P.S: Coinbase is even worse, they don't even give you the private key, use Electrum.

Isn't there like an option to be able to manage your own private keys with coinbase?
1503  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [USA/CANADA GROUP BUY] Denarium Silver 1 BTC Coins on: October 28, 2015, 02:42:46 AM
Bumping.

Auction ends in 18.5 hours.

PM or post here if you are interested in joining the group shipment.

After this auction, two more will be held for 15 coins each.

I'd be interested in a group buy thru an EU intermediary that could get me a couple loaded coins to a US address..

I mean if we want to do a huge group shipment of various coins from the EU... Just depends on how monkeynuts would feel about adding other coins.

Also when payments are sorted out. How would you guys feel about splitting the cost based on coins purchased, or just individuals participating? (individuals would be split equally amount the group of people. while coin split would be based on how many coins you purchased compared to the rest of the group)
1504  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: PSU's on: October 28, 2015, 01:26:28 AM
Seriously folks...

This an S3.

Find ANY 430w or 460w or whatever the cheapest Cooler Master, Antec, or whatever other $5 power supply that Goodwill has lying around or you can scrap out of some old PC.

Try the goodwill outlet for the $0.89/lb stuff.

You'll want one with at least two 15A 12v rails, or a single 12v rail of 30A or higher, try to find one with 2 PCI-E 6-pin connectors already attached, otherwise you may need to use the motherboard pins in creative fashion or get a HDD style molex to PCI-E adapter (these are usually 2 into 1), but will often cost you as much as a power supply, even though they shipped free with video cards for a couple years there and are plentiful in surplus locations and labs everywhere.

Think CHEAP!  This is an S3, right now, if your power is under $0.10 USD/kw, and you get a cheap enough supply, depending on what you paid for the unit, you might make some coin!

Good luck!

Do the math on S3 you will lose money if at 10 cents you really need cheaper.  There are those who run gear and justify loss as heaters.  But I would rater run a machine I don't lose and spend more and still get that free heat.

But on cheap PSU... bad advice.   Some are crazy bad on PCIe cables.  Everything from just cheap cables to horrible adapters.  Fire scares me... so I use proper PSU's.  Dont think cheap think safe.

A good PSU you can use multiple generations of miners.

I used to base a ton of PSU purchases off this list that is pretty old, but still good
https://community.newegg.com/eggxpert/computer_hardware/f/135081/t/45344.aspx

So far EVGA and Corsair have been very solid PSUs for my uses, as well as when I had been mining.

All your pictures look like stock pictures.. Maybe some of the original packaging (with a name and timestamp) would be better for credibility.

Do you accept escrow?

i have some dell gift cards if someone is interested.right now i have around 1k.price is negotiable.we trade on localbitcoins

Just some advice, people here on this forum have been able to buy and sell LBC accounts. And most of the time if you have rep on another forum, it doesn't transfer over to another.

You are better off using a reputable escrow, such as OgNasty to conduct business as he is one of many reputable people that has helped others with deals.

Also this should be moved to the Digital Goods section.

300 to stay without jumping all around is going to take quite a bit of sells to happen I think personally before it sticks.  I would love to see 300 as a solid price though.

I like 300, too.  It's a nice round number, and it looks much better than 200.  Grin

I'm not sure exactly what is driving the recent price increase, but it's nice to see the price getting back up to where it was before XT launched.  That really threw a monkey wrench into everything and was part of the reason we lost all that ground price-wise I think.  So maybe not so much making head way as it is gaining lost ground.

Well there's always micro factors impacting the price
Gemini while not a real player was touted and had a lot of PR so that may have acquired some attention, the same with the MMM schemes getting more popular in China and the 1mb issue quieting down a bit again.

Bitcoin Difficulty:   60,883,825,480
Estimated Next Difficulty:   62,236,069,463 (+2.22%)
Adjust time:   After 433 Blocks, About 2.9 days
Hashrate(?):   449,411,253 GH/s

I feel if this price backs down, that the difficulty will not move much more than a percent right now.

Only because difficulty is sort of stable night now. Nothing too large and nothing dropping hard. Bitcoin probably will continue this trend of up and down because it loves playing at $300. But doesn't stay there long.

So right now I am thinking in hypothetically, as well as basing this off ratios and percentages.
If each coin was sold at 0.038 per

the price breakdown works along the lines of

Gray(only because this is the most common it starts the baseline): 0.038
Green: 0.23
Yellow: 0.42
Red: 0.63
Orange: 1.26

only if you are thinking of this from an out of 200 consumer consumed coins.

People can feel free to discuss tho Cheesy
I am sure Oranges will be very hard to acquire.

minerjones probably has all of them, *wink wink, nudge nudge*

1517  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [USA/CANADA GROUP BUY] Denarium Silver 1 BTC Coins on: October 23, 2015, 06:00:17 PM
I would like to be in the group buy.  I would like to get one of the auction 1 BTC coins, should I win one, and ideally one of the custom unfunded coins from the website.  I'm in the US.

To clarify, monkeynuts hasnt offered to do this.  However should he wish to, I would recommend him.  It would be worthwhile for someone else in Europe to reship the package to the US group buy leader, in order to avoid the 60 Euro Finland charge.

Also we could potentially get loaded coins if that interests buyers. Only because Technomage can't send loaded coins to the US.
1518  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] 20x Denarium 1 BTC Physical Bitcoin on: October 23, 2015, 05:58:42 PM
It is important to note though that we can't ship L series or loaded M series to the US, but E series and empty M series we can.

I do have one question, if we do a group buy, could we ship loaded coins to say, the UK.
Then have it routed to the US, would that cause any legal troubles for you?

Because technically you would be shipping to the UK.
1519  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] 20x Denarium 1 BTC Physical Bitcoin on: October 23, 2015, 05:49:31 PM
I wish I could bid higher, but the shipping cost to the USA is way too high for me.  Unfortunately, I will not be bidding again.

I really like the coins though.  Smiley

There is a group order possibility for US orders. We can combine the shipping so it will be more reasonable. This combining can be done from our side as well, as long as I get verification from all participants on how it should be done.

There is good possibilities to arrange this even after the auction as it will take a couple of months before we are shipping anything.

Have no fear!

I am currently contacting a couple of people of shipping to the US, and getting the rates down a little.

With the help of bithalo and minerjones offering great advice.

1520  Economy / Collectibles / [(Updated 4/2)USA/CANADA GROUP BUY] Denarium Silver 1 BTC Coins on: October 23, 2015, 05:48:37 PM
I am opening this thread to help get a group shipment of Denarium Silver coins to the US for a reasonable price.

UPDATE 3/31:

Package has arrived in the US, and should be getting it soon.

Will be sending out a message to everyone to confirm shipping details.

Cost Breakdown (So Far):

60 Euros for Denarium to Mitchell (0.15BTC)
Estimated at 26 Euros to ship to the US (0.07BTC)

Estimated US shipping of $6 for flat rate boxes, any additional services will incur additional fees (Signature confirmation, etc.)

Optional: Grading Coins $20 per coin, $3 for imaging of coin

(Price Breakdown per Person)
60 Euros for Denarium to Mitchell (0.15BTC)
Estimated at 26 Euros to ship to the US (0.07BTC)

0.22BTC / 9 people = 0.0244 per person

$6 for flat rate box shipping (0.015 per person)

So overall each person is getting coins shipped to them for approximately 0.04BTC or just under $17.

Silver 1BTC Coins
Empty Coins on sale now: https://denarium.com/product/denarium-1-btc-empty

Loaded Coins on Sale now: https://denarium.com/product/denarium-1-btc

I will be working on contacting techomage to have a group package sent and have a complete list of coins that belong to each person that had won/bought coins from his auctions.

How Shipping Will Work:
We will have Denarium ship to Mitchell, Mitchell will then re-ship to me, I will then divide up the coins and ship to the respective buyers.
Shipping costs between Mitchell and I:
I will split the shipping cost by person.

Shipping Costs to you:
I will ship coins by US priority mail flat rate boxes with nice and cozy bubblewrap. It'll be $6 inside the US. If you don't want tracking I believe I can ship for something like $2-3.

If shipping to Canada, it should be somewhere around $5-8 in a bubble envelope. If by priority mail boxes around $21.
