1441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we stop bitcoin scammers? on: November 03, 2020, 02:07:02 PM
Scammers are everywhere. If you stop one of their "scams", they will come back with another.

I agree there is no going to be a stop to scams. People are gullible and sometimes the scam scheme is so well orchestrated that you have no idea or suspicions that it will lead to you losing your money.

The best way to reduce scamming level is to increase awareness and always be cautious. Even with these there will still be people who fall victims to scams because these people adapt to the different strategies.

Here is a blog which discusses how to avoid some of the common scams. Happy reading!
1442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Multi bets vs single bets on: November 03, 2020, 10:30:48 AM
Actually betting multi bets is very risky in my experience but quite fun and exciting if you are good to analyze all the match you would be able to gain good profit out of it and I do it occasionally, I prefer single bets for most of the time.
I don't think anyone can guarantee that you will win or lose because I see gambling like this depends on luck, and when you do that you have already made a profit, then you should be able to withdraw assets, because if you try to do the same thing then the percentage very few wins and very risky.
Obviously, the chances of getting busted with multi bets is higher due to the risky odds which boost the final multiplier.

Sure, multi bets means higher odds of risk but also wins as your spread is greater. Even in cases where you have the house edge while the risk is greater simultaneously you also push up your odds of winning. This is a strategy in itself and if confident I can imagine to work reasonably well.

Thus, if a player doesn't feel comfortable with the idea then best not to practice it. Only copy and implement things you know will work based on knowing how you strategise and play. Better still go with the experience rather than the hope of winning. This way you will be disappointed less  Wink

Check out last month's Video Poker Leaderboard. Not bad, but will this new month make it for a better one?

What are your games on this platform, and how has your experience been so far?

Do you strive to get on the hall of fame, how hard do you try, and what do you think are the main limitations to you being in the top 10 or so?
It would be interesting to hear your thoughts

1444  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does auto trading bot make good profit ? on: November 02, 2020, 08:03:05 PM
Maybe it depends on how we use the trading bot, because the trading bot doesn't run automatically on its own. Must be set first
and must be updated regularly to be able to get profit. For me trading bots can't make a good profit, maybe because I can't do
the settings properly. So I often experience losses when using trading bots, even my capital runs out. That's why I prefer manual
trading only.
I would recommend the ZenBot trading bot. It's an open source platform that supports a wide range of exchanges including Bitfinex, Bitstamp, Poloniex and Kraken. But there is always a risk of losing your money. This must always be remembered.

The above advice must not be underestimated. While some people think that bots can save you thousands by the same principles it can also lose you in the same level.

Whether you get good profit or not depends on what you define it as i.e. 15 or 20%? In practice, I found that when added stop loss the bot didn't trigger the selling so ended up losing more, and happened on more than one occasion. So, I now learnt my lesson and not rely on bots to the the thinking and action for me Wink
This is the approach I take at least when I have more at stake
1445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Venezuela to incorporate Bitcoin and litecoin wallets into national remittances on: November 02, 2020, 05:33:17 PM
Venezuela through its Patria blog has revealed its plan of incorporating bitcoin and litecoin wallets into national remittances platform. Already Venezuela is among the top three countries with the increased usage of cryptocurrencies. Also the government has acknowledged and recommended the cryptocurrency mining. Will this move make any changes in the economy of Venezuelans.

Source : cryptopress.network
Turning to cryptocurrency at a time like this I think is the right thing to do for Venezuela, and I also think other countries too. This is adding to adoption of crypto and so it is progress but I do not think it will have a large effect on the market price due to the economy of Venezuela.

On this note, while using crypto as a way to better distribute currency is what's necessary for Venezuela I do not think that it will help the economy much, at least not in the short-run.
1446  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🐺WOLF.BET - $1,000 Daily Race! 30% Rakeback! Advanced Dice Game🎲 2.000 Bets/s⚡ on: November 02, 2020, 03:50:32 PM
As they already see the issue for sure they will take an action with that and provably they are still in the process of fixing things so we shouldn't rush them up since I believe it's a big work to see if there's other bugs exist.

And I agree if bug bounty will be held for sure it will be a big help since it could help improve more the site.

Bug bounty hunting is not like this Cheesy It should be a "bug" and actually affect a lot of things, sure you can get something in return for this but it shouldn't be too much, like maybe 20 bucks for something this simple.

The idea of a bug bounty where casinos pay as much as 1 bitcoin for people who can find it would be the bugs that could affect the casino very badly, like maybe a loophole that allows you to see the results beforehand type of big deal, not something like "max bet doesn't show on mobile" that is just a small design thing and doesn't really change much in the casino part of the deal. I am not saying don't give anything, you could totally give him something but it is not like he figured out there was a way to get everyone's password or anything, it was just a design problem.

Well it depends on the company about the reward system what they can offer and it's not 1 BTC mandatory bounty since anyone can decide on what amount they want to spend if they want to run a campaign like this.
I think there is no need for a big reward in holding a bug bounty as long as the company intends to do this, I am sure Wolf.bet users will continue to help them find the bugs they find because in every gap they must be playing.

Having an incentive always gets better out of people so if the goal is to clear out the bugs by holding a bug bounty then I think a reward type system might work much better than having no reward system at all.

Users are nice but sometimes people are busy and won't have the time to get out of their way to find these things but once you introduce something to benefit them  the situation changes.

In any case, adding something for the players that come across these bugs gives a much better reflection on the community and casino, and helps in strengthening that provider-customer relationship.
1447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Spend or HODL Bitcoin during COVID-19? on: November 02, 2020, 11:18:20 AM
Better hold and learn from past history, this is 2016, prior to the bull run of 2017, so the history might repeat itself again, although it might take long. What I'm trying to say is that we should HODL as long and as much as we can. Well you can spend me, but at least be reminded that we are still a long way to go to see the price going into another all time high, this is just a tip of what's going to happen next year. So I would rather stack even more on the contrary, instead of spending it.
But what if something is urgent? That an investor really need to buy something for himself? This I think is one exception if you would be in difficult times. But if it is not necessary, of course it would be better to leave your investments alone in the possibility of earning more profit in the future.

I think as an investor specially looking at the long-term you should try to avoid having to dip into your investments when things get tough. As such it as you point out instead it is recommended to have an emergency stock for these exact situations and leave your investment accrue the profit for you.

Quote
But bottomline is possibility which means chances or things are not certain. What we are seeing is forming conclusions of how high will the market price become if this would be continuous. "If" the market price will be continuously increasing then that would be ofcourse a good thing. But what "if" it again suddenly fall? Just don't rush things and make an action you think will not be regretful. We are on different circumstances.
In investment there is always the 'if' alternative and you can take some precautionary steps to prevent you from losing more than you can afford at times of market crush or correction. But the message here is that you must be prepared to take that risk if you're going in for an investment hoping to gain a healthy profit over a long period of time.

I find that sometimes it helps putting things into perspective every now and again.
1448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why New Crypto Projects are Dump ? on: November 01, 2020, 11:18:17 PM
Why are new Projects dumping, is a very good question given today's market situation. There are a number of reasons for this but the main one which stems from more factors is the consumer i.e. buyer confidence.

The fact that there is so much economic unrest means more and more people feel less risky with their funds. The constant news about the pandemic and how it affects people, unemployment is also not helping. Also, the market has so many projects that it makes it hard for new projects to come to light even if they're a little innovative but in today's world you need to be a more than just a little innovative.

To top it all up media is pumping out news on the new DeFi scam bubble.
In other words, there are a lot of reasons why new crypto isn't doing well, but all of these factors must be taken with a ton of salt.
1449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do I destroy steel phrase plates? on: November 01, 2020, 05:37:46 PM
better solution is to simply creating a new seed phrase and sending any coins you have in the old one (with its seed currently on those plates) to this new wallet so that you don't have to ever worry about anything; then simply throw away the steel plates you currently have.

To be fair I think transfer of funds and re-engraving is probably the safest option for you. This advice is taking into consideration that you don't have access to a furnace or some free-standing by litres of sulphuric acid (H2SO4).

Though the two extreme methods probably raises more suspicion than you'd want if they even will be as effective as forgetting about the recovery seed completely by transferring to a different account with a new seed altogether.

Joke aside, I think this is not only the safest but the simplest way.
1450  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🍀 1000 FREE SPINS 🎲🍀 NO DEPOSIT 🎲🍀 CASINO EXTREME 🎲🍀 INSTANT PAYOUTS 🍀 on: November 01, 2020, 12:58:51 PM
Hi fellas!

1000 FREE SPINS entry won't last for much longer, so don't forget to claim what is yours!

Cheers!

As with any casino it is best to do a little research beforehand and what better way to get this info if not through reviews? Yh, these might be manipulated but if you search enough you should still get a feel of the casino. Always keep an open mind!

Generally, it seems that this casino unlike many out there (no casinos shall be named) are registered in more of a reasonable country i.e. North America Inc and not Curacao, and players reviewed this place quite high (see below).

So it does seem that with all their efforts of giving these generous promos like free spins and cashback we should if anything take advantage while it all lasts. As per the review (though this is only 1 place) withdrawals are possible - in my opinion it is a great place for entertainment, and maybe place to get some extra cash!

Keep up with the good work guys!

1451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If btc > $150k, will you still gamble it? on: October 30, 2020, 10:26:05 PM
Love of gambling (or gambling addiction) is not a matter of money AFAIK.

I must agree with the above in that the price of BTC may not put others off from gambling at all because gambling to them is nothing more than just that. One could argue that you could even get lucky, and while we know that the odds are low it won't stop people from trying.

So I think when you have something that you do everyday you can't suddenly stop, addiction makes it even harder and some may find it even more thrilling. Bottom line is that people are people, and price/money is irrelevant when it comes to feeding addiction.

1453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to my bitcoin if I die today? on: October 30, 2020, 06:18:04 PM
Here is my question what happens to the bitcoin of someone who died and didn’t disclose his/her wallet details to anyone? please I need response . Would the bitcoin be abandoned in the wallet forever?? Would it be a waste of bitcoin?

The general dogma would be that the money is gone. However, there are ways around it which might lead to unlocking the money. The options available depends on how closely related the deceased person was to the person trying to access as it might be that the person had a safe and possible the recovery key might be there. Another way is to get a hacker to see if it can unlock and crack the key.
1454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Whale transfers $1 billion in bitcoin and pays $3.54 in fees? on: October 30, 2020, 09:31:15 AM
Considering the amount of money he was holding. It's either from a group of individual or a single whale that has a connection/have own mining farm that prioritize his transaction block. The owner is confident that his transaction will be complete even though there are tons of pending transaction on mem pool. There is no way that this guy didn't know what he is doing by sending huge amount of money using small amount of fee.

I agree with the above. There is no way the whale was able to bypass the transaction network fee without having some sort of alliance with the mining community.

This either being something he controls like the idea above where the guy has his own mining infrastructure or indeed knowing somebody who does mining and somehow transferred to their node.

I am ware some of this may come across as sounding ridiculous but there is no way in heaven this was done legitimately, without the advantage/s described above.

With less than 2 hours left of the Crash battle people are now getting into their positions but who's going to secure 1st place and win?

If you don't find the time to get into this one, very strategically the casino lined up another battle to get involved with and this time is Plinko. Which one are you going to join if any?

1456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin price rise affect your gameplay? on: October 29, 2020, 10:18:50 AM
It will not affect my gameplay no matter what. I don't care about the price of bitcoin or any crypto currencies that I am playing, what matters is either I am winning or I am losing. Another thing is that as long as I can gamble with my money, price change won't affect that.

This is a very interesting thought process. I would have thought people would become more apprehensive about gambling with BTC and similar high market cap cryptos due to the potential value it may have in the near future. Imagine gambling with 0.2BTC now and you lose, but in December BTC has reached 18k, wouldn't that make you extremely irritated?

The opposite side of the argument could be applied to the opposite scenario but this is not as risky as you'll be benefiting anyway but the risk of losing the initial investment for me doesn't make it worth it. Unless, of course I feel extremely confident about my winning strategy, like you you could do in Poker.
1457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't money and that isn't bad! on: October 29, 2020, 09:39:05 AM
Why wold you want money when money is all but an illusion  Huh

Money is worth 'something' because we agree that it has some value, and this can vary with inflation. A great example of how the value of money diminishes is the idea of 'time value of money'.

On the other hand, it is best to have ASSETS. BTC is an asset not money and assets bring you money for little effort. It is assets you want to be putting aside every year and not money as saving. As unlike money which depreciates over time, assets tend to grow in value over time.
1458  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My guide on Leveraged trading on: October 28, 2020, 11:40:18 PM
Made some improvements to the guide.

As of now the guide is pretty long, so the first thing to get over is to keep on reading. If interested enough you find that by reading it you get a few tips on where to go and how to go about monitoring your trading.

I would say though that this is no guide for beginners, there is a lot of technicality even for some experienced traders. However, the benefit is that you might find new strategies or indeed come up with some yourself after reading this.

1459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DLRS Airdrop. Your opinion. on: October 28, 2020, 09:46:17 PM
What they gave was DLRS Token not fiat $ and we all already know that the price will not possibly be $1 / DLRS. Yobit has been holding airdrops like this very often before, and I don't think it's a problem.
This may not be a problem, but the problem is quite different. The problem is that they posted an ad on their home page that said that anyone who registers will receive $ 1,700. I don’t think that this phrase can be interpreted in any other way !!! And if so, then they have made this commitment. But they did not fulfill it. I haven’t seen any disclaimer anywhere else with explanations that these will not be real dollars at all. For these reasons, I consider this to be a real scam.

I consider this a scam also and the way they promoted the airdrop is completely inaccurate. The money they promise to give away following sign up is not money given away for free, and this is where many people are likely to fall for.

Just having a look at the promo, it does make you think that this can't possibly be real. How could you trust them when they can't even spell Currency  Angry

1460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to BTC if just a few whales will buy all left supply? on: October 28, 2020, 06:46:18 PM
~snip~
Still, Bitcoin is on the open market, and we can't stop anyone from investing their money, but we can definitely prevent them from buying most of the coins if we invest also and hold for long term.

There is some truth in there with which I agree.
BTC is open to everybody, if whales were to buy in large amounts of BTC first they'd be losing on their investment as there might be other alternatives to spending large amounts of money, second if their actions were synchronised could be leading a market crush and nobody wants that.
Third, it would deflate the value of BTC in the long run and that's no attraction to any investor.

So in theory, it would lead to highly artificial bubble pumps and dumps, diminishing the true value and purpose of BTC but in practice if some whales wanted to do just that they probably could have the means for that but again it wouldn't be worth it.
