I'm going to find a solution to my problem even if it takes away from my market research time at myfreecams.com.

Maybe Bitcoin Porn's avatar still works because he didn't went to his profile page and saved it in the meantime...
Hell, that guy hasn't been active here for months.
If you hadn't gone and change your sig, your avatar would still be working Wink

I swear that I didn't go to my profile page to try to change my avatar. I only went there to see why if it was no longer there and then tried to upload it again.

Seriously, can we no longer upload animated GIF's?

Thanks for taking the time to address my questions and concerns, psy.

~Bruno~

No, and it has been like that for months.
It doesn't meatter what yiu changed in your profile page, as long as you press save it will be a new save, so anything that isn't allowed will be converted to the new format.
For instance, if you had an image in your sig it would remain there, but if you went to your profile to do something elese, or even do nothing, if you pressed the save nutton it would remove the image you had on your sig.

To be clear, I did not go to my profile until I noticed that the animated image was missing. The only thing I saw was https:// and nothing else. What used to be there was the complete link to the wiki page that I acquired the image from.

But I'm not making a federal case out of it. But somebody better be checking theymos to make sure he's not coding in French. Grin

Thanks, theymos and psy. Later, buds.

Tell me again what you want me to do to that suicidal Texan: Play him a song, blast his kneecaps, or fuck him in the ass?

Paco Ahlgren and interview about he's book Discipline

I'm putting this one at the top of the list, just below Satoshi Nakamoto. I'll link to his book via Amazon until somebody provides me a better link. Thanks for the suggestion, World.

Didn't I see you on the cover of Bitcoin Magazine?

You guys can laugh all you want, but I want my spinning skull back!

The thing is, Bruno, that was made that way to avoid non-ssl links on the hotlinked avatars, to avoid freaking out users because some lame browsers **cough**chrome**cough** show a red cross on the ssl bar when there are non-ssl elements on the page.
You can see that happening right now on this page because you hotlinked the gif on the first post using a non-ssl link Tongue
When your gif gets uploaded to the forum as an attachment it is converted into a png, so there goes the animation.

But I put a lot of thought into which avatar to use. (give me time to rephrase that)

Are you saying that nobody has an animated avatar now. Before you answer that, allow me to to direct you to this guy's avatar, which still seems to be working.

Is that BitcoinPorn ?

Discrimination seems frequent on these forums Cheesy

You got that shit right! Notice the French whore pumping the QR Code that directs you to some lame website--theymosistheboss.com.

That said/That being said

There was this Afro-American on the Weather Channel that used that line at least six times during each time he was on the air. Unfortunately, I now find myself using it a tad to often. That said, when is this damn heat going to pass?

If I received a bitcoin for everytime I saw someone as beautiful as you, I'd have one bitcoin.

I'm sincerely interested in what's going on with the ellet. I was actually looking forward to seeing it, and just wondered why we weren't getting any updates on it. I understand you've got a business to run and can't just tell me everything. Just curious as to when/if to expect an official ellet announcement.

My response (copying here for clarity):

I've fired one engineer for reasons of a professional nature and actually added 2 more to handle different aspects of the technology involved, we had some issues with our manufacturing agent as well due to disagreements on a very expensive design concept for the final prototype, and my personal director of operations has had a stomach flu for about a week. No one is more annoyed of a lack of announcements than I, but there is nothing to announce just yet. I believe next week will be a bit different and for those subscribed to the Bitcoin Magazine (http://subscribe.bitcoinmagazine.net) they'll get a sneak peak before anyone else. Thanks for your patience and I can't wait to shake things up.

This is not meant as a diss post, Matthew, but...

Back Story: George Jones (the country singer) will forever be known as "No Show" Jones because... [urlhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Jones]His wild lifestyle led to Jones missing many performances, earning him the nickname "No Show Jones."[/url]

That said, could "Always Late Wright" be your shtick?

"We should stop here, this isn't batcountry!"

Am I doing it right?

Here's the way to do it:

"We should stop here! This is bat country. Let's pick up some guano!" - (site original author, should be notable, but not a deal breaker)

Then alter the quote, relating it to Bitcoin as much as possible, like...

"We should stop here! This is BTCitcoin country. Let's mine some coins!" - BTCruno (then add your name here)

But if I would have done that, I wouldn't have received the bump on the head and scrapped the left side of my face when the 8' X 6' barn door fell on me.

Coming back and reading through this thread, I learned that Phinnaeus CAN hit the broad side of a barn. With his face.

And to think that I once penned this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=59961.msg996322#msg996322
