Hi all, finally on board here so I can ask my fellow TH victims:

1. has anyone actually got their paypal refund? i tried the previously posted advice and paypal are stonewalling me with the 45 day thing. I mentioned others got a refund and it got their attention, but if i had some examples of other cases it would bolster my case i think.

2. id like to start a collective course of action against terrahash. if we club together to do something and use a % of the collective refund amount to fund any action, it would be more effective than solo action. ie i was only stung for a $950 board, i dont think im going to see a 50% refund, and from what i hear around these parts, Amir and co prob still have our BTC and theyre worth more than enough now to cover us all. I for one would be happy to give 5% of my $950 to do something about this, rather than hope for half of that to never arrive.

So, would be in? Suggestions on what kind of action and other aspects welcome (no, not considering silk road style 'hit' on him!).

1. Some have gotten lucky past 45 days, but at this point I'm willing to bet TH owes paypal money.  Hard to get it at this point, a lot of luck.

2. Sadly i think a class action suit will be hard to organize.   Most will have more luck as individual.  But a class action would be final blow for them to actually close shop.
14462  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Did BFL mine with my unit for 3 weeks before shipping it to me? on: October 27, 2013, 09:48:32 PM
WTF Inaba Huh  Why are you giving out personal information Huh  IE:useing a persons REAL name Huh

Very mature dude  Roll Eyes

I don't think for the past month they would mess with a 60, I would think it would be mini-rigs they would be using if doing that.  But you never know.

It is sad to see someone connected with a company using someones info, i sure hope it was not a BFL customer.
14463  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: October 26, 2013, 10:28:21 AM
I see no problem with it being a bitcoin payment, it was for a dollar amount. No different to me making a transfer to his account in UK Pounds and his bank transferring it to US Dollars.

I would consult with a lawyer if you paid in bitcoin.  But as far as i know its not recognized as a official currency in US.
14464  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: October 26, 2013, 07:18:52 AM
Small claims or any other court will only get you a judgement.  You still have to collect afterwards.  Something that's physically impossible with bitcoin.

With bitcoins i would agree it would be intresting to see any judge deal with bitcoin.  Those with wiretransfer will have much easier time.
14465  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: October 24, 2013, 09:45:19 PM
people are just delusional

This explains why so many did not do refunds long ago.  Its amazing some still believe.
14466  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: October 24, 2013, 02:38:49 PM
Well I can admit, when time is in the game, everything from providers seems to take a years Wink

Each bit of time Amir is getting salary, so it will likely just go on.
14467  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: October 23, 2013, 03:53:23 PM
Well, I did allready take action, when I ordered. I know it may be a risk. But it was a risk that I decided to take it. Their purpose was honest and that is what I believe Wink The last message was to have a patient to wait for the refund, and that's what I am going with. You can try to convince me as hard as You can, but from my side it will stay as it is. It is Your opinion, and I accept it Wink

So said. Don't You dare understand me false!!!! I am not convicing You the otherwise EVEN it would look like. This is easy game if you know how people think.

And no, I am not employd, I live in a country with small standard and 950$ is a really big money for me, but I have much responsibility and believe in happiness not in money (but you know all that we live in a unfair world, so even the little people are forced into monetary system). So yeah, I also need money.

You are in denial.   They were not "honest" in so many aspects the company gave up.  If you believe they will give 50 percent refunds then I have a bridge to sell you.
14468  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Sorry, More rant about BFL (My story) on: October 23, 2013, 10:57:18 AM
when they offer to build a mining card then turn around and state that it is only meant to have two run within a server unit not with 4 or 6 like people with current GPUs expect

When they charge customers 200+ for OVN shipping but it only costs 50-80 dollars

You say it wasn't about ROI then why did you rebuy and not just hold in cold storage?

I wanted to try and stay relevant to the difficulty, So I was earning as much as possible, This was bought before the announcement of PH's being released by other companies.

If I am stuck with a monarch, so be it, My fear is, They will revert my order and I will get two usless singles.

I think your fear is well founded.   I would also fear timeline they give them to you aswell.
14469  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: October 23, 2013, 04:32:30 AM
The name of the game here is to separate you from your money through TIME.

The longer you wait, the more likely they are to succeed.  If TerraHash was interested in providing refunds, they should have been - and would be communicating with all of you now.

Their website is a perfect example of why this is a scam.  They haven't changed their website to indicate they are out of business.  Everything is out of stock, but their website still shows them as a solvent, viable company.  Why?

If you were out of business, wouldn't you make it official by taking down your website?

They are just trying to put more time between your transmission of money and their escape.  The more time the better (as we've seen with some PayPal purchases).  Act now.  Find an attorney that can wrangle up some clients from those of you who made large dollar transactions with TerraHash and start filing lawsuits and obtaining judgments on this rat fink.

Start calling attorneys and explaining your case.  Keep calling new attorneys, using google to find attorneys.  There are hungry attorneys out there who are willing to pursue this in your interest.  And even if you get 10 percent back of your purchase and the attorney takes the lions share, it'll be more than this rat fink refunded you so far...  and go to prove a point that this type of behavior is completely unacceptable.

I think 10 percent is more then will ever be refunded by them sadly if their silence speaks anything.  Really only thing that got Amir to come on I think was his info being posted.

I think it will take big lawsuits to actually make TH give money (and it will be to the ones who sue), and TH will finally fold once they owe enough money.  Until then i predict TH stays open.... and salary is paid.
14470  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: October 23, 2013, 03:12:02 AM
Yeah, this was forced option by people. Terrahash tried to do some work in the mean time, then gets ugly when Bitsyncom messed up chip delivery. In between the difficulty rises, people get paranoid and can't stand the pressure, so they start to call refunds. This then buries Terrahash.

Also Terrahash started a bussines and bought 20.000 chips ... then (I only assume) goes all in with 20.000 more ... and spent the last bit of money on accessories for miners. Without responsibility You don't start the bussines that way. And the company should allways have the backup which he can afford.

Chips or not they never had a proper working prototype in months of being in their office.  Their chip orders were shady to say the least, the ones they magically got out of.  There have been no pictures of "accessories" of miners so i find it hard to believe the 1/2 million just was spent.

The only people that forced this option was TH.  They could have saw this coming switched chips.  TH was a company of salesmen.  And honestly i bet TH made more money off this way out then actually providing products.
14471  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: October 22, 2013, 10:45:05 PM
Maybe knight was part of this scam?

I doubt that.
I dealt with him behind the scenes on my TH order (because Amir was ignoring me)... if he was part of it wouldn't have taken him a few trips there to fix my issue at the time.

You will notice knight never has taken any trips to see about refunds.   Also did anyone else see him log in to chip order?  I can't remember anyone else besides him verifying a log in to see orders.
14472  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: October 22, 2013, 09:20:22 AM
I think they are just trying to deal with the mess. The site is still operatable and they have now enough funds to refund 100% in cash - also the bitcoin payments (this is also a good option). Let's wait as Amir sais and even if they refund 50% it's better than nothing. I personally have trust in them, since they make everything prepared really good.

Anyone that know's situation well enough to know Amir's name, and still trusts them i call something fishy.

Lets say even if he does refund 50 percent this business venture will haunt him i predict.  He might be able to get around it by having a new LLC which is easy and cheap.  But it would be interesting how many banks, credit cards, and paypal will deal with him in future ventures.  His reputation after this I would be surprised any company hiring him for anything even decent if they find TH.

Job interview... so what made you leave your last job?  Actually i managed it so poorly and treated customers so bad i caused a 1/2 million dollar plus company to go under.  Our accomplishments include missing deadlines, and we did manage to get one half functioning prototype with 1/2 million dollars!
14473  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: October 22, 2013, 07:40:51 AM
Any news to share with us?
Have Yifu refunded chip batches?
Are we waiting for something?
Have you reused/planning to reuse our parts in your mining enterprise?
Can you describe what is the purpose of the stash tracked (below) by fire5?
Do you have timeline of how and when refunds will be handled?

Thx.

Currently the mentioned amount of BTC3,471.86046069 in TH stash divided by 40.000 chips ordered equals to BTC0.086775 per chip.
Which should be available at hand for immediate refunds.

Which is BTC1.3884 per K16. Or $208.26 now.
Which is BTC5.5536 per K64. Or $833.04 now.

(Assuming current btc price ~$150).
And still there is a lot of parts for reuse or sell.

Why is TH not taking action and taking advantage of current exchange price?

Quick Update (2013-10-22):
Current Bitcoin Best Bid aquired from https://bitpay.com/bitcoin-exchange-rates is $181
Which is BTC1.3884 per K16. Or $250+ now.
Which is BTC5.5536 per K64. Or $1000+ now.

That means that from this point on TH have enough money to issue full refunds and still exit with a profit from the failure.
It also means that from this point forward withholding refunds equals to taking an additional unnecessary risk on consumers' money by TerraHash.

It honestly dosen't matter what price BTC reaches, when they will never refund.  If they give 50 percent i would still be surprised.  I think its gone unless legal action, which might explain why this thread died off.

Also where is Knight the person who verified chip orders?  I still think you might be smart to look into that verification..... if you are having to get a lawyer.
14474  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: October 20, 2013, 07:10:51 PM
User bogart has the 3 k16's hashing at 2.5G hash avg, in the klondike thread,

Avalons selling trays of chips for 100Btc each.  http://avalon-asics.com/product/avalon-110nm-chip-10000-tray/

Th supposedly says he has 80k something supplies for the k16 boards.

Terrahash decided to log out on the same day of month as bkkcoins.

No news about refunds. Stated only 50% because he bought his 80k k16 gear.

Why wont you send 50% of our money and 50% of k16 gear worth, BTC went from 110$ - 70$ - 165$ from the time you took peoples money, even

if you held onto it without doing shit thats 55$ up a btc so why the 50% bullshit. 50% is like saying you don't give a shit about even doing the

actual calculations, and thats even if we believe the 80k worth of k16's story. Your whole attitude towards people who ordered from you is shit.

Fuck you xxfucker

what makes you believe TH will refund 50% of your money, because they said so?  you will not see 1 cent of your money unless you take them to court.

Seems if anyone really is taking them to court maybe they actually got good advice of not posting about it on forum, and let lawyer handle it.

Knight where are you?  Can you verify TH's refunds with you verifying chip orders .... watching them sign in for orders that were not there.  And hi Amir! What is your next company going to be?  Will you keep this one open till all money is drained?
14475  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: October 17, 2013, 05:09:27 PM
This is your opinion. So far can it be even right or wrong as mine. I am willing to wait for the facts from the company. They showed positive purpose and that's what counts. Someone who has a positive purpose from start, they just don't change into bad guys and leave. There was alot of confirmations from different sources.

Bar is this your alt account?

Lol maybe Knight made a new appearance if not. Knight care to talk again about how you saw Amir log into 1 account and saw all these chip orders? What facts do you want from company Tad?

Here are facts they have said they are NOT producing the product.  They missed any possible deadline, except the one accepting pre-orders.  The confirmations were a joke.  We had someone who confirmed orders of chips that were NEVER ordered.  They never even had a video of proper prototype.

Where are your sources about how the refund process is going? *crickets* there are none!  The company if sued is going to have to close they don't have any cash going in, just salaries and things going out.

I would guess Amir is more worried about having a lawyer lined up.  And.... maybe working on a resume.    Only thing we can hope is that who ever he tries to work for finds this failed company before hiring him.

I would like to know this information as well.

Well this is what I would like to know also! Guessing they are trying to return and resell all the stock that has not been in use. After they clean up evertyhing they will know how much can they return ... It's better to wait for some actual news.

If you believe they are returning parts that they NEVER showed proof of buying, then i have a bridge to sell you.  I personally believe the only cleaning being done is bank accounts.  Just waiting till they are truly sued and then they go under.  They announced they were closing..... but if they are not sued don't you think they will leave it open and get every bit of salary they can?  And the BTC..... yea i predict its gone and they sit on it.

I also think the only reason they came on forum before to give any update was Amir's info being posted.
14477  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: October 16, 2013, 03:07:30 AM
Bank keeps denying my refund, saying I authorized the transaction, which has nothing to do with anything.

Has anyone had success with a refund? I've been trying for months.

If it was not paypal or credit card most likely you will have to get a lawyer involved at this point.  It's pretty far from original purchase date, even those will only get harder and harder.
14478  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official TerraHash topic (possible scam) on: October 14, 2013, 04:29:01 PM
any news?

Amir made bank, and customers who paid in BTC got screwed.
14479  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: October 13, 2013, 10:06:47 PM
please just shut the fuck up already. what happened to your group lawsuit with "$500k worth"?

you are nothing but a bottomfeeding scum giving out false info/hope then strings the lemmings into a blackhole, wasting everyone's time and money.

clap clap clap clap Smiley

I have a feeling the lawyer said you would have better luck being first and not being in a big group, as the company would close down anyways even if you win a big amount.  Lawyer's are not cheap and don't waste their time.  That is part of why I'm interested to see if any truly will sue for BTC.  Sadly those who spent in the hundreds I don't see a lawyer taking it.  But those who are in the thousands it's a lot more possible.

And if you do get a lawyer, I doubt he will be to happy that you sent your information for lawsuit over to someone with no strings attached, or what the information could be used for.

Any lawyer that would look seriously into a case with their time with people sending info over a board, reminds me of a lawyer like breaking bad.  Sure Sal the lawyer will help you!  But using this sadly TH has already called the vacuum repair man to start on a new identity after TH is burned.

Ultimately I still think it being a legal entity on its own will be hard to get through.  I predict Amir gets to keep salary, but ruined his reputation on it.  The bitcoins he might get to keep, I just don't see those coming back.  And the wiretransfers you will get what ever is left when company is finnaly shutdown offically after lawsuits.

Credit cards and paypal will all depend on your credit card protection.  It's been so long at this point sadly a lot of protection is gone by time.  You might get lucky sure.

I still don't see how anyone trusted TH after missing deadlines so early on.  It amazes me the amount of money they took in and people blindly keep believing it will magically get put together.
14480  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: October 13, 2013, 07:35:50 PM
Still no more information?  And i don't think I have heard it go out of business legally yet... what's that I'm hearing.... its more weeks of salary.    It will be interesting to see what kind of job Amir would be able to get after this, most companies that even run a google search on him chances are will see this TH disaster.

For what its worth I don't think Bar is TH at this point.  I do think he was a heavy supporter of TH, and gave them to much blind confidence.

And Knight sure is quiet again.  Only person I believe to see Amir log into 1 account and see chip orders....  I wish i could see IP's on this forum sometimes.

If you are going after TH i would do it soon.  I still am interested to see how BTC will play out in any court case.  I am also sad to think about those using a suit to get money, even if somehow you do manage to get 100 percent refund (in my opinion extremely unlikely at this point) I dont see TH having the cash to cover refunds and lawyer bills.  So still taking a hit out of what you get back.

I think there is a good chance they are waiting for lawsuits to come in counting down the days then will fold on the company, and move to next venture.
