Liverpool are going to return to the Premier League with a very bad morale after the embarrassing loss against Real Madrid.

It was such an interesting match really. Liverpool got 2-0 ahead but everything changed in such a short time. They already had weaknesses in their defense though but still this kind of a loss must be hard to explain for them. I wonder what Klopp is thinking of doing from now on. Because this is absolutely the worst season for Liverpool considering all the years with Klopp. They are going to be eliminated in every other tournament and they have no claim on the EPL title also. They can at least go for top 4 in the league but it is also not easy.

Milan really don't have much thing left to fight for in this season. They lost the Italian Super Cup title to Inter and they have been eliminated by Torino in the Coppa Italia also.

They aren't even in a title race in the Serie A also. They are just fighing for finishing the season in top four to be able to join the Champions League group stage at least. They are still maintaining their presence in the Champions League now and they got an advantageous result against Tottenham also. But I think they are still likely to be eliminated in this or next round. So they have only the current goal in the Serie A left in their hands. The Atalanta match isn't easy for them but it is very important to win this. This will help them increase the point gap with Atalanta also. I think Milan will make it.

This time Sevilla are going to play against Osasuna home. This is another challenging match for Sevilla considering the situation in the standings.

Osasuna have more points than Sevilla now. But they are in a much worse form than Sevilla at the same time. Lastly they lost to Real Madrid you know. But they didn't show a bad performance there either. Sevilla need to be more careful as their defending is much worse than Osasuna's this season. Osasuna conceded 9 less goals than them. Besides Sevilla have a Europa League match as well tomorrow. Maybe they can improve their morale more by eliminating PSV but the match versus Osasuna is only three days later. We will see how tired Sevilla will be.

Kante has finally recovered from his injury and the biggest question is about what he will do with his future from now on.

Because Chelsea still haven't extended his contract and it expires this summer. If they still have an intention to keep him for longer then they had better be quick about their contract talks. Otherwise there are already some big teams being speculated to go for him soon. Kante has had a lasting injury indeed but we don't know how good he will perform yet. Maybe he won't lose much of his usual performance who knows. I don't think he is too old now either - 31. I think he deserves some chances at Chelsea to see what he will do.

Arsenal should just be careful about Leicester and then they can get the result they want in a more comfortable way.

Because it hasn't been a long time since Leicester defeated Tottenham by a huge 4-1 score home. Tottenham and Arsenal are very different teams this season indeed. Arsenal technically have a much stronger defensive performance than them in this season. This can make things more difficult for Leicester. Actually Aston Villa put up a really good fight against Arsenal the last time. But I guess Arsenal defenders have learned their lesson well from that match. My betting choices are Arsenal win and both teams to score.

Leverkusen are slowly returning to the point where they started now and this is really dangerous for them truthfully.

Maybe they are in safe distance to the relegation area but still things can get really problematic for them. It depends on whether they stop this bad form at once. Xabi Alonso still did a good work at first despite not being a much experienced manager. Of course this team will have ups and downs in the rest of the season. We don't see it for the first time for them in this season. But they still need to work on the weak sides of their game plan to strengthen them. Especially in defense I mean.

I don't think there will be any need for rotation for Real Madrid to make against Atletico Madrid. Because there are going to be three days of space for them before the Madrid derby.

The match after that is a Copa del Rey one against Barcelona maybe but there will be a week to rest for Real Madrid anyway. If Real Madrid got at least a draw against Liverpool tonight then this would be enough for them to be motivated. Actually even if they lose against Liverpool I still don't expect them to play badly against Atletico Madrid in Santiago Bernabeu. Because the point gap with Barcelona is already quite big and they shouldn't lose points easily from now on. I expect a certain victory by Real Madrid here.

Courtois öyle basit bir hata yaptı ki Liverpool'a adeta golü hediye etti. Neyse ki Real Madrid çok geçmeden Vinicius Junior ile farkı bire indirmeyi başardı. Vinicius'un golü da tam köşeye çok düzgün bir vuruş ile geldi.

Bütün bunlardan sonra Liverpool tekrar gole çok yaklaşmıştı ama karambolde Militao - Carvajal ikilisi mutlak golü engellediler. Maç şu an yüksek tempolu ve çok zevkli gerçekten.

Liverpool have started the match really effectively really.

Nunez's goal was such an impressive one by the way. Maybe he isn't a regular scorer these days but his contribution here is valuable for the round. It was a classy touch by Nunez that Courtois couldn't even predict the right corner. While I was writing this Liverpool have made the score 2-0 already. We are only in the 16th minute now and this is a big shock for Real Madrid. Courtois had a huge mistake on this goal by the way. While he was trying to control the ball he made a huge mistake which cost them another goal.

Newcastle have done even much more than the expected things from them so far. Therefore I think their fans are still happy with their team's being around top positions now.

Yes their form has dropped quite much recently. They couldn't get any win in their last four league matches and this helped Tottenham capture the fourth spot from them. But the competition for this position is completely alive as the point gap is only one. However Newcastle are going to have another very challenging matchup ahead which is against Manchester City in Etihad. While Manchester City are in the title fight it will be really difficult for Newcastle to resist them. Manchester City have lost points in unexpected matches so far of course but I don't think this will be one of them.

It has been the same scenario for Real Madrid for many seasons. They seem like a secret favourite for the Champions League title and they show their strength later on.

Last season they seemed like a pretty unbalanced team. I mean they had some times that they were really close to being eliminated. Especially against Manchester City we saw this clearly. But they still believed in themselves until the last minute and there was an unforgettable comeback you know. They made it to the title by a big team effort. This season they are again not seen as one of the top favourites by bookmakers. Teams like Manchester City, Bayern Munich and PSG have been the biggest favourites. But again I think Real Madrid should be the team to worry about the most.

Conte would actually be just the manager for Juventus. I mean he would fit the team really good as he managed Juventus in the past also.

He got 3 Serie A titles and 2 Italian Super Cup titles in his career with Juventus. I don't think they would say no to try such change by the end of this season. Conte's career has been in Italy mostly so far therefore I don't doubt he would like to return there at some point also. Tottenham don't have a very good season now as you know. This would be another factor for Conte to rethink about his future here. His contract ends in the summer and he can just decide to wait for the end of it and think about what to do in the meantime.

I really appreciated Liverpool's effort against Newcastle. I mean they were incredible at attacking especially.

Newcastle actually found a big chance in the first minutes of the match but wasted it generously. Maybe it was like a breaking point for this match I don't know. After that Liverpool scored two beautiful goals thanks to Nunez and Gakpo. Nunez's ball control and finishing on his goal was worth watching really. He could have scored more goals also in this match. After the score became 2-0 Newcastle players must have been very demoralized. Because Nick Pope made a huge mistake by touching the ball with his hands outside the penalty area which led to a red card for himself. After that Liverpool could have made the goal gap much bigger. Newcastle had better be thankful for them not doing it.  

Real Madrid defense gave quite many chances to Osasuna attackers in this match. But Real Madrid still found a way to win this match by 2-0.

Osasuna found big chances especially in the first half. They wasted those in the first part of the match and while we were getting close to the end of the first half. There was a shot coming back from the goal post in the second half also. They found a couple of more but couldn't find the target on them. After wasting all those opportunities Real Madrid finally managed to punish them. Both of them were classical goals for them. It was nice to see Asensio scoring also which should improve his morale. But it looks like he isn't wanted by Ancelotti anyway.

Bayern Munich really have a chance for the Champions League title also. But I'm not sure how consistent they would be without a complete striker like Lewandowski in the team.

I know that they have come a really good way so far without filling his place in the team. They even defeated PSG in France which was amazing to see. But their scoring skills aren't very consistent. Sometimes they play like this and sometimes they have big problems on scoring even one goal. Then they feel the need of a top striker I think. I can't even be sure of their performance in the second leg against PSG but we will see.

The German ecole is very strong though. That's what I admire about Bayern Munich the most. Even when they lose a very important player they somehow find a way out eventually.

Real Madrid Şampiyonlar Ligi'nin fatihi diyebileceğimiz bir takım açıkçası. Liverpool ile yakın geçmişleri de çok olumluydu. Belki de tekrar Liverpool'a bir hüsran yaşatacaklar. Ama ilk maçta ne olacağı belli olmaz. Liverpool'un kaybetmeyeceğini düşünüyorum.

According to some news there are three big English Premier League teams monitoring Mason Mount's situation at Chelsea now. These are Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United.

I don't know why these teams are after Mount anyway. Because he doesn't have any impressive performance in this season. Chelsea as a team don't play very convincing though. Maybe these clubs are still believing in Mount to play much better for themselves. He is still a youngster and open to developing his game much more in fact. Mount still seems willing to stay at his current team by the way. He just wants a fair contract extension that's all. Chelsea had better give what he wants if they really don't want to lose him.

The victory against Everton meant so much for Liverpool undoubtedly. After a really bad form in the Premier League they needed to stop this somehow.

It was a very effective attacking performance which resulted in a comfortable win. Now I hope to see them being more motivated for their upcoming matches. It was important for them right before a tough challenge against Newcastle as the away side. Newcastle are still favoured by bookmakers now. But I see Liverpool's odd is getting lower in time. Maybe that win had some impact on that. I'm thinking of giving Liverpool win a chance in this match truthfully. I'm aware of how difficult it is for them. But Newcastle also have lost so many points in the recent weeks. Maybe Liverpool can make use of their being out-of-form also.
