1421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An 11 year old kid just launched his ICO on: July 28, 2018, 05:54:54 PM
If 11 year old kid can launch an ICO than this will question whole crypto market, there could be many scammers who can easily start ICO and run away on end. How people gonna trust a 11 year old kid with their money, everybody can make big claims even kid like him can but he couldn't make deals with big companies or gaming platforms.

The launch of ICO isn't an easy task that everyone can do. Although a person is good in one area, it will not be enough. There are still many things that are needed to make the project run as intended which of course will not be / can't be done by a minor.
1422  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the reasons you prefer investment in Bitcoin over other Cryptos? on: July 28, 2018, 04:20:59 PM
I believe investments in Cryptos are the priority for beginners. But most people like Bitcoin since it’s obvious, so are you like that? And if so then what’s the reason for your investment? My reason is that the potential is huge in this as compared to some others, but I do know that higher amount is required to gain more.

Here are some reasons by experts, and I agree most of these but like to see how many of you guys agree with. https://www.asiacryptotoday.com/reasons-you-should-invest-in-bitcoin/

Idk why but for me, investing in bitcoin feels safer than investing in other types of cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin is the first crypto that I know and will probably remain a priority for me for long time.
1423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do alt currencies have value? on: July 28, 2018, 10:39:00 AM
Because of the demand for the coins regardless of why people are looking for them. Maybe they see something promising from a coin or maybe because they're just speculating. I don't follow litecoin very well but as I know this coin has been around for a long time hence something good maybe exist with it.
1424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling addiction mainly due to loneliness and dissatisfaction? on: July 28, 2018, 07:19:37 AM
I don't know whether this argument is true or not. I know a few of these gambling addicts (some of whom happens to be my friends). These people are definitely not lonely or dissatisfied with their lives.

Loneliness and dissatisfaction can be a factor for someone to be addicted to anything but that does not apply to everyone. Sometimes the lonely people will make gambling a means to vent their solitude and gradually make gambling a routine activity.
1425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: holding and prices will go up ? on: July 27, 2018, 05:56:30 PM
Holding them and waiting for the prices to go up will need patience. Most of peoples are not patient and want to sell them right away. All we need is waiting for the development.

But do not forget that there is no guarantee if we hold it for a longer time with high patience, then the price will definitely increase. The chance for a coin to be a shitcoin also exists, so even though we hold it forever, we will not get anything. Not all coins will have a good development!
1426  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short term vs. Long term investments on: July 26, 2018, 08:22:30 PM
I think that all people act differently and it is easier for someone to trade every day, but to someone it's easier to buy coins and forget about them for a while

Yes, Everyone has their own style and is certainly tailored to their background. Short-term trading would be ideal for those who have more time in the crypto world. They can accumulate profits from price movements even in small ranges. While long-term trading is more suitable for those who are interested in crypto currency but do not have much free time to keep abreast of its development. Profit can be obtained when there is a significant price spike.
1427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NO! Do Not Invest all you have on Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies on: July 26, 2018, 07:43:16 PM
I'm interested in bitcoin for 2 years, and for me it's my hobby (a piggy bank for my pension). I have a job, family and children-how silly should I have my head to risk everything or the last? Grin Huh
I, too, can not understand people who invest all means or the latter in bitcoin.

We should only invest some money that if we lose it, we will not suffer so much. And one more, investment would be ideal if we use the money that we will not use in a relatively long time. Thus, whatever happens with our investment, our minds can be a little quieter because we are not in a depressed state. Risking most of our money in investment for sure will give us a big presure that will lead us to make a panic decision when something unexpected occur.
1428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Frustrations: Losing Streak on: July 26, 2018, 12:58:36 PM
I guess what you really needed is that outlet of anger in your body and letting everything out. You may just do that to prevent yourself from more losses and games. Some people don't do that and prefer other methods. I think if that works for you, then continue it. We shouldn't be negative about the things we encounter.
In reality it's hard to do that, especially after the losing streak comes. You will become mad, frustations and want to just go all in to win back all your loses. I think it's better to just go outside, take a break and get a fresh air.

To control our emotions after faced big loss indeed will be very hard. And that is why, it is better not to bring all of our money to a casino. So, even though we are mad, the money in the other place will remain safe. Although the chance to come back again to chase the loss still exist after couple of days, but at least we already have a fresh mind so we can play normally.
1429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin failed as a currency on: July 26, 2018, 08:15:31 AM
With its fluctuating nature, it will be hard for bitcoin to be a globally accepted currency. I'm not saying bitcoin fails as a currency, just to achieve it may take a relatively long time.
1430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Shyness in gambling on: July 26, 2018, 07:38:06 AM
Have you ever felt that you didn't play just because you were shy? I have felt this in casinos, and I just felt the pressure, but there's no need to be because everyone just minds their own business in gambling. Probably some people even pushed you to start gambling. I just thought about this because when I tried gambling for the first time in casinos, I don't know if it's okay to sit in tables whether the game is blackjack, poker, anything in the casino just so that I just felt shy because I'm a newbie.

Have you felt this way? I don't know if playing online casinos would have that effect also. What do you think?

I do not think you will have this feeling when you play online, so perhaps thats something you should try next time you feel lucky.
But be careful and never play more than you can afford to loose. gambling can be highly addicted

Playing online and never talking about our habits to others though with our closest friends can help us to avoid being embarrassed caused by gambling activities.
1431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it risky to buy not top 100 crypto currencies? on: July 25, 2018, 05:36:22 PM
I'm sure that all Cryptocurrency is risky, it's like a business.  Coins from the top 100 are a stable coin, but a small profit in the future

Yes, there are risks. Although we buy the most popular coins though, there is no certainty that we will profit. Everything is still a mystery that we don't know what the answer is. So, buying coins, especially those that are not very well known or still new, has a higher risk.
1432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you feel when win in gambling? on: July 25, 2018, 05:02:40 PM
Well if you keep on winning gambles, it will make you more aggressive on playing it. Especially if your luck has really given you your chance to win everything. But, remember, if you loose at it, it can either destroy you or make your life miserable.

Feeling happy and thinking that gambling is the right way to get money will usually come to our mind after we have won in gambling. We forget that we are only lucky and keep trying again in the following days.
1433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why I am betting on the Mega Millions Lottery – Jackpot over 500$ Million ! on: July 25, 2018, 01:51:08 PM
That is a lot of money and someone would really be lucky if he or she is to win that. If multiple people still win it, it's still a large sum that's going to be divided to the people. Still having to win that would mean a life-changing event. Most of it would be a lifestyle, in my opinion. This post is making me want to buy a lottery ticket  Shocked  Cool

The odds of winning or sharing a Mega Millions jackpot are 258,000,000 to 1.

Lotteries are "pretty much" a waste of money.

Only people who have very high luck can win the jackpot. For most people, the odds of winning jackpots are almost non-existent. If we spend our time chasing the jakpot, then it can be said that we tend to waste our time. Even though we put only small amount of money to win the jackpot, but if we done it regularly, it can be a lot and the chance to win the jackpot won't increase.
1434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is best practice for gambling?? on: July 25, 2018, 09:08:11 AM
Some people ay heed to this kind of advice which is kind of logical already if you think about it. But there are also a lot who value gambling more than other people. Everything gets thrown out the window when they're seated in a casino.

Right. There are many people who ignore other things when they are having fun at the gambling table. Gambling is their only hope and usually they don't care about the risks that might occur and they can't solve it. The best practice is to manage our emotions and finances so that gambling will not bring us to the brink of misery.
1435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Benefits of gambling? Yes - it exists! on: July 24, 2018, 06:05:11 PM
No matter how bad the activity is, there must still be good things even though the comparison is very contradictory. And if we see the advantages and disadvantages of gambling, especially for ourselves, surely losses will dominate.
1436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin in Southeast Asia be legal? on: July 24, 2018, 05:32:41 PM
It's difficult to convince my government because cryptocurrency able to cause inflation and corruption.
That's why my government against cryptocurrency until now.

Well as I can see, they have correct judgement and me as investor only can obey their decision ! ( invest with my own risk )

At least we can still use it as an asset even though the chance to use it as a currency will be impossible. Yes, as I think our government, Indonesian government in this case, already made the best decision and we have to support and obey it!
1437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how long you can stay without gambling? on: July 24, 2018, 11:18:15 AM
I gamble At least. 5 to 6 times a week. Whether I play at a casino or just buy lottery tickets I never go more than just a couple days!

Doing gambling 5 to 6 times a week means you can't stay away from gambling for a long period of time. You do it regularly btw.  And how many hours do you spend each time you gamble? Be careful, you can be addicted if you do it regularly and especially if you spend hours every time you gamble.
1438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why gambling is portrayed negatively almost everywhere? on: July 24, 2018, 10:23:45 AM

Probably because of the side effects if you over do it.
but its the same with a lot of things, a glace of wine on a Friday is fine, right.

But a bottle per days is not so great.

Gamblers who are obsessed to get money easily through gambling will usually not be concerned about the risks they might get in the future. The one thing that will keep him going is the dream of getting rich with little effort. They forget that with such habits they can get such deep regret. Yes, do gamble once a week will be better than doing it daily. But if it is possible, not doing it at all will be the best!

Gambling got its bad name all over the world since there are already a bunch of bad examples in regards with the gambling side effects. Not only the gambler itself who will suffer from this type of game. People near the gambler could be affected as well ( family members, friends, neighbour, and so on ).
1439  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the reasons why you must take risk in crypto market? on: July 23, 2018, 06:05:08 PM
This question has been on my mind, I have been pandering on the reason why we should take risk despite the fact that people who take the same risk later loose everything, some time people consider taking risk as the only way to make it in life,  despite this believe people who take risk in the past are still regleting it,  dose it mean that you can not succeed without taking risk or that risk is what we must take in life,  is there any way one can live on earth without taking risk

If we do not want to take the risks in this life, maybe we will be nothing. Every action we take is certainly risky, both big or small. There must be something we 'sacrifice' so we can achieve what we want. And no exception with this crypto things.
1440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin making the world go crazy? on: July 23, 2018, 12:52:57 PM
The remarkable price movements at the end of 2017 have somewhat helped the development of bitcoins. Since then, the number of people familiar with bitcoin has grown. The tremendous profits that some people have made have been tempting other people's interests.
