Metamask on: February 17, 2021, 01:26:13 PM

144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do ordinary people feel afraid of Bitcoin? on: February 15, 2021, 09:33:36 PM
Someone told me not long ago: Bitcoin is a dangerous game. It is even possible for some people or groups to take over the blockchain through a majority and destroy the entire mechanism. People don't know they are playing these games.

For a long time buying Google at a high price, Amazon and Apple are both good choices for me.

Yes, there are a lot of stocks there, there are also cryptocurrencies, there are also many bonds and debt instruments.
In the US, there are obviously 9,600 mutual funds (quick Google search)
. The question is, which of the thousands is worth buying.

Just because some or many of the available options are not good investments, it does not mean that the entire asset class is bad.

The prosperity of encryption technology is just like the technological prosperity. They have got a lot of IPOs because of various stupid ideas. Most of these technology companies are stupid and not worth it.
Nowadays, there are many ICOs, most of them are stupid and not worth it.

However, there are still opportunities to realize value.

Also about digital assets. Digital assets have become a reality.
Did you know that Fortnite had nearly $2 billion in revenue last year?
Do you know what these billion users got? Different appearances in the game can give characters different dance moves.
You can play the exact same game without paying any fees.

Every direction connected with investment and money is dangerous. In my opinion lots of people who are afraid of changing something in their lifes of course are afraid of Bitcoin also. It is easier for them to tell that it is bad or risky than to make steps, learn in deep and even may be to risk.
145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy Valentines Day on: February 14, 2021, 09:21:07 PM
Valentine's Day is being celebrated throughout the world. Most of the people who are celebrating the day doesn't know from which point it has started. Does anyone have specific plans to gift your love with some form of cryptocurrency related gifts. I've made plans of gifting my love with Bitcoins. Myself a failed experiment in gambling lost everything, so I've made a simple edit and send her a pic for this valentine's day. Maybe in the future I'll present her with some good amount in terms of bitcoin. Love is all about sharing and she's one that has good understanding about bitcoin.

Creative and beautiful card, honestly. It is a good present in Bitcoin or in some other crypto for a person that is ingaged into crypto world and knows what to do with this present after this date))) Some thoughts like that to present to my sweetheart Bitcoins or some other crypto sometimes come to my mind. He would be really very happy I think. May be one day I will fulfill this idea into life.
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Cryptocurrency with visa and mastecard on: February 13, 2021, 04:58:44 PM
Coming legal legit.
So what's the next step once the cryptocurrency is legal?

First of all it will not be everywhere, because we all know that not all countries are friendly to cryptocurrencies. Another one important point - what to do or what you will be able to do with crypto, everything will depend on the concrete country and its laws and regulations, it will depend on what you will be allowed or not allowed to do. So it is a very wide question, and answers will very individual.
147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Updated list of countries that are not friends to Bitcoin. on: February 13, 2021, 04:46:32 PM
Yes, not so long ago Nigeria had been included to such kind of list, and it is really the situation there is unsuitable for crypto users even to mine, because you can not use your crypto assets, it is a pity. And hope this strict decision and regulation will change very soon. In my opinion this list may become longer, this is always the case. But nowadays we see such a tendency like famous persons and influential organizations started promote Bitcoin, invest into BTC or accept it as the means of payment. So I hope that such a positive trend will shorten the list of countries that is not friendly to Bitcoin and crypto.
148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Founder of the most technological bank in the world, Monobank, supported Bitcoin on: February 11, 2021, 10:00:48 PM
Here is a link to post in original:  https://www.facebook.com/oleg.gorohovsky/posts/4223629847665641
And here is my short video with translation and few words on Monobank
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpqPHlgXkYc

First of all I read this post in Facebook from some Oleg Gorohovsky that mentioned Ilon Musk, and that he believes in Bitcoin and it's future. Personally I do not take seriously different opinions about investing or not investing, but I also believe in good future of Bitcoin. And nowadays there is such a trend nowadays to accept Bitcoin as the means for payments or statements about investing into it. Monobank is not the exception.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: FreeWallet locked even Elon Musk. I still don't trust them. on: February 11, 2021, 09:32:10 PM
In the bright side, locking the account was the right thing to do. In case it was not the real Elon Musk? At least now there are no doubt left.
Elon may be trolling them and may not even have any accounts with this company. It is hard to believe someone who claims to believe in bitcoin for such a long time is using some poorly created web wallet for his billion dollar worth of bitcoins!

First my reaction was the same that something is false in this story, but after I checked their accounts and read their comments to each other I was laughing. LOL it is really funny. 😂😂 But some thought came to my mind - may be Ilon was trolling them, but imagine how many people have checked already, and will check the Twitter account of Freewallet, information about this wallet in case someone did not know about it, and in some strange way they became more popular in a day after Ilon's comments. May be it was such a veiled publicity stunt?))) 😁😁
150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I regret selling BTC for entering DeFi. HODLing is the way! on: February 11, 2021, 09:00:47 PM
I learned the hard way that Hodling BTC is the only way. I wanted to grow my BTC so i sold my 1BTC @32K a month ago and put that money in DeFi for yield farming in those high APY. I took some losses and some gains. Now BTC jumped 47K. If i would have just HODL all this way i would have more USDT then if i buy BTC now. Lesson i Learned: Yield farming is useless. People put so much at risk entering smart contract not to mention the daily time waste. Just HODL and you would have more more money than anyone yield farming in long run.

DeFi is a good and attractive topic and direction nowadays, but it's risky features nobody's cancelled. Of course our experience is a very valuable thing for all times and it is a pity that very often we get our experience through losses and regrets. And of course it is absolutely  useless to say now you should better invest into DeFi assets from some other resource, not touching assets in BTC. But nowadays the step was done and result will not change. DeFi is really attractive, but nowadays it is a hype direction. And it will not last forever in my opinion. At least not for all DeFi projects that appear nowadays, because only some percentage will stay alive after some time, only strongest projects. But holding Bitcoin is quite another thing.
151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UBER will start to transact with Bitcoin? on: February 11, 2021, 08:51:25 PM
Just recently SQUAWK newsmaker interview with the CEO of UBER.
At first, the CEO said, they are likely don't want to buy some Bitcoin using their company's money and told, "We're going to keep our cash safe. - Tweet"

But after that, the CEO said:
"Just like we accept all kinds of local currency we are going to look at cryptocurrency and or #bitcoin in terms of currency to transact. That's good for business, that's good for our riders and our eaters" - Tweet.

So, what are your thoughts guys? For me, it's likely they don't want to do what Tesla did, adding Bitcoin to their balance sheet, but considering accepting Bitcoin as payments for their services. Seems still bullish for me.

In my opinion their aim is to get more clients via such step and that is all. They do not want to become involved into this trend to invest in Bitcoin and the CEO answered directly - they prefer cash, because it will be more safe, he consider Bitcoin risky. But they want to make the potential area of users wider and get those clients that are not covered yet. That is why via wider spectre of company's propositions they are going to attract wider auditory among potential clients. That is all. It is his choice. Everything is simple
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nigeria government did not ban bitcoin on: February 11, 2021, 07:58:24 PM
On February 05, 2021, the central bank of Nigeria prohibit any regulated institution dealing with bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, such institutions accounts were ordered to be closed.

But, Nigerians should still know that bitcoin and other crypto assets are not banned in the country, only the banking aspect of it are restricted.

“As regards our recent policy pronouncement, it is important to clarify that the CBN circular of February 5, 2021 did not place any new restrictions on cryptocurrencies, given that all banks in the country had earlier been forbidden, through CBN’s circular dated January 12, 2017, not to use, hold, trade and/or transact in cryptocurrencies.

So, carrying out p2p is not forbidden or any other thing related to cryptocurrencies like mining remain legal as they are beyond the power of the CBN. What do you people think about this?

This banking aspect paralyze lots of opportunities to crypto users. Even in case you mine that is not forbidden by this regulation, there will be a great problem to use your mined coins, because noone is allowed to accept as the means of payment or you will not able to cash out your assets - exchanges are also not allowed to use. So in Nigeria you may only hold and wait for better times with more suitable situation for cryptocurrencies. In my opinion it will not last forever. Governors change after sone periods, and policy changes aldo with them. Stay positive.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 years and no country has approved Bitcoin ?? on: February 11, 2021, 07:40:58 PM
:)Bitcoin was launched in 2007. It's 12 years and still no country has approved Bitcoin ??   Huh

and in 2018, 2nd richest man "Warren Buffet" said "bitcoin will end up badly" Smiley

It is impossible to approve something that you can not control or where you will not be able to dictate rules. Government can approve things that can become controlled by it fully or partially. What about decentralized things, in this direction government has only possibility to control things and processes that may be connected with crypto for example, your declaring assets in your native money equivalent, or you buy equipment for mining, or licenses for exchanges, but the decentralized thing itself is outside their control and opportunity to approve it.
154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin make someone the richest in the world? on: February 10, 2021, 03:10:24 PM
I came to investigate the richest man in Africa, he is not a bitcoin users, but a business man who don't depend on bitcoin investment.
The richest man in the world, he is not a bitcoin users but a business man who use fiat Money to invest and make a good profit.
Is there any way someone can use bitcoin to invest and become the richest in the world?
Your opinion is needed.

First of all rich people not always are public and they do not always share to the whole World their thoughts or all sources of their wealthy. The richest person in Africa is not the onliest one, there is a list of them - some of them invested in diamonds, oil and retail, some of them are industrials or owners of conglomerates or companies that made them rich.
And the second important thing - everyone tryes his own possibilities and moves his own way in order to reach something, and it may be metal, gold or oil, or it may be cryptocurrencies, finances and so on. And some people may become rich because of lucky circumstances 😉🙂 like lots of people who invested in Bitcoin at the very start, they even did not imagine that may wake up some day millionaires))) So it depends on the person and on what is more suitable personally to him.
155  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ZEBEDEE to integrate bitcoin to CS:GO on: February 10, 2021, 02:39:26 PM
In the near future, you can earn some bitcoin while playing the popular fps game called Counter-Strike: Global Offensive or what we know as CS:GO. Thanks to bitcoin startup ZEBEDEE, they will launch a CSGO server where players can earn based on their performance on the game.

Players will pay as low as 100 satoshi and depending on their KDA(kill, death, assist) ratio, they can get a share of the total prize based on their performance of the final game result. They can cashout anytime and it will be handled by the Lightning Network.

This will open a lot of opportunities for online games not only on fps to integrate bitcoin. This is good news for gamers but also has some disadvantages because it will increase the rate of game addiction unless they put a maximum amount to earn daily or monthly.

Full info: https://decrypt.co/56625/counter-strike-win-bitcoin-zebedee

"Cowell said he believes the ZEBEDEE integration will change the world of informal esports gaming the same way Robinhood opened up the world of stock trading". - this phrase is key for me in this article. I remember thus moment with Robinhood in 2018, when they announced a waitlist for commission-free cryptocurrency trading. This waitlist had grown to more than 1,250,000 after this announcement in a day. Robinhood opened the opportunity for trading Bitcoin and Ethereum to lots of users. CS:GO is famous and popular worldwide and ZEBEDEE moving towards the Bitcoin acceptance is making a great step in its own history and in whole.
156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why was Musk so late to the party? / or Publically support BTC on: February 10, 2021, 01:50:06 PM
Musk was involved with paypal, and has access to a lot of high tech and high tech advisors.

Why then was he so late to support BTC?

Interesting question. It was really surprising for the society. But in my opinion, it is never too late to invest in Bitcoin or to do steps towards it. In addition to this Musk is a rich busy person and it seems to me that Bitcoin was not his priority for last years. Despite of the fact that he is successful and rich, he is a human like others with his dreams, plans, preferences, choices, mistakes or successful decisions and so on.  Sometimes people change their minds, change their directions and in case it works for personal and general purposes, so it is not late))
157  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Keep bitcoin in Coinbase or move to a private wallet? on: February 10, 2021, 01:38:46 PM
I have up to 9 days to think about it, since Coinbase won't let me withdraw until the payment settles, which they said up to 9 days.

Are there any advantages to keeping bitcoin in Coinbase? Or is it more advantageous to move into a private wallet controlled only by myself (such as Samouri Wallet)?

Another concern I have is how fees would work and when is the optimal time to withdraw to a private wallet.

No one exchange, even the most reputable one, can guarantee 100% safety to your assets. Everything may happen, starting from hack attack and finishing banal technical error. We know lots of examples of it about even the really trustworthy and famous exchanges. Of course owners of such exchanges value their high reputation and its users and compansate lost assets in most cases, but I do not think that such a risk is worth of it. For trading such amounts that you will not regret to loose are possible for keeping on exchanges why not, but not for a long periods of time. And huge amounts it is better to keep on a wallet with your private keys, seeds - it is a real guarantee for you and your assets. But not forget about important sinple rules of using it and be always vigilant.
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Richest Man in Mexico Updates his Twitter Bio to Include Bitcoin on: February 09, 2021, 07:18:53 PM

Will these steps promote mass adoption?

This recent trend of top world billionaires and CEO's of top conglomerate including #bitcoin in their twitter bio will really do a lot of good and go a long way to promote acceptance and adoption first among their closest friends, family, those who see them as business and investment mentors and also those that see them as competition.
This update further serves to say that these business giants and visionaries believe in the future of btc. It sends a strong statement to those still sitting on the fence and the critics  - "IF THESE BILLIONAIRES ARE BITCOIN BELIEVERS, WHO AM I NOT TO BELIEVE" .

You are quite right, such a thing like - a famous person is rich and successful, he shares openly to the whole world that everything is ok and this coin is checked on his own experience, and how enticing it is you know. Psychologicaly people compare themselves with the successful ones and understand that this thing is trustworthy. Somehow directly or indirectly it makes a great impact on mass adoption and acceptance. And it is not only with Bitcoin, with brands of clothes or gadgets, or a lifestyle. It is a good trend for Bitcoin))
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk is Opening The Pandora Box on: February 09, 2021, 02:51:54 PM

The entrance of Tesla - the very company that is always associated with Elon Musk -- into Bitcoin catapulted the coin into another new ATH at the moment and there is that possibility that soon we can finally see BTC breaking the $50K zone.

With the announcement of the investment of $1.5 Billion into Bitcoin and maybe accepting the coin as payments for its products and services, Elon Musk and Tesla can be opening the big Pandora box for other big corporate entities especially in the USA to also join the fray. Right now, there is that rumor for Apple to also do the same thing.

Such is the power of influence that Elon Musk is having in his fingertips, literally and figuratively. So do you think that this scenario can be possible - the coming in of more corporate buyers into Bitcoin?

The breaking zone in $50k is so close, that everything is looks like very possible. Will see in the nearest future the results. In my opinion this situation that made a real boom in society, and filled in every existing news resource - I do not know what about this investment of $1.5 Billion into Bitcoin, because lots of famous and influential people and organisations make nowadays and made in past investments in Bitcoin, but the announcement about open doors for Bitcoin as the means for payments for Tesla's products and services is a really great step for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. It may become a good tendency. So we may hear new surprising news and names very soon.
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's not a good rise, actually it's bad on: February 09, 2021, 06:54:31 AM
I like the ambitions that Elon Musk has and the charisma that he carries but what's happening right now is very bad. One man has a huge influence on everything, one word of Elon Musk can destroy or rise the things like Phoenix. Tesla invested in Bitcoins and price went from 38K up to 44K in just some hours. Yeah, if Paypal, Visa or any other company bought bitcoin that would happen too but what happens around Musk is very different.
Elon Musk says that Signal is better and everyone moves on that.
Elon Musk says that Doge is a good coin and everyone invest.
Elon Musk says that Bitcoin is a good thing and it rises.
Elon Musk's company invests in bitcoin and it rises.

What if Elon Musk said that he changed his mind and today bitcoin is bad and Ripple is better? I'm saying that just for example. People can't think themselves, they think: If Elon Musk says that something is good, then it's good.

I don't think it's a healthy behaviour from people.

Nothing strange or unhealthy I see in it. It is an ordinary thing. Human is such a creature - emotional, that in most cases chooses things via emotional prizm, starting from goods, clothes, gadgets and finishing with way of living, earning and spending money. May be it will be a great surprise for you, but we are all manipulated, and directly or implicitly are influenced on our choices by lots of factors - advertising drives us, more or less obtrusively (and more or less effectively) influences, encouraging us to choose products, goods, lifestyle, political technologies govern, forcing (just like advertising) to choose those who rule us, to choose the future of our country and our future and so on. And famous names are not the exception. But of course it is great in case a person think by his own brains and control emotions while making decisions, despite all those factors.
