The name of the game here is to separate you from your money through TIME.
The longer you wait, the more likely they are to succeed. If TerraHash was interested in providing refunds, they should have been - and would be communicating with all of you now.
Their website is a perfect example of why this is a scam. They haven't changed their website to indicate they are out of business. Everything is out of stock, but their website still shows them as a solvent, viable company. Why?
If you were out of business, wouldn't you make it official by taking down your website?
They are just trying to put more time between your transmission of money and their escape. The more time the better (as we've seen with some PayPal purchases). Act now. Find an attorney that can wrangle up some clients from those of you who made large dollar transactions with TerraHash and start filing lawsuits and obtaining judgments on this rat fink.
Start calling attorneys and explaining your case. Keep calling new attorneys, using google to find attorneys. There are hungry attorneys out there who are willing to pursue this in your interest. And even if you get 10 percent back of your purchase and the attorney takes the lions share, it'll be more than this rat fink refunded you so far... and go to prove a point that this type of behavior is completely unacceptable.

I think 10 percent is more then will ever be refunded by them sadly if their silence speaks anything. Really only thing that got Amir to come on I think was his info being posted. I think it will take big lawsuits to actually make TH give money (and it will be to the ones who sue), and TH will finally fold once they owe enough money. Until then i predict TH stays open.... and salary is paid.

You aren't paying attention.
They are gone, you aren't getting a dime,
Unless you are suing them you aren't getting shit.

Well, I did allready take action, when I ordered. I know it may be a risk. But it was a risk that I decided to take it. Their purpose was honest and that is what I believe The last message was to have a patient to wait for the refund, and that's what I am going with. You can try to convince me as hard as You can, but from my side it will stay as it is. It is Your opinion, and I accept it So said. Don't You dare understand me false!!!! I am not convicing You the otherwise EVEN it would look like. This is easy game if you know how people think. And no, I am not employd, I live in a country with small standard and 950$ is a really big money for me, but I have much responsibility and believe in happiness not in money (but you know all that we live in a unfair world, so even the little people are forced into monetary system). So yeah, I also need money.

So yeah, I also need money. Your attitude is healthy. And I used to have similar feelings towards TerraHash. But I changed my bias a little bit after user Silvas expressed some of his thoughts on the way Terrahash is doing things. I think Silvas is mostly right. Please read some of his posts here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=128240;sa=showPostsIn short TerraHash is a gambler and they were gambling with our money all time long. Right now they have enough bitcoins to refund us in full, but they are choosing to wait bit longer. For what purpose...?! More upside in BTC/USD price?! What if tomorrow btc is back to $100. Will we have to wait another unknown period of time? What if BTC collapses for good? And even if more upside happens why on earth TH gets profit from that? Do TH pays us interest rate for this gambling loan? You can check on calculations here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=198489.msg3384024#msg3384024

If TH would refund us the BTC for just the chips that they got from Avalon we all would be paid in full due to the current BTC price. I really hope they do that, they can keep whatever from the parts and from people that don't respond but give back what you got from avalon which for each K64 would be 5BTC, 5BTC now is over $1,000 so we would not be out any money.
They could then declare bankrupt and say screw you to the creditors.

Exactly. They are gambling with our refunds now. This is hilarious. If BTC goes down they might say: Sorry we have only 50%. Sorry, but this is how it is, blame PayPal refunds! If BTC goes up they might say: We have salvaged 5% from parts and 50% refunded from Avalon. So 55% is fair. Stash from preorder money already covers 110% of sum required to fully refund all 40.000 ordered chips. So what is the delay?!

However I hope they speak soon. BTCs are just standing there and if he has not some major problem, I don't think what else would he be doing ...

This is exactly the way bASIC made it out alive (and in my estimation made a really NICE profit from it as well). If you don't remember the bASIC story it was very interesting! He, in a nut shell took all kinds of BTC in pre-orders (at about the same time BFL started taking pre-orders) claiming he was going to make an ASIC miner (as he already had a little FPGA company). After a few months it was clear he didn't have anything done (let alone the skill set required to have chip manufactured) all this right around the time of the first really big run up in BTC price. He then proceeded to refund everyone their money, in BTC at CURRENT BTC value, claiming as many manufactures have that the units were priced in USD so you would get an equivalent USD refund in BTC at the current exchange rate. I never saw a reasonable estimate but it appeared as though he took in thousands of BTC at a very low value (low single digits IIRC) and then sent back much less BTC for refunds but the coins were worth a lot more (3 digits). I never saw an explanation for where those coins went either, I have always assumed he kept them, and if he sold them at or near the top of the last bubble he could have made A LOT of fiat. Hell if I was asked to make a guess I would estimate he made several hundred thousand if he did actually keep all those extra BTC. Edit: If TH can pull off a bASIC they will have just hit their miracle one outter on the river with this big run up.

So I take it we've been completely out of any kind of contact with TH since their last statement. Nice of them to continue on the same path of exemplary customer service.

So what I think I understand after reading this thread is that if you paid with BTC, then there is not much legally that can be done? Just wait for Amir to give us 50% in 3 months from several weeks back?

No. If you didn't pay with Paypal or Credit Card it will be harder to get your money. Doesn't matter what you paid with. The law says in the States that you can get a refund at any time if you have not received the merchandise you payed for.
