Leverkusen's form is still on a positive trend. This win against Bochum has made their winning streak five matches. The score was a comfortable one (2-0) maybe but Leverkusen still should be careful in their defense as well. Because they gave quite many opportunities to their opponent to score. If there was a more capable team against them the scenario might have been much different. But still it is of course great to see this high improvement in their offense performance.

There isn't even a match that they scored less than two goals considering their last five league matches. This form has already carried them to the 8th position. But still there is a seven-point gap with the 6th position at which they can get a ticket for the Europa Conference League. It will be difficult for them to catch up.

Sevilla had a really unlucky match yesterday. I really liked their high effort against Osasuna in the Copa del Rey. After criticizing them and indicating my worries about them Sevilla have started to be more solid in their matches. Osasuna are normally one of the tough teams to beat for any La Liga team actually. But Sevilla's effort was really promising. However it wasn't enough for advancing to next round. Sevilla even barely carried the match to extra time by the goal they scored in the last moments of the match. But Osasuna still finished the job in extra time. This was like the only tournament Sevilla could have been successful in this season.

As for Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid, I can say that Real Madrid are absolutely the favourite for the win and they will do so. I'll bet on their win and I think both teams to score is also a very likely option to happen.

Tottenham have signed Danjuma on loan by the way and I think this is a good move to increase the number of alternative players in the team. Danjuma is a versatile player as he can play as left winger and centre-forward both. He played as a striker mostly at Villarreal and he scored 4 goals in 9 matches. He might be useful in the absence of Kane at the centre because of that. He can be a good alternative for Son as well in case Son isn't able to play or he is in a bad form.

I believe he might be more useful as a winger in the Premier League. I don't think he would be a good option for centre-forward position. Because I remember his times with Bournemouth very well. He was playing as left winger for them and he was very capable of scoring many goals while making many assists as well. I think he should go back to his natural position because of that.

I haven't seen Milan defense this much weak for a long time. This season something is going really wrong with them about defending. Lazio were so comfortable in the attacking line. For example the second goal was due to Dest's not being able to keep up with Lazio's passes in his wing. I didn't like his defensive performance much in this match in general. When the score was 2-0 Milan actually had two important chances to score. Bennacer's goal attempt by a free-kick was lovely but the ball went out by a small margin. Leao also couldn't make use of a critical chance.

Conceding the 3rd goal was the thing ending Milan's hopes about a comeback. Milan's priority should be to fix their defensive issues now.

There is a new rumour about Kylian Mbappe now and it might be the most unrealistic one as well. He is linked with Manchester City this time for this summer. But I don't even think Manchester City have such intention to sign Mbappe. They don't need him now and it wouldn't be good for their sake as well. Because having Mbappe and Haaland in the same team might not have a very good effect on the team. These players are one of the bests in today's football. We never know how strong they can play together.

It is easy to see that Mbappe's next station would be Real Madrid if he leaves PSG.

Bence karşılıklı gol kesin izleriz bu maçta çünkü hem Real Sociedad gayet üretken bir takım hem de Real Madrid savunma anlamında son zamanlarda birtakım sıkıntılar yaşamaktaydı. Maçın sonunda yine de kazananın Real Madrid olacağını düşünüyorum. Benzema yine bu maçta da gol ya da goller bularak katkısını yapar diyorum.

I think Marseille are worth more to bet on for their championship rather than doing so for Lens. 

Because I don't think Lens can be more consistent than Marseille until the end of the season. I know that Lens have come a long way and done a quite nice job at the same time. They proved how serious they have been by beating PSG home as well. But it is still quite difficult for me to trust a quite average team like Lens for the title run instead of a much more solid team like Marseille. You know that Marseille have the best form in the league these days as well. They are capable of leaving Lens behind in a couple of weeks the most and fight with PSG as much as they can.

Lewandowski is a really crucial player for Barcelona at the moment. In his absence they had struggles even against Getafe about scoring goals. They should have scored a few more goals easily in such match. Fati was in Lewandowski's place but of course he couldn't make the same impact. Barcelona didn't have problems on having so many dangerous attacks maybe but finishing is everything at the end. Getafe might have even stolen a point after keeping this risky score during the whole match.

Lewandowski finall scored his first goal against a tough opponent as well in this season - it was against Real Madrid in the Super Cup you know. This should help him really good mentally before the Europa League also restarts.

There is some drop in the performance levels of Manchester United and Newcastle lately and this has helped Manchester City to get away from them quite much in the meantime. It feels like Arsenal and Manchester City both will pull away from the other teams quite early and there will be a championship race only between these two teams. Even Manchester City are having difficulties in keeping up with Arsenal these days. They just want to keep the point gap as low as possible until the big clash between them and Arsenal.

That match will be just incredible and it will be very critical for the championship chances as well. As their first match of the season in the league is in Emirates, Arsenal have a significant chance to win. But let's see what the gap will be until then.

Real Madrid haven't lost much of their potential of scoring goals. Thanks to having really good midfielders and attackers they don't have much problem on it. Benzema's return has made a quite positive impact on their performance in the attacking line as well. We have been seeing its reflection on their recent matches. For example Benzema's goal against Athletic Bilbao was a proof of being a very experienced striker at the same time. But I'm not going to say the same when it comes to their defending.

Real Madrid are conceding really simple goals these days. Maybe they resisted Athletic Bilbao well about it. But they were also almost scoring a goal if it wasn't disallowed by VAR. When it comes to the quality of Real Madrid's defenders I think they are very qualified. Maybe they need some improvement in defending strategies.

Juventus' punishment is debatable maybe but it won't change anything at the end of the day. They have to live with it from now on. Juventus had even the worse compared to this in the distant past. They dropped to the Serie B but came back even stronger. They dominated the Serie A for many years later on. Hence I think Juventus will leave these days behind as well sooner or later. They just need time for this. Maybe it won't happen this season and I believe it really won't considering their situation now.

They have lost more of their hope after this problem's being added to their injury problems. I'm curious what they will do in the other competitions.

There is going to be a break of one week in the Premier League after the Fulham v Tottenham match.

I think this is a good space for Everton to decide upon a new manager quickly and appoint him to the team. Lampard did a really terrible job here. Maybe he saved the team from the relegation area last season but this time things have been more serious. He could have dragged the team down to the Championship. It is time Everton started off with a clean slate. Their first match without Lampard is a really challenging one which is a home match versus Arsenal. Let's see what kind of a result is waiting for us.

This week has been going on very interestingly. We have seen another match with an absurd score like 7-1. Koln were even below Werder Bremen in the standings but this didn't prevent them from demolishing their opponent. There isn't even a match that Koln beat them very comfortably for so many years. It was the other way around mostly. This must be a huge hit to Werder Bremen and they had better question their defending. They conceded 5 goals in the first 36 minutes of the match I mean.

Dortmund v Augsburg was another interesting match by the way. I don't know what the reason is but these teams have had many matches with scores like this one. After a four year break Dortmund got another 4-3 win against Augsburg in the same stadium. Dortmund are still having big issues with their defense but at least they are productive enough to deal with it.

I really liked Sevilla on this week. They were so determined to get another win. They were in control of the match from the start to the end and this dedication level was promising. However the most important thing is to maintain this level of effort throughout the rest of the season. This is their only way out of the relegation zone in the end. I can't say that they have very tough opponents for some weeks except one of them. That opponent is Barcelona and the match is in Camp Nou as well.

I don't expect Sevilla to do much against Barcelona in this condition. But they should still fight hard for collecting some more points in the coming matches. They need to win some more matches to start believing in themselves again. Their defending is not very good now but they can at least get better at scoring to increase their capability of winning matches.

Tottenham are trying to sign Roma midfielder Zaniolo now. Roma are said to be okay about selling him now and they can accept a loan deal on the condition that Tottenham sign him permanently after. Maybe the reason why Roma are willing to do this is that Zaniolo had a long running injury period in the past years. He has lost a lot of value in his market price as well. Roma might not be looking at him as a promising player anymore. He is 23 now and I think it is still not too late for him to shine at a team.

He is still very young but his being injury prone makes me worried. Tottenham might have to deal with the same problems as well. Football is pretty rough in the English Premier League too in the end.

Arsenal must have learned their lesson from their last match against Manchester United in the league. It was a really bad defeat by 3-1 for them. Of course I don't want to go very harsh on Arsenal about the loss on the other hand. Because Manchester United are like beating every one of their biggest opponents in Old Trafford. The last victim was Manchester City you know. But I can't say that Manchester United are very impressive in matches away. They have been able to win only the half of those matches so far.

Arsenal on the other hand are amazing in matches home. They have 7 wins and 1 draw now. They could have beaten Newcastle as well actually but they didn't have a good day about finishing. Arsenal have been successful against Manchester United in Emirates for a few years as well. I expect them to keep this up by another win.

Roma can be in big trouble nine days from now.    Because there is an away match against Napoli on that date. Their meet in Rome wasn't good for Roma at all. Napoli fully dominated that one. Before that match they are going to be hosted by Spezia. Roma should be able to beat Spezia no matter what to get prepared better for the Napoli match. Besides this isn't a much difficult match for them as well. Spezia are just one of the weak teams in the league. However they might be a little dangerous because of their recent performance. Because they haven't lost a league match for many weeks.

Apart from that Roma had two matches against Spezia in their history and both of them were challenging in terms of the scores. Maybe the final score would be close again but Roma should be winning anyway.
