hello there,
there are no winner for August 19, 2014?

I'm crossing my fingers.  Roll Eyes
Have you received any of the two you've won yet ?

Either way I'm hoping I win one, could use a bit more power.

Hi,

Not yet, but I am really looking forward to it. In fact, I've bought some really nice power supplies, Thermaltake Toughpower Grand, 1200W, 80 plus gold.

I know that you might be thinking that "this guy is cocky", but it's not what you think. I had actually bought the two power supplies; because I was anticipating some Scrypt miners I had ordered from GAW Miners. They were supposed to ship the "same day" that I ordered them, but after waiting for more than a week for them just to leave the GAW Miners warehouse, I cancelled the orders.
no more for you it will move you into a higher tax bracket! Wink

1444  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ebay chargebacks on: August 20, 2014, 09:14:57 AM
I have been a EBay seller since 1997 and this has always been a problem but has gotten worst as more people find out how to play the system. I sold a lot of USB miners and then my BFL singles. Always holding my breath but I did put on my auction that buyers needed to have at least 10 positive feedback and canceled a couple winner bids because buyers did not have it. But anymore since a seller can not leave negative feedback to a buyer the whole feedback system sucks. There are ways to protect yourself as a seller and one way is never have your bank account linked to PayPal or EBay. Get a very low credit limit Credit Card or I use my Discover Card and have had Discover stop unwarranted charges. So I pull my money from PayPal as fast as I can and leave no money in the account. The only way they can force my refund is thru my Discover and you can stop a charge back. I used the no refund on the auction and this was always going to be my way out with Discover and they will fight PayPal for you.

Edit: also always ship USPS that way the buyer has committed mail fraud and if you really get pissed you can file a complaint with the postal inspector , just file using the buyer and EBay. That is what needs to happen to put a stop to this!

I registered a new account at https://mining.bitcoinaffiliatenetwork.com/.  I got the email, followed the link, it said that it was successful and to log in.  Trying to log in doesn't work.  I get a very brief message that a token expired and try again.  Many tries later I figured I wasn't typing fast enough and used paste.  Still no joy.  So I sent an email.  Except that failed also.

Running a mining pool is complicated.  I have to wonder about a pool who's web page will not even work.

Well, if what I've got into my wallet is all the payout, I could slowly get transformed into a tiny green troll –just ~40% of pending & expected.
Anyway, no worries I've just arrived and I'm an optimistic person. Will wait a bit and read all the missed posts in the meantime.

... and get a beer. Cheesy

roncutt I am already two beers up on you!

Without bringing any accusations into this mix, can we objectively look at the fact that this is a huge undertaking which seems to be the responsibility of one person from a technical standpoint?

Hey, what's wrong with a one man operation?
Eleuthria that is what I always admired about you. You seem to be everywhere and have been helpful even on other pools threads.  It seemed at times you gave us more answers on Slush's pool then he did!

I also have had no problem with logging in all day?  If he really wanted to steal peoples hashing power why would he start paying every 15 mins ( which some of us complained about) and then pay every hour? He could have paid once a day if he really was out to steal your hashing power. So I really don't think anything underhanded is going on.

As much as I talk to s0br on a regular basis, he goes on sleep deprivation binges.  He's more than likely asleep, he's online, but not responding.

That being said, I have multiple things going with him presently and him being away for less than 24 hours is not a huge concern for me.  Stop spreading FUD amongst the thread as it's doing absolutely nothing.  If you don't feel comfortable, then bail.  There's no reason to throw him under the bus when it's not even been a full 24 hours... I was in contact with him a mere 12 hours ago, and I went to sleep and he was still up.  So logically, knowing that he hasn't slept in a few days -- The body probably shut him down.

Just chill.
It has happen a couple of times now that his body crashes from lack of sleep. I just wish this time as the forehead went down and hit the keyboard it hit the payout button instead of the stop button! Smiley

I don't think he literally means this.  I do know he's working on code for the pool, which will be beneficial.  It may not be finished and he was never able to finish it thus causing the problem that is currently present.  I'm in no position to explain, other than I can tell you that it's beneficial to everyone involved and as much time and effort and his OWN money he has spent, there's absolutely no reason to be running.  If you can't handle a little risk, you simply need to walk away from crypto-currency all-together and go dig a hole and hide your fiat in a mason jar and hope it's worth a damn in 10 years.

Not pointing fingers at anyone, I'm simply stating the obvious and just being real.
i was just joking.. I know he will be back.

I seen you left.

Has the pool ever gone more than 12 hours without payment or official word of whats going on? I feel like communication would be a big thing to keep people mining if they are paying such a large % to get us here.

The longer it goes without payment, or notification, the more I think I just pull the miners off and go to a more trusted pool for now. Very close to doing so.
not since going PPS has it gone this long. But at first it was every 15 mins but not sure why we have not heard much, but in the pass it was due to s0br passing out due to lack of sleep.
1455  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mining.BitcoinAffiliatenetwork.com - we're giving away 1 Antminer S3 every day! on: August 18, 2014, 03:12:50 PM
I got to go out for a majority of the day. I am starting to wonder if I should change the miners up to be safe or let it ride. Have had no reason not to trust the operator, but 1 day left of this difficulty, I am not trying to spend that in a pool getting 0 payouts. Especially when the unpaid shares is going up and down without any payout. Makes me a little skittish.

What to do!
Do what you want but so far he has always made it right!
1456  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mining.BitcoinAffiliatenetwork.com - we're giving away 1 Antminer S3 every day! on: August 18, 2014, 02:28:04 PM
Someone in the BAN IRC, ph|ber, claims to know s0br, and told us:

1. We have no clue what is going on.
2. s0br owns 1 Ph/s by himself and could find as many coins as he wanted and leave us all out in the cold.

s0br you might want to weigh in since people are speaking for you.
He has done everything right so far. His best defense has been and will still be to fix the problems, which he has done in the past and make it right on the payments which he has done in the past. I have full faith in him and this pool at this time.
1457  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mining.BitcoinAffiliatenetwork.com - we're giving away 1 Antminer S3 every day! on: August 18, 2014, 01:32:51 PM
Looks like no payouts for 5 hours now.
I would say that means things are being worked on then.

I am more worried about the large drop in BTC and just how low it will go?

You know s0br and his colleagues have some good ideas but the execution has been problematic. I am looking simply now at the facts of how this experiment has unfolded. There are a lot of assumptions that things are being worked on and the right thing is being done and we should just be patient and wait. Well, after round #5 of payout issues, along with all the other questions, I for one am less inclined to just sit back and wait and assume things are being fixed. Maybe s0br is overextended. I for one would value steady, accurate payouts over free S3s or anything else.

Sorry I'm not as trusting as you at this point. There's a lot here that seems quite off and I'm not just going to assume its fine and being fixed.
i have pulled my miners a few times last week but s0br has always came thru so I will stick it out and trust he is working on the issues we brought up.

Hi All,

I want you all to know that I am grateful for having won these two AntMiner S3s. s0br is a very generous person, but even without the prizes, I'd still be here on this pool.

That being said, I hope that I win the other thirteen AntMiners being given away, but I'm not holding my breath.  Cheesy Haha!!!
Well I hope you choke on them miners!! LOL JK... Congrats on winning 2!!  Very cool and maybe your hash rate will level out some now!

Well, I'm not holding my breath for that either.  Shocked Haha!!!
After some consideration I truly believe there was a mistake on your second miner. With just a few wrong keystrokes I think he meant to type Aurel57 and not specialed101 anyone can see the obvious mistake.  Grin
