36 BTC Wall @ 9900 sats  Some people here think I was BSing about "Wall Street Associates" (Not you). Let me explain what has been going on for 24 hours...We would have been above 10,000 since yesterday but someone kept pushing us down. I said it was happening at the time..some people thought I was "paranoid". Early this morning there were organic attempts to get BC above 10,0000 again, and with every attempt it was pushed down. I started noticing someone trying to push us below 9000 this morning so I had a 22 BTC buy floor established. So at 4:45PM EST today another attempt to push BC above 10,000 started, and as soon as momentum started the 36 BTC wall appeared out of nowhere. This is not a coincidence...someone is sabotaging BC for whatever reason.I think you're off on this one pal. Don't try to analyse "walls" in crypto it will drive you mad. + Remember not every wall is a fake or an attempt at manipulation. I've put up a lot of genuine walls in my time (not in BC though). So Ramdom do you agree that market is what is bringing down the price? I agree that Mint has suffered another crushing day and I feel sorry for bagholders like you who keep trying to spread obvious FUD in the blackcoin topic  Ps. I want to personally thank everyone who has supported the PR project and has showered me with kind words!!! I love this community and will do all I can to help BC grow. That being said...The day is far from over and a lot is happening behind the scenes. A buy wall on Mintpal has been established @9000 sat to keep BC above 9000. I will like to note that someone is purposely driving the price of BC down and a lot of BTC is being spent to keep it up.

Yes - I noticed that as well. I pointed it out in an earlier post and someone called me a "c*nt" for it  They must've thought I was just idle trolling. I wasn't - I was making this exact observation. All the same, that can't go on forever. Their supply must run out at some point. It could just be a massive holder who's doing an interim profit take. The volume in general isn't that high so it wouldn't take a huge amount. Well whoever it is they have a lot of BC to sustain this kind of downward pressure. I made a joke to Soepkip earlier and asked him "who did they piss off"?. There are enough buy walls placed strategically so the price doesn't dip bellow 9000. |

Actually, I've just worked out that the pool revenue from blackcoinpool alone should be between 30-50 btc if their hashrates are right (and if I've got my terra's and giga's the right number of zeroes). In fact, if it's pointed at Zedcoin right now, they're looking at the best part of a whopping 50 btc per day. I think I need to check my sums: 21,000 GH/s SHA256 and 3,000,000 (3 million) KH/s scrypt. Anyone disagree ? If it's correct, say goodbye to all known sellwalls on Mintpal as from tonight. Incorrect. I was hoping to let this cat still in the bag, but it is out: CoinKite has added us to their voting list!http://www.coinkite.com/faq/altsThis is -huge- for BlackCoin. We are not even 45 days old and being considered to get added to one of the leading Point of Sale device manufacturers out there. Next to that they also offer a Debit Card (we'll ask them for a BlackCard version  ) and of course an online wallet. Basicly, if we get the funds together your local shop will be able to accept BlackCoin real easy. BUT we need 25 BTC in BC value for this to happen. The good thing is: We already have sent 200,000 BC to their fund, which is about 20BTC at the moment. We still need 5 more BTC in value. This can happen in two ways: - You donate a little to their address: BD6n8ZeenBD9Uede3RGvBkc74pRgUm6zXE - You make the price go up to 12500 SAT  After the 25BTC are confirmed we'll get accepted and implementation takes 4-5 weeks. CoinKite is a crypto-currency payment terminal mainly for brick & mortar businesses. They are accepted at many locations worldwide, and new locations are added daily. They have a debit card, and now you will be able to us your BC to buy things with it. It is a huge step for BC being considered a currency. ^^ I forgot to address that comment. The last thing we as a community want to do is take "baby steps". I will repeat...there are new coins launching every hour, and if a coin doesn't keep forward momentum it dies a slow death. Just ask the MintCoin community if you think I am exaggerating. It wasn't baby steps that got us briefly above 10,000 sat and it will not be baby steps that get us to the #1 spot. Agree 100% 3.2 mil marketcap is tiny. Seriously, compared to ltc or btc or any other fiat currency, we are a speck. That being said, once any amount of large investors (talking at least 100k-1 mil at a time) start to get serious about blackcoin this could rocket up to 20 mil or higher market cap in 1-2 trading sessions. There are at least 3 serious investor groups working parallel on blackcoin right now. Those are just the ones I know about and each could bring this coin to 10 mil market cap. Together.... who knows. I'm simply saying you promised more than you could actually achieve "wall street investors". Managing people's expectations is crucial.
Excuse me? Is there not a press release? Are there people talking about it? Is BC trading at an all time high? Did BC go above 10000 on multiple exchanges? Has BC market cap increased? Did this all happen in less than a week? So what exactly did I promise and not delivered on??? I had no idea you were responsible for literally everything. It had nothing to do with the devs of the multipool or soepkip getting us on coinkite. Nothing to do with an investor (who has donated over 150k to some of our causes) purchasing ~100 BTC worth of BlackCoin in the past week alone. This argument is pointless. I thank you for your press release. I look forward to continuing to work toward a better BlackCoin and hope that in the future your optimism and my pessimism can reach a healthier balance. The multipool is great and I hope it continues to grow. However, that is not the point here. You claimed I didn't deliver, but you have yet to explain how I didn't deliver what I promised. Just because you hold a substantial amount of BC doesn't mean you can or will dictate which direction BC goes. It is the community that decides the direction this coin goes. When the community voiced their concerns regarding BC price going up too fast, I listened. I am here for the community, not you. Without this community all you have is a bunch of worthless 1s & 0s. I am not trying to take all of the credit, this is/was a team effort and Soepkip has been amazing. When someone attempts something here I never bash their efforts. You are ungrateful and should thank me for adding value to BC. Now do me a favor and go count the extra $ I added to your portfolio and let me and the community enjoy what we have all done!!! Well I did say I would give Iconic 1000 BC if he delivered (I was skeptical at the time) and he did. He's a PR guy, and a PR guy I'm very happy that BC has. And so 1000 BC sent. Please consider putting some of it back to use for the BC community. TY and I most certainly will pay forward. |

All the credit in the world to Soepkip and all who donated to his coinkite cause. The press release is nice, but it was over hyped and the article is, as others have mentioned, lacking in key areas (how to buy). It reads as a pure paid for advertisement not a fair article regarding a new and exciting crypto. It is worded to attract small-time investors (read 'not intelligent').
Coinkite and the multipool, all things supported by Soepkip and the amazing devs on freenode.net irc #blackcoinpool have been outstanding.
This is a wonderful day. I do not know if we will actually break 10k ("wall street investors" must be sleeping still?) but we have established a higher bottom.

Then you complain about the press release, everyone IS talking about the release whether you think it is good or bad. More than one person contacted me personally and asked not to have BC pumped too fast or it will look like a pump and dump. So now you and others are getting exactly what they asked for, and now it is not moving fast enough for you? However, if you want a better press release, please feel free to do one yourself. Soepkip you totally deserve donations. I was speaking of IconicExpert asking for more donations which I think is pushing it. The press release is great and all that but it wasn't what I was expecting and he still has yet to update any news about the BlackCoin card.
Thank you for your comments. There is no such thing as a silver bullet press release. It is impossible to write a press release that appeals to everyone. However, a good press release is one that is talked about whether it is in the positive or negative. Everyone IS talking about the release, just go to Poloniex chat box and see for yourself. In regards to the credit card. I was notified about CoinKite a few days ago and it was decided that it doesn't make sense to create a competing card when CoinKite already offers debit cards. There will be movement with CoinKite to get a branded BlackCoin debit card. That being said, I will announce something tomorrow that I think the community will be excited about and is almost read to go live! |
