1441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Major Australian investment firm moves from gold to bitcoin on: November 26, 2020, 01:46:10 PM
Listen to Michael Saylor CEO of MicroStrategy give his reasons as to why he chose Bitcoin as the company reserve asset.

He logically stepped through each asset class, Bitcoin was the only one which made sense to him.

More CEO's are going to realize this.

Apple has $250B dollars on their balance sheet, as if they're just going to let it's fade to monetary expanison.

Things are about to get crazy.

Thinking that huge amount can disappear overnight through deflation will scare the Apple gang and cause them to react accordingly. Imagine putting that huge cash in Bitcoin around March - May this year when it was below $4,000 it should have more than tripled that balance sheet by now. Times 4 on investment it would have returned. As for the Australian company embracing bitcoin now, it is a welcome development.

"Roses are red.
Mornings are hard.
I suck at poetry.
I need COFFEE!!!"
 Grin

I was expecting 'so are you' at the end since it rhymes pretty well but I'm glad you didn't since op's poem is actually good.

That will be a rhyme and that will be a traditional construct. Not bad an idea to make free verse poems as the OP did. I like both patterns of poetry anyway like the old English had them. I also like the way OP was able to spice the poem with links to relevant threads and I know many newbies will pay attention to all that.
1443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto Lived In London While Working On Bitcoin + proof on: November 25, 2020, 04:31:59 PM

The question of Satoshi has gone beyond where he was when he created Bitcoin to where he is at the moment, whether he is even alive now or not. I think it is more concern if he is alive or not even though knowing that may not affect the current price or direction of where Bitoin is heading to.

anyway at least another Phase of "Satoshi Hunting" is in the house ..
I hope this is the last. The whole Satoshi hunting thing is now boring.
1444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin very Big problem on: November 25, 2020, 11:32:44 AM
I am often skeptical of the cryptocurrency market because cryptocurrency has neither a worldwide community nor a rule to make coins, so my faith is not more than just 10%. This is because 2 3 Coins of the same name can also be made.  Ho and no one sends you any legal notice or banner and if 10 projects come in 1 month, then 8 of them are fake, if this problem is not solved then trust in this market will not increase...

I understand your point. Even alot of this projects compare one another, from their whitepapers to the roadmaps. It is copy and paste with no further inputs as to what to pursue in developing the projects. The rate by which this projects come to the markets is alarming for me too. There is no checks on them to see which are fake or not. The absence of that has led a greater number of people falling prey to scammers. I think there ought to be restrictions so as to be able to limit the rate at which new projects are established daily too.
1445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A crypto Scammer on the run on: November 25, 2020, 06:25:02 AM
Any business that promise to trade for you or pay you a certain percentage daily or monthly should not be trusted. They are only after your money.
also not all business that offer trades for you are scam because theres actually a kind of business or a service like that  but a strict background check is a must on that kind of service because that is one of the most used tactics by scammers  .
If you meant referral bonuses, I know that is ok and achievable for businesses. But I still maintain my stand that any business promising to trade for you and pay a certain daily return often end in scams. These are ponzis. If you have thriving business that has been paying returns please share the name or link here.
1446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin needs more women. on: November 25, 2020, 05:43:17 AM
One of my problem with this feminist thing is that, women don't even support themselves. How then would they get ahead?
That a woman would come up as a candidate in an election and here chances to f winning is often less than 10%, it only takes a miracle for a woman to win in the few cases. I guess the notion behind this is always with the fact that,

This is true because when you consider the population of women in any country or state it is always more than that of men, so how come women do not win elections. It is because women do not like supporting one another. They like rivalry and are not happy voting for fellow women. It is their mentality and they should not blame men for that.
1447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be a wise investor on: November 24, 2020, 06:30:13 PM
You speak as if it seems easy to do. If you are new to investing it may be young but you try to go through the pain if the price is drastic.

Nothing is easy in life, not even in business. It is not that I talked like it is easy to do. We can do great things whenever we set our minds to it. I do not know why people think it is a terrible thing to lose in business. Losing should be a normal thing in business.

Those who are chasing untold riches as a rule are always left with nothing
This is why a lot of them fall victims to fraudsters and scammers. Their impatience to wait and nurse their investments to profit gradually often lead them to sorrow.
1448  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is planting trees actually good for the planet? on: November 24, 2020, 06:04:57 PM

The way water is important to life and mankind, it is the same way trees are too. This is because trees help produce oxygen as they take man's wasted carbon dioxide in replacement. Areas with much trees are always cooler than those without trees, that explains it. The planet needs enough oxygen to keep it going and to this more trees.

Planting trees will help reduce CO2, which will reduce global warming, which will allow people to survive and the population to grow.

Yes, it helps in regulating the warnness of weather and keeps at check global warming. We can not emphasize this point enough too.
1449  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price From 0$ on: November 24, 2020, 05:42:05 AM
$50,000?HuhHuh

Will Bitcoin reach this target this year?

It is only a month to the end of this year. I doubt Bitcoin can get to the $50,000 mark. That may be possible in 2021 but this is not ignoring the fact that nothing is impossible when it comes to bitcoin. Price is mostly unpredictable. Whoever thought bitcoin can even go above $10,000 in 2020 after dragging below $4,000 for months.
1450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Great news for XRP coin holders? on: November 23, 2020, 06:29:58 PM
Yes my dear friends flare network will Airdrop spark token to all XRP holder. The snapshot date is 12 December in 2020.
In its latest update, Flare Finance announced that it will be launching six DeFi products as an all-in-one solution for investing. Thus, it will bring the higher utility of FLR tokens and XRP to the DeFi markets.

XRP holder follow the step for eligible airdrop: https://flare.wietse.com/

The supporting exchange for aridrop: https://flare.xyz/supporting-exchanges/

Does this explain why ripple price is increasing. It is almost at 50cents now from less than 30cents a few days ago. It is a good thing for those who hold it at a time like this.

I told XRP holders a few days ago that good news is coming for you.
I bought and held 0.26 myself and got a good profit today.
I hope those who held with me also got good profits.
 Anyway, good luck to everyone.
Have you sold off yours already? I think you should have held it a little longer. There is more space for rise for price increase since the airdrop deadline is still far and more people are still going to be demanding and buying ripple.
1451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just a wish for small projects on: November 23, 2020, 04:41:42 PM
Today IEO is a better choice than ICO as we all know it but one thing that IEO can't do right it mercy on small projects, we all know that the backbone of IEO success is top exchanges but what about small projects that can't afford top exchanges? They deserve a place in this space too, I do wish there will come a new crowdfunding solution that any small projects can afford easily, what do you think?

Every business survives on patronage and advertisement. Alot of people buy into projects/products because of captivating adverts   even without knowing in totality what they are getting into buying the tokens. I believe by small project you mean projects without enough money to run broad advertisement on popular crypto sites and if that is the case, it will be difficult for such projects to get wealthy investors who will invest big in it. So whether IEO or not, good small projects will still survive if the setting for publicity is right. There are a lot of projects that did not have ICOs or IEOs, yet they survived and are making price appreciation.
1452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to my bitcoin if I die today? on: November 23, 2020, 07:18:57 AM

If you die without telling anyone your password to your wallet or giving a will and how to recover your bitcoin, your bitcoin will die with you once you are dead. A lot of people have died this way and have left bitcoin in their wallets that can not be claimed. It is good to find ways of making sure someone dear or next of kin finds the secret phrase or Private key. Otherwise the coin will end up lost forever. Death makes no announcements before it happens but it must definitely come for everyone as time progress.
1453  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How will Trump leave the White House? on: November 22, 2020, 03:26:26 PM
LOL we all appreciate you riding a narrative there.

We'll see what the court arguments are before taking the word of random Internet posters as to what the President's "best decision" might be.

Is it not loking like what I suggested that Trump had to forget his pride and concede defeat? He was beaten flat by Biden and he should embrace his defeat like true patron of the country.

^^^ When the election fraud has been prove, Trump will wind up leaving the WH at the end of his second term.

Cool
Is anything proved now, apart from Trump trying to allege electoral fraud which was never the case in the first place?

How will Trump leave the White House?

As President, so he'll be back after lunch.

No one stays in the White House forever.
1454  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Localbitcoins on: November 22, 2020, 06:00:17 AM
I think they've pivoted their strategy. There are scammers from time to time who would send you fake receipts that are photoshopped and the trades are often disputed.

No one should depend on screenshot of reciept of payment if they have not received a credit alert from banks for the transaction. You do not have to hurry and send bitcoin if that has not be confirmed. Take time, tell the buyer you have not recieved the cash. That way you save yourself from getting scammed.
1455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum going to Die? on: November 19, 2020, 05:08:25 AM
The issue with Ethereum is that its developers are trying to scale running Blockchain which is like repairing a car while driving.

Ethereum will never die no matter the situation of its current gas fees. Bitcoin also has the same issue but have not died yet. Ethereum contract has produced many tokens. It was the first open source allowing other projects on its chain. So, whatever anyone says about it dying is a big error. There is going to be an eth 2.0 version expected in January that will take care of the high gas fee. With that all this problems will be solved.
1456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A crypto Scammer on the run on: November 18, 2020, 07:26:36 PM

Because people like easy money they will continue to get scammed, whether with cryptocurrency or not. I read about this Inksnation thing early this year and knew at once that it was a ponzi. Any business that promise to trade for you or pay you a certain percentage daily or monthly should not be trusted. They are only after your money. Internet scams is everywhere and not limited to certain countries. There are thieves in every country, even in Finland which is believed to be the most trusted country in the world.
1457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Escrowed very important for bounty? on: November 18, 2020, 06:12:21 PM

Most managers know that escrowing bounties is better than the unnecessary risk of not escrowing them. But them not negotiating it from the beginning can be from greed and fear on their part. New managers will be scared of losing any bounty contract that comes their way. They rather accept to run bounties than miss it even when the reward system may not favour them. I have done a lot of bounties that did not bother to pay at all till date. In some cases the managers got tagged.
1458  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do I need to be in favor of the company I am advertising? on: November 17, 2020, 07:17:08 PM

Writing and talking about positive things about the company you are advertising will be like kissing asses. But I have not seen anyone who talks bad about a company they are promoting here because doong that will be going against your pay master. I believe once you wear a company's campaign logo it simply means you support whatever product the company is advertising.
1459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I just poked that GUY on: November 17, 2020, 05:36:20 PM
however, i think that sometimes it is good to remind other people of the idiocy of these people and how FUD works. for example recently someone bumped a topic in speculation board which i liked because it was a good reminder about how they operate during any kind of dip. and that has educational merit.

I went through that link you have here and it looked like some of the posters there did not understand well what bitcoin is. I read coments from legendary members and was disappointed they talked so much ill about bitcoin. I wish we can find out what they have to say now that bitcoin did not die according to their prophecy.
1460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be fooled on: November 17, 2020, 07:32:29 AM
Coronavirus is the reason why market is in very bad shape, it will be very stupid to exit because of this while others are making good choice presently, many are already saying it's the end for crypto but the fact is Bitcoin died several times in the past and it's still alive today, do not be fooled by those who don't understand the technology

Am sure those who said it is the end of crypto will be taking back their words by now, especially those who did early this year when bitcoin dumped because of coronavirus pandemic.

When crypto market goes bad isn't a very good time for buying coins not the time to quit, people are using the whole market advantage wrongly, many still don't understand this, both bear market and bull market have their own advantages, you just have to use them right lol

Market dumps will always frighten the weak minded investors who will think the worst and will not buy at such a time. Otherwise that is the best time to buy tokens of projects trusted.

Only a madman believes that crypto will die, because a madman is incapable of thinking.

Especially when it has to do with Bitcoin and Ethereum. This two coins wil always be there.
