I don't think anyone will simply stop using Bitcoin even though it is banned in your country. No? Yup, even if the government want to stop you for using Bitcoin they have to shut down all of the internet connection in their country, because it's the only way to fully stop the using of Bitcoin in a country. Which means, government actually not authorized to regulates the use of Bitcoin on any country. Yes it is actually the government should not ban the use of bitcoin bitcoin because I think not a bad thing for an administration. Maybe because it was incontestably be prohibited bitcoin  They are just ban bitcoin because of illegal activity using bitcoin and there's no government involve using bitcoin that's why they are not prohibited.. so its better to accept the facts.. There are basically two reasons for that 1) because some people want to stay anonymous and 2) because some people scam others and want them to not catch them with linked or old address. Others reasons seems highly unlikely to be real.
your two reasons are basically mean only one thing. Staying anonymous. I only use 1 wallet and that is on blockchain.info , never had any problem with them and now they look even better  That is really risky, don't store all your bitcoins in one wallet, try to keep them in different places so that you don't lose all the coins in case something happens to the wallet or blockchain. personally I wouldn't say 2016 is bitcoins year. I think this year is just a building phase as everyday bitcoin gets more popular. Maybe 2017 it'll get more pricey but even then I think that'll be at the end of 2017.

The biggest problem with Bitcoin is that you dont know when to invest. The value now on this moment is quite low, so maybe it is now smart to invest.
