481  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Something Else could be the issue and not a clipboard problem on: December 26, 2023, 03:53:44 AM
Clipboard issues could be caused by a lot of things, but I definitely don't think bugs can suddenly make you paste a hacker's wallet address instead of yours. Bugs can only cause you to clear your clipboard, and/or fail copy-pasting.
482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Share your Bitcoin spendings here on: December 26, 2023, 03:42:26 AM
Spent bitcoin directly: Never bought anything but some cheap stuff on that website back in the day where you can spend bitcoin for stuff on Amazon. That, and servers and proxies.

Indirectly: A lot of stuff. From reasonable stuff to materialistic stuff like nice sneakers and clothing.
483  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Working out Risk on a Trade on: December 23, 2023, 05:56:00 PM
The amount you're risking per trade doesn't necessarily need to relate to your stop-loss placements. Stop-loss placements will far depend on the trade you're taking(price targets, invalidation spots, etc), than the risked amount.

e.g. I have trades where my stop-losses are really really far below, whereas I also have trades where my stop-losses are really really tight/close.
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do people make money with this web3 on: December 23, 2023, 06:41:31 AM
I have come across a lot of people doing pretty good and making money online

Just a heads up that you mostly only learn about the people who are making money, even if there are also an equal(or probably more) number of people that are losing money. Whatever you end up doing, have realistic expectations.
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exploring Lucrative Crypto Earning Opportunities: Recommendations Needed!!! on: December 23, 2023, 05:34:54 AM
Outside of trading and investing in coins that will hopefully go up, airdrops are the new shtick. Try and test out new protocols and/or provide liquidity, and pray they give you tokens for using their platform.
486  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Wag mag overpay ng transaction fee! on: December 23, 2023, 03:07:26 AM
I just hope na bumaba ang transaction fees in the coming weeks given na palapit na din ang fork.
What fork?

Just to give a quick question, ano ang nag dedetermine sa price ng transaction fees? Naalala ko kasi dati last 2017, tumaas din yung price ng BTC up to $20,000 pero hindi naman nag mahal yung tx fees nun. Ano ba mga factors that determine tx fees?
Blockspace demand. Mas marami nag ttransact(including inscriptions)? Tataas ang transaction fees. At the same time, always remember na fees are paid in sats; so pag tumataas ang price ng bitcoin, tumataas ang price ng sats so nagmamahal ang transactions in terms of USD.
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tips for fast investment growth on: December 22, 2023, 11:58:32 AM
The criteria you're describing is so broad that it's no different than saying "just buy cheap coins". There might be some low-float coins that have room to grow, but there are TONS of low-float coins that will just end up in the shitter.
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Btt staking and buying stradegy on: December 22, 2023, 05:57:44 AM
Yes this is similar to how people were buying dogecoin like crazy because they assumed it could go to $1 or even $10. However they had no idea how high the supply is and not only that, it’s miner supply was also high.

If it reached $1 and all miners sold, then they would need like $250M a month worth of buys so the coin would stay in the same price. It wasn’t possible. Hence why it had a huge crash and it’s the same with BTT, the price is low but the supply is extremely high.

To be fair, DOGE to $1 is only slightly more than 10x from here, which isn't that surprising knowing how stupid bull markets can be especially at the peak (though I'm definitely not betting on it).

With XRP though, some people are expecting the infamous "XRP to $589" thing lmao which is simply fundamentally impossible.
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Btt staking and buying stradegy on: December 22, 2023, 05:35:19 AM
I've been done with this coin for a long time, and consider it just one of those shitcoins that once gave profit to its holders but more experienced huge losses because they thought the price of this coin could reach $0.05 / 1000 BTT.
Unit bias is a pandemic. There's a reason why a lot of people are bullish on Cardano and XRP just because they're "cheap"(unit price is just low) thinking it's going to hundreds or something.

Now I think this thread is more of a shilling thread than just pure sharing because of the words that have been used. Cheesy
"Lots of funds will flow into this coin." "One of the performers that's the only low cap." FYI, BTT has a market cap of nearly a billion dollars. Is that a low market cap? Yes don't compare it with the likes of Bitcoin, and other top altcoins out there, but a project that has almost a billion dollars in market cap is considered a huge one already.

Don't shill BTT because, after all, it has been at the top 100 for a long time. They don't need your shilling because they've been there for a long time. I'm not doing the same, and I might not touch that coin as well. If you bought that coin then staked it then that's good because there might be some who are doing the same. If you see BTT as a good long term coin to hold then so be it. Don't convince us especially those newbies out there.
My mind is boggled on how $1 billion mcap is considered "lowcap" lmao that's not even an opinion it's simply factually wrong.
490  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ‘MS Drainer’ scammers used Google Ads to swipe $59M in crypto: Report on: December 22, 2023, 05:24:28 AM
Tip for the readers: Install the uBlock Origin browser plugin.

Do you know that people don't just go around clicking on ad links? They come across some mistakenly switching over to a tab where an ad automatically opens for them while browsing a particular web page.

I personally know a lot of people who barely even know how to use a computer, and I'll say that A LOT of them do click on Google ads; as people usually click on the first/second result on Google(which mostly is an ad).
491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Argentina has approved Bitcoin as their "official" currency. on: December 22, 2023, 04:54:50 AM
Re: Argentina has approved Bitcoin as their "official" currency.

You probably need to change your title. Argentina legalizing bitcoin as an official currency is very different from making bitcoin their official currency; the latter somewhat implies that bitcoin is now their main currency.
492  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: address reuse within Electrum on: December 22, 2023, 03:18:16 AM
Not sure if I understand what you're asking here: but you can only send from the address that you received the coins to. It's technically not possible to receive funds from wallet1, and send the funds from wallet2.
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which currency do you prefer to use for BTC/LTC/ETH transactions? on: December 22, 2023, 03:07:38 AM
If you care about fee then you will be choose (LTC/ETH).

If you care about fees then you won't be using Ethereum lmao. We're not even in a truly full-fledged bull market yet and Ethereum fees are already in the $2 range; guaranteed to be far higher than that if the markets go bonkers.
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which currency do you prefer to use for BTC/LTC/ETH transactions? on: December 21, 2023, 04:07:57 PM
In 2023 you're far better off just using stablecoins(USDC/USDT) on Tron or Solana. Back in the day LTC and XRP is the way to go because it's cheaper and it's faster, but now that stablecoins exist there's no reason to not use them.

Also, Ethereum is pretty expensive.
495  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Arbitrage as Business on: December 21, 2023, 03:54:16 PM
Wouldn’t be the best of ideas not to share. Sharing ideas is what the forum is about isn’t it. Although, I get it that it’s up to you on what principles you keep and I understand the fact that, the less crowd as per people offering a service, the more profitable and availability of customers your going to get. Still, you could always share, I know you can.

If sharing something(in general) would dilute your potential profit then it's mostly dumb to share depending on the circumstances — this is one of them. Especially if you're trying to arb coins/tokens that aren't being arbed by the bigger players.
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Btt staking and buying stradegy on: December 21, 2023, 10:57:51 AM
Bruh what do you mean smallcap BTT's marketcap is $1 billion. How is that small cap? It's even in the #66 rank. Not because its unit price($0.00000114) is very low doesn't make it cheap. The price is just very low because the supply is very high.

Not saying that BTT won't go up, because in bull markets even the stupidest crap pumps, I really think you shouldn't be "investing" if you don't know those very basic stuff.
497  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Arbitrage as Business on: December 20, 2023, 06:29:20 PM
Arbitrage trading is discouraged by many community members, even by the many platforms.

Is it really? Platforms should actually thank arbitrageurs because arbitrageurs make asset prices across exchanges more aligned/accurate, so there wouldn't be huge price discrepancies over multiple exchanges; and simply due to the fact that arbitraging still gives trading volume(hence fees).
498  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Arbitrage as Business on: December 20, 2023, 11:00:16 AM
Did you know that you could make money in Crypto through arbitrage? I believe arbitrage is a Business!

There are lots of opportunities that could be explored during these moments and as we head to the bull run, let us explore them!

For example, one could buy coins cheaply in China or any other country and sell it at a higher rate to a country where there is high demand for the coin.
Arbitraging has existed since forever mate.

For us to enlighten one another, what could be some of these countries that are in high demand of Bitcoin or USDt & how can we leverage on arbitrage opportunities?
If I know of a good arbitrage opportunity, I'd do it myself, and not let everyone know about it.

Do you think this is an avenue that we can potentially use to earn a living and be financially free?
It's much of an avenue like getting a job and starting a business is — it will totally depend on how good you are at it.
499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CRO wallet address starting with ''cro'' on: December 20, 2023, 07:33:48 AM
Surprising how no one mentioned the actual native wallet for Cronos — it's Keplr. Cronis is in the Cosmos IBC ecosystem so it's going to be Keplr. MetaMask is only for Ethereum and EVM chains.

You can use your hardware wallet with it as well.

500  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How dangerous are email phishing links and youtube and twitter links? on: December 20, 2023, 06:31:32 AM
1. Just don't click on them, even if it's unlikely that you're going to get infected by clicking the link alone

2. If you're receiving a shit ton of spam emails, time to change your email address

3. 99% likely that these scammers/spammers got your email through leaked databases of crypto-related platforms

P.S. Having questions is great, but man calm down it's pretty difficult to answer like a thread of 20 questions.  Cheesy
