Lad NFT 2 months ago, you've probably made back your money through the airdrops alone.

If you're going to ask me if I have one — no, because I was dumb waiting for a dip lmao.
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unable to send money in blockchain.com on: April 07, 2024, 05:33:04 PM
I just notice that they have 12 word secret private key, do you already try to import it on non custodial wallet such as electrum?

This is what I am trying to figure out how to do now, since I have not done it before

I suggest doing it through BlueWallet instead. Idk, but newbie bitcoiners I know personally has had better experiences in general with BlueWallet.

Also, Blockchain.com wallet is so 2016. Ditch it as soon as you gain control over your money.

1. Hardware wallets for investments
2. BlueWallet for your hot wallet

153  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion to add a new link in the « Profile Info » section on: April 07, 2024, 04:34:15 PM
Thanks. Great suggestion! That is exactly what I am referring to. Problem is I do not see this link.
"Show the last topics started by this person"
Where is this link ?

If you just want to see the threads posted by a certain user, then the "Show the last topics started by this person." link is there on Profile.

Other than that, what you described is probably fixable by just using your browser's bookmark feature. Not all things need to be hardcoded into the forum software.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I created my cryptocurrency - CSS on: April 07, 2024, 04:10:39 PM
Ask for wallet addresses? Or depending if you created an ERC20 token on Ethereum or SPL token on Solana, you can 'airdrop' the 'CSS' tokens onto wallet addresses that fit your criteria.

What's your goal with this in the first place? I assume for educational purposes?
155  Other / Meta / Re: Can a lost account be recover? on: April 07, 2024, 03:48:52 PM
Other than trying to remember it or looking for your backup(if you have one), then no. Imagine being able to 'recover' a wallet without knowing the 24 words and without having the backup — that would be a huge security issue because you could potentially gain access to a wallet that's not yours.
156  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My experience on: April 07, 2024, 02:51:32 PM
Short answer: If you have at least $400 worth of crypto minimum, you 100% need a hardware wallet; it's not even debatable just grab a Ledger or Trezor (or ColdCard if you're a Bitcoin-only kind of person).

157  Local / Pilipinas / Re: SEC Slams eToro for Offering Unregistered Securities on: April 07, 2024, 09:45:19 AM

158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethena Airdrop Distribution & $ENA token Future Prospect on: April 07, 2024, 08:36:38 AM
ENA token works as a governance token, but it sounds like a mini terra for me rather than a governance token. I do agree with Cronje, but it seems like the hype is still very big to pump this token. It has increased more than 100%. That's amazing, and it also breaks all of the FUD about this token, but who knows if Ethena will become another terra.
Things that make me doubt it caused that this platform offers a very high yield for the USD staking. I have participated in the USDE event to get ENA token and got around 6k token from from locking 7k in two months.

It's not promising as what I have seen from the various perspectives, but I can't really say if it will not be profitable, there is a big chance that Ethena will be pumped even higher than I was thinking.
THe hype is still there and i think that's good enough to hold it for short - mid term.

The Ethena protocol definitely has risks and downsides(and also has a chance of implosion, but due to other risks) but the ENA token being like the LUNA token is simply technically wrong.

In this case the yield is actually 'real' because the APY is coming from funding rates; and the APY yield actually fluctuates(again, because of funding rates), not like LUNA which has a steady 20% APY.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Memecoins on the Solana Chain are still thriving. on: April 07, 2024, 06:01:30 AM
Like it or not, on-chain gambling won't go away; especially knowing that it runs under a guise making a lot of people think they're "investors" but really they're just gambling.

Yea of course things will die down a bit in the future, but overall, I don't think it's going anywhere.
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is a best way of taking advantage of BTC dips when away? on: April 06, 2024, 10:49:18 AM
However, he also mentioned in his post that he does not want to use any centralized exchanges because a centralized exchange can shut down before he comes back. I don't really see any other options, probably because I haven't heard anything like that before.

@OP, I don't understand why you are looking for a bot when you do not want to use a centralized exchange. You should not use any 3rd party apps or bots and you should not give them access to your wallet. When you are AFK, just enjoy the time. There will be more dips in the future, so get ready for that.

Well yea, because there isn't any other solution. I don't think you can really automate a P2P buy without having things break on you every time knowing how much things can potentially break(and potentially lose money) when automating a peer-to-peer transaction that includes interacting with another person using a bank account.

And yes, centralized exchanges do collapse from time to time, but the chances of you getting screwed over are very low if you're just setting up offers for a long weekend or something; also take note that I'm pretty sure you're not setting up weekend buy offers with a huge chunk of your net worth.
