141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where to Look for ICOs (and speculate with the prices) on: July 23, 2023, 01:03:50 PM
icos/ipos already mainstream in crypto industry if you can join that coin will be huge in the future, considering youre got lucky, cus its hard to invest for the real project, those time already passed before 2018
in todays world only whale can access those join ventures in exchange coin offering. normal people can join icos meaning red flags for today standar. there is no easy way these day. good luck and enjoy the waves

The concept of an ICO primarily revolves around projects raising funds for themselves independently. From my observation, this approach doesn't seem fundamentally distinct from current practices in the space. Recently, there has been a limited number of IEOs hosted by exchanges. As a result, new projects are now resorting to IDOs conducted on their websites. Despite showcasing significant developments, these projects are facing challenges in gaining investors' trust, leading to difficulties in reaching their soft cap fundraising goals.

143  Economy / Economics / Re: New currency from BRICS countries on: July 22, 2023, 06:43:36 PM
It appears that the US is gradually recognizing the potential threat to its economy, but it seems to be resorting to its usual approach of pressuring African countries, warning them about potential consequences if they don't comply. The US has assigned Nuland to visit South Africa before the upcoming BRICS meeting, aiming to convince them to align with their position. Additionally, four more countries have joined, bringing the total number of supporters to 44.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would You Advise People To Stake? on: July 21, 2023, 09:38:16 PM
In my personal view, the true altseason is likely to occur after the halving event and when Bitcoin surpasses its all-time high, which is expected to happen sometime after May 2024. Considering this projection, it appears reasonable to consider staking within the next year, as the coins will be securely held in a wallet and offer an attractive 17% return during this relatively safe period
145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to know a good bitcoin investors! on: July 21, 2023, 04:14:57 PM
The topic arises when the animosity of bitcoin maximalists on the forum and Twitter towards altcoin holders is at its minimum. It is now the wisest course of action for bitcoin maximalists to embrace the potential benefits of both altcoins and bitcoins, fostering authentic discussions across all platforms. This will enable them to devise the most effective strategies and execute them at the opportune moment
146  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is more profiting self trade or AI on: July 20, 2023, 07:54:15 PM
I discovered that AI has its limitations, particularly in terms of lacking access to high-quality and up-to-date data for precise predictions. Moreover, it struggles to cope with unforeseen market manipulations and the inherent risks associated with the unpredictable behavior of traders and the cryptocurrency market as a whole.
147  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Rape and Paternity fraud. on: July 20, 2023, 12:52:08 PM
The varying factors influencing this issue are dependent on countries and continents. In Europe and North America, the focus appears to be more on financial implications and attacks on one's reputation. Conversely, in Africa, the prevailing motive seems to be centered around seeking revenge.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DogonSwap - Exciting new IDOs coming in 1 day on: July 19, 2023, 07:00:59 PM
While I don't intend to be pessimistic, I believe that projects relying solely on their social media presence for crowdfunding may face challenges, especially if they do not actively pursue strong partnerships. In my opinion, it would be wise to wait for a few successful projects to gain momentum and attract funds before launching the new crowdfunding initiative. This approach will allow the money to circulate within the ecosystem and create a more favorable environment for their own project's success
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syntrum 🚀 Blockchain Infrastructure for DeFi, Gaming and NFT 🚀 Gas-free on: July 16, 2023, 09:04:45 PM
Unfortunately, the project encountered a setback during the initial stage of crowdfunding as it failed to generate sufficient funds, leading to the suspension of the campaign until further notice. Many similar cases have shown that once the momentum is lost, it becomes challenging to revive the interest and support. I attempted to convey to the team that there were signs indicating that the proposed campaign might not be able to raise enough funds.
150  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Retiring on bitcoin on: July 15, 2023, 09:09:07 PM
Retire from? Definitely you can retire from you work and all but can you retire from making more Bitcoin? I don't it's wise to go out of improving your finances regardless of the amount you feel you have

I think that's the essence of Bitcoin as an investment, to save you the stress of nine to five jobs that gives you no time for yourself, but with Crypto-currency you can still keep going financial but you become your own boss.
I have come across multiple questions of this nature, but I find it difficult to grasp the concept of retiring solely to invest in Bitcoin and not engage in any other activities. In my opinion, this approach might not be the wisest choice for one's overall well-being. Diversification seems like a more prudent strategy, particularly when it comes to investments that generate a regular income and provide the freedom to manage one's time effectively.
151  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Drainage is not a dump yard on: July 15, 2023, 09:00:16 PM
It's beneficial that the forum offers a platform for us, just like other countries with a thriving crypto scene. However, we should exercise caution when discussing negative aspects of our country in a language that can be easily understood by everyone. Every nation faces its own set of challenges, even though ours might appear particularly frustrating at times.
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Argentina Launches it's First Bitcoin Futures Contract, Brazil To Follow.. on: July 14, 2023, 02:45:06 PM
Countries with the worst economy situation are the main crypto adopters. Hope that crypto will help them
We mustn't view cryptocurrency solely as a realm reserved for economically prosperous nations or individuals. If people with the right trading strategy and adequate initial funds can find their place in this space, they should be welcomed. Additionally, considering that Brazil and Argentina are among the most populated countries, it is crucial to embrace their participation to bolster the numbers and diversity of cryptocurrency users.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Former SEC Chair Says Bitcoin ETF Should be Approved on: July 13, 2023, 08:33:51 PM
This individual should not be given any attention as he was opposed to Bitcoin trading when he was a boss. It is important to highlight the significance of the word 'should' in his comment. Furthermore, I suspect this comment may have been influenced by financial considerations towards the previous boss from Blackrock company due to the presented ETF.
154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shuting down all bitcoin ATMs illegally operating in Uk on: July 12, 2023, 08:35:36 PM
It is truly astonishing to uncover the staggering prevalence of illegal usage, exceeding 76%. It is difficult to fathom that such unlawful activities are being carried out openly. It comes as no surprise that those who have legally acquired ownership and are contending with an illicit user base are the ones reporting and exposing this issue.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BTCX] BitcoinX Cryptocurrency is just launched on: July 11, 2023, 09:50:47 PM
The site has a virus and all links have a virus

 Yeah man...

It is incorrect to continue promoting a project if no action is being taken to address the viral infestation on the website.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cryptopia.in - Your Gateway to the Cryptocurrency Universe! on: July 11, 2023, 09:44:14 PM
Just to refresh your memory, there was an exchange called Cryptopia a few years back. Is there any connection or association with it?

No. Cryptopia.in, in fact, does not qualify as an exchange. I kindly request you to examine the platform firsthand, and only then will I enthusiastically address any inquiries you may have. I sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Thank you.

I think they are referring to cryptopia.co.nz which is an exchange with lots of issues.

For more info:

Twitter Cryptopia
CoinDesk Cryptopia
Facebook Cryptopia

I am aware of it. Thanks anyway.
I believe that using the exact name of a failed project in the platform's name could deter individuals with experience in the exchange from ever visiting, unless sufficient awareness is generated among potential visitors.

159  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is justice really blind? on: July 08, 2023, 04:46:13 PM
In America, you can't be tried for the same crime twice.

Cool

It can be challenging to trust the court's decision when they incarcerate someone for a murder where no body was discovered. Without any concrete evidence to establish the death of the alleged victim, except for a case of mistaken identity involving a different corpse, it becomes difficult to accept the ruling.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: GlobeDex Crypto Trading Platform on: July 07, 2023, 09:01:43 PM
I've noticed a few trends regarding exchanges and social media recently. Firstly, there seems to be a lack of information regarding the volume of trades and recent trading activities. It's difficult to find specific details about recent trades on the exchange. Secondly, both the Twitter and Telegram handles associated with the exchange have been inactive for the past two weeks. I hope everything is alright and there are no issues affecting the exchange's operations.
