Man, these guys are really putting some work into this "scam" eh? Pretending to build a datacentre and buy loads of shiny kit. I await some hilarious trolling about that being something else than what it obviously is...some guys making a home for some rigs to live in in the very near future. Thanks for sharing. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I am shocked anyone fell for this SCAM! If you believe that a company entered into manufacturing out of love, goodwill, and in the interest of preventing monopoly I roll my eyes at you. It is the business of manufacturing miners for profit or manufacturing lies for profit. And they are not manufacturing miners for profit.
If all they wanted was to help birds sing, puppys play and the sun shine brighter, or even just to help prevent a monopoly then they would make them and give them away or just keep them to mine themselves to offset the cost of manufacturing while fending off a monopoly.
But with BFL and Avalon there already is no monopoly.
Buying into a problem that does not exist for reasons that are too noble to trust is madness.
The madness here is yours. A problem that does not exist? WTF are you talking about? WE have heard from people who have visited and posted videos of this company and the people behind it, they have never mentioned doing anything out of love, the nearest they came to that was the sensible mention that they would try and make their rigs worth buying as far as keeping up with rocketing hashrate. They ALWAYS said they'd mine themselves. They never said they would or could prevent a monopoly...that bit made my eyes roll being such a load of bollocks. There's a rock over there, with a space beneath it that's just your size next to eve and the other trolls. Occupy it, there's a good thing.

20 days to deadline and still no chip proof?
I don't care. I already setup deadline to 25/9. If I don't receive any information about shipping until Wednesday 25, I will simply ask for refund.. You know what would be cool? KNC post tomorrow and say 2 weeks delivery. And actually delivers in 2 weeks. Oh no thanks, that term has bad associations, been over-used just a bit elsewhere ...let's go for one week.
|
|
|
So. Um.
All this speculation. If they're going to make people's expected delivery dates— you would have thought that they'd have test hardware in the miner software folks (remote) hands by now.
Just saying…
Ya, no chip to show, where are the chips, not even a picture or a video demonstrating their enormous hashing power the shills and trolls or socks puppets will always say be patience and be positive or just shut up. Don't worry, when the 1st rigs arrive in a matter of weeks I'm sure their owners will happily ram videos and pics of them hashing down your throat

These huge farms will kill our chances of a profit to some extent, they will put people off the game because of the estimates from calculators looking bleak, then they will eat each other. All in a pretty short time frame. I think the system was designed with this possibility in mind and this scenario is a kind of defence mechanism to try and make sure too large a commercial concern won't prosper over a large network of smaller miners...which is the whole idea really isn't it? Not great for us now, but when the dust settles it may improve. After all consider the fact that you can stop mining for 6 months and then see it become easier and restart...unlike a farm, they will long since have gone out of business, they can't afford to be idle as long as you. A drop in difficulty would probably be too late to help them, but you'd be a click away from mining again ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Paypal just sent me an email about their policy update. https://cms.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/?&cmd=_render-content&content_ID=ua/upcoming_policies_fullInteresting stuff about payment protection changes in there. Suspension of eligibility We may suspend your eligibility for PayPal seller protection if, over the past 30 days: the total monetary amount of “Buyer Returns” (being Chargebacks, Claims, and (as they relate to Unauthorised Payments only) Reversals) issued against your PayPal Account (no matter where the transaction takes place and whether on or outside of eBay) was equal to or greater than 1% of the total monetary amount of payments received in your PayPal Account during that 30 day period; and at least 100 Buyer Returns were issued against your PayPal Account. We will lift the suspension after 90 days, provided that, over the past 90 days: the monetary amount of Buyer Returns issued against your PayPal Account was below 1% of the total monetary amount of payments received in your PayPal Account during that time; and fewer than 300 Buyer Returns were issued against your PayPal Account. We will notify you by e-mail if we suspend or lift the suspension of your eligibility for PayPal seller protection. … 11.10 What are examples of items/transactions/cases that are not eligible for PayPal seller protection? Intangible items, licenses for digital content, and services. Items that you deliver (or are picked up) in person (except for items for which you received payment through the PayPal Location Based Payments Functionality). Transactions made through Zong, Website Payment Pro (PayPal Direct Payment and Virtual Terminal). Claims, Chargebacks and Reversals for Significantly Not as Described; and/ or claims filed directly with eBay. PayPal Business Payments." IS a rig that didn't get delivered on time because it doesn't yet exist "intangible"? I'd imagine if BFL took PP there's going to be some problems over there, not so much here hopefully but it's good to know these changes to small print you rarely read before it becomes crucial I think.

[12:06 AM] Searing : although kncminer and others offerting regular credit card stuff etc plus paypal etc may have to be addressed by bfl someday ....people are (less monarch upgrades who are stuck ) are gonna be cautions on pre-orders from now on and use cc imhjo [12:06 AM] BFL_Josh : We'll see if they are still in business in 6 months.
I'm sure BFL will still be in the business of scamming n00bs in six months, which is sad. It's kind of amazing he doesn't even believe it's possible for a company to just say what it's going to do, when it's going to do it, and then actually deliver. If KnC succeed (which I'm feeling good about), you're likely to be wrong there mate, a side effect of being on time and honest as a company will destroy the business of scamming noobs...why would anyone take a risk with a company like BFL once it's proven that KnC do things right? Other companies will have to deliver or die from the day the KnC rigs arrive on time (and over spec most likely). The back of Joshes underpants must look like the grid at Monza after all the news from KnC about things being on schedule. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Not to really take this off topic but how can it not suit anybody. its free power. looks like a win win senero on that
IT is free, but over time you will do better then free if you own the panels, and some folk may prefer different types of panel in the future. Some people could have those free ones and also some of their own later I suppose. If anyone's interested they can decide for themselves http://ashadegreener.co.uk/

don't worry bro quoting the relevant part: Presales Total 2013: 6,281 Thash Announced Total 2013: 1,750 Thash Running Total 2014: 7,380 Thash -------------------------------------------------------------- Combined Total: 15,411 Thash
Relationship between difficulty and hashing power1 TH/s = 0.14 mil difficulty 1 PH/s = 140 mil difficulty 1 million difficulty = 7 TH/s 1 billion difficulty = 7 PH/s 1 trillion difficulty = 7 EH/s
so in march we will have 15.5 PH/s, that implies more or less 2 billion diff. i've quickly input those data into http://www.bitcoinx.com/profit/ using 2.1billion difficulty and guess... what you'll mine 0.0958 BTC per day @400GH/s. it's not that bad at current values that means almost 360 USD. I know you should have taken into account pool fee and electricity cost but I left it as exercise to the readers ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) and as last point, hopefully by march you already get back our initial investment Now that bit is what puzzles me, what KnC planned to do in march? That's gen 2 time isn't it? Going to need some serious kit to deal with that situation. That guy says we can assume that people will stop mining once electricity costs aren't covered, but I don't think that's quite right...maybe when it's cheaper to buy BTC than mine them they will, but that's not the same at all is it? It's not free to buy BTC for a start. I found a UK company who fit "free" solar panels yesterday, the catch being that you don't own them or get any feed in money...but you DO get to use as much as you can of what you generate which would be handy for a zero upfront cost reduction in lecky bills. IT wouldn't suit me because one day soon I want my own panels, and it won't suit anyone not owning their home...but it may suit some people quite nicely.

I'm more interested in the packing of miners, surely they'll have a lot more work packing and despatching and need people for that compared to the handful by comparison who will be collecting their rigs? Looks like another "on schedule" troll killer update though, so that's good.

Their exchange rate rate right now is 121 dollars on that page, compared with 132 on Gox and +500 trading app? Bitstamp = 122.25 right this second. Check the genesis block calculator...agrees with Gox. That's a big difference, and according to the graph I'm looking at we've not been down that low for a long while. Something very wrong there.

The only issue is those with unappreciative wives may have to think it through a little longer, these are a little less subtle than hiding the units in the discreet shelving solution posted before... ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Wow, you are an asshole. Can't help taking a swipe can you? Only the worst type of people try to build themselves up by putting others down. Sad fucker. You are ignored. You just now figuring that out? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) LOL Yea Bitcoinorama is one Major POS.. Scum of the earth type person.. Caught a picture of "The Avenger" and "Kuroth" together at last. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fcollider.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2Fdumb-and-dumber-sequel-jim-carrey.jpeg&t=663&c=3-Nr1Bt1mO13sA) Yup.. That is me on the left in Orange.. Was my 17th B Day party last year.. How many refunds have you accrued so far? You hit the big 10 yet? I have gotten back every last damn dime form all these scam ASIC companies.. Congratulations on such a remarkably efficient waste of time. Here, have a medal.

Yes. Actually it is. Since it's the truth.
I quote: Who is going to read >400 pages and the search function of this site sucks.
I read them. All of them. And I am able to use the search function properly.
Congratulations! I guess that achievement gives you the right to belittle anyone else that comes along with a question. Nope, but it gives me the right to point out the information you wanted in a short and effective way and critize your lack of ability to get them yourself. Seriously, if you feel emotional hurt over my comment - just don't post questions like that. I am generally in favor of questions. Every one has them, you know? But most people try to get the answers themself first before spamming a 400+ pages thread with them. If your question would have been: Hey does anyone know if Upgrades are possible for November orders? - I would have given the same answer in the same tone as bitcoinorama. But not to a "hey guys, I am too lazy to look for the answer myself for 5 minutes" post! It wasn't my question. Go back and look. The question was mine. Sure like the ignore - mash it all the time. And I would have thought if I had happened across mention of how those modules are attached to the main board it would have registered. I still don't know. Reading 400+ pages on the chance an informed reader mentioned it seems less a good idea than asking. You thinking about adding extra modules maybe? I wondered that too if so. Could be handy if we can , if even for a next gen module. I've read the whole thread and mentioned it a time or two but still nothing interesting. I figured I'd wait and look for myself since I'm not likely to be wanting to do that for a while This question was answered on the KnC forum I just saw. ""We will be releasing individual upgrade modules which you will fit into the device yourself. More information will be released on this in the coming weeks, most likely after shipping has started." Looks good, "coming weeks" rather than month also looks nice.

I'm pissed, because can't believe, that KNC will fulfill their promise..we will see in 2 weeks™ who was right.
You have no evidence, at all, that they will be late. Yet you're pissed about your own fears. You are a complete wuss, unable to control your emotions, and acting irrationally. Guess it takes nerves of steel to roll with the big boys in bleeding-edge bitcoin mining. Have some of you actually lost sleep over this? The hell is wrong with you. You lose sleep when you get other people involved in something you aren't fully confident in yourself as they have said they have. Losing your own money is one thing, breaking even over time is fine too...but if you promised a large profit to a group of friends and they put money into mining to find it's not such a golden egg anymore...that's not going to be much fun is it? A lot of group buys are going to suffer in the coming glut of ASICs and what happens when they all come online...short term at least.

I myself, like others too, have had the experience of asking legitimate questions and immediately being condescended to and now name called by the regulars in this thread (i.e. pussies, bitches) hence the fan club moniker. Civility is a two way street. I hope KnC delivers on time and as promised as much as anyone else, but I'm not going to blindly let them hold thousands of dollars of my money and not ask a probing question here or there.
The point is that a lot of people are like a 5 year old kid constantly asking "are we there yet? are we there yet? are we there yet? " ..but asking us on here who haven't been given secret information ..so they would be better asking KnC, especially given the fact that KnC reply to customers and answer the phone. Most of the trolls just harp on about rigs never making money and not being delivered as promised...something which they can never know and which is pure and deliberate negativity, and pointless. A guy who went so far out of his way to check the company out and reporting here what he saw gets branded a fanboy? Couldn't make it up. Thank god this will all be over soon and we'll have some pics of hashing rigs and joyful unboxing to replace cheer us (well nearly all) up ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) .
