381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I used a mixer and then got banned from exchange. Now what? on: January 09, 2024, 05:40:04 AM
all you have to do is ask the exchanger who was banned. then why was it banned. ask for a solution what to do to get it unbanned. crypto currency is nothing strange your coins come from anywhere will not be questioned. the solution is just above that contact the CS exchanger. or use another exchanger if you want to cash out the crypto you have into fiat money. via p2p or sell directly to crypto users where you live.

Just so you know — there have been a decent number of posts here on Bitcointalk and other crypto-communities concerning their CEX accounts being banned because of them mixing/CJing their coins. There have been several exchanges that have already spoken about this as well.
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I used a mixer and then got banned from exchange. Now what? on: January 09, 2024, 04:20:32 AM
Not totally sure what the best thing to do is, but if I were in your situation, what I would do is send the coins to probably a dozen wallet addresses, and continue sending and sending to different wallet addresses for a month or so(probably 20 times? depending on how sure you want to be); so if your coins have been sent over with a good number of hops, hopefully their system ignores the mixing history.
383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Who Owed Satoshi Money? on: January 08, 2024, 06:46:41 PM
Under the new IRS rules, you have to report  any receipt of crypto over $10k. So, Satoshi has to dox himself, OR break the law

I think people are overanalyzing things with this. It is a bit unlikely, but if I were to guess, it was some dude who made a crap load of money on btc/crypto/trading that sent the $1.2m just so send a message (not necessarily to thank Satoshi because who knows if he's still alive).
384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the kind of world you want to live in? [read] on: January 08, 2024, 06:21:35 PM
I mean, it's been discussed time and time again that attempts to attain such a level of control are to be expected, right? It's the reason why the main recommendation is no-kyc exchange, non-custodial wallets, and maybe mix/coinjoin your coins.

And if a certain government goes too hard on bitcoin, some of them will simply go silent for a while, or move to greener pastures.
385  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which wallet can i use for my needs on: January 08, 2024, 04:59:01 PM
Generally, I don't like the available wallets that cater to lots of cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin: BlueWallet
Ethereum and EVM(BNB, etc): MetaMask/Rabby
Solana: Phantom
Cosmos and Cosmos eco: Keplr
Tron: I don't use Tron so idk
386  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does this Qualifies you to give non-professional or semi-professional financial on: January 08, 2024, 04:34:28 AM
With this wealth of experience among many others not mentioned do you think it qualifies you to provide non-professional or semi-professional financial advice regarding Bitcoin to individuals?

Pretty simple. Since I'm technically not a licensed professional financial advisor, every single "advice" I say should be considered non-professional financial advice; regardless of how good/bad my advice is.
387  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bull run begun ? on: January 07, 2024, 06:03:01 AM
The fact that we cannot predict the future with accuracy does not mean that we cannot make probabilistic predictions that are accurate most of the time. In this sense, it is quite a bit more likely that the price of Bitcoin will be higher than it is now a year from now than it will be lower. Halving, the historical pattern or the moderation of central bank rate policies are strong arguments for thinking so.

It depends on how we define the bull run, but I would say we are more likely at the beginning.

Of course, as long as when you meant "most of the time", you meant ±5-8% in probability. Anything more than that is just delusional.

And yea, with the halving there's a decent chance that it'll work out the same, but at the same time, there's no guarantee that it will. There's always a first time for everything.

Tbh I'd would've answered different if we were in the Trading Discussion section.
388  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bull run begun ? on: January 07, 2024, 05:38:05 AM
If you meant that will bitcoin and crypto continue going up in price from here, I really don't know. If I knew when the prices would go up, I'd go all in with leverage lol. But alas, we can't predict the future so we should position our funds carefully.
389  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is www.crypto-comx.com legit? on: January 04, 2024, 03:51:22 AM
I don't even need to open the website or research about it before knowing that this site is 99.9% a scam. Take a look at the domain itself — it looks like a web domain that someone just bought for $11(or less, on a promo lmao).

If you're planning on using a centralized exchange, just use the big ones that people use. There's literally no reason to use the small unknown ones.
390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Inverse Cramer Does it Again on: January 04, 2024, 03:29:08 AM
High probability of Bitcoin Spot ETF approval is like 90% just rumor.
Possible rejection of Bitcoin Spot ETF applications from MatrixPort article is only rumor.

People love rumor but they forget that "Buy the rumor, sell the news".

A magic principle for them in Bitcoin market is, ignore news, buy and hold your bitcoin in your wallet. Time will help you get profit when you are not affected by rumor, news.

I don't think that's what "rumor" means at all. A person thinking something will happen/not happen is an opinion; and just like both of those, they're just opinions by these "analysts". Just like us thinking that bitcoin will go up in the future is an opinion, not a "rumor".
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China ban people from using usdt on: January 04, 2024, 02:54:12 AM
The Chinese Communist Party banning literally anything that could hinder China's growth and hinder the CCP's overall control over their citizens is literally the most unsurprising thing ever lmao. Especially knowing they banned crypto/mining like a bajillion times in the past.
392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Inverse Cramer Does it Again on: January 04, 2024, 02:26:19 AM
To be fair though, what he said wasn't necessarily even that bullish, just on the scale of 6/10 in terms of bullishness.

Pretty scary how close the timing was with the recent cascading liquidation event though, that was presumably started by the MatrixPort article.
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana Altcoin Gems still appearing. on: January 04, 2024, 02:10:01 AM
The Helium thing is surely enticing knowing that they're offering what? $20(if I remember correctly) a month for unlimited data? That's like super cheap, especially in the United States. Though I haven't dug deep enough to know what the 'catch' is. There should at least be some downside.

The only problem with this offer is that you cannot get a refund or return if you are buying it with unlimited data in mind. This is what they have stated in their refund policy, which I believe is smart marketing tactics

*snip*

I partly can't blame them for that policy.

"Deploy indoor mobile coverage where it’s needed and earn MOBILE. Together, we’ll change how we all connect." (https://hellohelium.com/hotspot)

So they're pretty much paying out $mobile emissions for people using the device, so if they have refunds allowed, people would buy one and farm $mobile, then refund the device.
394  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Philippine traders need help! We want an exchange with p2p feature like Binance. on: January 04, 2024, 01:24:39 AM
I doubt you can get a local exchange to implement P2P features knowing that what the authorities want is more tracking for potentially more taxes lol. Safe assumption na ginugusto nilang iblock ang Binance in the first place — kasi hirap silang itax-an.
395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you actually think a Bitcoin ETF will be accepted this month? on: January 04, 2024, 01:09:09 AM
I don't know because I'm really not an expert in this stuff, but the institutional peeps I follow on Twitter are like 90% certain that it'll be approved this month. With the remaining 10% mostly being a postponement rather than a hard denial. So yea, pretty confident, but won't be disappointed if we get a different result.
396  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's going on? on: January 03, 2024, 05:50:06 PM
It was said they were spreading fud. Maybe its real but some are also saying the correction is inevitable and it's happening in a time after the new year. Its a bit confusing this time but a few more financial personalities are saying Gensler will deny it. It's just too unreal that they are allowing people to make money out in the open when as a matter of fact they are like Wall Street guys who want to have them all.

They were saying that announcing the ETF approval is like insider information, they doubt it will happen on the exact date of the announcement.

I mean you can't really call something "FUD" if it's just the opinion of one single analyst? Like, for instance if I said "I don't think the ETF will be approved lmao", it's just my opinion, not necessarily FUD. You guys seriously don't need to overanalyze everything with stuff like "it's just fud so wall street can buy lol!" or something like that. It's simply the fact that the market is over-leveraged, and this "news" caused a cascading liquidation.
397  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's going on? on: January 03, 2024, 05:20:51 PM
tl;dr

  • MatrixPort analyst thinks that the ETF will likely be temporarily rejected
  • This analyst's opinion reached mainstream media
  • Market then panic sells their coins
  • The sells caused a liquidation cascade because there was so much money in long positions
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFTs in the Real World on: January 03, 2024, 11:11:03 AM
It has already affected a lot of things for the past years but this time? I don't think that they'll still have that much effect at all. They might still go with the same effect for some specific projects but not entirely the same that almost every NFT have value before. This time, they're just like cute digital arts that you own and will drop in value.

To be fair, I don't think the role of NFTs are just number-go-up investments in the first place. In some cases, NFTs are just "keys" to access certain features of certain platforms, and sometimes they're just collectibles bound to wallet addresses showing that you're an OG member of a community or something. Not every single NFT is supposed to have sellable value.
399  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Most safe wallet for mobile wallet on: January 03, 2024, 04:23:26 AM
BlueWallet(and probably Phoenix for Lightning). It is fully open-source and has sleek UI/UX, so it's pretty much my go-to when recommending wallets to normies.

Of course, for higher security, you know the drill: hardware wallets.

400  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Achieving a goal on: January 02, 2024, 01:49:03 AM
Not really sure what to recommend to you here besides the typical investment advice:

1. Pick your investments. Take your time, and don't just buy something a YouTuber recommended.
2. Control risk. It's fun to buy memecoins and hope for a pump and dump, but only place very small allocations to them, or maybe not at all.
3. Patience.

Also, take note that you pretty much want a 4x in a single year here. That multiplier is definitely possible, but you're going to need to turn your risk profile up a notch here. So while you can hit 4x, you can just as easily cut your portfolio value into 1/4th or lower.
