One only thing it could be improved is the procedure to create a node - too complicate at the moment. I have the necessary coins for that but I cannot afford spending days trying to understand how to do that.

Fresh news for 2018
First of all, January will be a month with high expectations for the Zencash community, developers, and investors. Three major news are expected:

Zencash will be listed on an Asian exchange (rumours talk about Bitfinex or Binance). This is essential to further spread Zencash as a privacy platform, spread out the risk of being mainly tied to a single major exchange, and indirectly promote decentralisation from an infrastructure perspective (a large chunk of the infrastructure is currently based in EMEA and North America), plus increased adoption means more trade, more trade more attention, and more attention further investments.

Zencash will sign a partnership agreement – there is already a substantial involvement from IOHK, a premier blockchain R&D organisation into Zencash code development, but contracting or subcontracting doesn’t necessarily means an agreement. A partnership agreement could take the form of IOHK (or another partner) doing joint research with the Zencash team, or Zencash integrating a new platform/tool.

Zencash will completely rebrand the website as well as social media outlets – on this occasion the latest white paper will also be published, superseding the original one. This is probably the most demanded thing by the Zencash community, and I’ve been certainly as impatient as the others, although I do understand the need to do things well and in a coordinated fashion. I hope that the rebranding will be done in a coordinated way, and also hope this will look glorious. Don’t get me wrong, the power of a platform is behind the tech, the actual commits and the ability of the development team to delvier, but technological excellence doesn’t means that we can indulge in half-measures.

Why re-branding? ZenCash is a wonderful name already. No need to re-brand. What we need is better marketing though.

Using a cryptographic hash, each party can prove that a certain statement is true without revealing the precise details of who sent what and where. Although most commonly associated with the Zerocoin family, zk-Snarks are also being tested with ethereum.

Zencash: ZEN is a fork of Zclassic – that’s right, a fork of a fork – but it’s got some interesting features, not least encrypted messaging. Like dash, zencash uses nodes as an additional means of securing its network; there are currently almost 5,000 ZEN Secure Nodes in operation. ZEN is a community-oriented project that utilizes many of the principles governing a DAO, and the nascent privacy coin seems to have a solid roadmap in place.

My third coin for 2018 is ZenCash. In the past 90 days it has increased value by 5x.

ZenCash focuses on true anonymity in online payments. As more and more consumers focus on privacy and security, I predict it will become the leader in anonymous coins. This past month there has been great discussions about upcoming US regulations on cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin specifically). If and when these regulations are announced, I expect ZEN to surge in price as the push for privacy causes an increase in demand.

The obstacle is that I didn't find any instructions on how to use the Swing wallet ON WINDOWS (I don't have linux) for setting a node...

I just have to say, MedaR... you are doing great work here keeping the thread informed, and answering what seems like the same question over and over again with no complaint.  I'm sure you are being compensated, but great job nonetheless.

Yeah very impressive. I have other coins i believe in but that do not have such an amazing support on bitcointalk. It is really appreciated.
Binance have a community vote for new coin where zen is one of the coins that can be voted on. Would be nice but xrb will probably win the vote unfortunately.

Which is the procedure to setup a node with the Swing wallet on Windows and start to stake ZEN? Didn't find clues in the wallet.
