Banks note is a symbol of debt for the central bank. It says on the bank note: I promise to pay the bearer £10.

Depends. In Euro area banknotes are not debt, they are money, even the definition of "money".

In other places there might be relics of some obligations, but "I promise to pay the bearer £10" does not mean anything since "£10" legally means the piece of paper on which it is written.

Other places even say "in silver" yet do not honor the promise.

monetary base in fiat system is almost zero

I dont get how we can say this when large amounts of government treasuries came into existence from large deficits run by many governments.   This debt is then bought and stored by the central banks in majority, isnt this an expansion of those monetary base.   All that debt pays out dollars and the rates are variable

Money is defined to be something that can pay off debt.

Debt is not money.

Having more treasuries (debt) does not mean money is created.

Example from EU: only ECB EURO banknotes are money. I have checked from ECB.

Bank accounts are not money. This is the definition, and it is quite logical: Bank account is bank's debt to you. When you take a mortgage, you exchange your obligation to pay for bank's obligation to pay (the "money" in bank account).

It is possible to create fiat money out of thin air (inflationary printing of money). It is also possible to create debt/credit out of thin air. Both processes are fraudulent, but the latter is which is being practiced now - it is even more insidious as not only it devalues the savers, it also has the "financial neutron bomb" of debt deleveraging, which the controllers can detonate at will, but it may even happen without them.

Nobody has yet submitted to my prize offer: $1,000 for designing an overall worse monetary system than the one in use by IMF/BIS. If somebody wants to try his imagination, the criteria for "worse" include:
- quicker and more secret consolidation of power of all the people's life and resources to an even smaller group of controllers
- more levers to do immense damage, wholesale or targeted, to countries and individuals
- morally more degrading, leading the development of the planet to a worse direction
- causes more deaths from its operation, directly and indirectly
- achieves the enslavement of all participants who also pay the cost of it.

Nearly all I know have managed to press their health challenge to "None". It tells the remaining amount after every consume. You should not worry too much that it takes a long time to get it moving. It is intentional to make it more difficult to decipher the exact healthinesses of each item, and give the nasty uncertainty about how much of the challenge is left and whether to consume good stuff or cheap stuff.

Actually I wrote since this is a major change, it is pretty much the first module that actually makes this resemble a RPG (wow only 13 months since start!!) . I would be happy if the active players could share some of their insights to the less active even here in public. Many haven't lived the rollout of consumable items (that started a good 15 weeks ago, making them very familiar for the active players) and they may seem totally baffling.

Write here to help! Don't worry too much to "give away the secrets", it is certain that you will retain the edge by being more active - and who wants his neighbor to die anyway??!
1427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Kingdom - 1991 Retro Virtual World(City) on: November 24, 2015, 05:25:45 PM
Are taxes and rental/service payouts happening this year? Or is next year going to have this year's taxes and payouts too?

All taxes, dividends and payouts will be charged.

...some time.

Probably it will be postponed because the health challenge delayed those critical days. It is great fun to optimize your health, so let's concentrate on that now Smiley

To make it even more fun, it happened that we will have to survive on our food supplies (all the other supplies are in good order anyway). Town got the meager shipment of VEG and MEAT and that is fully listed for sale now.

There is enough food for all, almost 3x the need. It's just the allocation... Please consider selling your VEG after you are done consuming it, since it will spoil once we get the spoiling script made (1616 earliest).

Remember if your game age is advanced, it means your health challenge can be brutal, and if you waste your quota drinking beer, it is too late to drink cognac.
1428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Kingdom - 1991 Retro Virtual World(City) on: November 24, 2015, 11:19:38 AM
Health Challenge is now part of the Game

The Health Challenge will start now. We live the year 1615, and are subject to the difficulties of life. Health Challenge means that your health will degrade in the end of year by a certain number of points unless you decide to Eat, Drink and use Wisdom substances in a healthy way.

All edibles (FOOD), drinkables (DRI) and wisdomables (UND) have a health value so it is always and everywhere good to consume them. The challenge is, however, to balance the following factors:
- The remainingHealthChallenge is told only approximately as text, even though it is stored as a value.
- You can only consume 200 foods, 200 drinks and 200 wisdom substances.
- You get a bonus for consuming a variety of items, but only the first time of consuming a new item.
- You don't know the item:healthiness values, yet it is not far from truth that more expensive = more potent.
- A bonus will also be given by consuming frequently, meaning approximately every day.

So that this would not lead to carnage, please remember:
- You can always skip smoking and drink spoiled water but food cannot be substituted.
- Older guys may have a Brutal challenge, and this means please tackle it with the serious stuff since the quota will hit you otherwise.
- Health management patients will be treated the best way but those who manage their health themselves are free to do what they want.
- A decent diet for a young commoner should cost <1mil/year.

The command "HEALTH" gives info about the status of your health and remaining health challenge.
The command "CONSUME item_id quantity" lets you consume items.

The full spex with only the tables masked can be found here.

The health challenge ends in the year_change, which is approximately next Sunday, but will not happen without a 24 h advance notice in this thread.
1429  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Devastation on: November 24, 2015, 05:23:24 AM
What you do not understand is that every expansion of debt without expanding the monetary base (monetary base in fiat system is almost zero,  consisting of banknotes and sometimes even they are debt) causes the total debt in the economy to grow faster vs. the monetary base.

This is quite mind-blowing so stydy it from some other source, I am out of time to explain. Money does not come into existence except by creating more debt, and debt accrues interest. The interest can only be served from taking more debt so the pyramid is negative equity and unsustainable. qed.
1430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Kingdom - 1991 Retro Virtual World(City) on: November 22, 2015, 06:38:14 PM
Sorry, the Health Challenge did not make it to 1614, cause that year will change this weekend.

It is now initialized for 1615, and please refrain from consuming items now before getting a primer from me.

The next 12 hours I'll be travelling though but from the Thailand sun I hope to get this module working very soon Smiley

1431  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Totalitarianism on: November 22, 2015, 08:42:41 AM
Gaddafi / Saddam / Assad committed atrocities domestically.

And in the case of Saddam, it is likely that not 100% of the reports are fabricated, so it is at least possible that some of them were true  Shocked

Keeping in mind that more people die in the USA because of the administration annually, than in any of the 3 countries above at their height, but blindness is strong here...
1432  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Devastation on: November 22, 2015, 08:40:41 AM
Debt is destroyed when real work is translated into payment of that debt, the problem is that debt is being created faster than real work is being done, it only will work if work atleast equals creation of debt, as anything else is not sustainable.

I wish it were so, but no! The amount of work done does not do anything to extinguish debt! Debt (in a fiat economy) is a mathematical construction that is unsustainable because the amount of work done, does not add the medium of extinguishing debt to the economy. In fact nothing adds to the medium, in an even bigger fact such a medium does not even exist!  Shocked

In a resource-based economy with for instance gold as the accepted payment medium, work could add to the quantity of gold in existence, so there was some connect between debt and real world.

In practice debt is always unsustainable, the main mechanism being that the most productive members don't use it, for which reason others are lured to thinking they can service the debt as they don't understand their productivity is not high enough. Debt is also a main tool for enslavement and control in many levels (personal, government, everything in between).

It's sad you identify your self worth and success as a person with money and objects.
The difference between me and you reptiela is i couldn't care less about money really.
I don't value money highly to put simply.
I don't want it *enough* to do the work to get lot's of it.
Risto if you are the guy that made that money then prop's to you.. then i am impressed good job !
I wonder what guys like you risto would do if you were homeless with out a penny.
I've been there and i win.. i ALWAYS win !

That's the hard thing in open internet conversation - it is either not open, or you need to let trolls in.

I think Mircea Popescu used to be the most hated person in the forum, but for years already it has been me. I don't know of anyone with comparable amount of personal slander (it's OK to elucidate me with proof if you know another, after all some claim my grandeur to be delusion  Cheesy ).

I have 5,000+ posts and it's ok to check, money is mentioned quite a few times for the reason that this is a money forum, and my academic field is Economics (major) and that is also my interest and my profession! Smiley And yeah, it is very much self-made - I hardly had 100k when the government came to confiscate it the first time in 2008. Then they claimed me to be criminal. It was changed to "insane" much later (after several attempts of criminal proceedings had failed to destroy my businesses, a nationwide "sex scandal" was plotted and later these other things - as a result my businesses died, I gave up even trying to work for money in that country, and also relocated).

For those who wonder, let me repeat my words to the 8 armed government goons in my little apartment in 2008-9-19 early in the morning: "I just want to notify you all in the very beginning that I consider the root cause of this action against me to be that I am a human rights activist."

That was before bitcoin existed.

It'd be nice to continue from the original topic, and now it becomes possible from a new self-moderated thread if anyone still cares.
1434  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to escape mandatory keylogging on: November 22, 2015, 01:10:48 AM
Of course if every post nets you $1, I understand you. I also worked for living when I was a kid...

... but just in the off chance that you really post the pictures without even getting paid, don't forget that:

Since you first posted them under a different account that probably was banned or too universally ignored, and before now, I have

- Earned millions of dollars
- Bought a castle complex of 12 buildings and 127 acres of land
- The castle has been featured in a movie and I got 5-figure$ just for the privilege
- I have only owned the best cars, only have relations to the most beautiful woman
- Chosen to be among 50 most influential bitcoiners in the world
- Found Monero, founded CryptoKingdom
- The latter marketcap is nearing $1 million, I am majority owner
- Increased in wisdom and understanding
- Got more kids

I don't know if you can show any progress in your life. Hopefully you can. Life is short. The main benefit you can get of trolling are the responses I write to you. If they weren't useful, I would not write. I am here to give. I don't need to take anything from you, it is evident I have enough.

Wake up and realize that during the time of your trolling, which is a fleeting moment, I am becoming richer and wiser in every possible way, and I can only wish that it would apply to you as well.
1435  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Totalitarianism on: November 22, 2015, 12:42:27 AM
"Now listen you, people of NATO. You're bombing a wall which stood in the way of African migration to Europe, and in the way of Al-Qaeda terrorists. This wall was Libya. You're breaking it. You're idiots, and you will burn in Hell for thousands of migrants from Africa and for supporting Al-Qaeda. It will be so."

The main lubricant for evil is that good people continue to deny that evil exists. Even Gaddafi above, is seemingly appealing to the rational sense of the listeners. The listeners did not listen, because they have the innate concept of "our leaders are thinking our best". It is only when the people realize that their "leaders" have the very real agenda to exterminate them, that is: kill - and not in a fake Paris bombings way where it is hard to find even 1 facebook profile of a person who actually lost his life - these guys want to kill you for real. They are not your friends or "a little misguided".

Gaddafi stood for sanity, which is the very reason why he was removed, and shot dead. Anyone raising a voice for common sense, reason, sanity, does not deserve to live in the world order these guys are plotting. Some might have noticed I also became more active. Yes, I want to be able to sleep well in prison thinking that I pressed every ounce of my knowledge and persuasion and offered it to you, and you are carrying on the torch. Like apostle Paul, I am ready to go any day, and although for me that would be better, for you I wish to stay and be able to speak more. So it is a win-win situation: either I win directly or we all win, and in both of the cases the losers lose and go to hell soon.

Congratulations for a fresh new account! Oh, wait... why don't I have an urge to change account every month?  Huh

Are they even paying you $1 per hour? Consider playing my new MMORPG, Crypto Kingdom, you will earn more per hour and it is also more fun!

If you are from Pakistan, I admire at least you have some culture there. But if from that cradle of ignorance, Untitled States, just google Mayflower (some say it was sort of starter for your national existence) and wait a moment and realize that my castle existed 400 years before that   Roll Eyes Shocked Grin

Please everyone who follows the thread hands up if you find trouncing the troll even a little amusing. Cause if not, I'll stop. And besides it is so cold here anyway that my flight to Thailand is leaving tomorrow...

* And at the time of Mayflower, the castle was owned by Reichsmarschall** Gustav Horn of Åminne

The last one was so lame I don't know what to reply. The thread is also pretty much fully sabotaged, so if anything, gives me the conviction that if even a little more important topic is at hand, self-moderation is the only way to keep away the fans who endlessly want to talk about my cars, castles, champagne, cigars and other cweet things in life...
1438  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to escape mandatory keylogging on: November 21, 2015, 10:59:47 PM
I was kindly trying to explain that the fact that you feel so insanely jealous, is proof of your insanity, not mine.

The limo picture is before the nuthouse detour.

Yup. Right before you left your iProduct, with unencripted bitcoin wallets, in a sauna, and proceeded to rage at hotel staff & the rest of the world, which got you institutionalized Smiley

You must be in rage yourself that I am not even trying to give in. Yes, they sold the sauna as security room for €1,000, did not deliver, no bitcoins were stolen, I did not need to pay the sauna, I will not visit the hotel again, I was detained for 6 weeks.

*Since only great minds discuss ideas, I moved the 2 paragraphs that were here, to the end of the post as a kind of footnote. They were discussing difficult concepts such as intention and logic, hence it is better they don't needlessly clutter the clearcut talking about things in front of your eyes.

You don't know... And I have moved on to other things but this seems insatiably interesting because it always pops up  Cheesy

As for class, luckily everyone can freely decide which champagne to drink and how to call it. It's a free world after all.

Quote
"African_American Rich"?

*BUT it is also notable that the reason I even organized the whole conference in Haikko was that I had the feeling I would not be admitted to the US. When I anyway booked the tickets after the sabotage, the police intercepted me at the airport. Not just me, we were 5 people scheduled to fly...

Perhaps gitmo would have been my destination if I had been allowed to board the plane. They don't have this thing called freedom of speech there. Calling the administration murderous lying fuckers enemies of all good they are, would actually cause me harm.

I was kindly trying to explain that the fact that you feel so insanely jealous, is proof of your insanity, not mine.

The limo picture is before the nuthouse detour. The castle is afterwards. You should try, it might spin you to a whole new level of awesomeness, perhaps even buying such a big castle that you still haven't even visited all the rooms, 2 years after buying  Cheesy

Warning: continued writing stuff to this thread may make casual observers think that you are really dumb. (I mean I know it, and you as well, but who would think of the children...  Cry )

OTHERS: Sorry for this sudden turn of events. rpietila hating is like pogroms. It just flames with no obvious direct reason.

To: whomever feels this is addressed to him

Occam's razor means that the simplest solution that you can comprehend feels the right one. And I feel sorry for the level of your brain function if that seems to be the most acceptable solution to you.

It is like if you know chess, you can enjoyably watch the move of pieces when other people are playing. You see the reason behind the moves. But if you don't know chess, you cannot appreciate it. And if your brain function is sufficiently far from the chess players level, your occam's razor may start to produce results like "they must be insane to look in front of themselves for hours and make meaningless moves."

You know - you also watch TV and don't think it looks insane..  Roll Eyes Well it not only looks such, but also is insane and makes you stupid. You were not born stupid (I hope so at least). But in this environment, becoming numb and stupid and losing your sense of - well - anything, does not take conscious action, or even conscious inaction. It happens automatically if you never think why you are here, or if it is really smart to dump MSG, F, and HFCS to your body.

I wonder what makes you believe that between stints of government confiscating my stuff and accusing me of tax crimes, financial crimes, thought crimes, throwing me to mental facility, bookkeeping crimes, I have still managed to amass several million$, without rich parents. I probably have several rooms in my castle each larger than your apartment, and for sure I have more money in my pocket than you make in a year.

If you seriously thought me to be insane, you should probably try out as well, because these are the things you care about, right? Money and raw power (yes my car is 6.0 litre 439 hp). Too bad I don't care too much about them, and it seems you are not very close to the minimum level required to understand what I care about. But reading this thread might give you a glimpse. I did not intend this to be closely guarded self-mod thread, after all I only had a simple question concerning keylogging. It is unlikely that organized trolls should appear here, as there is nothing to sabotage really, and I can pwn them any time I have a little extra time.
