1501  Other / Archival / Re: Don't worry, bitcoin is cyclical on: September 28, 2022, 05:59:49 AM
The fact that the Bitcoin market is cyclical doesn't mean that the cyclic pattern will continue forever.
The cycles that lead to bigger ATHs would continue only if there is bigger BTC adoption around the world. I can't see such massive adoption right now. Even the mass Bitcoin adoption in El Salvador kinda failed. Some countries simply aren't ready for Bitcoin.
There's always a risk of the global "powers that be" banning all PoW blockchains and favoriting CBDCs and PoS altcoins.
Do you really think that the Bitcoin price would hit 100K USD, if such thing happens? I'm not spreading FUD here, I'm just trying to be realistic.
Another risk is banning all hardware non-custodial wallets and requiring all BTC users to keep their coins in centralized custodial wallets that comply with KYC policies. This wipes away the entire concept of Bitcoin and "be your own bank".
I still believe that another ATH price will be reached in 2024 or 2025, but I also have doubts. Sad
1502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About Online casino/gambling projects on: September 27, 2022, 10:50:50 AM
I am starting to have this crazy interest in crypto gambling projects like online casinos and stuff but I want to ask, this utility have been around for years but is there any old project that live this long and still functions?

Also what are the things that kills such project because even one or two survived for long I don't see many alive till now, they fail easily or turn scam later.

You want to start your own gambling project or you are simply wanting to know more about old gambling projects out of curiosity?
The things that could potentially kill a gambling project are:
1.The owner/s of the project getting greedy and running away with the money. A.K.A Exit scam.
2.A website that doesn't look good enough and lacks functionality.
3.Lack of good advertising.
4.Lack of customer support or bad customer support.
1503  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is a creeping beast on: September 27, 2022, 10:31:49 AM
Quote
The world at this point needs a decentralised currency that can be monitored through a public ledger  that way excessive money printing will be curtailed and going by how challenging keeping up with the rapid inflation has become there is every tendency of having worst GDPs in coming years because if manufacturers and Producers fails to meet up the hight cost of production then they will in due cause turn to low standard products just to keep the demands and stay in production

A decentralized currency cannot solve issues like big budget deficits and enormous national debts, wars and natural resources being possessed and exported by countries with authoritarian regimes. The politicians will always want to control the monetary supply. They can't simply give up their control. The rich elites don't want the people to have independence and control over their own destiny.
High inflation is a problem for almost everyone in the world and it doesn't matter how you describe it.
In times of chaos and insecurity, most of the people actually want more centralization, rather than decentralization. This is sad but true.

1504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Parents And Their Children In Gambling.. on: September 27, 2022, 06:29:25 AM
I don't think that this topic is about Gambling. It's more about being humble and have some decency, while you are living an easy life in God-mode and you have everything served on a silver platter. Angry
Michael Jordan decides what to do with his money and how to teach his son some life lessons(if he's ever going to teach him about anything).
Life always comes back and bites you in the a$$, it doesn't matter how rich you are.
I don't have children, but if I had any children, I would never give them money for gambling and strip clubs. Even if I was a millionaire or billionaire, I would never do such thing.

1505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen If Bitcoin got stabled ? on: September 27, 2022, 06:05:52 AM
If Bitcoin got stable there will be no huge inflection. This will stable almost all coins. And there will be no huge up and down. All the top coins will not depend on Bitcoin.
Whenever Bitcoin got stabled, All the market will be stable in a result of that.
Question is that how Bitcoin can be stable?  If it got stabled that will happen?

I guess that by "inflection" you mean price volatility. The word "inflection" has a different meaning, according to the dictionary.
"Stable markets" aren't interesting for the speculative investors and without speculative investors there will be no market liquidity.
The prices will simply crash and the market will be abandoned. What makes a stable Bitcoin better than fiat money? Nothing.
Nothing is stable in the financial world. Fiat money aren't stable, even though they give the illusion of stability.
This question has been asked a million times on the forum and I don't think that there's any point discussing it, because Bitcoin Core will never turn into a stablecoin.
1506  Economy / Economics / Re: The economic effect of people flying from RF mandatory conscription on: September 26, 2022, 12:08:41 PM
Quote
What will be the effect on RF economy?

Is this a rhetorical question? The impact will be negative, of course. Many people with good education will leave the country.
The scale of the negative impact probably won't be that big. Tens of thousands of people aren't that big number for a country with 146 million, but most of the people running away are skilled and educated.

Quote
Even if this happens, there is always the possibility that Russia will import labor from friendly countries.

What friendly countries? North Korea and Syria? Perhaps North Korea might send several thousand educated people, but they will have to learn Russian first. I don't think that the regime in North Korea would let educated people leave the country. They probably won't go back once they leave.
1507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: HeadsTails | Simplified Prediction Betting w/ Revenue Sharing via Crypto on: September 26, 2022, 06:31:52 AM
Prediction betting platforms usually don't get the same attention as online casinos and sports betting platforms.
I think that it will be really hard for you to build a large customer base of active gamblers. Most sports betting platforms and even crypto casinos can offer the same thing you are offering, but they don't offer such services because they don't see any benefit, probably because 90% of the gamblers don't care about betting on events.
1% of the prize pool for submitting event suggestions doesn't seem that much and I don't think anyone would be incentivized to join the platform and suggest any event. I assume that the prize pool will be very small, most of the time.
Anyway, good luck with this project, OP.
1508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto- If he ever made himself known what would make you believe it? on: September 26, 2022, 06:11:11 AM
Quote
On a side note, if Satoshi ever did come out and be able to prove his identity, how do you think that the world/governments would respond? Its honestly a scary thought, because there are so many people that hate crypto and bitcoin. Someone like him would surely become a target. Which is no doubt the reason he has kept his identity a secret.

Why would Satoshi Nakamoto become a target? Did he do something illegal?
The creator of Ethereum Vitalik Buterin is a public figure and everyone in the crypto world knows who he is.
Did the crypto haters try to do something bad to Buterin? Nope. Do you think that the crypto haters will try to kill or put Buterin in jail? I don't think so.
Do you think that killing Satoshi Nakamoto (or putting him in prison) would destroy the Bitcoin Core blockchain? I don't think so.
Bitcoin Core is doing just fine without him for several years. Satoshi appearing out of nowhere and revealing his identity won't change anything at this point.
1509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: September 25, 2022, 10:04:35 AM
Great goal for Hungary against Germany a few days ago. I didn't expect Hungary to beat the German team in Germany.
Switzerland won against Spain with two goals scored out of corners. This is the way to win against the Spanish team.
My prediction about the UEFA Nations league being the place where the small teams have a change to beat big teams like Germany, England, Italy, France and Spain was true. The big teams simply don't care that much about this tournament. They can go away with a loss here and there and this won't damage their chances of participating in the European cup. It's hilarious to see some "football experts" saying that Germany, England and France are in a crisis only because their results in the Nations League aren't good.
1510  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin or Netcoin ? on: September 25, 2022, 06:21:06 AM
That's some really interesting info.
What about the other info on the domain registrar. Nobody is saying anything about the city of Nakano in the province of Tokyo.
Is this Anonymousspeech LLC a company that was registered by Satoshi Nakamoto? I don't believe that Satoshi is Japanese. Perhaps he did this to fool everyone about being Japanese.
Netcoins sounds OK as a name, but Bitcoin is what we got used to in the last 12 years, so almost all the Bitcoiners would think that Bitcoin is a better name. The name doesn't matter that much. What matters is the concept. Would you still use Bitcoin, if it's name was Netcoin, Blockcoin or even Satoshicoin?  Grin
1511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: September 23, 2022, 10:06:08 AM
Turkey was pretty close to a humiliating defeat against Luxemburg, but they managed to equalize the result at the end.
The rest of the games were no surprise. France, Belgium and Netherlands were way stronger than their opponents. Croatia had problems with Denmark, but the Croatian attack was really good at the end of the game. Can't wait to see Italy vs. England. The English team seems like a favorite for winning this match, but the Italians cannot be underestimated. I also think that Gibraltar can get a draw against Bulgaria.
1512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino Stake.com sued for $400 million on: September 23, 2022, 06:16:29 AM
Such lawsuits take years before the final verdict and in most cases both sides would agree on a settlement for a way lower price.
Stake.com will be fine in the next year or two. There's nothing to worry about in the short term. Stake won't turn into an exit scam.

Quote
Anyway, I've looked and search the Stake.com, it says here that the company has an estimated value amounting to $1 Billion.

This is pretty exaggerated. I don't know how to calculate the value of a big online crypto casino, but 1 billion USD seems way over the top.
Bear in mind that such lawsuit would lower the value of Stake significantly, because many gamblers would just panic and run away from the casino.
1513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple (XRP) goes up, Bitcoin stays flat or even lose value on: September 23, 2022, 05:50:35 AM
The US dollar is getting stronger. That's why all the stablecoin shitcoins backed by US dollars are getting stronger. This is temporary.
Ripple isn't a stablecoin, but it shares some similarities with the stablecoins.
Why do you think that Ripple would go to the moon? Ripple doesn't have any scarcity that could cause the price to hit a massive bull run.
Stablecoins like USDT and USDC being at the 3rd and 4th place in terms of market cap is a sign that the crypto winter will continue and many traders simply don't want to take risks and invest in the more volatile coins.
1514  Economy / Economics / Re: US Economy Is a Safer Bet Than ‘Dire’ Europe, Goldman Strategists Say on: September 22, 2022, 10:26:34 AM
The US economy is in a better shape than the European economy because:
1.USA produces it's own oil and natural gas, while Europe has to import oil and gas from Russia.
2.The Federal Reserve increased the interest rates, while the European Central bank is acting too late and the interest rate hikes are too small.
3.The Italian government debt is a ticking time bomb. USA has the biggest government debt, but no creditor in the world would want the USA to go bankrupt.
Anyway, the upcoming recession is going to be global, so it doesn't matter which country will be a "safer bet". All countries are going to face the consequences in one way or another.
1515  Economy / Gambling / Re: I play on dueblits on strip club and win on: September 22, 2022, 06:39:31 AM
What's the point of bragging about this in the forum? Making more people envy? Grin
Nobody would believe you if you don't provide any valid poof.
I could make a post stating that I've won a million dollars in a casino. Who would believe me?
If your post is true, congratulations. You've had a great day. It happens sometimes. Most of the time life sucks.
I don't play gambling games on strip clubs because:
1.There aren't any strip clubs where I live.
2.This must be super distracting.
By the way, I think that you should move this post in the Gambling Discussion forum. Otherwise it might get deleted.
1516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nobel prize for Satoshi. on: September 22, 2022, 06:06:10 AM
Satoshi deserves a Nobel prize, but he would refuse to take it, because this is against his beliefs.
Most of the Nobel prize winners in the Economics category were fanatic fiat money supporters. They were pro-establishment, while Satoshi wanted to create an alternative to the fiat financial system, which means that he is anti-establishment.
Even if Satoshi was nominated for a Nobel prize, the Nobel committee would never pick him as the winner in the Economic science category.
We don't know about Satoshi's views on the current state of Bitcoin. Does he like what he created or is he disappointed with Bitcoin/crypto?
I'm not sure, but I think that he might be disappointed with the transformation of Bitcoin into a speculative investment asset.
1517  Economy / Economics / Re: Going to war means let's ulter the economic progression on: September 21, 2022, 10:04:21 AM
The global recession was coming even without the war in Ukraine. The war in Ukraine will simply accelerate the whole process.
There's nothing we can do to stop the war. Russia is mobilizing approximately 300K men, so this war is going to continue in the next year or two. A good thing is that the global recession might push the oil prices down, which might help the western and Asian economies a little bit.
Russia is building a wartime economy, which seems like an experiment that would fail in the long run, despite the massive abundance of natural resources. Putin doesn't care about the economic growth of Russia.
1518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino and prisons on: September 21, 2022, 06:42:51 AM
The prisoners won't need a casino in order to play gambling games. They could play poker or dice without a licensed casino.
Is it so difficult to get a deck of cards or dices? The prisoners can play non-gambling games like chess and backgammon as well. Grin
The main question is "What's the point of having a licensed casino inside a prison?" Does a prison casino have an educational purpose or the prisoners would just play for fun and waste their time? This seems like a proven way to not let some gambling addicts in prison get rid of their addiction. It doesn't look like a good idea to me.
1519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will digital dollar be a threat to bitcoin? on: September 21, 2022, 06:09:36 AM
The only short term threat regarding the digital dollar would be banning Proof-of-work blockchains and mining in the United States.
The Bitcoin miners will have to move to another country. There will be short term drops of the mining hashrate and that's all.
The digital dollar would be a bigger threat for the fiat banks rather than Bitcoin. CBDCs are designed to give more power to the central banks and I'm sure that this will make the private banks obsolete in the distant future. In the short term, private banks cannot be destroyed, because there's no new system that can replace the current fiat lending system.
Maybe PoW coins will be banned completely from all crypto exchanges in the future. Who knows?
1520  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Spare Change Investment Apps A Good Option on: September 20, 2022, 09:58:20 AM
I'm somewhat familiar with this Acorns company and their business model.
For some reason Acorns is being heavily advertised on get-paid-to websites (GPT) like Freecash, Swagbucks and Inboxdollars.
If you create Acorns account using their link and deposit 5 USD, you get a 25-40 USD commission. Pretty interesting form of marketing.
I wouldn't use services like Acorns, because I don't do online shopping that often and all this "invest your spare change" model seems exaggerated. At the end of the day, several dollars are just several dollars, you can't make them into several thousand dollars, Acorns can't offer 1000% ROI as well. It seems that Acorns and a bunch of similar companies have found their small niche in the financial world.
Good for them, but I couldn't care less about this business model and my spare change.
