Why don't you use LocalBitcoins, this forum or a regular exchange like The Rock Trading?

1425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are bitcoiners regular at Facebook ? on: October 28, 2014, 06:26:42 PM
Yes, it's true that Bitcoin users don't like Facebook very much because of his privacy issues and several other reasons.
Moreover, consider that WhatsApp too ( which, as you already know, is property of Zuckerberg) is  not widely used by Bitcoiners... most of us prefer Telegram or Kontalk as instant-messaging mobile apps.
1426  Other / MultiBit / Re: How safe it is to use multibit wallet? on: October 28, 2014, 06:19:32 PM
It's not very safe because it requires Java installed on your machine to work.
1427  Other / MultiBit / Re: Soooo I have $100 stuck in my wallet on: October 28, 2014, 06:16:57 PM
My advice is always to copy and paste important passwords from a text file and then to encrypt this text file, copy it on a removable device ( external HDD, USB stick, etc. ) and lastly erase it from the HD.

1431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Re: How 'Anonymous' is Bitcoin? on: October 26, 2014, 09:34:56 PM

Are paid VPN services useful?
I recently tried out paid version of CyberGhost VPN (http://www.cyberghostvpn.com/en) where you can fake your IP to your choice of country.

Does this provide anonymity, given that we use new BTC address for every transaction?

You can also use Security Kiss: http://www.securitykiss.com/
1432  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Introducing Airbitz, Bitcoin Wallet and Business Directory on: October 26, 2014, 09:29:03 PM

1433  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Which Bitcoin wallet is the most secure? on: October 26, 2014, 09:24:19 PM
- Bitcoin Qt
- Armory
- Electrum
- GreenAddress

But Electrum and GreenAddress doesn't need to download the whole blockchain, so I recommend these ones.
1434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Vote, make bitcoin easily to display in machine on: October 26, 2014, 09:20:26 PM
I still prefer 1 BTC = 1,000,000.00 satoshis.
1435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymity tips on: October 26, 2014, 09:18:12 PM
As Bitcoin users it is a common interest on maintain anonymity on the web.

I do have a few questions.

Is TOR enough to conceal one's identity on the web? Not the Deepweb, but on Bitcointalk
If there is an IP leak, do the administrators at Bitcointalk cooperate with efforts to distribute personal information of Bitcointalk users to ISPs?

You can also use a mix cascade method or a multi-hop VPN.
1436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymity tips on: October 26, 2014, 09:14:57 PM
If you aren't doing anything wrong, you have nothing to hide!

This is the ol' naive mentality.
For most of us, privacy is one of the greatest values in our lives, because privacy is the base of freedom.
1437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymity tips on: October 26, 2014, 09:12:01 PM
The only way to be anonymous on the internet is to not be on the internet Wink

Lol  Grin... But it's true...

1439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you work for Bitcoins? (not bitpay etc) on: October 26, 2014, 09:05:54 PM

In any case I am wondering how the future looks for fellow self-employed professionals, will most people be working from home in the nearest hundred years with autonomous businesses appearing?

Yes, I just think so.
Autonomous businesses appearing for autonomous self-employed people.
