321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 QUALIFIERS. on: March 24, 2023, 08:52:59 PM
Nigeria will play host to Guinea-Bissau tomorrow 24th March, 2023 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, in the Federal Capital Territory. This is for the African Nation Cup Qualification match. Nigeria tops the table with 6 points and Guinea-Bissau in second place with 4 points.

I would say Nigeria will win but I won't because the last time they played in that stadium they lost woefully. I will chose to remain neutral here. What do you think? Which team do you think will win this first leg?
Could it be true that a stadium has anything to do with the Nigerian team's success, especially on their home soil? It is also believed that homegrown coaches are not capable of winning on the big stage. Is there a difference between countries using indigenous coaches in foreign countries and countries that use foreign coaches.
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to accept crypto payments? on: March 24, 2023, 08:39:48 PM
I am wondering what are the ways to accept crypto payments in an online business. Should I share my wallet address and ask clients to send payments to it? Isn't it troublesome? Payments could be sent to the wrong wallet address and also it would be difficult to manage the transaction history. What should I do?
There are various payment gateway systems provided by various third-party sites for accepting payments through cryptocurrencies.  If you want to accept payments in cryptocurrency for your online business, you can set up payment gateways from third-party sites or if you've created a wordpress site, you can easily get some plugins to accept cryptocurrency payments that can be installed easily.  You can set the payment gateway.  By which a customer can easily pay you through cryptocurrency.  And you don't have to give your personal wallet to anyone.  A separate wallet will be generated for each customer. If you can't do it yourself.  Then you can hire a dev to do it easily
Would you consider this type of third party to be safe? What if this party absconds with the fund, especially where security agencies cannot intervene or interfere?
323  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much return are we expecting next bull run? on: March 23, 2023, 06:02:01 PM
Have been in crypto just over a year now so have yet to experience a bull market and up till now I have just bought and held.

Currently my portfolio is 10% down and am not planning on selling any until I 2x at least.

Bitcoin takes up 30% of my portfolio with the rest in altcoins.

What is everyone expecting in 2024/25 bull run? Is a 10x a good return or should we be hoping for more?
Similar to stocks, cryptocurrency has a bull and bear market cycle over four years. Nobody can predict how big the market will be in the bull and many predictions failed last time around. Additionally, I believe the bigger the price, the smaller the price multiplication, so manage your expectations carefully and have an early exit price in mind. Anything above 100k is good for bitcoin and above 30k is good for Ethereum
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future is looking good for P2e games on: March 23, 2023, 05:46:10 PM
Most play-to-earn games lack balance, prioritizing earning rewards over gameplay quality, balance, or fairness. For an existing project, will this balance be provided for players more interested in playing than earning rewards?
325  Economy / Economics / Re: The problem with Credit Suisse and banking sector. on: March 22, 2023, 06:19:24 PM
Today, the US Federal Reserve declared an increase in interest rates of 25 basis points, bringing the range to 4.75% to 5%. This marks the highest rate since 2007, just before the worldwide financial crisis. Prior to the announcement, experts had differing opinions on whether the US central bank would proceed with a rate hike or choose to pause, given the turbulence in the US banking industry
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from crypto influencers on: March 22, 2023, 05:54:37 PM
They are just scamming others and taking money for getting more attraction for their channel in a sense and another scam is that, they are just doing it for paid youtube videos. Instead they are getting money for it. So, it would be better to make your own strategy for the coins instead of following them on different channels and listen to them.
There have been revelations about the size of the compensation they receive, and they are often able to dump their token early without being affected by a dump. It has even been reported that some people have been privy to the dumps, and when you accuse them, they get back at you with the excuse that you didn't do your own due diligence before investing. Honestly, who could believe the bitboy story?
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking advice needed on: March 21, 2023, 04:36:39 PM
For a long term holder / investor, what are the risks available with staking coins and tokens that you plan to hold for a long period of time? I want to know if its safe to keep your coins in staking instead of just holding them in a wallet when your ultimate plan is to hold for long term.
I avoid staking my coins because of the liquidity risk, meaning I may not be able to access them when I need them, especially in bullish markets. Especially long-term coin holders may be concerned about this since they may want to sell their coins in the future, a future that can be unpredictable.
328  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoin hold, sell or trade?? on: March 21, 2023, 03:37:33 PM

What stage are we in the market?
Considering the current market, there is a lot that is missing towards the end of the chart, while the market is already picking up. It might have had an anger phase, but there has been no depression or disbelief. It is possible that another chart will be produced in the future

This is an interesting chart by CryptoInAByte (https://twitter.com/CryptoInAByte/status/1624190669693526017?s=20). It is a little different and it spread from 2023-2026. I dont believe the bull market prediction into 2025

If you pull up a monthly chart for CS you will see that it had many issues long time ago. Compare that chart to other banks and you can see that it must of been doing something wrong if the stock kept tanking this much year after year.

About 6 months ago the CDS went very high and many assumed it would default then. However it lived another 6 months before the Silvergate bank closure caused enough panic and bank runs for it to finally fail.
Even the government is not able to provide help because of the prevailing global crisis. Thus, I still believe that the banks failed due to poor management and the prevailing financial crisis in the world.  These banks aren't all new and are top-ranking in their countries, providing good interest rates and loans to their citizens. Most citizens now are struggling with debt and are unable to pay it back, resulting in an unbalanced financial situation and bankruptcy
331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 20, 2023, 03:13:08 PM
This Chelsea team is just not ready to make any changes in terms of play or even the line up, Potter is just responsible for all that's happening to the Blues at the moment, is as if he's clueless. I wonder how he's going to manage the team against Real Madrid that's not even happy with their current situation.
Well, let see if after this break if G.Potter can get the best of advice or he can go back and watch some of those matches he lost and then correct his errors. IMO I don't want Potter to be fired, let him learn how to manage a big club instead of running off the club.
there are many great coaches who are unemployed but why is potter still being maintained by chelsea owners, with the composition of the chelsea squad which is one of the best in the world at this time they should already be in the top 5 but until now chelsea is ranked 10th with 38 points. before facing madrid in the ucl, chelsea will face liverpool, it seems that the match will end in a draw.
Potter was unable to reject a contract made by the management, which was so strong that he couldn't say no to it. In the case of the 50 million dollars to get out of Brighton, which also took over three years, I believe experience and the right staff prevented such a mistake from happening with Abrahamovic, and Tuchel, who had just an 18 month contract, he seized the opportunity. It is difficult to say no to chelsea though.
332  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's not safe to be a crypto influencer on: March 20, 2023, 11:00:04 AM
A new class-action lawsuit alleges crypto influencers, including Ben Armstrong, aka BitBoy, promoted FTX without disclosing compensation.

It's better to read the news first before jump into conclusion if Bitboy was sued because he's promoting FTX, but he was sued because he's not disclosing his compensation for promoting FTX. Let's imagine FTX is still exist until now, Bitboy will still get lawsuit because he's hiding his compensation, he want to avoid paying high tax and it's considered as illegal for U.S.

What's make become a crypto influencer isn't safe because he will become a target by $5 wrench attack Robbery that attacks Bitcoin Holders.
Bitboy_Crypto plans to respond with a countersuit. Is there any update on that? Does he have a good chance of defending himself? The majority of influencers do this for projects and most of the time the project always approaches the influencer for promotion. It is hard for influencers to put to the public what they are already compensated for, and I don't think anyone aware of this wouldn't consider their opinion to be biased already.
333  Other / Politics & Society / Re: International Criminal Court issues arrest warrant for Russian President Putin on: March 19, 2023, 11:04:28 AM
Everyone is anticipating how the announcement will play out to prosecute Vladmir Putin in the coming months. I understand there are some things that are very wrong with war and the way the soldier treated Ukrainians. Nevertheless, this announcement has also been viewed through the lens of the political game america is playing with organizations, since America is also involved in war and has been identified as committing some crimes, yet leaders have threatened the ICC with repercussions if it goes ahead with an investigation, not even penalising the government. One of the saddest things about Russia's leadership is that their freedom rate for citizens is 13%, which is terribly low for a country in the first world.

Xinfin appears to be very much alive, and they are silently working on the development of the project. With its growing ecosystem, XDC Network has launched several ecosystems, including Fathom (PLI), Plugin (PLI), Impel, StorX (SRX), Comtech Gold (CGO), LedgerFi (LFT), and XVC TechXDC. As part of the ETHDubai Online Hackathon, the project announced a $10,000 bounty for developers who deploy on XDC Network or any layer2 infrastructure.

It seems the project is back, I notice Irfan has started a new campaign to generate new interest for the project and token, the team did not make the most of the last bull market, I saw rubbish project launch their tokens and able to gain traction, hope this time they will be able to get it right. I don't know their full plan now but it seems they are looking to raise new capital for the project
It was just a bad time for the project to enter the market, many projects that came at that time had a similar trend, though some may not have been delisted. They seem to have learned from their first launch, Irfan was the bounty manager, of course they met all their promises, and I think this is what contributed to the support from investors.
336  Economy / Speculation / Re: The SVB failure will help BTC alot. on: March 18, 2023, 07:56:18 AM

And there's the FED next week giving some updates about interest rates. I guess all of these happenings will pile and stock up to each other contributing to the gain for bitcoin.

People who don't know like bitcoin will have to admit themselves that there's no other solution for these banking failures but only to hold their own assets through bitcoin.

Eventually, more haters will turn and be open to bitcoin because of these centralized banking biggest fails of history. And what's worrying is if it happened this time, it's possible that it may happen again in the future.
According to some information from the last cycle, some VCs did not refund their loans. Despite not knowing many VCs that received loans, I understand how the three arrows lost massive amounts of money in the market, so we have many more cases like this.
337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 17, 2023, 08:41:58 PM
Despite the fact that it can be worked with, I am very certain there will be an upset in the predictions. Even though Manchester City is predicted to win the cup, they have not been consistent in the league or other cups.
338  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Feel Inadequate or Inspired After Watching These Types of Traders Content on: March 17, 2023, 06:56:09 PM
Despite the fact that I don't want to sound racist, the extravagant display or spending of wealth is a peculiar feature of some races. You rarely see Germans, Chinese, and Jews showing off their wealth, this is more common among the young men though. Bitcoin made some people rich overnight, while others mishandled it until they lost everything owing to their lavish lifestyles. Make sure you don't learn the wrong things from those guys; learn how to build wealth, plan your finances for the long term, and keep your standard of living low.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRE-SALE] XIRCUS 🚀 FIRST MULTI-CHAIN NFT MARKETPLACE CREATION PLATFORM on: March 16, 2023, 04:17:31 PM
I lost track of the announcement thread for this project and was willing to ask the bounty manager for one until I saw this. Since the bounty, I have followed the project and have seen consistency in the development of the project as well as keeping it followers informed about developments. The project, however, only provides a channel for the project without access to chat, discussion, and I'm not sure if there is a team member available to answer important questions here. As the project is in the process of launching a new cryptocurrency in few weeks, I really want to know what will happen to previous holders of the coin?
340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 16, 2023, 03:45:06 PM
I'm sure a lot of us here hat goals in Real - Liverpool right ? The game really looked like no one could score if no one makes a mistake or big luck is involved and that is exactly what happened because Real scored by luck in my opinion but on the other side , Liverpool had no power to score 1 goal ? I mean , it doesn't even looked they were trying or maybe Real is really that good in defense.
Liverpool are not confident about a comeback to even qualify for the quarter-finals, I think it is also difficult for Liverpool to score 4 goals against Madrid without replying, on the contrary, Madrid scored 1 additional goal in this second leg, I think people already know yesterday's match the result is that madrid will advance to the quarter-finals.  Wink
There were a lot of reasons to believe Liverpool would lose, remember they were playing the defending champion with the most experience and victories in the game. Their deficit of 5-2 was too much to overcome, plus they were playing in a stadium with similar size and a similar atmosphere. It's unfortunate that Liverpool is having a bad run of games with a loss against a lower-league team in their last match, this result was not good for Real madrid game
