1501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Short-term or long-term investment? on: February 04, 2019, 09:59:58 PM
Considering the state of the current market, only the experienced day traders can benefit from short term investment. If you are not good at day trading, they it would be better you buy and hold it for long term.

No, I disagree with you. Not only short even the long itself no longer profitable if you do not know how to read our current situation right now. We have no idea whether will we see another pump or recover again in the future or not.
for now, the best thing that we need to do is wait. Wait for the market to change or wait for the trend to change, it is not too late to join the train once everything goes back to normal, stay calm and wait for that moment.
1502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The influence of Ethereum hardfork its marketcap. on: February 04, 2019, 09:48:23 PM
I read and received information that Hardfork ethereum was delayed, and will occur on February 22, 2019. Have you got the latest news? Thank you in advance,

I can't see big difference because of that. No price rise, volume almost the same ether. average $2,500,000,000 USD daily
I got bit different information:

The tweet stated that the hard fork, which is set to be released on block 7, 280,000, will go live on February 27, 2019.
Info source: https://blockonomi.com/ethereum-constantinople-rollout/

I did hear February 22, 2019 before. But it turned out that they will not do this at least until it at block 7280000. I got the news from here ;
Quote
it was delayed because it has the potential for people to make reentrancy attacks.
here is the official news about the hardfork ;
Quote

The price will not change because the hardfork is not done yet, while we are waiting for it. The price went back to its price before it started, and we might see another attempt in the future before the hardfork takes place.
1503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Republia ICO your thoughts? on: February 03, 2019, 06:26:59 PM
Hello, recently I found out that Republia reached its hard cap, they raised 50 million dollars mainly thanks to Paxnet. There are not so many ICOs that reach even softcap in their presale. What is your thought that they are so successful? Wink

If during the bear market investors trust the project and pay $50M, it must be a good project. Unfortunately, I could not find their announcement thread (doesn't exist) and on the website is no information about the amount they managed to collect. I also wonder if this amount is real..  Roll Eyes

Here is the link to their website: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4841968.0, not sure what is going on with the link on his signature. It does not work at all.
about the fund, I agree with you. Not even on their social media mentions anything about the sale.
another thing is their activity, last year was the last time they posted anything or joined any event.
1504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Excelsior [XLS] CPU based coin [POW] on: February 03, 2019, 05:47:23 PM
Need Pool

The thread starter says this

Quote
F.A.Q.
Q: How do I mine Excelsior?
A: Just download the miner from github.
Q: How can I make a pool?
A: You would not be able to make a pool.

There will be no pool in the future because they are not allowing us to make any pool.

Quote
coin swap to the abandoned Celestial project.
What does that mean? got the link to this so-called Celestial project?
need more information about the project itself, the team and the roadmap. 1% Premine is not that bad, but we have yet to verify it.
I will keep watching this.

Thank you

I like a self-funded project and this project is on my watchlist currently, but please can you stop spamming your ads all over the thread? it does not look good and my faith in your project is affected too because of your action. Nobody will believe you if you have nothing, try to improve the way you promote it.
get in touch with the developer directly and make an agreement with them, it is more effective compared to spamming all over the thread.
1506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] | BlueBeasts (TBB) | PoW/PoS | Wish Algo | MasterNodes | Velocity | VRX 3 on: February 02, 2019, 07:02:24 PM
Your website http://www.bluebeasts-coincoin.com/ is not accessible, do you have anything else or another source to figure this BlueMidnightWish512 algorithm up?
never heard of it even once before, do you have a whitepaper right now?
I ever found some project before, and they used wish kind of algorithm on their project. But when we were installing it, it was quark algorithm with a virus attached.
waiting for more information about this algorithm and project, I hope you are a unique one.
1507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread on: February 01, 2019, 06:02:16 PM

We are looking forward to seeing the mainnet release of Semux Smart Contracts.. Also very curious is you will be able to achieve anywhere near 5,000 txs per block!

I don't think they will be able to get 5000 per block, as they only have 1MB blocks.  For simple contracts without a lot of data, they should fit.  they hit 15,000 transactions per block in testnet with 3-5MB blocks for transfers.

I think dev team will release new perf for VM calls, but now I think it will be a matter of size of data that slows them down, not speed of transaction?

I think you can make expensive contract call that use a lot of gas, so will be interesting to see how much gas they can get in a block.

I am totally curious about its total transaction per block, how many transactions that Semux can handle per block actually? Based on the website, Semux can handle 5000 transactions per block and some of us(you included) did not agree with that because of its block size is 1 MB. Totally understandable if we are comparing it with Bitcoin itself, so what is the truth?
3~5MB block size is good at scaling, but it is practically unusable.
1508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GRIN CASH | PoS & Masternodes | Private | Anonymous Platforms | on: February 01, 2019, 05:54:47 PM
Grin Cash  Huh what next? Grin Diamond?
I do not really understand, why would we need something else or an alternative while Grin itself basically has 'nothing' so far.
if you are coming up with a new name and with a new goal other than being an alternative for something. I believe you still have a chance, but this?
I do not think so.
1509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Virtual Reality Investment Coin (VIC) on: January 30, 2019, 06:40:04 PM
what  Cheesy 700,000,000 coins PREMINED.

Yep.  Check the explorer.  Block 1 - 700,000,000

Blocks 2 - 2000 - 1/10 of a coin each

You do not have to check it on the explorer because you will see it on the thread, look at this;
Quote
<Coin iformation>

Name : VIRCOIN
Symbol : VIC
Premine : 700,000,000

I do not really understand what are you guys trying to do actually, based on this thread you are going to make something for us so we can communicate with many people across the world via Virtual Reality, that is your first statement.
but your second statement is Unique and reasonable structure that connects the mining with the profits made in 3D virtual reality.
what does that mean?
and please more detail about the allocation, you can not give us that percentage alone. Everybody will not spend anything if they do not know what will happen with those much of coins in your pocket. That is 700 Million of coins.
1510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Thoughts on upcoming profitable coins? on: January 30, 2019, 06:27:59 PM
Do you have thoughts about profitable coins in the near future?
Since GRIN difficulty is exploding and the prince sinking.

And ideas?

I have something in mind right now but it is very risky, that project is called Bulwark. It is profitable if the transition is fine and the project itself finds out a right people to handle it.
yesterday, the team announced that they are leaving the project and someone from the team itself(maybe yes or not) dumped all of his holdings.
caused the dumpage for more than 70%, it is a masternode project. Survived for almost a year and if the community wants to take it over, the price might get pumped again.
of course, there is a probability for this project to die as soon as possible if everything goes wrong.

1511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Decentralized Exchanges on: January 29, 2019, 06:52:30 PM
Merited for posting something useful like this(sorry can not give more, do not have that much left) and it would be nice to see you updating for the time being. For a suggestion, why do not you give your own opinion which one is better one in term of speed and security? or the DEX that you recommend to be used in our daily basis?
honestly speaking, I stopped using Forkdelta and Etherdelta after they got hacked twice before. And the fact that they might store our private key silently is out of control.

1513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are your expectations for this year? on: January 29, 2019, 06:24:22 PM
for this year only one, hopefully the Bitcoin ETF can be accepted sooner, the sooner the better for the development of the market, what is feared is if the longer it is delayed this can cause the market will not recover anymore

Even though it is very unlikely, I do hope this way. At least, we get something from other countries other than SEC itself. Like Switzerland did a few months ago, about the delay. It will not take have that much effect on the market, because people got tired of it. They knew the fact that it is not going to be easy to get approved by SEC.
and the fact that it has no regulation at this moment. But still, once it gets approved the market will change for sure.
1514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE END OF ETHEREUM or ? Which will be much better: Waves or TRON or METAHASH on: January 28, 2019, 06:17:15 PM
the end of ethereum? why can you conclude a statement like that?
Are you not familiar with the price volatility of ethereum?
do you feel panic now?

Panic no. I am to long in Crypto.

I try to find for me a decision and need more Opinions.

Are you sure that we still have End of this year all the shitcoins?

My Opinion is only the best which real usercase will have sucess for long Time.

Between those 3 coins that you mentioned above, it is very likely for Waves to take the lead because of their technology and their sub-project. But, you do not have to take any decision yet until ETH activate their Constantinople hardfork in late February. Based on the data and news that I gathered before the hardfrok, this upgrade means to upgrade and solve ETH's scaling issue.
they said it will push the transaction into a thousand transactions per second or maybe more than that.
Tron is bad, and Metahash is not ready yet.
1515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TWINS][MN/POS] Birth Notice on: January 28, 2019, 05:42:44 PM
You are crazy there. The master node has 1.000.000 coins. The first time I see so many coins. They made at least two times less, and so much.

Nothing is wrong in here, with 300 Millions of coin on circulation right now. This is not the first time we are seeing it, look at X-cash for example. They are going to implement Masternode too and they require 100 Millions of coin to run a single node. It is all about the supply and project perspective.

Hmm interesting project, will take a look.

Try to join their social media, you will get a new update from them on their Discord. Also, if you can give them a contribution or offer them your skill. You have a chance to get some coins from your work.
1516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can anyone or experts still predict/ forecast cryptocurrency nowadays? on: January 25, 2019, 06:42:20 PM
markets are unpredictable... regarding  cryptpomarket, is still more difficult to have an accurate forecast because of the high volatility. Anyway, it is pretty clear to me , that marketcap will rise in the longterm (more than 5 years), and this will become mainstream maybe in one decade, so less fiat will be used. why? because the benefits of crypto are obvious!

If we are talking about the actual movement, nobody can read that absolutely. But he was talking about some expert trying to predict the future, and obviously everybody can do that right now. Even you, me and other people on this thread can do that. And about our total marketcap, nobody can guarantee us anything whether it is going to rise again or not.
remember, right now cryptocurrency is pure of speculation. The value is created based on speculation and hype unless we have something called a real usage in our real-life. There is no guarantee that cryptocurrency will survive for a long time.
1517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Klimatas - Disruptive Sustainability - PoS / MN on: January 25, 2019, 06:33:37 PM
Based on your reward overview, there are 3 things that we can do to get it which are Proof of Work(Mining it), Proof of Stake(Staking), and Masternode. Am I correct?
if I am correct, why do not you put POW/POS/MN on the title? even though the idea is quite old and nobody can achieve that until now. I am tempted to mine it now, also did you know that your explorer cannot be accessed right now?

Edit: My bad, after re-read again. It was total rewards per block and there are only 2 things that we can do right now. Staking it and Running the node.
1518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it good to buy EOS token for investment on: January 24, 2019, 08:42:22 PM
In the investment perspective, EOS is a top-notch project. It has a good marketing team, a huge backer behind it and more importantly the shillers. You will find a lot of people shilling this project on social media, for example; Twitter.
Whenever you type anything related to cryptocurrency on Twitter, you will see #EOS tag on it. But personally speaking, I do not like this project. It is only good at gaining Return of Investment instead of development, which is why I do not root it that much. Usually, this kind of project will survive for a couple of years until something else coming up.
1519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins That Do Not Depend on BTC Price? on: January 24, 2019, 08:36:05 PM
Are there any altcoins that does not depend on btc price?  As most of you know, btc price goes up, altcoin price goes up.  When btc prices goes down, altcoin price follows.  But are there any altcoins that does not care what btc price does?  If so, what are these coins?

Everything depends on Bitcoin no exception, that was why those coins were named as an alternative cryptocurrency. It is an alternative for us to use it and the main cryptocurrency is Bitcoin itself. No matter what project it is, everything depends on Bitcoin. If Bitcoin gets banned in some place, another cryptocurrency will be affected too. On the other hand, if something gets banned in some place, Bitcoin might be not.
1520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most Hodlers have now turned to Traders? on: January 23, 2019, 04:12:49 PM
Many hodlers now are selling their coins to have a capital for trading to recover their losses on this bear market. Well, I think for now that will be the best decision. The crypto market now is stable and it is good for trading.

What do you think guys is the best thing to do this time? Hodl and wait or Trade and get profit.

It is not because of stability but instead, it is all because of probability, holding is not as good as it used to be. Being a holder is good for us a couple years ago when Bitcoin and any other cryptocurrency is on buy range, but right now we are out of it. Nobody can guarantee us that Bitcoin and others will survive until tomorrow, next month or year.
That was why some of them decided to liquidate their position and turned it into trading.
