If they wait to sell until the price goes up again they'll eventually will have won money over it..

Then will the headline be FEDs Find Millions in Bitcoins?   Grin
14666  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-02-15] The Feds Lose about $31million in Bitcoin on: February 16, 2014, 07:36:56 PM
This title is inaccurate and misleading. They didn't lose ANY dollar amount in Bitcoin.

If you have 144,336 bitcoins and you still have 144,336 bitcoins, have you lost money? No.

If you obtain 144,336 bitcoins for free, and the value of those coins is greater than or equal to zero, have you lost money? No.

Journalists.....

The FED's Seized Bitcoins Loses $31 Million in Value... better?  Grin

but currently a life have thousands bitcoins of many lives here on this forum and missing for almost one month no contact and no updates available from him or near to him

Aah.. that's bad.. But in my previous post I meant that to kill someone for cash isn't something I support. Just some misunderstanding there.. Smiley
I thought he disappeared because he had "shit-load" of coins.. and in some cases kidnapping is an alternative to force the owner to give away all his cash.
but John K has too much forum money and its unmovable some saying may be he kidnapped but I not agree with this because no body known him

He gave the forum money back when requested.

First episode of HoC was great. Very shocking. Gonna watch a couple more soon.

Are you watching the first series or second?

Second season.

Ah. I preferred the first season to this but it's picking up pace again.

Has anyone seen seasons 2 and 3 of Homeland? I might watch them next. Loved the first season. That's another show where I'm really excited to see where they take the main character.
14669  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin become worthless? on: February 16, 2014, 06:56:40 PM
I have a question which I haven't found a good answer to will Bitcoin become worthless when there is 21 million Bitcoin in existence? If not why would they not because Bitcoin is worth as much as it is now because people want to invest to sell for more in the future when do we expect Bitcoin to reach 21 million.

No, why would it?

i would imagine it's value would increase.

This. And you'll be dead when it does, so I wouldn't worry about it.
14670  Economy / Speculation / Re: Google Possible Bitcoin Integration. Buy, buy, buy? on: February 16, 2014, 06:54:31 PM
“We are working in the payments team to figure out how to incorporate bitcoin into our plans,” wrote Google Senior VP of Ads and Commerce Sridhar Ramaswamy.

Story: http://www.forbes.com/sites/andygreenberg/2014/01/22/google-lets-slip-that-its-exploring-possible-bitcoin-integration-plans/

Now might be a good time to invest a little?  Shocked

This information is from January 22, 2014. I think that if we followed your advice to "invest a little" when this article was first published, we'd be incurring some loses to say the least.

Here were the results when Google asked for input on the implementation of Bitcoin.
http://cryptoeconomy.org/google-asks-about-bitcoin-most-popular-answer-wants-dogecoin-tipping-on-youtube/

This is old news now. They only stated that they were exploring it. I'm betting most big companies are exploring it, but whether they'll actually implement it is another matter.

Neither EFF is accepting them, which is even more worrysome.

Wikipedia doesn't need your money.

Not according to sadface Jimmy up there.
14672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2 mysterious satoshi transfers from addresses enjoy, sochi. on: February 16, 2014, 06:47:47 PM
Hi hilarious and co  ,Will they really just disappear? or will they go back to the original 2 addresses where they will accumulate back up to whatever amount was originally loaded(Im assuming millions of addresses were spammed by the same 2 addresses)  and be available to be spent again?   That's what I was wanting to know.

They'll disappear from your wallet and return to the original sender.

Max Keiser said in his video back in January that he would be willing to buy the bitcoins from the FBI for $80 million when the price was between $950 to $1000 range. He further states

Does Max even have that kinda money?

Apparently he has a million Bitcoins though I haven't seen anything confirming that for sure, he was saying he's a Bitcoin millionaire.

I don't think anyone has millons of Bitcoins except maybe Satoshi. When people say they're a Bitcoin millionaire they just mean they've got millions of fiat worth of Bitcoins.

I think he made that "bitcoin millionaire" claim sometime early last year.. so max is definitely a bitcoin multi millionaire since he was telling people to buy when the price was $5 only

I'm sure he's a multi-millionaire from all his other business ventures, but I'm not sure he has 80 million to splash out on Bitcoins, nor would he probably want to if he had.

No Bitcoin BTCatsignal?  Cheesy How did you request he send the forums funds back before? Just PM or email?

Email.

Could you not send him a quick email asking if he can resolve the raffle and his escrows as soon as he can? I know people have probably emailed him several times but I think this would probably get a quicker response and resolve from you.

I don't have any special way of contacting him. I don't know anything about his current status.

You might want to remove his custom title because it is confusing I keep thinking he's still a staff member.

So do you think he has run with the money or is trying to delay things and make a profit by selling and then buying back?

I think he is still a staff member. Still says Staff on his profile. If he was going to run I'd imagine he would'vde took the forums money too, but you never know.

For anti-Hollywood endings, watching more Asian and more specifically Japanese films... Their concept of what constitutes an appropriate ending is far different!

I've got a few ideas for an Anti-Romantic comedy. It's called P.S. Your Wife's Dead. What Japanese films do you recommend?

Wolf of Wall Street is a must seeing , to people of this world : economics  , bitcoin etc... , really amazing.

I hate that all of these movies end in a bad way I guess.. :/ but it how it should be.. There is no such thing as easy life. But still MOVIE WAS GREAT. I liked the ending best.

You should watch a romantic comedy if you want a happy ending  Wink.

You should know even in romantic movies there is never a happy ending.

Well that's not what happens in the movies. Are you trying to tell me Hollywood is lying to us?
14678  Other / Meta / Re: Who is the owner of this site on: February 16, 2014, 06:11:28 PM
equinox9 offered to buy the forum for £10,000. LOL.

Haha, I can offer double. Let me know ASAP Wink.

I don't think this forum would sell for 20k or even 100k this forum is the foundation of Bitcoin.

I know. I wasn't being serious.

Is it that hard for the people who verified his PGP messages (and have his email address) to look up his email address on Facebook? Seriously?
I think admin can contact him and may be he know all about him but we have never any update from any one for last 1 month

Has you or anybody else contacted an admin to contact John about this? I think that's the only way you'll get a response.

I sent a pm to theymos and he is not responding,

I think this is his email address the.john.is.here@gmail.com

I don't think he usually replies to PMs unless it's urgent, but I think he should respond to this or at least contact John for you to try get an update on what's happening.
14680  Other / Off-topic / Re: LOL! - You just got Mt.Goxed! on: February 16, 2014, 06:02:18 PM

If they keep operating like this, it might as well be.

I don't think they can sustain themselves for much longer. Surprised they lasted as long as they have.

I feel like they should of been gone the first couple of fuck ups. After the repeated news, I just gave up on Mt. Gox.

Me too and lots of others feel this way. All those unaware niave newbies putting their money in there must've kept keeping it a float.
